Cool and comfortable loft on a superbe location nearby Wageningen city centre, University and free nature. There is one double bedroom with bathroom ensuite. The loft has a garden on two sides. The apartment is very comfortable for two persons.

The space
The appartment is completely renovated in 2010 and is nowadays a light filled space. You'll enjoy cooking in the well equipped kitchen and eating in the spacious dining area. The living room which is enclosed at the dining room is erfect place to relax and launch. There is a television with many different (international) TV channels.
At the front and backside there is a small terrace/ garden, there is sunlight in morning and there is sunlight in the evening. The backyard is ideal for your diner by sunset. It is quite peaceful to relax after a full day in Wageningen (University), environment or other city’s nearby.

The double bed in the master bedroom is 1.20x2m. If you travel with 2, you can also use the guest room with a single bed of .90x2m

The space
Welcome to De Palm, a cozy and just renovated apartment on the beautiful Wageningse Berg, right next to the Belmonte Arboretum. Here you can enjoy peace and nature, while still staying centrally. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the cozy center of Wageningen, and the WUR is only a 15 minute bike ride away (two bikes included!).

Location
The Palm is perfectly located between the Veluwe and the Betuwe. Behind the house you take the ferry and cycle into the Betuwe, while in the other direction you reach the woods of the Veluwe within no time. Directly from the apartment you can take beautiful walks over the dyke, through the floodplains and along the arboreta. Two Clog trails (marked hiking trails) run right past the house and offer a unique hiking experience.

The apartment
Now that our children are out of the house, we have created a comfortable and cozy apartment where our guests will hopefully feel at home.
• Private entrance through a spiral staircase at the back of the house, directly to the sunny south-facing balcony with a table and two chairs.
• Sleeping and living space with a comfortable double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), a cozy two-seater sofa and a movable screen.
• Fully equipped kitchen with a Smeg fridge, oven, microwave and two burner hob, plus a homemade dining and work table
• Just renovated bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.
• Good climate control: radiators in all rooms, underfloor heating in the bathroom, and an air conditioning for both cooling in summer and extra heating in winter.

Practical information & accessibility
• Check-in: via a lockbox or in person, depending on the possibilities and wishes.
• Transportation: Two free bicycles available for our guests.
• Parking: In private driveway or for free in the street.
• Public transport: Bus stop at 800 meters (direction Arnhem or Wageningen bus station). Wageningen bus station is 1.2 km away.

The name "The Palm"
The apartment owes its name to the imposing palm tree that grows next to the spiral staircase against the house. The previous residents took home a plant or bush after every vacation. After a trip to Lake Lugano, they planted an azalea, which probably had a palm seed. Thanks to its sheltered south-facing location, this palm has now grown tall and is a special feature of the house.

With its French doors it has a beautiful view over the woods.

The house is surrounded by a large enclosed beautiful garden of approximately 1500 m2, entirely for use by the tenants of this apartment.

The apartment is comfortably furnished. Equipped with a bathroom and kitchenette with professional oven.

Throughout the day you can hear fantastic orchestras of many different birds!

In the evening you can enjoy your wine under the stars, there is a very good stargazer that you can use :)

2 beautiful hammocks hang between the trees.

Chickens (no cockerels) roam outside the door, so fresh eggs in the morning!
