This charming simple cottage is ideally suited to an individual or couple looking for an idyllic break away. Situated on a five acre small holding of deep peace and beauty in the hills at the foot of the wild Cambrian mountains six miles up from the Welsh market town of Lampeter.
The Cottage at Cwrt is a perfect place to connect with nature, take long country walks, or simply sit in the garden and enjoying the tranquility and wildlife.

The space
Annexed to a long stone built farmhouse, occupied by the host, this little cottage has its own front door and is completely self contained.

The ground floor living space is one room with a kitchenette, table and chairs, two comfortable armchairs and a big picture window overlooking the garden. The floor has traditional quarry tiles, and a large rug. Bring your slippers!

The kitchenette provides a basic cooking space to prepare your meals. A very efficient wood burning stove heats the whole cottage and can keep your kettle hot for that cuppa.

Upstairs there is one bedroom with comfortable double bed, an en-suite shower, wash basin and toilet. The bedroom is light and airy with a large skylight.

Surrounded by mature trees, there is a large lawned area and vegetable and fruit gardens. A haven for wildlife, the pond is home to abundant frogs and newts and the meadow has an ever increasing variety of wildflowers. There are many nesting birds and the dawn chorus in the spring is the only noise likely to wake you. Owls and bats are the night entertainment and on clear nights, with no light pollution, starry nights are spectacular. Bordered by a mountain stream and deserted ancient lanes, there are many secluded places to retreat and just be with nature.

Guests are able to wander around and enjoy the full 5 acre plot, with the exception of any of the buildings / barns onsite. Please do ask the Host for permission before enjoying any of the fruit or vegetables grown on-site.

The Moo-Tel is our new holiday accommodation with 11 purpose-built rooms, each with its own outside patio area with table and chairs, the Moo-Tel has everything you need for the perfect getaway with your partner, pooch, family or friends!
Each room is equipped with free WiFi, a television and en-suite bathroom. Room 3 is used as our bridal accommodation and boasts a beautiful handmade 4 poster bed.
Breakfast can be pre-booked on arrival for £9 per adult and £5 per child.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space, in one of the few areas of Europe to be awarded the Dark Sky designation for low light pollution.

You’re never far from things to do on your perfect getaway weekend, with the nearest beach (the choice for local surfers) only 200 metres away, and the idyllic seaside town Aberaeron only a mile away. Both of these can be accessed along the coastal path.

The space
The lodge has a fully-equipped immaculate open kitchen and living room, as well as a bathroom with electric shower and bedroom with a queen sized bed. Plenty of space to unwind.

Guest access
Nestled amongst the trees away from the road, your private accommodation has its own entrance and parking and access to the wooded garden next to it.

* For those with dogs it must be noted that whilst the wooded garden is fenced off, we do not guarantee it is escape-proof for the most determined of dogs. The entrance also requires access via steps, and is unfortunately unsuitable for those with walking impairments.

Other things to note
We are in a prime location for whatever activity countryside activity you feel like. Just 15 minutes away in New Quay there is the marine conservation area home to the bottlenose dolphin, as well as sea fishing trips, water sports and restaurants overlooking the sandy beaches. In the opposite direction 38 minutes away you have Bwlch Nant yr Arian, where you can watch the daily feeding of over 150 red kites at the conservation park, or get the thrills of a challenging 22-mile long purpose-built mountain bike trail.

At the end of your day you can return to a stunning panoramic view of the view for a perfect sunset. We also have an outdoor sitting area complete with BBQ for you and your loved ones to unwind. The living room also has a 43” TV and electric fire for something more cosy.

The Piggery at Maesycoed: A beautifully converted barn with charm and character, nestled in the quiet countryside in Teifi Valley, Mid/West Wales. Rural but only 2 miles from Lampeter and the Ceredigion coastline is 15 miles. An ideal base to explore the surrounding area or just relax and enjoy the peace. Self-contained fully fitted with everything you need.
The large enclosed garden is perfect for relaxation with great views, outdoor eating and your dog will love it!

We are very dog-friendly - 2 dogs stay for free, please feel free to request if you have more dogs. We have a large enclosed garden and depending upon the time of year a field to exercise your dog. We really love dogs and will do our best to make you feel comfortable bringing your dogs even if they are reactive. Just let me know how I can help. We provide dog poo bags. bowls. a dog bed and extra towels . Just bring your throws if your dog likes the sofa, though there are extra supplied for your use.
We now have Fibre WiFi so possible to do online meetings with good speed. Good news for Sports fans we now have full sport package available during your stay, includes Sky, TNT, Plus Discovery +.

You have access to all The Piggery, a large annexe to our Farmhouse at Maesycoed. Your private entrance takes you into a boot room and sliding doors into the open plan kitchen and lounge area. The vaulted ceiling and large windows give plenty of light and with underfloor heating, constant hot water and a woodburning stove we know you will feel cosy in winter even if it does rain in Wales sometimes! The fully equipped kitchen with granite worktops and breakfast bar, electric range, microwave, air fryer, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge freezer with water and ice dispenser will make your self catering a pleasure.
The large lounge area has an impressive brick chimney with a woodburning stove, we supply all wood free for your stay. There is a dining area with table and four chairs and three sofas . A large smart TV with Netflix and all sport channels and there are books and board games for your entertainment.
The corridor takes you past the two bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds and up two steps to the bathroom, which has a shower and bath, washbasin and toilet.
You have your own private large enclosed garden with a view offering a large lawn, patio area with garden furniture, table and chairs, BBQ and a fire pit. Depending on the time of you will have the use of a field to walk your dog if required. Plenty of off road parking in the new parking area.

All The Piggery and garden are for your own use, having your private entrance and garden. The garden is enclosed with large grassed area and patio for outdoor dining.
