This sensitively restored Victorian house is set in 5 acres of gardens and woodland, with stunning views over Carmarthen Bay and beyond to North Devon. Broadway Country House is located between Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. All the wonders of West Wales are on the doorstep, including Pembrokeshire National Park, local theme parks, picturesque beaches, rugged countryside and Pendine Sands, famous as the home of many attempts on the world land-speed record. Originally built 300 years ago, the hotel was extended in 1914, with a new West wing and the Orangery added. Today, the house offers 9 rooms with attached bathroom, the majority with sea views. Cwtch Bach,

A cosy and contemporary little barn conversion, Cwtch Bach has been thoughtfully designed and equipped to offer a comfortable and warming place to stay.

Located on the edge of the National Park, the cottage is in a peaceful and rural area with several walking routes nearby. Just a short drive up the lane is open hillside with numerous grazing Welsh ponies and the most glorious uninterrupted views over miles of rolling countryside.

The space
The open plan living area has been designed to make the most of the space. There is a comfortable modern Ikea grey sofa that can be pulled out into a double sofa bed, a gas effect wood burner, TV with Freeview and Wifi. The dining table and pretty wood bench can seat 4 people.

Behind folding doors there is everything that you need but it is tucked into a compact galley kitchen. A combi microwave oven, a convection hob, a fridge with freezer box and sink; there is also a folding table for extra work top space.

The shower room has a corner electric shower, hand basin and toilet.

Wooden stairs lead up to the romantic bedroom where there is a gorgeous super-king bed. There is also a small desk in the window for admiring the woodland outdoor landscape and a dressing table.

There is a private and dedicated courtyard for use by guests of ‘Cwtch Bach’. It the perfect place to sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee whilst listening to the little stream. Nant Gwinau runs along the bottom of the garden. The garden is sheltered by some wonderful ancient “protected” Oak trees.

The space
Meadow Room - Space & Location
We have two bedrooms that are each en-suite with freeview TV and wi-fi, and a comfortable sitting area. This room has a Kingsize bed. The other has the option of a SuperKingsize or twin beds. There is external space to sit and enjoy the peace and fresh air (and the stars). Each room is also supplied with a kettle and a selection of hot drinks together with biscuits, fruit and sweets. There are books and DVD’s for you to borrow whilst you are here.
The house is a converted barn in a fabulous and secluded rural location yet within half a mile of the main ‘A’ road (A484) mid way between Carmarthen and Cardigan. It is set in within an old farmstead and includes two and half acres of woodland and ponds which provide a peaceful and tranquil space for you to walk in. We often have sheep grazing and always have our chatty chickens roaming around.
It is dark (no street lighting!) and on clear nights the stars are spectacular and the milky way is often to be seen. We love the nights when the moon is full and the sky cloudless. Kites and Buzzards are regular visitors and in the summer we have our own flock of Swallows and of Bats that nest and breed around our various buildings.

There is plenty of parking on site and a lock up bicycle/motor cycle store with facility to wash either. We understand the need for drying facilities and can also do a washing load for a small charge. Each of the two bedrooms has its own access from outside and its own internal room key. Come and go as you please!

A continental breakfast is available in a separate Breakfast Room which is made available to guests throughout their stay so that they can prepare and eat their own food for other meals. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. There is a full selection of crockery and cutlery, including teapots and cafetieres, and a washing up facility.
For breakfast we provide a selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit, ham, cheese, croissant, milk, butter, and a selection of bread and conserves. Other options can be available on request.
Whilst Covid remains a risk we only let one room at a time so that there is no sharing of the Breakfast Room . While Covid Rules allow , friends or family can book both rooms if they wish.

Enchanting little 1 bed cottage that sleeps 2 with its own private hot tub tucked away on the edge of the woods. Rose Cottage was originally the dairy parlour for Blaenfforest when it was a working farm. Its now been converted into a holiday cottage and the property still retains many of the original features. Its perfectly snug and ideal for relaxation away from it all! Guests can enjoy our woodland walk right from the doorstep and we also have a fully equipped gym onsite.

The space
Enjoy attentive hospitality at the former family home of beloved Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas in Laugharne on the Carmarthenshire coast. The charming boutique style en suite bedrooms each with a view across the estuary are available throughout the year and offer a fantastic short-break location in a quiet spot with views of the nearby castle estuary and countryside. Following an extensive restoration project Seaview provides a unique destination both in quality and historic provenance.

Dylan Thomas lived in 3 locations around Laugharne and moved to Sea View, with Caitlin, who was pregnant at the time, in 1938, and is quoted in saying that the 2 years they spent there was ‘the happiest period of our lives together’. Here they entertained a host of personalities including the writer TS Elliott and the painter Augustus John who memorably described it as a 'doll's house'.

You will find Seaview welcoming, comfortable and restful.

We offer a continental breakfast but we can prepare a cooked welsh breakfast for an extra cost. We can and will cater for all tastes, please let us know what your preferences are on point of booking and we will endeavor to meet your requirements. Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room which is adjacent to a restful reading/sitting room to which the guests have access.

Seaview is there to help you unwind. We have wifi throughout the building but we encourage you to switch off your phones and leave behind the outside world!
