- "First the bad bits-its past history as an hostel clearly shows, especially when you notice staff only inhabit the property, thrice daily before leaving, causing mess to linger for upto six hours. As a matter of fact, the owners are only seen during breakfast for a short period, which can be frustrating if something goes wrong, like it did with me and you have no way of contacting them; There should be, in my experience of traveling, somebody knowledgeable enough on hand, for those like me, who require additional support or prefer analogue methods. Certain things could do with a bit of updating to post covid standards, not to mention, instructions regarding breakfast and other things made more clearer, but i have moaned enough, to make my review unbalanced, so I'll move on to the positives. Despite the shady, dreary, late 00's décor, I cant fault how secure and modern the building is, For an accommodation advertised as an B&B, i wasn't expecting beautiful views, self service and all streaming services included with the price; If i had more money, time and energy, it would have been no problem to stay the entirety simply in this hybrid stay. what staff i did mange to find, were a mixture of friendly, helpful and oppositely, hard to speak with, due to language barriers. overall, i will be wanting to come back later in the year for a do-over, which will be the first time since i was eleven, that i've made a return visit to a property "

The Old Stable is a three bedroom barn conversion with stunning views over a beautiful valley. There is an excellent local pub within walking distance with a beer garden serving good food and other pubs and restaurants within easy driving distance.
We are just a short drive from Wales Airport and twenty minutes from the M4.
The city of Cardiff is only 25 minutes away by car where there are many theatres and sporting venues including the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Bay.
The Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coastline is just a couple of miles away with stunning beaches and coastal walks and the coastal town of Barry, famous for Gavin and Stacey is just five miles away. The beautiful market town of Cowbridge is just a 10 minute drive away with its many attractions including gardens, shops and restaurants.
Local footpaths make the barn an excellent venue for walkers and there are also many local cycle routes. We have a storage area for bikes with prior notice.
Local attractions close to the Barn include the newly opened Fonmon Castle with its dinosaur walk and medieval village, the Welsh Museum of Natural History in St. Fagans about 20 minutes away. There is a local farm park at the Amelia Trust just two miles away and another farm park at Warren Mill four miles away. Dyffryn Gardens now run by the National Trust is just 5 miles away.
We are a short drive from the village of St. Athan where the new Aston Martin plant is based and where you would find the closest supermarket and the old town of Llantwit Major and its beach is just 15 minutes away.
We live in the barn adjacent to the Old Stable and you drive through our garden down the drive to reach the stable yard and the parking area. We do spend time in the garden tending the plants and you may meet us there, but the terrace of the Old Stable is a flat paved area and is totally for your use during your stay.

The Jet Centre is in a unique location with stunning views over the Severn Estuary. A one bedroom, one bathroom self contained building complete with patio and hot tub; this is the perfect spot to relax and get away from it all.

The Welsh coastal path passes outside the driveway so it's ideal for walking. If you love a castle then Chepstow and Caldicot are both within easy reach where as well as the history, you can enjoy the town centre shops, pubs and restaurants.

Hot Tub

Please shower and remove body cream, makeup or any other skin product before using the hot tub.

We'll make a request for a security deposit of £100 for your booking to cover the cost of cleaning and replenishing the hot tub where the house rules have not been followed. This will be requested through AirBnB's resolution centre and returned to you once we have checked the hot tub with you on your departure.
