This cabin is located directly on the beach with unobstructed ocean and mountain views. It is an updated cabin with a rock fireplace and live edge mantle, taste fully decorated with a beach theme. It is open concept, bright and airy. The kitchen has lots of storage and fully stocked, there is a dining table, stainless appliances including a dishwasher. There is a full bathroom with tub and shower. The master bedroom boasts an ocean and mountain view from the queen size bed made up with cozy bedding. This room has a dresser and hanging closet with a barn door to unpack for a longer stay if desired. The second bedroom has a bunk with a double on the bottom and a single on top along with another single bed. The living area has a comfortable couch and chairs with an ocean view set in front of the fireplace. Outside the sliding glass door is your large covered sundeck with a picnic table and deck chairs, just off the deck is a private fire pit located on the beach. 3-night minimum stay on long weekends.

This cabin is only steps to the beach with amazing ocean and mountain views from the kitchen, living area and master bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked and has a dining area to enjoy a home cooked meal with family or friends. The master bedroom has a queen size bed made up with cozy bedding and a spectacular view from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. The second bedroom has a double and two single beds with room enough for 4 extra guests. The bathroom has a full sized tub and shower. The living area again boasts the same view along with a wood burning stove to curl up in-front of on a cool evening. There is a couch and 2 occasional chairs to enjoy while visiting, reading a good book or just relaxing. Open your sliding glass door and step onto your large sundeck complete with picnic table and deck chairs.

- "Where do I start, the property owner and “property manager” are not in agreement about the space being used on VRBO. The owner tried to get me to pay him directly, do not do that. VRBO has a great reputation for refunding when people misrepresent properties. The people living here have taken over the property from a 78 year old man who has tried to have them evicted with the RCMP. The “property manager” and his girlfriend are really nice people, they will look after your pets and even help find them when they run away (the fencing is not secure). However, there is active drug use on the property, fires being made while drugs are being used, and there are no locks on any of the doors to lock people out, you can be locked in though. There is drinking and partying with really loud music blasting until all hours of the night through to the morning but it cycles, sometimes it’s really quiet. This property is not safe for either adults or children, I had to flee after one of their binges, I was really scared and quite shaken up about it. I let the RCMP know when I was entering and leaving. They will lie and say there is no drug use but I saw them smoking either crack or meth right under my bedroom window. There is no AC, no wifi, and no cell service. I was so happy to be in a place with all my animals, and they are nice when not paranoid, but if I had brought my kid there, I would have turned around immediately. "

Available from May Long Weekend Until Mid September. 2 night minimum. Nestled in the trees, The Prospector is a great adult getaway with direct access to the lake's headwaters from this site. This cozy tent includes a queen-sized four poster bed, bedding, hardwood floors and a night stand. Prospector is our only dog friendly tent. Please keep dogs on-leash and add the Prospector pet cleaning fee to your booking. An additional trifold single mattress for a child is in the tent. Bedding for single bed must be brought by the renters. All sites come with their own propane fireplace, kitchen tent with cookstove and private outhouse. There is a shared outdoor showers, outhouse and communal space at the big barn, with sink, bbq and comfy couches. Charge your device and log on to wifi! Password is smithlake Kitchen totes, additional tents and propane for fireplaces may be rented at an additional cost.

Cancellation Policy:

No refunds will be given if you cancel less than 30 days prior to your arrival date. A 50% refund will be provided if we receive your cancellation request within 60 days of your arrival date. A full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee will be provided if we receive your cancellation request in writing more than 60 days prior to your arrival date. Please thoroughly read each listing and reach out to us before booking if you have any questions.

Rules and Regulations:

1) Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated at any time. We reserve the right to evict persons not behaving appropriately. EG: Disrespect to property, people, wildlife etc.

2) All guests are subject to the rules and regulations of the BC HOTEL KEEPERS Act - including eviction for unruly or undesirable persons on the property.

3) Quiet time is 10 PM - 7AM, please be respectful of our neighbors, guests and owners and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. No amplified music.

4) No parties or outside guests allowed in glamping area without prior permission from host

5) There is always a threat of wildlife on the Property. Food and all other attractants (items with a smell like perfumes, shampoos, body creams, etc.) must be kept locked and away at night in the designated bins and while you are away from your site. No food is permitted at any time in the glamping tents.

6)Garbage and recycling must be collected and put in appropriate bins as bear and other wildlife roam our property.

7) Each tent comes with one full propane tank for your kitchen stove, an additional tank may be rented for your fire it.

8) Absolutely no wood fires allowed on the property or beach.

9) Drive with caution at 5km/hr and please respect other guests, wildlife, and livestock by going slow.

10) No pets in the Glamping Sites: Skygazer, White Pine and Laketrail Dogs must be on leash unless otherwise indicated

11) Children must at all times be accompanied by adults while on the property.

Security Deposit and Fees:

In order to keep our property safe and create an enjoyable experience for all of our guests we take our rules and guest code of conduct seriously. We reserve the right to add the following fees to your invoice if you violate any of our rules, and by booking with us, you expressly authorize us to charge same to your credit card on file during the course of your stay:

It was about 15 minutes from the Mt Wash parkway turnoff - quite easy to get to, and there is a nearby grocery store. Overall a lovely stay! Note to bring basic cooking ingredients (cooking oil, spices, etc) as well as soap and shampoo, as these were not provided. Also the host will text you with check-in details so make sure you have reception/access to your phone beforehand. The sleeping arrangement consisted of a mattress in the loft (comfy!) and a pull-out couch which our friends did not give great reviews comfort-wise, though not atypical for a pull-out! These are fine critiques for what was overall a seamless, comfortable, and very enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay here again. "

3 night minimum for long weekends and holidays. This cabin is located directly on the beach and is a family favorite. This is a renovated two bedroom cabin with the master bedroom boasting ocean and mountain views from the queen size bed. There is lots of storage space to accommodate longer stays. The second bedroom sleeps up to 4 extra people in a double and two single beds again with lots of storage space. This cozy cabin has a full bathroom with a tub and shower, fully stocked kitchen with eating area and large living space with electric fireplace and unobstructed ocean and mountain views. Step through your sliding glass door onto your large covered sundeck and enjoy the picnic table and deck chairs while watching the local sea life. Later in the evening step off your deck and enjoy the private fire pit while watching cruise ships pass by. In the afternoon sun you can walk along beautiful white sandy Saratoga beach.

The Cottage is placed at the back of our 1 acre property, enclosed with hedges, trees, & ferns.

It's minutes away from HWY 19A & Saratoga Beach - one of our islands sandiest & family friendly beaches, along with golf, mini golf & ice cream, Saratoga speedway, and Shelter Point Distillery.

The base of Mount Washington Ski Resort is only a short 15 minute drive away.

Campbell River and Courtenay are both a 20 minute drive away.

The Cottage Kitchen is stocked with virgin olive oil, sea salt, pepper, cane sugar, ground coffee, Clever Crow spice blends, a full spice rack, tea and honey. The fridge has a Brita water filter & there are cold beer glasses in the freezer just waiting for you.

We enjoy cooking so we made sure the Cottage was stocked with all the items you'll need (other than the food).

There is a compact Breville Cafe Roma Espresso machine, a standard drip coffee maker, a french press, and a stove top coffee maker for all you coffee lovers. Our IG page @birdsongcottagebc shows a video on how to use the Espresso Machine.

The Cottage Dining Room (it is so rare to have a dining room in a Cottage, am I right?) includes a full bartending kit (minus the booze), crystal glasses, dehydrated citrus for garnish, a whiskey and wine decanter.

There is a wooden dining table, which has 2 leaves on each end to seat 6 comfortably, perfect for entertaining, filling with glorious meals, playing games, connecting with friends & family or if you have a bit of online work to do, this is the place to sit, work, and enjoy our extremely fast internet. This space has a view of the forest.

The living room includes a ceiling fan, a woodstove with wood, kindling & paper, a couch that can be converted into a double bed that sleeps 2 (which includes a foamy for added comfort), and a 42" Smart TV that has Disney+, Netflix, YouTube, and Prime.

The Cottage also has a speaker for playing your favourite tunes - connect via bluetooth.

Upstairs there are two A-frame bedrooms, lined with string lights. The Master bedroom has a Kingsdown Queen Mattress and the 2nd bedroom has a Serta Queen Mattress. They both have dressers to store clothing.

Upstairs has a full bathroom, which includes shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. Enjoy a lovely bubble bath with Epsom salts while the diffuser runs as you enjoy the sounds of nature out the window. We also have battery powered candles for added ambience.

There is also 1 open closet upstairs with hangers and extra room for luggage.

Outside, there is patio space, which will be set up in the Summer for outside dining & lounging.

We also have a washer and dryer in the Entryway with Seventh Generation laundry detergent, if needed.

After rainfall, you can hear the Oyster River roaring in the forest.

Then come back to your cozy cabin & soak in the ADULT ONLY Hot Tub.

The Breakers Resort is located directly on Saratoga beach between the Comox Valley and Campbell River BC on Vancouver Island. We are open year round. Cabin 6 is located directly on the beach with unobstructed ocean and mountain views. This is a family favorite with lots of room to enjoy inside and out. This renovated cabin offers a large covered sundeck with a fire pit in front, electric fireplace indoors, full kitchen and a bathroom with a tub and shower.
