Our only complaints are the stranded boat on the beach - it’s not safe for small children or dogs and just doesn’t look nice, there was also a stray nail on the deck I have to move. Also the main road is very close to the cottages so quite noisy and not great if you want to let your dog or children run free. Lastly, there was no warning about wild animals at night, they ate our food outside and if people leave their dog outside to sleep that wouldn’t be good at all ! "

- "I needed a quiet place to get some work done and this place was perfect. Even though it's close to the highway, there are trees to block its view so it was easy for me to ignore. I had my own private area with a fire pit and a BBQ to grill up some steaks. Inside, it felt so cozy with a full kitchen, living room area and a separate room for the bedroom. As soon as I stepped through the door, I took a deep breath and smiled.... And the bed was so comfortable that I ended up sleeping a little longer than I wanted but that was definitely OK with me. I obviously needed it. There was also lots of space out back for walks. I noticed various sporting areas and the complementary paddle boats and kayaks. I wasn't able to take advantage of this option but I may take another trip out that way so I can explore the lake. I have to say that I was totally impressed with the fact that they are so eco friendly. They even have solar panels set up. A storm hit the area, the power went out for 2 seconds or less and that was the end of it. No more power issues at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you. :)"

- "It was small and oddly arranged but cosy." - "Property was clean and nice and it is very close to port burwell which is a good attraction. The host was also nice to us. " - "The good: It's a great location if you plan to spend a night in Port Burwell. The fire pit was well stocked and was nice to sit around a fire in the evening. There were fresh towels and clean sheets. There was a large fridge freezer that you could put your stuff in, I was grateful for the ability to refreeze my freezer blocks for my cooler. The bad: The rooms have toilets and sinks, but no showers. To shower you have to use a communal bathroom. Not what I was expecting when booking a hotel room! There is no AC. I did find a window fan in a drawer but thankfully had received a welcome text from the property earlier in the day advising my room number (which was not the room I was given) and in the text it noted there was no AC so I picked up a fan at a shop on my way there. I hope business goes well for the property and they can invest in ac units for the summer. I would definitely not go here without ac in the summer. "
