- "This cabin provided a true escape. Swimming in the clear pond water was amazing. If you want peace and privacy then this spot is for you." - "I surprised my girlfriend for her 30th birthday by taking her here and man did it not disappoint. My girlfriend was in tears when we first arrived as the pictures are amazing, but seeing this place in person is a different story. The cabin is simply stunning with incredible architecture inside and out. There are so many designated areas to hang and we lived them all. From the swing, couches/ chairs on patio, upstairs bedroom patio, gazebo, and lit up fire pit, we really made this place our home for 3 nights! The outside environment is something next level. It is super peaceful and beautiful here and has some of best views and sounds of nature you’ll ever find so bring your camera (we saw turtles, a stork, and many birds). We went out for my girlfriends birthday to a nearby winery called the Roost and that was awesome so I highly recommend doing the blind wine tasting there (ask for Don). The cabin is very clean and equipped, but just make sure to bring extra pods for coffee, own spices, containers for food and parchment paper/ tinfoil and clear wrap. We also swam in the pond a few times which was super refreshing so bring your bathing suit if you want a quick dip. Can’t say enough about this getaway as it was super relaxing, romantic, beautiful, and exceeded our expectations. John is also an unreal host and helped us from start to finish making our stay super comfortable. Highly recommend this to any couple and we will be back someday! Shawn & Kate"

This beautiful slope side, chalet styled townhome, sits directly on Blue Mountain at the base of the Happy Valley ski run, providing ski in and ski out access to the ticket booths and lifts. The 1250 square foot multi-level unit offers spectacular views of the mountain from the living room. You can even catch a peak at the blue waters of Georgian Bay during the day and has great star gazing at night! The townhome has been fully renovated and kept in top condition. It is professionally cleaned after guests check out. The property is very private and usually quiet for this area, for those who want to enjoy the outdoors but be close to all amenities in the Blue Mountain Resort Village and surrounding towns.

Directly off the reserved parking lot, our unit is located on the second level of the Chateau Ridge condo complex. A convenient exterior private locker outside the front door is provided to store your outdoor gear.

The main floor is open concept with modern rustic decor throughout, features a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar for 2, and a dining room with seating for 6 - great for entertaining friends or enjoying a family dinner. The spacious living room has a cathedral ceiling and two-story bay window with an expansive view of the mountain. The living room offers a 55' LCD TV, free Bell Fibe wifi (300 mps down, 200 up). The comfy sofa and club chairs provide ample lounging space. The sofa has a queen size pull out bed and along with the window bench (single size mattress), 2 or more additional guests can be accommodated.

Up a flight of stairs you will find the large quiet guest bedroom with 2 double beds, vaulted ceiling, double-height window, and LCD TV. The guest bedroom has an adjoining bathroom furnished with shower. Up a second set of stairs leads to the master loft bedroom which overlooks the living room and has a view of the slopes through the living room cathedral windows. The master bedroom offers a queen bed, LCD TV and luxurious 3 piece ensuite bathroom. – great for relaxing after a day on the slopes or at the beach.

There’s no need to get into your car! A short 10-15 minute walk from the townhome will take you to the Blue Mountain Village which offers more than 25 restaurants, bars, shops, spa, and outdoor activities. Some of our favorite activities within walking/skiing distance include:

- "We had a great stay here in August. Everything was clean, the owner was very responsive and asked us how everything was going. The expectation, based on the post, matched what we experienced. Great location as we could walk 5 minutes to the village. We have stayed in the village before, but by stayed here it was great that our dog was included in this trip. We also loved the view of the mountain… if we were there in the winter, it would be soo convenient for skiing from the place, and watching others ski with this view! The two bedroom is great. Our baby had a separate room from us, so we could all sleep well. This would have been a comfortable space to share with other family members too, as there were 3 beds, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Just keep in mind the top bedroom is open to the living space, which is why it was perfect for just us. No one was staying up later and keeping others awake. We enjoyed this family stay! A lovely spot for a quiet “couple’s retreat” or a relaxing "girls' getaway". The main floor of this bright, comfortable house is the perfect base for your stay in "The County". It's on a quiet one-way street a block from Picton's downtown. (The well-appointed kitchen, central location and 7-day discount make it great for weekly stays.)

The apartment is ideal for 1 or 2 adults and spacious enough for another couple if you use the comfortable and private sofa bed. A nice space for a small dinner party if not for a more boisterous gathering. You can walk to the centre of town in five minutes and browse the shops, restaurants, art galleries, the Regent Theater and more. You’ll find the well designed, well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. After dinner, you can stream free movies and shows on Prime, Netflix or Roku (sorry - no satellite or cable). If you want to read, talk, play a game or just relax, the sitting room is the perfect place. The bathroom is spacious and pretty with good water pressure, a rain shower/deep tub and clean, line-dried towels. The bedroom is cozy with a very comfortable queen-sized bed and clean, cotton percale sheets (also line-dried). The sofa bed in the TV room is private and also comfortable if you have guests or friends staying. You'll be happy you booked with us and you'll be back!

THE GREAT OUTDOORS:

The spa (hot tub) is located just out the front door on the deck overlooking Lake Superior. Could there be a more perfect place for it? Well, NO! - "We had a great week in this private, immaculately clean cottage. Cottage had everything we needed. Thick woods on both sides of the property screen you from other cabins/houses. We enjoyed the hiking trails nearby, but mostly we can't say enough about the beautiful view of the lake. Lots of birds and wildlife - a cormorant came and perched on the dock one morning, and we saw baby merganzers, bald eagles, loons, and more. We ventured into the Thunder Bay area, about a 40 minute drive to Fort William, Kakabeka Falls, and grocery stores. Bakery on Boundary is a must-visit. Thanks for a relaxing week!"

Located just 30 minutes from Thunder Bay and a little over an hour from Grand Marais, Minnesota this cottage is the perfect base 'home' for you to explore from and return to each day. NOTE: Canadian guests please use HomeAway.ca for Canadian pricing.

Custom built with granite countertops, hardwood floors and leather furnishings, Highlander cottage, open year around, offers it's guests an arts and crafts style with a little post and beam thrown in. The inspiration for the one floor plus loft 1800 square foot layout was the panoramic view of Lake Superior...none other like it ! I designed the floor plan with an open living room/ kitchen concept incorporating a small cozy reading loft when you want to get away. The bedrooms are designed with privacy in mind. They are at opposite ends of the cottage and each has it's own bathroom with ample ceramic tile showers. For those bath aficionados the master has "ye ole" clawfoot tub.

The living room has a large gas fireplace to keep you warm and cozy while you look through all the windows to the lake. Off the living room is a large covered porch so rain or shine you can be outside enjoying the view while lounging on the patio furniture from Lazy Boy! The second side deck off the kitchen is convenient for grilling on the BBQ . This deck offers a great setting to dine with plenty of seating for a nice group gathering.

The kitchen is fully equipped for those of us who love to cook....and bake! If there is something missing I will make sure you have it! This is a working kitchen designed to minimize steps and enjoy the wonderful view while you are preparing.

The cottage is located in a very private setting. It is a large property offering a camp fire area up by the cottage and a nature trail down to the ledge rock edge of Lake Superior where you can sit and ponder life. With the Mink Mountains literally out your back door one can take the many hiking trails from easy to challenging. One of my favorites is the short walk to Picnic Point where a picnic lunch is a must! During the winter months these trails are wonderful for snow shoes. For those who like breaking trail... X country skiing is the best. Whether it be through the woods or on the lake when frozen over....a challenge is always waiting! Highlander Cottage is a silent sports persons dream destination any time of the year. Whether you are a reader, photographer, artist, writer, silent sports enthusiast, or a tourist that likes to be off the beaten path this is for you. Oh by the way the cottage DOES have WIFI so you will always be ...connected.

The cottage was very secluded and had all of the amenities that we needed for a relaxing time away from it all. We did a little bit of hiking on the nearby trails. Highly recommend the trail to Picnic point if you want a rock shelf spot to reflect and the Mink Mountain overlook trail (note there is elevation) for an awesome view. We were greeted each night by Cheekies, a red fox, who gets an egg for her cuteness. Without a doubt I would recommend this cottage and we will definitely be returning again!!
