Large indoor and outdoor entertaining areas for the whole big family or corporate use. Gather for meals in the formal dining room or large lakeside table beside the awesome kitchen or dine outside in the screened lanai and grill on the 72" BBQ. Guests will enjoy the ample water toys such as 10' slide, 20' trampoline, 20' lily pad, floating chairs, kayak, water skis, surf boards, wake boards all accessed from the 2 docks, one for the boats the other the swim dock which is one of the largest on the lake for swimming, sunning, lounging and entertaining. Enjoy the incredible 270 degree view of the lake from the firepit patio each night or from the bar. Go by short boat ride to Orillia for ice cream, groceries, lcbo, and many restaurants. Awesome waterfront trails are nearby for walking, biking, roller blading, running etc. This beautiful property has more amenities and is an hour closer to the GTA than Muskoka or Georgian Bay.

This is a cozy room tucked away in a far corner of a beautiful home. It's close to many stores and restaurants( Walmart, Food Basics, Costco, Boston Pizza and many others) It is 2 minutes away from Bass Lake and 10 minutes away from downtown. It is also 15 minutes from Casino Rama.

Also we have a toddler and a baby. Sophia is born in 2020 and Olivia born 2022 so it might not be as quiet as it used to be. Also for this reason we don't let people check in past 11pm as it is too late for us to wait and we don't want any noise during night time. We have a cat that in and out of the house.

My home is good for single people or couples. It has a great view of the forest and it is very close to the lake. Walmart, Food Basics, Costco and Bass Lake are 2 minutes away. Also Casino Rama is 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic. West Ridge Trail is behind the house if you would like to enjoy a little walk. The bathroom is not ensuite but you will be the only one using it.

The space
My home is has the best of both worlds. It is close to the city while enjoying the nature. It is great to stay on either of the covered porches. The one in the back makes you forget you are in the city.

The space
I think that it should be mentioned that not only we take cleaning and disinfecting the place very seriously, but also that each apartment is self contained and doesn't have any air exchange with the others. The heating is by modern hot water aluminum radiators separately for each apartment . The cooling is also by AC for each individual unit.

Petal P’s Place is a private 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment steps from Orillia’s vibrant downtown core and beautiful Couchiching Beach park. The apartment is a private space attached to a historic century home and therefore provides a central, yet quiet location. Short term rental greater than 28 days is the minimum stay. A unique and eclectic stay that will leave your soul sparkling, the main house was built in 1864!! It’s been rumoured to be the mayor’s former residence. The separate apartment is located in the addition built in 1977. Newly renovated, it is a comfortable and peaceful place with beautiful light filling the space. Guests have access to the primary bedroom, bathroom beside it, kitchen, living room, and the full backyard. No one else will be in the house but other bedrooms and the downstairs spaces are not to be used.

Fire pit: Bring your own fire wood for a campfire.

Bbq: we do our best to keep a propane tank filled but if you have to fill one during your stay please send us the receipt and we will reimburse you. You can fill it at the Canadian tire gas station on west street which is a short drive away,

Visitors: Only guests included in your booking are allowed on the property. If you'd like more than two people, consider our larger house listing.

City Bylaws: You’ll need to sign a short form per city rules. Please note, any fines to you or our property or issues due to your actions are your responsibility.

Garbage/Recycling: Please take your waste with you. There’s a nearby drop-off for a fee at 100 Kitchener St. Check business hours of operation.

Watercraft Waiver: All guests must sign a waiver for any watercraft use (season is may long weekend until thanksgiving weekend)

*This is one apartment in a 4 unit multiplex. There is two short term rentals on the main floor and two long term tenants upstairs who are wonderful! It’s a century home so walls are lath an plaster which is great for sound insulation. Although not perfect they do a pretty good job!*

The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the necessities for a home chef including: a quality pot & pan set, cooking sheets, Japanese knife set, cutting board, wooden spoons, spatulas, mixing bowls, cheese grater, garlic press, coffee press, tea pot, can opener etc! Small appliances include: toaster, drip coffee machine, microwave, Nespresso & kettle.

The living area has a dedicated dining area, entryway nook for your coats & shoes as well as the immersive cinematic 75” TV with separate sound system. The decor is filled with all the things that remind us of Orillia. It’s an area that draws you in and begs you to cozy up for hours!

The primary bedroom features a queen size bed with lots of pillows to cozy up with along with all the plugs you need to charge your devices. In this area you will also find the dedicated work area where you can focus and flow on your latest work project.

The bathroom is fitted with a walk in glass framed shower as well as complimentary shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. Inside the vanity, you will find some shower caps, & hair dryer for use during your stay.

High speed internet is provided as well as 1 parking spot dedicated specifically to this unit. TV is a smart TV with a roku which will allow you to control it with your phone during your stay.

There is a smart lock on the front door which you will receive a code to open prior to your stay. Parking is located at the back of the building in space #1.

Other things to note
There is a nest doorbell at the front door to assist in accessing the unit if you have any problems all you have to do is ring the bell and we can help you through the device. The camera will only be checked in the case of a guest request or safety precaution.

We have one, actively recording smart home ring doorbell camera overlooking the front porch area which records video and audio. This device is on the exterior of the property. There are also 4 CCTV security cameras, one on each exterior side of the building. These are not actively monitored.
