This cabin is located directly on the Bon Secour River, in Bon Secour near Foley. Alabama. It is a stilted cabin, which looks out over a bend in the river where birds and wildlife abound. You can fish from the cabin's own dock or bring your boat and explore the river, Bon Secour Bay, Mobile Bay, the intracoastal waterway, or even the Gulf of Mexico. It's also a great river for kayaking.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are just minutes away if you need to get away from the tranquility of the cabin. Beaches, golf courses, shopping, outlet malls, nightlife, you name it. Even the Casinos of Biloxi and Gulfport are less than two hours away.

You can even go over to Pensacola Florida and watch the Blue Angeles at the Naval Air Station, only 40 minutes away. At this Bon Secour cabin, you can do as much or as little as you like.

The cabin has a full kitchen, but if you hate to cook, The Galley Restaurant is literally steps away at the front gate. We have three smart TV's to log into your preferred service. Queen bed in the master, full size in the second bedroom. You can sit out on the porch overlooking the dock and river or go downstairs to enjoy the river from the porch swing, table and chairs plus a gas and charcoal grill. A boat ramp is located on site as well.

This stilted cabin is located directly on the Bon Secour River near Foley, Alabama. You can fish from the cabin's own dock or bring your boat and/or kayak and explore the river. There is a boat launch located within the gated community, but only small boats or kayaks can be launched from there. For launching larger boats, there are a couple of launches in the vicinity.

The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen including a Keurig coffee maker and living area with a flat screen TV. There is a queen size bed and flat screen TV in each bedroom. A charcoal grill and a table and chairs are located underneath the cabin for enjoying the outdoors. Also, there is a community pool located across the driveway from the cabin.

The sandy white beaches of Gulf Shores, Gulf Shores Sports Complex, Foley Sports Complex Tanger Outlet Mall, OWA, grocery stores, and restaurants are located within minutes of the cabin. We recommend the Galley restaurant that is located directly adjacent to the community.

Enjoy the private porch and a short walk down the street to the waters of Terry Cove. We are centrally located to activities, restaurants, fishing, and the public beach is 3-4 minute drive around Terry Cove. Next door at Hudson Marina they have pontoon boat rentals, charter fishing, jet ski rentals, sail boat cruises, dolphin cruises, a pirate ship tour, etc.

You will have one every day of the year here, and even when its cloudy somehow the most spectacular sunsets emerge! Looking to fish? Catch a mess right off the pier or head out the gulf. Clean them right out on the dock and then have fresh fish for supper. The pier puts you out over the water and gives you 360 degree water views you will never forget. Need a boat dock? We have one. Trailer parking? You can launch your boat 1 mile away and park your trailer here. Want privacy? You will feel like your alone at a State Park. The Cabin was built in early 1960's . We call it the Last Shack. There is Plenty of room with a Large screened in porch with additional sleeping. The kitchen, dinning and living are all open and have views of Weeks Bay. No frills but amazing views and beautiful nature. Weeks Bay is a Wildlife Preserve and our cabin is nestled among it. Do you enjoy bird watching? Dolphins at back door? Fishing from a pier? We have all that on the property. But then You have Short drive to quaint Fairhope with many shops and restaurants. The best spa in the area is at The Grand Hotel 15 minutes away. My favorite for seafood is just a five minute drive. But the best view...You are on it! Kayaks are offered free of charge, but we do charge for boat docking.

Don’t expect 5 star accommodations just like you wouldn’t at granny’s old house. But do expect clean beds, a nice tub, sunshine, seagulls laughing, crab traps, fishin lines and cold drinks. (Forgot how hard it is to be patient when waiting on crabs in a trap)Sometimes we put too much into the “finishes” of a place but forget about the simple pleasures of making memories over making over the paint on the soft close cabinets(none here so don’t expect it) We had the BEST (hottest ha) fresh crabs ever and will never forget laughing as our tears ran hot and tried not to touch it with our five alarm hot boiled seafood fingers!! A memory unlike any other VRBO."

One of the only cabins on the Eastern Shore, this adorable one-bedroom home on three acres of land offers the peace, quiet, and privacy of the woods with convenience to the beach! This is a prime location just minutes from Pirate's Cove, OWA, Tanger Outlets, and the Baldwin Beach Express. Visit charming downtown Elberta and bustling Foley, and enjoy being just a quick 20 minute drive to the beach!
This is a sweet wood cabin, with one bedroom and one bathroom, and a comfortable living space. The bedroom features a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, and a closet and dresser for clothing storage. The fully remodeled bathroom has a sink, stand-up shower, and toilet. There is a full-size stackable washer and dryer in the bathroom as well.
The living area features a large comfortable sectional sofa that has a pull-out queen bed. You'll find a Smart TV, where you can login to your preferred streaming services, along with board games and books for entertainment.
The kitchen comes equipped with a brand new Samsung full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stovetop and oven. You will find a countertop microwave and both a drip coffeepot and Keurig for your use, and a full complement of utensils, flatware, and cooking/baking supplies. You are welcome to use anything that is in the fridge or pantry during your stay. Cleaning supplies – including dish detergent and dishwasher pods – are provided under the kitchen sink. You will find spare paper towels in the laundry room.
For outdoor entertainment, you will find a wrap-around porch, with a gas grill and outdoor seating. There is also a fire pit on the other side of the parking area at the edge of the woods.

The space
The 'Last Cabin' sits next door to the 'Last Shack' on Weeks Bay. With both cabins, they are the very last cabins on Gavin Lane before the Magnolia River enters Weeks Bay and are completely surrounded by woods and the Weeks Bay National Estuary. Both can be rented together, if desired and available. 'The Last Cabin' is a renovated cabin with the original floor plan from when it was built in the 60's. Wood walls and wood flooring have been restored to new, in most rooms while others have been updated.
A Comfortable East porch welcomes you at the top of the stairs. Bird watch from this perch, overlooking a fern and tree grove.
An updated kitchen complete with granite countertops, updated appliances, large Old Timber Pine custom table which can sit ten people or more, and deep farm sink. Kitchen has a granite bar top opening into the den. Den has a sectional and swivel chair. Most seating areas in these areas have great views of the water.
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, and a private opening to porch.
Bedroom 2 has a king bed with a dedicated work space. Bedroom 3 has a full bed, a set of bunk beds and a trundle located under the bunk bed.
The den has a queen size pull out bed which can accommodate 2-3 people, depending on age and size. Although renovated, please note there is only one bathroom.
The Bay Front porch is 12' wide and runs the length of the cabin, making any day, especially rainy days, a fun way to enjoy this waterfront property.
The entire place is magical, but the greatest asset of this property is where it is located on the Weeks Bay National Estuary. If you enjoy the outdoors, whether it be fishing, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, crabbing, walking, biking, or birdwatching this is a place you do not want to miss. For the nature lover, you are connected to Fish River or to the Gulf of Mexico by water, and connected to Fairhope by bike trails.
The national estuary surrounds this property and it is not rare to see porpoises, eagles, Osprey or deer crossing the road. It is common to catch fish, crabs, and at night and during season, to hear the singing frogs, shrimp popping, or porpoises blowing.

The 'Last Cabin' is a private home, and the pier is shared with the 'Last Shack' located directly to the South.

Other things to note
Because Tidal Surges are not uncommon, please do not be alarmed but do keep your vehicles on the gravel drives. The yard area is of low elevation and can become saturated after wet weather. Assure that the boat dock and yard stay tidy. We are pet friendly, but please no pets on the couches. Be mindful that an alligator is not uncommon so keep an eye out for them and your pets. Cargo lift is usable.
