What do our guests say about us? Perfect! Amazing! Awesome! We will be back!
As you round the shoreline, the stretching waterfront landscape will catch your eye as you approach the parking lot directly in front of the lodge (Yes! There is ample space for a trailer!). You will use a keyless lock system to enter your cabin.
Open your door and you are already on the ground level of your new place! You will be instantly greeted with the aroma of pine which is visible in the tongue and groove walls and ceiling as well as an instant sight of north facing windows capturing a stunning view of the Portage Canal. What you will find on second look is a comfortable queen bed around the corner and many beautifully crafted pieces of cedar, Amish made furniture.
Traverse the stairs to the third floor and you will find an open lounge/entertainment area with two more queen bedrooms. This cabin accommodates six adults.
Each of our hand made, custom milled, northwoods cabins boast a three story duplex including a ground level, garden style unit and an upstairs double decker terrace style unit. The cabin size in total is 2,500 square feet! (550 and 1,950 square feet respectively). They all include full kitchens and washer/dryer units for your convenience and utility.
Walk out the back door onto your balcony and embrace the jaw dropping, sweeping beauty of the Keweenaw Waterway in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Whatever your needs may be: Visiting Michigan Tech, snowmobiling (the Bill Nichols trail is only .25 miles from the resort!), swimming at the beach, or skiing (Mont Ripley is less than 2 miles from the resort), we offer a comfortable, comprehensive resort experience for you.
Memories are in the making!

- "Amazing like new property. Would definitely stay again." - "Great place to go and relax. Cabin had everything we needed." - "Love this place" - "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the canal! Our accommodations were perfect, comfortable, and lots of space! Only downside (minimal) -wish we had the option to turn off the balcony’s outdoor lights…the canal and the night sky is SO beautiful, and it would’ve been nice to cut out some of the light pollution. Definitely will recommend to our friends and family!!"

- "Loved the unit. Quiet except for loud, heavy walking overhead and occasional loud talking, perhaps more insulation in floor/ceiling above would have helped this. Also the loan window in unit (in bedroom) didn’t lock, that’s a safety concern. Otherwise, very clean and well appointed unit." - "What a beautiful place. We loved the view, the decor and the comfort! It’s proximity to town, and the trails was just what we were looking for." - "Place was amazing! Peaceful and quiet, would highly recommend"

- "Brand spanking new, great price, awesome view of the canal. Already making reservations for this fall when we come back. Perfect for when we visit our daughter at MI Tech." - "We rented this place over a long weekend to move our son into Michigan Tech. The location couldn’t have been better. The waterway is just beautiful! Very close to everything - stores and the beach, trails etc too. Very convenient to Michigan Tech. You can’t get down to the water to fish right now though because of how steep the rocky hill is, but when their construction is complete that will probably change. We would stay here again! "
