- "Amazing like new property. Would definitely stay again." - "Great place to go and relax. Cabin had everything we needed." - "Love this place" - "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the canal! Our accommodations were perfect, comfortable, and lots of space! Only downside (minimal) -wish we had the option to turn off the balcony’s outdoor lights…the canal and the night sky is SO beautiful, and it would’ve been nice to cut out some of the light pollution. Definitely will recommend to our friends and family!!"

- "Loved the unit. Quiet except for loud, heavy walking overhead and occasional loud talking, perhaps more insulation in floor/ceiling above would have helped this. Also the loan window in unit (in bedroom) didn’t lock, that’s a safety concern. Otherwise, very clean and well appointed unit." - "What a beautiful place. We loved the view, the decor and the comfort! It’s proximity to town, and the trails was just what we were looking for." - "Place was amazing! Peaceful and quiet, would highly recommend"

Perfect for when we visit our daughter at MI Tech." - "We rented this place over a long weekend to move our son into Michigan Tech. The location couldn’t have been better. The waterway is just beautiful! Very close to everything - stores and the beach, trails etc too. Very convenient to Michigan Tech. You can’t get down to the water to fish right now though because of how steep the rocky hill is, but when their construction is complete that will probably change. We would stay here again! "

- "The cabin was very clean and inviting. Cleaner than most hotels. Easy rental and access. Communication through text and code was given right after registration. It’s set up almost like hotel registration without having to wait to get your key card. Everything worked as it should the view is beautiful. The patio is large and secure -you’re right on the waterway. The bed was firm the pull out was decent for a pullout and was more comfortable to watch tv on than the couch. Water had good pressure and stayed hot. There are enough plates bowls and coffee cups for four in the one bedroom. Glasses and silverware is plentiful. No griddle if you want an easier way to make breakfast but pots pans baking sheets and bowls provided. Plenty of empty cupboards for your food. They even have a dog blanket and bowls available for use. For those with dogs finding a place for them to go potty would be a challenge right now. The cabins are close to a busy road and the property is still under construction. There is some grass in front of the cabins but you can’t access it from the patio. Understandable for safety reasons. I see there are plans for a dog yard in the future and a campground which I’m excited about. The one bedroom is perfect for couples our daughter attends MTU and she stayed one night with us there was still room to walk around the cabin with the couch pulled out way more comfortable than a hotel room. Very cozy nice setup with amazing views -would stay again."

- "We returned this year after a great stay in 2023. The unit was perfect for us and our doggo loved the patio. The unit was so clean and perfectly appointed. We loved the view and proximity to town." - "We were looking for a nice place to wrap up a camping trip to Porcupine State Park before making our trip back home. The cabins were amazing and were perfect for us to relax and enjoy the 4th of July before heading back home. Thanks!" - "Overall good as we just needed a place to stay for a campus visit. The only issue was the people above us were really loud the second night. I think they were doing just dance until 2:30 am."

Guest Reviews:

- "Very clean and accommodating" - "Plenty of room for everybody. Beautiful view of the water. All amenities were newer and nice. " - "I would like to explain my 3 star rating. If it is solely on the view, it would be 5 star. While it was clean, the refrigerator was not up to the standard of myself and my friends. The one bedroom with two double beds could have easily been made into two rooms. The beds and pillows were the worse I have ever encountered. My hip was still sore three days after we left. Each bed should have 4 pillows that are full and fluffy. The sauna could have easily been put on the porch instead of in the kitchen. You could have built an extra bathroom. The amount of cookware needs to be increased And to prove how bad the beds were, a guest went out and bought a mattress pad. Note to management: when you market a high end property, you need to have a very comfy able bed and pillows. Guests expect it"

There is a shower (no tub), washer/dryer, and multiple beds on two levels of the house. There is a shed for your gear, and a dock in the summer. The yard is spacious and private. In the winter, once the bay freezes over, you'll have access to ice fishing and snowmobiling. Please let us know if you need to use a tent or other supplies for ice fishing. We are happy to lend you what we have.

Some Airbnbs in the area are not owned and maintained by local people, but our cabin has been in our family since it was built in the 1980s. We live less than 20 minutes away, and our cleaner is a close family friend who is also local to the area. We do our very best to use local businesses for our needs, and we are happy to recommend local artists and businesses for dining, souvenirs, etc.

Waterfront, dock (summer), large yard, canoe, kayaks, stand up paddleboard, sauna, ice fishing gear (if requested).

Other things to note

In my 39 years of living in the UP, I have never encountered an animal I felt threatened by in the area, but please let me know if you have any concerns. I am happy to answer more specific questions.

We make every effort to provide items we think will enhance your stay, but if you feel we should have other items available, just let me know! We all have different needs, so I am happy to supply items if guests would like them.

Also, I'm a photographer, and I'd be happy to offer a discounted session during your time at our cabin.

I hope you feel confident that you are choosing an amazing place to stay when booking our cabin. The vast majority of our guests are very happy with their stay, and we provide so many tips for the local area to our guests to make their trips unique and memorable. The space
This cottage was originally a one-room schoolhouse that was moved from a nearby mine. A bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen were then added on, along with a log front porch (covered), which offers a magnificent view of Eagle Harbor. There is one bedroom with a queen bed. This cottage has a FULL kitchen and a living room area. The best view of the water is from this cozy cottage!

A message from the owners:

As a child, I spent my summers enjoying the relaxed lifestyle the small community of Eagle Harbor offered. As an adult, I brought my family up to enjoy the community as often as I could. I am so excited to be able to share a piece of that with others.
Our 3 cottages were part of the original Lake Breeze Resort in Eagle Harbor. Built in the 1920’s, this resort had 15 cottages that sat on “The Hill” overlooking the harbor. As time went on, some of the cottages were sold, and we now find ourselves lucky enough to own three.
