" - "We atayed here for three nights and everything was great. The cabin was clean and large for two bedrooms. It had a lot of plates, pots, pans, a charcoal grill, a propane grill and a firepit. The internet was decent (able to watch netflix on TV without issues and had wifi for the phone), although we spent more time around the firepit. The location is admittedly remote, which is part of the point of booking a cabin or campsite in this area. There are a couple of restaurants, a grocery store, etc in Thorp, about 15 miles north. However we cooked most of our meals on the grills provided. The man-made lake/pond next to the cabin is small, but still fun (for a small raft for the kids or catch and release fishing off the pier). The resort is located between two lakes (Mead Lake, 5 miles away, and Rock Damn Lake, 10 miles) that have larger beaches and fishing areas. We went to both, and I would recommend Rock Damn."

Rock dam is our favorite place ." - "Pictures do not do the cabin justice! We loved the kitchen island and when in doors spent most of our time there. Our stay was during the week, so the lake was quiet and peaceful. It was getting quite busy by the time we left on Saturday (4th of July weekend), but this gave us a chance to meet the neighbors, and everyone was most pleasant. After reading some of the other reviews I will add our thoughts: 1) the MINIMAL cleaning that is requested is simply picking up after yourself...something we all should do anyway. 2) the cleaning fee...please consider this cost may be to help cover the cost of all the "little items" that are provided...toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, propane, etc. Ernie was most responsive any time we needed to reach out and the cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. When they say all that is needed is your food and clothing they are not kidding. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our entire experience and are already thinking of a winter get-a-way at the cabin!"

- "This is such a beautiful property. The accommodations are like new. The access to the lake is a very well maintained 55 steps away. There are rafts and kayaks to use along with a floating dock to relax on. Checking in was a dream. There is a code on the door that is sent to you the day you check in. There is a tv in the living room with complimentary Appletv and board games to enjoy. There is also a little patio with a fire pit where we roasted marshmallows with provided roasting sticks hanging on a nearby tree. In walking distance, there is a local, friendly bar and a few steps further a beautiful supper club with excellent food. You are also just a few driving minutes away from great breweries, restaurants, ice cream parlors and shopping. We didn't see our host or hostess which was absolutely ok because if you need anything just shoot them a message and they get right back to you. We will definitely keep this in mind for future getaways. Already talking about bring our adult children back with us some day. This place sleeps 8 very comfortably. - "Sherry was a great hostess and the Lone Birch cabin was very peaceful and quiet, which was welcome after a day at a loud music festival. The cabin was cozy and it was fun to go out on the lake with the tandem kayak. We must not of read the description closely and came with food to prepare several meals. We were able to pivot and use the fire pit or microwave for cooking instead. It was wonderful to wake up to a chorus of birds or sit next to the fire in the evening and watch the sun set in the distance. Highly recommended!"

We really appreciated that there were privacy fences between the cabins. And the fact that it was very handy if you wanted to fish. The guy next to us seemed to be having a great time fishing! Kayak season is here! Very Clean and Unique place to take the family on vacation or a group of friends (large group rates and accomodations available) We are located in Cornell, Wisconsin. Visit Brunet State Park for some paddling around the islands, less than a mile from cabin. Or kayak the Chippewa River....portage across the road. We have some of the best waters around. Old Abe biking trail runs from Cornell to Lake Hallie (about 40 miles of paved trail) is less than 1/4 mile from cabin for enthusiast bikers and for the hikers, the Ice Age Trail passes in front of the cabin on CC road. We are across the blue bridge on outskirt of town which has plenty of places to eat, within 1 mile radius. And if you love history, stop in to the visitor center located across the blue bridge, in Mill Yard Park. Great place to unplug and enjoy the outdoors again. The area offers seasonal outdoor recreation......fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing.
We have added a gas grill and also have a wood fire pit and propane fire pit on the covered deck.

- "The listing is 100% accurate and everything was exactly as expected. Clean, comfortable, relaxing and having the kayaks was a great perk! The ONLY thing (if I had to find something) that wasn’t perfect was the TV in the bedroom wouldn’t work, but with sunshine & so much else to do it didn’t really matter. They even had ice and 4 frosty mugs in the freezer!! I never had a need to reach out to the property manager. I look forward to coming again in the future."

- "The windy tree-lined road leading out to the cabin got us so excited! You'll want to make sure you have front wheel drive, the quarter mile path to the cabin has a couple steep turns! We pulled up on a quaint little cabin with a beautiful patio looking out to the pond. We enjoyed quiet nights under the stars around the fire. The S'Mores kit was so cute and definitely got used! Plenty of firewood. They had several camping chairs and a grill for us to use. The place was clean and cozy. Plenty of pillows and blankets. The bed we slept in was a little firm but we still slept well. A fan for each room was nice. There were clean towels and washcloths and essential soap/shampoo/conditioner. No condiments (salt & pep) but all the pots, pans, ice tray dishware, and cutlery you should need. Coffee pot/keurig and coffee was much appreciated. They even had koozies which always come in handy! There weren't any cards, dice, or games which would've been a nice touch. The owners took the initiative to install an AC unit as we were seeing high 90's during our stay that was so kind and much appreciated to have an escape from the heat. The owners were kind, helpful and easy to communicate with but also left us to our privacy and seclusion. The hiking trails were nicely mowed and mapped out. We had a lovely time and would 100% stay here again. This is probably our favorite Air B&B/VRBO experience we've ever had due to its unique quaint setting."

Two bedroom lakeside cabin, just 3 miles east of Chippewa Falls at the Hideaway Resort, one of 6 cabins (10 miles from Eau Claire) with easy self check in, close to Hwy 29, Hwy 53 and I-94. Grocery store/liquor store, gas, fishing tackle, boat launch all conveniently located within one mile.

This 740 square foot cabin, built in 1956, features beautiful views of Lake Wissota, just 30 feet away, looking east with low elevation access to the lake. The interior consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a queen sized bed in each bedroom and full size fold out futon, cable TV/DVD player, wireless internet, AC, on site laundry and bed linens/towels furnished.

Outdoor features include a patio, picnic table, lawn chairs, charcoal grill and campfire ring. (Firewood furnished for a nominal fee).

There is plenty to do in the area including: Leinenkugel Brewery, Irvine Park, Cook Rutledge Mansion, Cabin Ridge Rides, Autumn Harvest Winery, River Bend Winery, Heyde Center for the Arts.... just to name a few!

For the winter enthusiast the Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire area offers an array of activities including: ice fishing, snowmobiling, horse drawn sleigh/wagon rides, ice skating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and tubing...

- "Very clean and well kept cabin. The manager was prompt and easy to deal with. Overall, a very seamless stay. Highly recommend." - "Pleasantly surprised with how big and comfy 740 square feet was. The house was clean and cozy snd perfect! Everything that you would need to stay was there. Linens, kitchen utensils, coffee filters, batteries, dvd’s, cards and board games. This hideaway cabin was not only perfect but was exactly what my husband and i needed for our quick weekend getaway. Despite the snow and ice the view was beautiful. We did some ice fishing and some snowshoeing. The owners made the cutest ice skating rink right outside our cabin. This literally is the perfect hideaway. Rhonda was amazing and so nice, made us feel like family."

The beautiful shoreline is perfect for the kids to play in (it is less than 3 feet deep at the end of the dock) while you enjoy the sun while sitting on the large yard overlooking the lake. Float with the kids on the giant water mat and take the kayaks or the paddle boat on a sunset adventure. Bring your boat, tie it to the dock and enjoy fishing and water sports all day long. This completely renovated 1200 sq. ft. plus loft space, lake cabin has everything inside and out for the perfect lake vacation any time of year.

The home features 1 bedroom, with a large loft that has 1 queen, 1 full, 1 futon, 1 full bath, 1 family rooms with another futon, open concept kitchen, large front yard, large patio, grill, fire pit, dock, and large, private shoreline. The kitchen is nicely equipped for all your cooking needs. Plenty to do inside: internet, TV, board games, movies. The home is furnished with everything you need, just bring your fishing poles! Oh, wait we have them too, if you forget yours!

Lake Wissota is conveniently located just an hour and a half east of the Twin Cities. The home is within walking distance of a public beach and three restaurants. If you fish, this is the place for you. The lake has musky, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish. It's a quiet lake during the week and an active one on the weekends. There are 5 waterfront restaurants/bars on the lake that you can boat right up to. If you want a day off the lake, take a tour of the historic Leinenkugel Brewery or visit Irvine Park Zoo. Both are just 10 minutes from the lake. Don't forget your golf clubs and bike. There is a public golf course on the lake and the area features great bike trails. This is also the perfect winter get-a-way for winter sports lovers: great ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and cross-country skiing!
