However we cooked most of our meals on the grills provided. The man-made lake/pond next to the cabin is small, but still fun (for a small raft for the kids or catch and release fishing off the pier). The resort is located between two lakes (Mead Lake, 5 miles away, and Rock Damn Lake, 10 miles) that have larger beaches and fishing areas. We went to both, and I would recommend Rock Damn."

Every interaction with the owners was very friendly and helpful. Grills look nice but could use a little TLC. Making sure they have a full tank and that they are working. Between two nearby we couldn't get them going. They had extra propane tanks but by the time we realized we were too hungry and cooked inside instead. One was empty, the other wouldn't stay lit. Welcome to Birch Cove Cabin!

This beautiful four-season cabin features a gas fireplace (Heat n' Glo), lofted bedroom with king-sized bed, walk-out lower level family room, screened porch and elevated deck overlooking the 27 acre lake. On the main floor: full bath, living room, dining area and kitchen.

Located at the end of the road, you are surrounded by 10 acres of wooded property on this peaceful lake, with over 400 feet of shoreline. With westward facing lakefront views, there is an amazing view all year!

- Refreshed outdoor furniture for the screen porch, west (sunset) deck.
- The dock is closed for the 2025 season, with a new dock arriving for 2026! This may limit fishing and kayak options. We apologize while we make some improvements for safety and convenience.

Six guests can be accommodated by the king bed (loft) and two pull-out queen sofa sleepers: one each in the living room and family room (which doubles as a bedroom). And these aren't your grandparents' pull-out beds! From Room & Board, both sofa sleepers have premium, high-resiliency foam mattress with a quilted cotton cover for superior comfort with no bars or springs.

For extra guests (up to eight guests total) there is ample room to utilize the inflatable queen mattress in the loft or in the family room. There is one full bathroom on the main floor, and a 3/4 bath off the family room, along with full laundry facilities and room for equipment/luggage storage.

The kitchen is well-stocked and supplied with pots, pans, cooking utensils, toaster, microwave, service for eight (both indoor and outdoor dishes for an impromptu picnic), and plenty of mugs, wine glasses, beer glasses and tumblers for your beverages.

The deck and enclosed porch are furnished with seating for 6-8, along with a propane grill. There is a fire pit and stacked firewood between the cabin and the lake shore, and the area has been carefully cleared to maximize the view of the lake while maintaining the privacy and natural beauty that attracted us to the area. Landscaping efforts are yet underway!

Take a walk along the moss-covered path in the summer, through the leaves of the oak, serviceberry and birch trees in all their autumn glory, along the snow-covered woods in winter, and in the spring, over the emerging flora of the Northwoods. Listen for bullfrogs, songbirds, owls and loons. Watch for wildlife: Sightings of bear, deer, beavers, swans, owls, and turkeys aren’t unusual. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this private lake from the deck, hammock, lawn or dock.

Your Wisconsin retreat is 10 miles from downtown Hayward, WI and 5.8 miles from Springbrook center.

Winter advisory (December-April, when there is snow): we recommend that you have front wheel or all wheel drive, as Wolf Lane can get icy. While it is not imperative, it may he helpful. Our plow service is excellent (plowed with 4" or more of snow), and sanding is available if there is significant ice.

We made a few adjustments to address Covid-19 concerns during the pandemic, which we continue to maintain:
- We continue to thoroughly clean between guests, using approved products
- We pay special attention to high-touch areas such as door knobs, handles, and light switches, among others.
- We ask guests to check-in after 4:00 in order to more thoroughly clean between guests.
- We have added additional hand sanitizing products and virucidal wipes for guest use in the cabin.
- We have recently installed a washer and new dishwasher to ensure that linens, dishes, utensils and other "shared items" are appropriately cleaned and sanitized between guests.

A must do is to take the ferry and explore Madeline Island… of course.. you may just want to stay at the St. Croix and embrace the sounds & pace of the Big Lake! Nordic modern cabin on beautiful Silverthorn Lake in Seeley, located between Hayward and Cable. Towering pine trees shade a level grass and pine needle covered lot on clear spring-fed Silverthorn Lake. The lake is a quiet-sports lake and is perfect for swimming and paddling.

The cabin provides 550 square feet of newly renovated, well-designed open space offering luxury and comfort in a wilderness setting. Vaulted ceilings and large windows make the cabin feel much bigger than its footprint and a 10’X12’ deck with a view of the lake provides a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. A large private dock and a fire pit with sitting area offer a great place to hang-out and listen to the loons.

The Seeley area is a quiet sports mecca for mountain bikers, fat bikers, XC skiers, snowshoers, hikers, paddlers, fisherman and other outdoor sports enthusiasts. The famous Birkebeiner ski trails and CAMBA mountain bike trails are only a couple of miles away from the cabin and offer world class terrain that is meticulously mapped and maintained. There is indoor storage for bikes, canoes and other sports equipment with both a garage and a barn on the property.

Birkebeiner XC Ski Trails
The 100+ kilometer Birkie trail system attracts skiers, runners, bikers, trekkers, and hikers, from beginners to elite athletes. There is typically xc skiing from December into March. Skiing on the Birkie trails requires a pass from December through March, use of the trail April through November does not require a pass.

CAMBA Mountain Bike Trails and Winter Fat Bike Trails
The CAMBA off-road mountain bike trail system consists of over 300 miles of marked and mapped trails. The CAMBA system has become recognized as the Singletrack Capital of the Midwest, with the most extensive system of interconnected singletrack east of the Mississippi. In addition, there are over 50 miles of CAMBA mountain bike trails groomed for winter fat biking.

Silverthorn Lake & Park
Easily walk or paddle to Silverthorn Lake Park located a half mile from the cabin and enjoy Silverthorn Lake’s sandy beach and clean, clear water. The park is a favorite spot for families to bring small children to swim and play. There is a large open air pavilion, playground equipment, picnic areas, pickleball courts, basketball court and sand volleyball courts. Silverthorn Lake is a “quiet lake” with no motorized activity allowed.

Namekagon River
Only a block away from the cabin is the famous Namekagon River, part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. The Namekagon River is a great place to paddle or cast a fly to wild trout.

The Hayward Lakes Area boasts an old-fashioned, friendly small-town atmosphere while offering the finest amenities to make it a four-season vacation destination. Beautiful, beautiful cabin. Nested in the middle of the Porcupine Valley, this cabin is a place for you to find rest and relaxation. Sitting on the front porch and listening to the birds is probably the best part of the cabin. Attractive flower beds, large yard, spacious interior, pond, and creek. Back porch, front porch, and upper balcony. Great for a family getaway or a low-key long weekend away from the city.

Other things to note
Our cottage is in the country, and there are bugs in the country. A few mosquitos in the summer (less than typical for Wisconsin), Asian beetles, and the occasional mouse year-round.

The creek and pond are nice to look at, but are not good for swimming/wading. There is a canoe available to paddle around the pond.

We offer air conditioning units during the summer time to help keep the temperature of the cabin comfortable for guests. These are removed in the winter, so that there aren't any drafts in the cabin. when temperatures are on average below 50°.

On 1,600+ acre Presque Isle chain of 3 lakes. Western exposure directly on the water, great for sunsets and prevailing winds. Relax with your special someone at this cozy, peaceful log cabin - Birches at Alpine Resort. Swimming, boating, fishing on over 1200 ft of private frontage and 30 private acres. Playground, Boats - free or rent. Legendary biking and hiking abound in area. Restaurants nearby. Duplex unit. Other 1, 2,3, and 4 bedroom cabins also available.

The space
Pristine lakes, abundant wooded areas, prime fishing, swimming, legendary bike trails, and lots of local attractions. Free use of non-motorized boats. Rental boats available with advance reservation for an additional fee. We supply bed linens, septic safe toilet paper, dish soap, coffee filters and garbage bags. You must bring bathroom towels and beach towels. A suggested packing list is available upon request or by calling the resort. The cabin is part of Alpine Resort in Presque Isle, Wisconsin and shares all of the common areas. There are 3 kayaks, a standup paddleboard, 2 paddleboats and a canoe free of charge to use. The front yard area has a playground, campfire area, and an excellent swimming area with swim raft, all with a western exposure on the main lake, not in a weedy bay! The front yard has multiple chairs and outdoor furniture for everyone to use. All cabins are non-smoking and pets are not allowed. The fully-stocked kitchen comes complete with appliances. This cottage is directly across a county road from beautiful Park Lake in Pardeeville, WI. The cottage is not on the water, but just across the road from the lake shore for fishing, boating, or the provided kayaks. The open floor plan sleeps four comfortably. 2 kayaks, a charcoal grill and gas fire pit available for your pleasure. You may even see an Amish buggy coming down the road, or one of the many Bald Eagles that call Park Lake Home. The sunsets are amazing memories you will keep forever.

The space
Sunset Cabin is a cozy little lakeview cottage that has one bedroom with a full sized bed, and one "Den" with a convertible mattress that turns into a King sized bed. The den has a privacy curtain but not a traditional door.

The bathroom has a standup shower.

The kitchen features a gas stove, microwave and 3/4 sized refrigerator.

We're a small, family-run cabin, and I truly love hosting. We live next door—nearby if needed, but your stay is all your own.

The space
Deer Trail Cabin is a cozy and charming retreat featuring one bedroom, one bathroom, a comfortable living area, dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen. The living area includes a futon couch that can accommodate 1–2 additional guests, making it perfect for small families or close friends.

Guests are welcome to explore all 9 acres of the property, including peaceful walking trails. Outside, you’ll find a deck, patio, firepit, hammock, seating area, and a bean bag toss game and a hottub coming soon—all for your enjoyment. There are also unmarked disc golf baskets for the disc golf lover!

Our family truly loves this property and spends a lot of time outdoors, so you may see us out and about during your stay. The acreage is a shared space, and we’re always happy to offer a wave or a helping hand if needed.

Jimmys Lakeview Vacation Rental cabin is located across from Duck Lake (part of the Eagle River Chain of Lakes) and offers a great place to stay for your Eagle River vacation. Cabin is only 2 miles from downtown Eagle River and within walking distance to Sweetwater Bar and Grill and Kickback Grill. There are two public boat landings and Eagle Lake Park within 1.5 miles and is also located on the snowmobile and atv/ utv trail.

This is a 100 year old cabin completely renovated. Complete with all new appliances and furniture including smart TVs and free WiFi.

Nature abounds with deer, turkeys, eagles, bears and much more!

The space
Our family cabin is a little piece of northwoods paradise. Whippoorwill Valley Cabin is the perfect mix of Northwoods charm, rustic and cozy yet filled with modern day essentials. You can sit and enjoy the sounds of the whippoorwills, loons, turkeys and all that nature provides. The cabin is situated right on the waters of the Johnson Falls Flowage, which is perfect for paddling and fishing. Or a short 2 minute drive will get you to where all the fun and action is on High Falls Flowage. There is easy and direct access to ATV and Snowmobile trails. You will find plenty of restaurants and supper clubs are near by for dining. There are lots of County Parks, State Parks and National Forests near by for hiking and enjoying, Check out the Marinette County Waterfall Tour for some beautiful falls! The town of Crivitz is a short 10 minute drive away where there are shops, winery, antiques and more.
You will find our cabin stocked completely with all cooking amenities, towels and linens. Just bring your food and clothes!

This is our personal family owned cabin that we enjoy sharing with guests. We do not entertain bachelor/bachelorette parties or similar type activities.

Guest access
Kayaks will be made available from Memorial Day weekend until October. Pontoon boat and watercraft rentals are available through Popps Resort.

Firewood will be supplied and provided for you to use.

Other things to note
The cabin is spacious enough for everyone to get together and have fun. Sit in the sunroom and enjoy the quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped featuring a gas stove, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The living room has a pull out queen sofa sleeper and the love seat has a single pull out sleeper.
The deck has a wonderful view overlooking the valley and water. Or enjoy one of the many areas to kick back and relax by the fire pit. You won't be disappointed in the view!
