Our cabins provide the perfect location to enjoy the beauty of spring, summer and fall. The beautiful, romantic cabins overlook the historic Wabash River.

INCLUDED IN YOUR STAY: hiking, fishing (with walk in-cooler and fish cleaning station), canoeing, kayaking, and biking with all equipment provided! Use of the Archery range with 3-D targets and elevated deer stands, an eagle watch tower to view the nesting bald eagles, a golf driving cage, irons and balls provided, corn hole, horseshoes and a volleyball court. Portabella Cabin (listing 4590202): On entering the Portabella Cabin, you look around and realize this is a large cabin and features a living room with a fire place, dining area, full kitchen, full bathroom with tub/shower combination, a master bedroom with queen bed, bunk beds, futon and a loft bedroom with 2 beds. Shitake Cabin(listed here): This is our most romantic cabin, featuring an enclosed hot tub, huge 2 level deck that leads directly to the rivers edge, a bedroom with queen sized bed and a view of the Wabash River from every window, a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, living room with queen size hide-a-bed couch. At the river edge is a romantic area with a fire pit.

Primitive camping is also available with fresh water nearby. Proprietor Ed Dawson is an Eagle Scout and the property is Scout friendly for camping events and activities.

Our log cabin was completed in July of 2010 on 7.5 acres we fell in love with the first time we saw the property in March of 2009. Call 812-726-4849, check out our website turkeyhillcabinrentals. This part of southern Indiana is so unique. The view reminds us of our many trips to eastern TN. We never get tired of seeing wild turkeys and white-tailed deer walking across the front yard. This cabin has the best view of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline, inside and outside. This delightfully open cabin with two bedrooms and a perfect view of Porter Beach and Lake Michigan is nestled in the Indiana Dunes and just 53 steps away from magnificent Lake Michigan. The only thing between you and the lake is 53 stairs and a lovely sand beach. There is sleeping for 4 currently but the couch can be used to sleep 2 more people, all 3 beds are queen size. Our historic log cabin is a comfortable, cozy home that was restored from its 1836 beginning. This cabin is perfect for a weekend (or week) of relaxing with family or friends.
Outside there is a grill for summer evenings spent on the wrap around porch. The sound of the wind through the nearby pine trees is a special country sound you don't get everywhere. Several yard games and a hammock along with plenty of lawn chairs are also on the porch. Off the porch is a huge 8 person hot tub with lights and jets for exceptional relaxation.
Another special outdoor experience (if you're lucky) is the sound of rain on the unique standing seam metal roof. It creates a cozy, happy atmosphere.
On the main floor we have an open concept kitchen with all the expected amenities like full size fridge with ice maker and stove and dishwasher as well as garbage disposal and French Press coffee maker. Adjacent to the kitchen dining room is a living room with comfortable seating around a 55" smart TV. DVD player is available if needed.

This is a great cabin for 2 to 9 guest. Location is excellent minutes to Patoka Marina , winery and restaurants. 25 minutes to French Lick and casino, as well as other restaurants. We have a Hot Springs hot tub that holds 6 maybe even 7 comfortably on the back screened in deck. There is a queen in master and a sofa sleeper on main level. In the loft there are 5 twins, 2 are trundles that can be lifted to make 2 doubles if you have couples. So the sleeping option are up to you. We have a nice little round drive for extra parking and possible boat... We are nestled in a wooded lot with distance from neighbors for your privacy. We have a firepit on the side of cabin . There is a full bath on main level as well as a washer dryer and a half bath in loft to make it easier for a bigger groups. Kitchen is well stocked coffee maker ,toaster ,blender, dishes pots, pans, cookie sheet etc. Also provide coffee and filters.. Usually have creamer as well..Patoka marina is 5 to 7 minutes away and we have a park pass for guest. This is a gem in a very relaxing spot to get away and sit back and enjoy the nature all around or hit the Lake . French Lick Casino is just a short drive. Snow birds can enjoy Paoli Peaks 35 or so minutes away. Hoosier hills is 15 minutes away for hikers. Patoka winery is 2 minutes away as well as Bennys off the water. Patoka is truely a beautiful place to come relax for the weekend or even longer if you have the time !!!!

Shitake Cabin(listing 251304): This is our most romantic cabin, featuring an enclosed hot tub, huge 2 level deck that leads directly to the rivers edge, a bedroom with queen sized bed and a view of the Wabash River from every window, a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, living room with queen size hide-a-bed couch. At the river edge is a romantic area with a fire pit.

Hidden Oaks is fully furnished and stocked with everything you will need for your dream southern Indiana escape. Our cabin is nestled in Grant Woods, a mature wooded log home community. "Hidden Oaks" is on the far outer reaches of this small community and has over 150 undeveloped acres that border our back door. Can you say peaceful!!!

Whether it is a trip to the beach at Patoka Lake State Park (2.5 miles to the main entrance from the cabin), a spelunking adventure to any one of southern Indiana's magnificent caves (30ish minutes), a trip to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana (35 minutes away), a trip to Paoli Peaks to ski in the winter (30 minutes away), or a trip to French Lick or West Baden where you can experience world class casinos, golfing, indoor water park, go carting, a train ride through Hoosier National Forest and so much more. Or perhaps you would like to unwind at Patoka Lake Winery (2.2 miles from the cabin's front door). We might add that Patoka Lake Winery has the largest wine slushy bar around! We highly recommend! You might also enjoy dinner at Benny's or any one of the local brews at Patoka Lake Brewing (2.2 miles from front door). The opportunities are endless.

Our cabin features 2 decks. Our front deck has just the right furniture to help you unwind and enjoy this beautiful area or start your morning with coffee listening to the birds. Our back deck is furnished so you might enjoy your breakfast or dinner at our picnic table. The back deck is fully screened in to keep all of the flying pests away. Or perhaps you would like to unwind next to your very own bonfire. We have a bonfire area that is furnished with 6 Adirondack chairs. We ask that you bring your own firewood. Please note, one of our neighbors sells firewood for a VERY reasonable price at the entrance to our log home community.

Our cabin features hand made log furniture that is out of this world. From your dining experience to your bedroom furniture, you will experience only the best in our home. Our down stairs bedroom features a king sized bed. Our upstairs bedroom has a queen. We have 2 full baths. Our spacious loft holds a queen log futon, a twin long trundle day bed and a twin log chair that makes into a bed for your extra family members. We can sleep 8!

Our kitchen is well stocked with cookware for any meal. We have a large spice section to share and our refrigerator has basic condiments as well. We offer a full size (brand new) washer and dryer.

Fully furnished cabin with a full kitchen, laundry room, 2 full baths, 2 bedrooms with queen beds and satellite TV's, an open loft with 2 queen beds, ping pong table, and laundry room. Located 5 miles from French Lick where you can enjoy shopping, the casino, train museum, water park or winery to name a few. Enjoy Patoka lake in the Summer and Paoli peaks for some skiing in the Winter.

A few things to note - given the remote nature of this property, there is not currently internet in the area. We are on the waitlist for Starlink and hope to have it soon. Cell service can be spotty in the cabin but I usually have 1-2 bars that is good enough for texts and calls. Other phone usage can be limited. There is one large hill on the gravel county road leading back to the cabin. I take my Ford Fusion Hybrid back there all the time so access isn’t an issue outside of heavy snow conditions (4x4 recommended then) but want guests to be aware of the terrain.

If its an action packed, family fun vacation you seek, we've thought of that too. Cabin Fever Log Cabin has something for everyone. On the main level of this luxurious hideaway you will find a fully equipped, modernized kitchen with a bar, dining area, exposed log walls and hardwood floors, giving its guests the true log cabin experience with all the comforts of home. In the living room there are two leather sofas, a wood stove, a 43" smart television with netflix and internet access, plus antenna for some some local channels and a DVD player. Our guests have access to a wide selection of DVD's. Can you think of a better way to watch a movie with someone special on a chilly evening? Don't forget your favorite snacks! Cuddle up on the comfy sofas in front of the wood stove and read a good book, share some good conversations with a loved one, or just take a nap---you are on vacation after all! Upstairs you will find the open master bedroom suite, offering a 32" smart tv/dvd, queen sized bed with beautiful hand-quilted bedding and an oversized reading chair in the sitting area, an ideal spot for reflecting and resting after a hard day at play. The front porch, overlooking the woods, has a hot tub. There is nothing better than a midnight dip and relaxing under the stars with someone you love.. The back porch provides an outside dining area, porch swing, and grill. Enjoy a lazy summer afternoon on the swing and take in some fresh country air. In the evenings, build a camp fire at the outdoor fire pit. Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire can create great memories and great snacks.

It is just 2 blocks down the hill to the artsy village.Free parking in the driveway.This is THE perfect spot for Sister/Mother/Daughter/Friends or couples time together.Your hostess lives in the home and is available to offer you great ideas of places that you do not want to miss. Your comfort and privacy is number one with me and I will respect that. The village has so much to offer-as has our state park.

The space
My shared home has been enjoyed by various guests from the USA, Ecuador and Ukraine.. It has been remodeled with many beautiful stained and leaded glass pieces. You will have the private Master suite with sitting room,bedroom and bathroom. The great room with large windows to the outside and gas fireplace, kitchen, dining room is available for your use. Outside areas include a garden,a deck with bistro tables and a coffee deck next to the koi pond in a private fenced yard.

My guests will have the private Master suite with a comfy queen bed, large bath with tub/shower combo and a sitting room. Shared space will be the fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with natural gas fireplace. Please note: There is only one queen bed available for guests. This is a "Home Stay" home which means that I am sharing my home with you. I am in and out, do live here but will respect your privacy. All previous guests have commented how much they appreciated information I shared with them about Brown County and its special places.

There are several.outside areas for you to enjoy.A mural is a highlight and a one of a kind painting by a local artist.There is a small table for two,in the garden,so you can enjoy your coffee or a nice glass of Brown county wine. Inside the home are lots of books, games, music CD's and a Smart TV (for your use if you have mobile data.) If it rains at night during your stay, you may experience a familiar sound..the rain on the skylights ..which reminds me of camping in an RV or a cabin with a tin roof.(Ear plugs provided. )

The Nook is a charming, newly renovated studio. Inside, 3 adults can sleep comfortably on a queen bed and futon couch. The cabin also has a full bathroom and small kitchenette. At night, fire up the charcoal grill or sit around your private fire pit. With the Narrows covered bridge, Turkey Run State Park and Sugar Creek bordering the property, there are outdoor activities galore!

This cabin is 1/2 of a duplex; it has one shared wall with the adjoining unit.

Come to beautiful southern Indiana and stay in our rustic cabin with all the comforts of home. Overlooks White River, close to Bedford, Bloomington, near Spring Mill Park & Bluespring Caverns. There is hiking nearby at Hoosier NF and Milwaukee Trail. Great home base if you are going to IU football game, French Lick or just want to get away for a relaxing weekend. Lots of golfing near by. Limestone bluff overlooks the White River 125 ft. below cabin porch. There is a patio plus a fire pit.

The space
Authentic hand hewn log cabin built in 1920 with addition in 1960s. Sits on a beautiful wooded lot. There is a patio and a fire pit to enjoy a bonfire, we supply all the firewood needed. Sometimes you can see eagles flying up the river. Squirrels, deer, birds, and wild turkeys abound. Very peaceful place. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one small room with a double bed. There is a stocked kitchen with range, microwave, fridge, toaster, blender, coffee maker and coffee provided. If there is something extra you need we will try and accommodate.
The living room has a large window facing the woods and river where you can enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. Relax, read a book or watch the flat screen tv staying warm by the rustic gas fireplace.
There is wi-fi and a smart tv for streaming and some dvds to watch. Be sure and bring your passwords for Netflix etc. There is good cell phone reception.
There is plenty of outdoor space with a swing in the yard and patio furniture right outside the door. Take a walk around the property or short hike down to the river.
River Rock is only five minutes to Bedford with stores and restaurants available. Spring Mill State Park is about ten minutes away with lots of hiking options and other activities. Bloomington, home of IU, is a thirty minute drive. Bloomington has sporting events, music venues and excellent dining opportunities. Historic French Lick and West Baden resort are also nearby. Or just hang out at the cabin to read, play games, enjoy a fire and relax. There is also a gas grill on the patio.

The cabin does sit on a rocky bluff with river below so children have to be watched closely while outdoors. There is plenty of play space outside in front of cabin. No smoking in cabin. Pets are not allowed. If pets on premises damage deposit forfeited and stay canceled. The gas fireplace may be turned off at owner’s discretion.(May thru Sept.) You must be 25 to rent. Only AirBNB renters as on reservation on property unless approved by owners. We usually close in winter months but decided to be open only for weekly renters.

Accepting 30+ day rentals - perfect for those working in the area temporarily or remotely. ***Please note - Due to the cabin's charming countryside location, you might occasionally encounter ants or other harmless insects that find their way inside. While we partner with a professional pest control company, the natural environment can sometimes attract these visitors. Ladybugs are back at the cabin as of 10/29, please note that time/cold temps are the only real solutions, in addition to vacuuming.

Welcome to WildHeart, a family friendly private cabin nestled on 2 acres minutes from the Patoka Lake entrance and Patoka Winery. The French Lick resort, Big Splash Water park, Paoli Peaks and Holiday World are only a short (20-30min) drive away. Spend time on the front porch, grilling on the large deck, enjoying smores around the fire pit or playing games in front of the wood burning stove.
