- "We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. While sitting outside you can hear the noise from the interstate and close by trains. However, inside was much quieter. We also visited during a holiday week. The campground was very busy and noisy (despite the sound restrictions) on the holiday, but after that there were fewer campers and it was much quieter. We loved watching the fish and turtles swimming near the property. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting to get away for a bit. "

Glamping at its best. This lot is at the highest point over looking the lake. This travel trailer sleeps 6. Made for children, the park offers a lake for fishing, boat rentals, beach, swimming pools, game room, mini-golf, kids activities, and more. Air conditioning when it is hot, heat when it is cold, stay dry on a rainy day, inside bathroom. Is this really camping? It is more like Glamour Camping; Glamping. Only 45 minutes from Chicago, and 10 minutes to the Indiana Dunes State Park. (Please note that the park is located between the highway to the north and train to the south, so you will hear both all the time, it is fun but not a quite getaway)
- "The property needed to be cleaned up. Poisen ivy along the fenceline. The gazebo was dirty and the owner suggested we be the ones to clean it with his hose. Camper was nice. Slept six but only had utensils for 4. Luckily we brought some. Not enough towels for 5 people. Only 4. Owner said there was a road near the camper it turned out to an Interstate." - "The RV was in a great location. Loved the gazbo and lake view from fire pit. It needed handle bars on the stairs. Neeed some cleaner and smelled of gas. Stove sisnt work. Manger came to make aure we was doing okay. He was nice. Overall a great stay. "

- "It was a nice, quiet area and close to Nashville where we spent most of our time." - "Camper was very clean the campsite was a great size more private than some. The only thing that was not really good was the bed.. the mattress was very lumpy and it seamed like you where going down hill. Bit the camper was level. We would stay again we would just bring a blow up mattress." - "We don’t feel things were as advertised. The ad I answered was a picture of a fifth-wheel camper by lakeside. Our camper was a camper, nothing really special but it worked. It was advertised with all cooking utensils and a grill. There were 3 small cooking pans, tableware and a set of dishes. No paring knives or cutting board. There was a dish cloth and dish rag with dish soap. We thought there was a real lake. It was smaller than a farm pond. It wasn’t what I expected, but it was nice for a weekend get-away. Just go prepared for what you might need."

- "We stayed here a couple nights as part of a long road trip. Our kids enjoyed the sand volleyball, playground and mini golf ($2). We enjoyed the great weather, grilling by the water and convenience of a kitchen! In addition to the provided bathroom, there are multiple nearby camp style bath houses that are clean. The camper itself is older but maintained; there are pots & pans, plates etc." - "Bedding was great! Owner was very nice. But we had to clean mildew out of the fridge, the bathtub has spiders in it, etc. overall good stay good for price I would pick again. "

- "This rustic houseboat provided a fun weekend overall. It was a tad cramped with our dog, but we figured out how to move around inside. Gorgeous location, no-frills, no running water or flushing toilet, so if you don't mind that, it's a great place to stay for a couple days." - "The property owners definitely put a lot of thought and effort into this little gem! The neighborhood is quiet, the owners didn't disturb us at all! Swans, geese, and a variety of birds to see and hear. If I could only pick one thing to say about this location, I would definitely have to mention that the property owners provide absolutely everything and anything you could possibly need! The only negative would be the size of the shower and toilet. I am a big guy so small spaces are hard for me to maneuver, and the toilet is a compost unit and very small! The lake is over run with weeds (which is not the owners fault). The lake association needs to do a weed kill before it strangles the aquatic life out of the lake! All said, we had a nice peaceful weekend and would definitely recommend the "Tiny Boathouse"!"

This site is at the edge of the smaller former-limestone quarry and so quite close to the communal fire pit, grill, and picnic table. The ground is quite firm so plan accordingly or reserve a cot. This spot is the closest to our humane society shelter next door so sometimes there is audible barking and you may want to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper or choose one of our campsites further to the west. Small campers are welcome, we ask that you unload and then park cars/trucks at entrance.

Celtic Glen is a working, 100 acre family farm of heritage breed livestock, nestled in an old limestone quarry on the banks of the White River, on one side, and Fall Creek, on another. Learn about regenerative farming with rare breeds on a farm tour, or mining and wetlands restoration on an ecological history tour. Pet and feed the livestock. Fish and bird-watch. Take a yoga class (at times with goats or bunnies) in the center of the stone henge. Have coffee with goats. Eat farm craft meats, eggs, prepared soups, casseroles, and baked goods, or hop into town for a bite.
We are across the river from McCormick's Creek State Park (Indiana's first state park with miles of trails, a swimming pool, horseback riding, and lodge) and just two miles north of Spencer, a small town with an excellent brew pub, winery, cafe, and more. Just 12 miles north of the farm is Cataract Falls State Recreation Area. We are only 20 minutes from Bloomington and Indiana University; 45 minutes from Indianapolis Int'l Airport.
This is a working farm with lots of livestock, electric fences, and working dogs, so please leave the farm animals alone unless someone from the farm is available and present. Dogs must be on a leash in the camping area. Given the above features of a working livestock farm, the quarry ruins, the operative railroad tracks, and the river (not suitable for swimming), children under the age of 18 must be attended by adults at all times.
Nearby fun and food:
We have posted many events on our farm facebook page @celticglenllc and we are within 2 miles of lots of options:
Many events happen on the Spencer town square (including Spencer Pride events); and at the Owen County Fairgrounds which are actually in town along the White River and hosts events such as the White River Poultry Show.

Main Street Coffee and Kitchen –a gorgeous café with breakfast and lunch (including Bivi’s tamales)
Millie McGee’s Gosport Diner –amazing comfort food in a charming super-small town just across the river (drive north on 231 then east in 67; 23 E Main St, Gosport; 8 miles from the farm)

This Houseboat just got a brand new bathroom remodel, it has a double bed in the front, two twin beds in a cuddy area with only a 2 1/2 foot ceilings, the table and couch can also be beds. You cannot swim around the boats due to electrical hook up at the marina. There are extra showers in the shelter and rustic outdoor showers or guests. I rent kayaks and life jackets for $20 per. It’s a peaceful setting here and I rent houseboats, 2 campers, and a tiny house.
The space
The houseboat rental is located at a small marina in a cove right on the Ohio River. I describe it as camping on water. This boat has a lot of nice outdoor space and seating. There’s a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, basic dishes, dorm size refrigerator, you may want to bring a cooler. This boat is called Seascape, decorated with nautical decor. It just got a brand new bathroom remodel. Houseboats have small hot water heaters so be mindful of that when showering. I recommend bringing all groceries because the closest stores are at least 8 miles away and I do recommend bringing drinking water. You can fish here but you are supposed to have an Indiana fishing license. There is only a microwave for cooking but you can use the grill and griddle in shelter.
Guest access
There is a large gravel lot to park in, you will follow the sidewalk towards the dog to get to the Houseboat. There is no Uber and you will have to drive your own car to get around the area.
Other things to note
If you use a lot of electronics etc. you can will trip breakers. Be mindful of electric use. It’s a boat not a house. In the hottest of summer days condensation may form on the windows because houseboats are not as insulated as regular homes. This is completely normal. This boat comes with two freestanding AC units and one is vented out the back slider so do not remove. NOTICE The boat is made of steel and if the fish are active at night they will bump the bottom of the boat and it can sound like knocking, if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs. They also eat the algae on the bottom of the boat. Staying on the boat is not like staying in a house.
