Beautiful three bedroom two bath floating home located on the quietest water of Norris Lake, 'The Big Creek'. This floating home is located at Whitman Hollow Marina. We are located just 15 minutes off I 75 and very close to shopping. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the front porch. Swim deck located adjacent to home. Master bed has queen bed. Second bedroom has queen bed. Third bedroom has twin bunk beds. Great room has pull-out couch. House sleeps 10 comfortably. Front porch has rail surrounding and gas grill reach for your use. For any rainy days: There are two flat screen TVs with DVD players. Feel free to bring your favorite DVD's or choose from the large selection in the house library! The house also packs some great sound indoor and outdoor with auxillary hook up for your phone or Ipod. Stack washer/dryer in utility room. Very open and spacious kitchen dining and great room! Three bedroom, two bathroom floating home located at Whitman Hollow Marina. Home of Froggies Patio Bar (best wings on the lake). Voted one of the best Marinas on the lake two years in a row! Classic cottage feel floating right on the water. NO STEPS to get in and swim all day long.

Plenty of space for 10 adults without feeling crowded. Two sets of SOLID wood double over double bunk beds and a Queen bed in the master suite. One full bathroom with tub and a 3/4 bathroom with a shower.

Great location for good flat water for water sports (GO WAKEBOARDING) or a short trip to several other marinas. Really close to Indian River and a 15-25 min boat ride to The Dam, Sequoia, and Stardust.

Welcome to beautiful Norris Lake! This great little cottage is floating on the lake right outside of Whitman Hollow Marina.

The perfect family getaway! We offer 2 bedrooms and one full bath, with sleeping up to 7. Enjoy the slide off the dock, shoot hoops while floating out front or hop on the paddle board. Needing to relax at the end of the day? Grab a board game or deck of cards from our selection.

Must have a boat to access! No boat? No problem! Whitman Hollow offers boat rentals so you’ll just want to call them in advance to reserve one if needed. You can park at the marina for free. If you have a boat the launch ramp is right around the corner from the marina and is also free.

Welcome to Heavenly Hideaway a floating cabin located on Norris Lake at Whitman Hollow Marina/Froggies patio bar. This unique experience allows you to stay on a floating cabin. When you wake up in the morning, take in the breath taking view, grab your coffee and cast a line off of your front porch. In the afternoon, you can jump into the fresh water to cool off or take a boat ride to Jumping Rock. In the evening, go to Whitman Hollow marina and eat some food, have a few drinks and listen to live music. You don't have to go far for entertainment while staying at our location.

Norris Lake offers the best lake life to include: jet ski rentals, boat rentals, wake boarding, water skiing, tubing, fishing and more.

This 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home features 5 beds and can accommodate 10 full size adults comfortably. There are two Full size beds in the gally and each of the 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. There is a full kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook large meals. There is also a separate beverage fridge and bar area located near the front door for easy access to beverages while enjoying the outdoors.

The front of the home offers a large entertainment deck for sun bathing and outdoor lounging. The deck also features a ladder to get back onto the home if you would like to swim in the beautiful lake water.

*****Since the home is floating on the lake, a boat is required to get to and from the floating cabin. If you do not have access to your own boat we recommend checking with Whitman Hollow Marina, they have a newer rental fleet. Please contact us and we can offer other rental recommendations if they do not have any availability. *****

THIS HOUSE REQUIRES A BOAT TO GET TO.

The remodeled Anchors Away floating house has 2 bath, 4 bedrooms in addition to an upstairs bedroom loft (sleeps 15).Not only will you enjoy beautiful norris lake experience but you have Froggies patio bar and resturant. The house has Central AC/Heat, washer/dryer, 42” TV/DVD,CD, complete kitchen including oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, etc. Small TV upstairs for hooking up games for the kids. The covered front deck has a gas grill, furniture and three tables for seating 16. It also has an additional large front deck 32×16 which includes a slide and is great for swimming or just lounging and internet. Tie your boat to your cabin for a one of a kind vacation.

Bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom 2 has a queen bed, bedroom 3 has a king bed, bedroom 4 has a queen and a twin bed, and the 2nd floor loft bedroom has 2 queen size beds and 2 twin beds.

- "Thank you" - "My family and I spent the long weekend at anchors away. I have personally been to Norris many times, but never got the whole family to stay together. We all fit comfortably in this large 4 bedroom house with a loft! Large living room and kitchen space. It was nice to have somewhere roomy to sleep. But the main reason we were there was for the lake. The deck was huge, we spent the whole day out there. The waters were calm, got to swim and relax all day. The place could use a little dusting up high, otherwise fairly clean. We had two bathrooms and two showers which was really nice. We had some issues with hot water once and one of the toilets not functioning twice… Josh with maintenance came by twice to fix the problem though and went above and beyond - we really appreciated that. Overall loved our stay."

Must have a boat to get to and from houseboat. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE!! Make sure to bring your fishing poles and kayaks and paddle boards and have the time if your life.

- "We really enjoyed the quiet area. The home is beautiful and worked perfect for us." - "When we arrived at the marina we were very surprised and frustrated to find out that we needed a boat to get to the houseboat. After looking back at the VRBO ad there was 1 small line all the way at the bottom of the entire page that mentioned that detail. In my opinion that is a very important detail that should have been upfront and bold. I tried calling and texting the owner who initially did not respond. When she did she didn't seem to really care about our predicament. Someone from the marina was very helpful, taking us and our stuff to the boat in a pontoon and let us borrow kayaks. He also came out to help us get back to the shore with our belongings. Once in houseboat we found out that the air conditioner in the main part of the houseboat was not working. I texted the owner again but received no response till morning. We then had to wait around for someone to come look at the a/c. They were unable to fix it and called an hvac person who came the next day and put Freon in the a/c. That helped for a few hours so yet another day with no a/c in the main part of the houseboat, the temps were in the 90’s. The next day the owner brought out a window air conditioner which didn’t cool it down great but was definitely better. So in total we 1 day with partial a/c out of 5 days we stayed. The back door handle was broken and would come off in your hand every time we used the door - the owner tried to say we broke it but it was broke when we arrived."

Memaw’s Cabin is accessed by boat only. Straight Creek Marina is where the floating cabin is moored. You can launch your personal boats and park for free at SCM or you can rent various boats at the Marina Office.

Memaws cabin does not have a dishwasher, dishes will need to be hand washed prior to departure. We also do not have a washer/dryer however, there is laundry available at the Marina bath house.

The space
A few notables:

The Gypsy is suitable for a maximum of four people. No exceptions. If you are bringing children they should be a minimum of 10 years old. You must remember that this is a floating house, in the water. There is not a fence between the house and the water. Children have a fantastic time here, but we highly encourage and recommend children wear a life vest at all times.

The Gypsy is not a place for groups to party. It is a quiet retreat, perfect for a couples, girls trip or is perfect for fisherman, but not a fit for larger groups.

If you plan to have more people at The Gypsy during the day than you registered with, you must let us know. The number of people affects toilet pump outs and we may need to charge a fee. So unless we hear from you, if you book 4 people we assume you will only have 4 people hanging out.

Need to Know:
- The water is city water safe for drinking.
- We will start you off with some paper towels and ziplocs, but you may need to bring more.
- We will provide the toilet paper for our marine toilet.
- Absolutely no pets. This is imperative as we have family with severe allergies. There will be a minimum $500 cleaning fee if a pet has stayed in our place.
- No Smoking or Vaping inside our home. Preferably no smoking anywhere. But if you must, please choose an exterior area away from doors and windows.
- We have family with nut allergies. Please carefully clean up after yourself when eating/cooking with nuts. Even outdoors.

The entire Gypsy is yours to use. We will not be on the premises during your stay unless requested.

Other things to note
Please arrive for check-in between 3 PM and 8 PM. You will check in at the marina before proceeding to the Gypsy. Please be aware the marina hours are set. If an emergency happens and you’re going to arrive late, please let us know ASAP. You may be charged a late check-in fee.

Welcome to Norris Lake! This great little cottage is floating on the lake within Whitman Hollow Marina. The home can only be accessed by boat, if you don’t have your own Whitman Hollow offers boat rentals, just call them in advance to reserve.

Parking at the marina is free. If you have a boat the launch ramp is right around the corner from the marina and is also free.

Our unique property is located on the far west part of the marina this allows us to have unobstructed views of beautiful sunset and mountain views. We are also located at Whitman Hollow Marina which is one of the "funnest" marinas/restaurant/bars on the lake. Plenty of live music and great food!!

The space
Welcome to Heavenly Hideaway a floating cabin located on Norris Lake at Whitman Hollow Marina/Froggies patio bar. This unique experience allows you to stay on a floating cabin. When you wake up in the morning, take in the breath taking view, grab your coffee and cast a line off of your front porch. In the afternoon, you can jump into the fresh water to cool off or take a boat ride to Jumping Rock. In the evening, go to Whitman Hollow marina and eat some food, have a few drinks and listen to live music. You don't have to go far for entertainment while staying at our location. If you decide to stay in for the evening enjoy looking up at the stars while soaking in the spacious 5-6 person hot tub.

Norris Lake offers the best lake life to include: jet ski rentals, boat rentals, wake boarding, water skiing, tubing, fishing and more.

This 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home features 5 beds and can accommodate 10 full size adults comfortably. There are two Full size beds in the gally and each of the 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. There is a full kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook large meals. We also have a traditional coffee pot as well as a K-cup coffee maker. There is also a separate beverage fridge and bar area located near the front door for easy access to beverages while enjoying the outdoors. This home is also equipped with a built in indoor/outdoor Bluetooth stereo system.

The front of the home offers a large entertainment deck for sun bathing and outdoor lounging/dining. The deck also features a hot tub, slide and a ladder to get back onto the home if you would like to swim in the beautiful lake water.

*****Since the home is floating on the lake, a boat is required to get to and from the floating cabin. If you do not have access to your own boat we recommending checking with Whitman Hollow Marina which has a newer rental fleet. If they do not have anything available, please contact us and we can offer other rental recommendations. *****

Whitman Hollow marina features plenty of free parking as well as courtesy boat slips for when you are going to/from land or the restaurant/bar.

Please remember that this house is surrounded by water and to bring appropriate life jackets for any children.
