Description: A beautiful cabin style home that is quite unique. It has a large great room with red oak floors and knotty pine cathedral ceilings. The oak wrapped roof beam is more than 17 feet above the floor! A stone, wood burning, fireplace really creates a cozy and romantic atmosphere during the winter months (Don't worry, we provide firewood for your stay during the winter months of Nov-Apr). In addition, a gas furnace will insure that you never get cold.

The spacious living room and kitchen are all open which creates a wonderful Great Room space for entertaining family & friends.
There are beautiful views of Lake Pepin from the kitchen and living room. There is a 40" flat screen TV, entertainment center with DVD/BluRay video player and selection of movies. Wood burning fireplace creates a memorable atmosphere (you will not want to leave!). The living room features a queen size futon, 8 ft couch, one and half person chair w/ottoman in front of the fireplace as well as a Prairie style rocking chair and 2 leather recliners.
Sleeping accommodations are a queen size bed in the bedroom, a queen size futon and 8 ft leather couch in the great room, and 2 twin beds, a full size futon, and 2 foam seats that fold out to mattresses in the loft.
The large 16 ft by 27 ft cedar deck offers space for entertaining and great views of Lake Pepin. There are a flight of stairs (about 20 steps that are about 4 ft to landing, then 3 ft wide to living space) to negotiate as the garage is below and living quarters above. There is a 2nd bathroom, with shower, and laundry room off the garage.

EXTERIOR OF HOME: Enjoy the sunset while sitting around the huge fire pit overlooking the lake (plenty of lawn chairs provided and a limited amount of complimentary firewood is included). Take the winding steps down medium elevation to the lake and the private 'L' dock with 100' of private frontage. Seasonal neighbors on both sides are friendly and have large oversize lots with plenty of mature trees, so there is plenty of privacy. The driveway is fully paved and is large enough for 4 trucks and trailers, or about 8 cars. The whole family will enjoy the level paved Basketball court, while they watch the children play in the sandbox. The landscaping is well maintained with an automatic sprinkler system. A complimentary lift for your pontoon, boat, or PWC is available at no extra charge; inquire with owner. Lac Courte Oreilles is a large lake and can have 3 foot waves during storms; so this is an important amenity since it makes the difference between having to take your boat out, or having major damage to your boat or dock. NEW We now have an automatic back-up generator! Although rare, being in the northwoods with lots of trees it seems like there is at least one storm a year that will blow a tree on a power line, or a winter ice storm that breaks a power line. In the event there is a power outage you may not even know it since the generator will automatically restore power so you will have water, refrigerator, lights, microwave, furnace, TV, etc. Keep in mind all these comforts won't work if the power goes out... We know how important your vacation is and have taken the extra step/investment to make sure you are comfortable and worry free no matter what the weather!

INTERIOR OF HOME: The Interior is immaculate and tastefully decorated with a northwoods cabin feel. Knotty pine ceilings and walls throughout, and hardwood floors in great room, dining, and kitchen. The home has central air conditioning, and two gas fireplaces with log mantles, one on main floor and one in basement. There are 7 flat panel TV's 26"-55" with cable throughout the home in living rooms and bedrooms, along with a movie library and DVD players All TV's are smart TV's. There is a central multi-room stereo system that can play your ipod music. Free WI-FI Charter high speed internet. The kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils and cookware (2 coffee makers plus a Keurig, crock pot, pizza oven, griddle, waffle maker, mixer, popcorn popper, toaster, blender, etc). We have a beautiful custom made large dining table with seating for 8, plus seating for 5 at the island, and a child's high chair too. The well water is clear and tastes great. For outdoor cooking we have a large high quality stainless gas grill plus a Weber charcoal grill. All bed, bath, and kitchen linens are included -you will need to bring your own beach towels. Attached oversize weatherproof 3 season porch with lake view. The deck has 2 dining tables and chairs. Ceramic tile in all three full bathrooms (one on each level). Adults can enjoy peace and quiet on the main level, while kids can enjoy the fully finished walkout basement with air hockey, foosball, movies and 2 cool log bunk bed sets.

BEDROOM/BATHROOM LAYOUT: Sleeps 10-15. Master Suite in loft overlooking lake has king log bed, Main Level bedroom 1 has queen log bed, Main Level bedroom 2 has queen pine bed, Kids bedroom in walkout basement has 2 log bunk sets totaling one full and 3 twins beds. For additional guests we have a full sofa sleeper and a rollaway bed available in oversize basement rec room. We have a pack and play for your toddler too. All mattresses are high quality and comfortable (even the bunk beds). There are three full bathrooms, one on each level, the main level bath tub also has safety bars for older guests.

THE LAKE: Lac Courte Oreilles is over 8 miles long and at over 5000 acres is the largest natural lake in the county and is well known for excellent fishing, sailing, exploring and water sports. Lac Courte Oreilles is also connected to Grindstone Lake which is over 3000 acres, and makes for a great day trip with light shallow hull boat or pontoon. The bottom gently tapers from nothing at shore, to 3 feet deep at the swimming area at the end of the new 30 foot 'L' shaped dock with large sitting area. From there it continues to gently taper out to about ten feet deep, and stays level for approximately 40 yards. This water is absolutely crystal clear ALL year long -drop a dime off the end of the dock and you can still see it!

You will be hard pressed to find a finer vacation home in the area, and the location is perfect for all types of entertainment on water and off. This place has it all, too much to mention. Our reviews speak for themselves!

- "Our seven day stay was filled with boating, water skiing, tubing, roasting marshmallows, playing yard games, scootering, water balloon fights, owl hunting, and kayaking." - "Beautiful Cabin, with a great view of the lake. Plenty of TV's for movies or rainy days. Big, bright gathering room and also some smaller rooms for privacy and downtime. Lake is clear, a little rocky off the dock, and the water was a little low, so be careful when jumping in or navigating a boat. Owner has a boat lift which was very helpful. There is a huge sandbar across the lake, so make some time to anchor on that for a fun day in the the water. Cabin is close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough to get away from traffic and noise. It's also private from the neighbors. We rented a pontoon from Michele at Trails End and UTV's from Petit's in Hayward. i strongly recommend both of them. Overall, awesome cabin experience!"

ATV's & UTV'S:
All-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles are ​not permitted​ on Brickyard Creek roads.

ALLERGY-FREE ZONE:​
​All cottages are allergy-free rentals, only a handful of cabins allow pets— n​o pets without prior approval​. NO smoking or burning incense or candles allowed​. Per the State of Wisconsin smoking ban, this includes smoking on decks and/or screen porches.

CAMPFIRES:​
Enjoy the community fire pit located near the beach by the gazebo. There is usually firewood available​. DO NOT pick up wood on the common grounds, private lots, or along the trails. Be alert to wind and weather conditions. Fast-moving embers easily burn holes in sails of boats at the marina or start forest fires. Please be careful not to build roaring fires. Do not leave fires unattended and ensure they are fully extinguished​ when leaving the area. ​Fires are not permitted anywhere else on BYC properties.

GRILLS:​
P​ropane or electric grills are available at most properties for guest use. Guests shall be required to clean grills after use. Failure to do so will result in a $​25 fee. Propane should be T​URNED OFF​ after use and c​over placed on grill A​FTER ​grill is cool.​ Please notify Windseeker Rentals when propane runs out.

HOLDING TANKS:​ ​
The majority of the Brickyard Creek Cottages have holding tanks, not a sewer or septic system. Please ​don't run water unnecessarily or flush any feminine products.​ We ask that only registered guests to the cottage unit use the bath/shower facilities.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING:​
O​ur community recycles c​ans, cardboard, plastic, and glass​— we hope you will too! G​arbage and recycling dumpsters are located just past the intersection of Roy's Point Boulevard and Brickyard Creek Road​. Please "free your recyclables" by placing them directly in the dedicated dumpster or use a paper bag. We are charged an added fee for every plastic bag found in our recycling dumpster. Thank you for your efforts. ​Every little bit counts!

CHILDREN & FAMILIES:​ ​
The love of the environment starts in childhood. Kids are always welcome!​ Please ​provide adult supervision to ensure their safety​ and the solitude of the other guests and residents.

TWENTY IS PLENTY:​ ​
The roads in Brickyard Creek are considered part of the trail system. For the safety of all pedestrians, ​drive 20 mph or less​. Particularly watch for children whose enthusiasm may cause them to outpace their adult supervisors.

NATIVE TREES & FLORA:​
Brickyard cottages are "of the land, not on the land." During construction, very few trees and natural plants were disturbed. We ask you to be cautious of marked "nature rehabilitation" areas​, and please don't pick wildflowers.

COTTAGE FIREPLACES:​
​Wood burning fireplaces in chalets are N​OT for guest use​ unless otherwise specified.

- "The Woodland Chalet was a perfect escape. It is a couple miles from the hustle and bustle of Bayfield set in the woods. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. The kitchen had everything we wanted (and more). We spent most of our time on the screened porch for dining and relaxing. We would not hesitate to return to the chalet. One should be aware, however, that the stairs to the loft are narrow and the sloping roof in the loft could be a problem for a taller person."

Unique spacious three level log cabin in a gorgeous setting on the Wisconsin River, 20 minutes from Spring Green, or 65 minutes from Madison. This riverfront property affords breathtaking views from all three levels of the house, both upstream and downstream, with decks on the east, south and west sides. The walls and ceilings are sided with rustic knotty pine. Set on just under one acre, this lovely property has 325 feet of river frontage, dozens of big trees, a spring-fed clear-running stream, firepit and a barbeque grill.

Bad weather - cuddle by the fireplace, read, watch the river from the huge windows in the Great Room or downstairs screen porch. - "We stayed here for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. BEAUTIFUL property and perfect location for a true getaway. Check in process was easy and communication with the hosts was awesome. We felt safe and comfortable and loved the River views. If you are a light sleeper, there is traffic noise but it didn’t really bother us. I would highly recommend having a bonfire - a bundle of wood is just $5 and it’s a nice fire pit with plenty of seating. Overall a great weekend stay!"

Beautiful log cabin on pristine Lake. All knotty pine interior. We feature a wet bar that seats nine over looking the lake, large open kitchen and living room. Full bathroom, two good size bedrooms with two queen size beds in each. Four satellite televisions, stero, cd player, DVD player and VCR. Large deck with plenty room to BBQ and relax. Excellent swimming right off the aluminum pier, large fire pit area with lots of room to sit after a busy day of fishing and swimming. The lake is very clean and great for fishihg walleyes, perch and big muskeys there is also good hunting in this entire area. We are located in the snow belt so in winter it snows almost every day. The home is located very close to the snowmobile trails that go for hundreds of miles both in Wisconsin and the UP. There is down hill and cross country sking and the ice fishing is fantastic.

This place truly has something for everyone in the family. We bring our friends with us for weekends and they just rave about the experiance. Presque Isle is a great place to relax, we have plenty of good resturants in the area and the people are some of the nicest we ever met. We would love to have you come on your next vacation. - "Beautiful home in a central location for the area activities! Kitchen was wonderful for evening meals. Prepared some wonderful fish fillets on the grill from Koops/Bayfield. Kayaked with Lost Creek for a fun afternoon! Lots of scenic hikes in the area ( Lakeshore Trail , Lost Creek Falls, Houghton ) including the nice trail to the shore from the cabin. Loved the screened on porch and the bikes ( with helmets) to use." - "The fireplace didn’t work which was disappointing. The furniture was bad. Not enough seating for 4 people in living room. No dining table and chairs in unit only on porch. The bathroom’s upstairs and down were very nice with wonderful showers, and very nice towels. Any requests we had were answered immediately. - "Love this little gem outside of Bayfield!" - "What an absolutely beautiful cabin! This cabin had the right balance of rustic and modern. It made it very comfortable for our entire family to enjoy the area, and feel like home. The neighborhood trails were an evening routine for our family to wind down at the end of the day, and play at the nearby beach on Lake Superior. The cabin felt cozy and the hosts provided so many details about near by things to do to take in the Northern Wisconsin experience. We also liked how it was just a 4 min drive outside of Bayfield. Made for a quiet stay. This cabin has a special place in our heart. We will be back."

O​ur community recycles c​ans, cardboard, plastic, and glass​— we hope you will too! G​arbage and recycling dumpsters are located just past the intersection of Roy's Point Boulevard and Brickyard Creek Road​. Please "free your recyclables" by placing them directly in the dedicated dumpster or use a paper bag. We are charged an added fee for every plastic bag found in our recycling dumpster. Thank you for your efforts. ​Every little bit counts!

The love of the environment starts in childhood. Kids are always welcome!​ Please ​provide adult supervision to ensure their safety​ and the solitude of the other guests and residents.

The roads in Brickyard Creek are considered part of the trail system. For the safety of all pedestrians, ​drive 20 mph or less​. Particularly watch for children whose enthusiasm may cause them to outpace their adult supervisors.

Brickyard cottages are "of the land, not on the land." During construction, very few trees and natural plants were disturbed. We ask you to be cautious of marked "nature rehabilitation" areas​, and please don't pick wildflowers.

- "My family enjoyed our weekend stay. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, Location was ideal for our needs. The lake was easily accessible as well as scenic. The cabins were very clean - we felt comfortable letting our 8 month old roll around. The bathroom had a new-looking full bathtub and shower and all of the furniture and fixtures seemed brand new. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, appliances, dishes, pots and pans. (You'll need to bring all food items including salt and pepper and coffee). No cable, but the wifi signal was strong and the TV has an HDMI port. The towels were new and fluffy and the sheets and bedding were white and crisp. (BYO shampoo and toiletries) We loved the free boats and the beautiful sand beach. It's partially shaded during the morning, which was good for the kids. Our four year old jumped off the raft for hours! There were several other families with children staying at the resort while we were there and the welcoming community atmosphere was wonderful. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the lodge was a fun place to hang out (2 large smart TVs, two new couches, pool table, arcade games, juke box, board games, Kuerig, and general store.) On site coin-op washer and dryer as well. The playground in Phelps is really phenomenal. We also went into Eagle River several times and visited the beautiful library (free library card even for out of state visitors), the movie theater, and the children's museum. (Can't say enough about the Northwoods Children's Museum for young children! Our kids were completely entranced and cried when it was time to leave.) Many cabins are two connected side-by-side, so this could be perfect for families traveling together, or an intergenerational vacation, if you like having your own space. We recommend Coady's POV!"

Built as a winter or summer escape for a couple or small group, this lakefront four-season cabin is a great way to experience the Northwoods of Wisconsin in a modern, well-appointed, aesthetically rich space designed with relaxation in mind.

A heavy emphasis has been placed on style, comfort, usability of space, and privacy.

The Sylvan Chalet is brand new as of January 2024. Host has 14 years of vacation rental experience.

This is a default "no pets" cabin, however certain sizes and breeds are allowed by permission only.

The Space:

The chalet is a Scandinavian twist on classic American mid-century modern design. There is a heavy emphasis on bringing the feel of the outdoors inside.

Large, expansive windows highlight the views of Upper Twin Lake and surrounding forest. An open floor plan creates an expansive, yet cozy feel. The interior is adorned with custom local wood work that is rustic, yet refined. The furnishings (mostly Room & Board) have a modern, yet timeless look. A high-efficiency Danish wood stove keeps the cabin cozy in the colder months. Firewood is provided. The kitchen was designed and appointed for serious cooking with a high output gas range, quality cookware/glassware, and knives that are sharpened quarterly.

Special emphasis has been given to outdoor spaces. Of special note is the "infinity edge" firepit with exceptional views of the lake. A 150 square foot covered deck wraps around the front of the chalet and has a gas grill and bistro set. Landscaped steps lead to a dock on the lake where a canoe and paddleboards are provided.

This is a very private and natural space. The lot has 250 feet of lake frontage. Neighboring cabins are about 80 yards away, with woods in between. The cabin is located in a back bay, thus providing a large buffer from main lake boat traffic. Bird watching is exceptional here. Expect to see geese, swans, sandhill cranes, eagles, loons, and a variety of ducks early spring through late fall. Deer routinely travel through the front yard, and if you're lucky, you'll see the otter family swim by.

The cabin comes with an Old Towne Canoe, two Paddle North paddleboards and maps of where to go on the lake for swimming, fishing, and bird-watching. The cabin also comes with snowshoes for hiking on the frozen lake or area trails. The book shelf is loaded up with books and games.

The town of Hayward is known as a world class silent sports destination. The American Birkebiener "OO" trailhead is only a 5 minute drive away. It has groomed ski, snowshoeing, and fat-biking trails in the winter, and mountain biking, trail-running and single track trails in the summer. "OO" has an EV level 2 charger too! A variety of maps and details are provided for guests to go on their own outdoor hiking, fishing, biking, and skiing adventures. Snowmobile and ATV trails are very close if that's your jam.

The chalet is an ideal place to work from home with fast Starlink internet. There are several suitable spaces to crack open your laptop...and then slam it shut once done and get back to what you really came here for ;)

Guest access:

There is parking for multiple vehicles. You will need a car to get around. There is a normal outlet near the parking area. There is a proper level 2 EV charger at the "OO" trailhead 5 minutes away. Charge while you bike, hike, or ski.

Other things to note:

The sleeping loft with two twin beds has a low ceiling and limited space. Spatial awareness, caution, and agility are required to use safely. It is NOT a good fit for young children, the elderly, or those with limited mobility. It is potentially not a good fit for large, tall adults. Please be self selective about who will sleep in the loft!

While this house has lake access, it is not deep enough for propped boats to get from dock to main lake. Only canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards can navigate from the dock through the bay to the main lake. Also, the immediate shoreline is not swimmable, however the canoe and paddleboards can access a nice swimming area and beach on an island nearby

The driveway has some steepness to it in parts. In winter it is highly recommended that you have AWD or 4WD.

The windows in the main room do not have blinds. It is prohibitive due to the amount of glass, and the house is very private. Neighbors are 80 yards away with a strong vegetative barriers and boat traffic on the lake is too far away to peak into the house. There are blinds in the bedroom and bathroom.

The walk from the chalet down to the lake can be steep in some parts. It could prove challenging for people with limited mobility.

The Starlink internet is very fast, but does have brief outages that typically last 10 seconds or less.

The default is no pets or emotional support animals...however I will allow certain sizes and breeds of dogs or cats under certain circumstances if owner agrees to specific pet rules, and pays a pre-arranged fee. Inquire if you want to bring a pet. Do not bring pets unless you have express permission from owner

PETS: We are only a dog-friendly resort between the end of August and early June - in Cabins 1, 3, 10, and 11 during that time frame. We have a $50/stay per dog fee; pets must be on a leash outside cabins at all times and crated inside when left alone. Located on a hilltop outside of Mount Horeb, this log chalet was designed and built by Reggie, Rick, and Spencer Luedtke in 2010. The white pines used in the construction of the log walls were cut, peeled and transported to the site by the builder. The unique floors and trim throughout the house originated from the black walnut trees growing on the property. The log chalet is located on 8.5 acres - half of the property is wooded and half is open.

The space
The secluded location is perfect for an outdoor retreat, but is close enough to Madison to make it ideal for a quiet place to stay during your visit to Wisconsin's capital city. The open design is great for airy summer days, and includes radiant in-floor heating and a wood-burning fireplace for cozy winter nights.

Guest access
In addition to the beautiful home, our property boasts a large yard, a pond with a deck and pergola for contemplation or swimming, indoor and outdoor games of all kinds, a small garden, a library of books and movies, a charcoal grill, and more.

Other things to note
The large decks on and around the house make great locales for relaxation in the warmer months. Large windows throughout the house provide breathtaking views year-round. Fresh snowfall in the wintertime is a sight to see, from a cozy fire-lit vantage point. A cedar barrel sauna, with a wood burning stove, is available for guest use (starting October 1st).

The Lake Life Lodge is a Northern WI chalet located between Eagle River and Three Lakes. This location offers convenient access to local events, snow mobile routes, and the chain of lakes. The chain can be accessed by the Cranberry Lake Landing, a two minute drive away.

The chalet is situated on more than two acres of land on Perch Lake Shores. The property and lake is serene and offers plenty of activities to entertain families, couples and friends alike.

The entire chalet and grounds will be available exclusively to the guests. This includes private access to the lake front and dock.

Enjoy beautiful sunsets and amazing privacy in this chalet style lake home. Middle McKenzie Lake is a great swimming, fishing and boating lake, with clear water and a sandy bottom. Enjoy the wildlife, relax on the large deck, in the screened porch, or around the campfire. There is a private, sandy beach. The space
This spacious home has a great room with a stone fireplace, lots of windows, a fully equipped kitchen, and large dining table. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with extra sleeping areas in the loft, and the screened porch. There is a knotty pine cathedral ceiling with ceiling fans, and great views of the lake from the newly expanded upstairs living area. You will love the sunsets!
