We would like to welcome you to our bright newly built 2nd floor above garage apartment. Located in a family friendly neighborhood, just a 10 minute walk to downtown where you will find delicious dining, unique shops and historical sites everywhere you turn. Jarod and I with our kids live in the main house. We love giving our guest privacy but may run into you as we are enjoying the weather as often as we can with our kids running around enjoying their childhood.

The space
With your own off road parking space and private keyless entry you will enter the apartment using the ground floor door. The wide staircase at the entry leads you up to the open living area. Upon your arrival you will find complementary coffee and tea, a fully equipped kitchen and a warm sitting area in the open living space. From the spacious bathroom to the cozy king size bed along with a pull out couch in the living room, we invite you to unwind and relax after your day of travels and exploration. The space provides ample amounts of storage, laundry, and smart thermostat.

Just a block away you’ll find a playground for a family friendly location. We have a selection of children’s toys, books and games for all that can be found in the closet next to the tv. Please let me know if you are in need of a pack and play or high chair during your stay so these can be set up upon your arrival.

This private, 6 bedroom, 100 year old Lodge is a spacious 6000 sq ft. and sleeps 12, Room 6 is a suite with a private full bath and rooms 1-5 share two full baths, there is a powder room on the main floor. A large living room with a fireplace and a full bar for our guests that overlooks the lake. Huge deck with a stone fire place and grill also overlooks the private lake. Excellent swimming and fishing lake. We rent boats $60/day and provide complementary kayaks, canoe, and paddle board.

The space
Air BnB 26327750 is to book only Room 5 with shared multiple bathrooms (Next door to a bathroom). If you need extra rooms please open the additional Mockesair B&B rooms and individually book each room.

The lake is a clear and healthy lake with no invasive species. It is a Class A fishing lake with musky, walleye, bass and panfish of all species. Moccasin lake is a 90 acre private lake with no public boat landing, however, this Lodge is just a short drive to any number of the 1000 beautiful Wisconsin public lakes with launch access. The Mockesair Lodge rents aluminum fishing boats for $50.00/day as well as provides complementary kayaks, canoe, paddle board, and paddle boat for those staying in the Lodge and cabin.

Guest access
This guest suite is above our garage, with the entrance around back accessible from a garden path. Guests have exclusive access to their own deck, fire pit, and a one-acre front prairie with a perimeter path. There is a privacy fence in between the main house on the property (where my family and I live) and the guesthouse's outdoor area and entrance. While you may see us coming and going out front, our private yard and family spaces are secluded behind our house and mostly out of view. See previous guests' comments below to hear how people experience privacy despite the proximity.

There is also a 1/3 mile path (called "the common loop") around a secluded 3-acre prairie that you are free to explore, and that is not visible from either residence. Maps are provided.

Other things to note
Our well-appointed guesthouse on a rural homestead is unique because you get the peace and quiet of the countryside, but not the feeling of being too remote or too far from other friendly humans (if needed!). Our guests share that they experience lots of privacy, yet also the peace of mind knowing someone is around should anything come up. We are happy to share tips on favorite hikes and to recommend places to shop and eat. But mostly we are pretty hands-off hosts.
