This is a privately owned, waterfront property on Lake Campbell, Brookings, SD. Eagles View is an open concept plan with lots of space. All bedrooms have their own bathroom and sitting areas. The entire house has air conditioning and heating. We have the most quiet space where you will see lots of wildlife in our natural setting. We love to meet people!

Our guesthouse is a one bedroom, one bath get away with room to breathe! Sleeps 8, with a newly added loft including 2 full sized beds, a pull out bed in the sectional of the spacious living room and a king sized bed in the bright and sunny private master bedroom. Internet is unreliable, encouraging you to put down your phone and simply relax. TV with DVD player available-no cable. AC and forced air heat. Grill and fire pit available! We look forward to your visit!

Beautiful view, located in quiet country setting, only 5 minutes from downtown Spearfish. Guest house has 1 bedroom with 1 king size bed and living room has sofa sleeper that makes into full-size bed. There is a full kitchen and bathroom.
Located close to Tinton Trail and Crow Peak for great hiking and mountain bike riding. Short drive to Deadwood or Sturgis and nice deck with Firepit to relax later. Great place to stay while enjoying what the Black Hills has to offer.

As you can see from some of the photos our home is set upon a hill and we have unobstructed views of Bear Butte. The area is truly peaceful. Our bedrooms are comfortable allowing our guests privacy and an opportunity to relax after their adventures.

Our home has onsite parking so no need to worry about that. We have plenty of room for all our guests and can even accomodate a few trailers. We live on well maintained dirt roads in a quiet neighborhood only about 4 miles from I-90.

This cozy queen bedroom on the second floor has pine furniture, warm tones, and large windows with plenty of natural light. Located on the east side of the house, the bedroom overlooks a rustic barn and has neighborhood views. You can catch a glimpse of Mount Moriah Cemetery at the top of the hill. The bathroom - accessed through the hallway - is located just next door, and it's shared with one other guest room.

The space
The 1899 Inn is Deadwood's only turn-of-the-century inn with full breakfast service. Nestled in the town's Presidential District (all the streets in the neighborhood are named after American presidents), the house is in one of the oldest and most prestigious quarters in the city. No more than a five-minute walk from the important stuff, including the casinos and historic buildings on Main Street, the Adams Museum and the Mickelson Trail. The Adams House is just five houses over, and Mount Moriah Cemetery, the final resting place of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, is a few minutes walk to the top of our hill.

The home itself is one of the biggest Victorians built in Deadwood, with seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. It has original woodwork and stained glass, but we've updated and modernized the plumbing (endless hot water!), HVAC (central heat and air conditioning!), and electrical. It was constructed in 1899 by H.B. Wardman, one of those rich-but-never-famous Deadwood businessmen who was mayor of the town in the 1920s. The house still has a lot of the original fixtures and 19th century technology (call bells, gas lighting fixtures, etc.).

The Writing Room is located just off the main staircase, so it gets a little more noise than other rooms in the house. It has a queen bed, two large dressers, butterfly chair, television, and writing desk. Views are of the historic barn next door and uphill to Mount Moriah Cemetery. The room was named in honor of our friend Megan Phelps-Roper, who lived in this room for several months in 2013 after leaving the Westboro Baptist Church. She wrote portions of her book "Unfollow: A Memoir of Loving and Leaving the Westboro Baptist Church" in this room.

The bathroom isn't en suite - it's a short walk down the hall - and it has a large clawfoot tub and heated tile floor. Use of the bathroom is shared with one other queen bedroom, which means you may be sharing with strangers. Don't worry - our guests are very polite and courteous! If you have any questions about this arrangement, please send us a note before you reserve, and we'll be happy to try and help you out!

Other bedrooms in the house are available as their own Airbnb listing, including three king suites and the cozy old library on the ground floor. Alternatively, this room can be combined with the Maid's Room next door for parties of four or five who want private bedrooms but who don't mind sharing the same bathroom.

Because it's an old neighborhood with limited space, there isn't any off-street parking. There's always plenty of room on the street in front of the house, but be sure to let us know if you've got a large trailer or RV.

Guest access
In addition to your room, most of the first floor is common space. There are two sitting rooms - one with a large-screen TV, one with a gas fireplace - and a formal dining room with a large oak table. There are also two covered porches with seating areas and a small patio with outdoor dining table.

During your stay
We're a very low-key place. We love chatting with guests, but we also know that some guests really prefer their privacy. If you'd rather be in your quiet space by yourself, no problem! If, on the other hand, you'd like to chat about Deadwood history and play some cards with us, we're usually on board with that, too.

Other things to note
Full plated breakfast service in our formal dining room is included with your reservation. The menu is chef's choice and varies each day, but often includes fresh-baked sourdough bread. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or requests when you make your reservation.

The City of Deadwood doesn't allow our guests to park on the street, but there's a small private parking lot behind the inn. If your party has more than one vehicle, or if you have an oversize vehicle or trailer, please let us know when you book. We can direct you to a free public parking lot three blocks away with plenty of space.
