Enter the beautifully renovated home into a spacious foyer with seating. There is a full ceramic tiled bathroom (tub with shower) on this level. Spacious kitchen has eating area, a desk and walkout to a tree shaded deck . Walk down to a privacy fenced backyard with a concrete patio where you can lounge and enjoy your meal at the table for 4 and grass area with outdoor chairs. The long driveway extends into the backyard with room to park 1-2 vehicles within the fenced area, and 3 vehicles in the driveway outside the fence. Also street parking is available.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located just one mile south of I-80 this quaint studio cottage is perfect for a quiet, clean, and cozy stay. The Platte River is just a short walk from the cottage and it is situated on 10 acres- perfect for afternoon strolls and bird watching.

The space
This is a smaller studio cottage where everything you need inside is just a few steps away. Delightfully quaint we like to say! :) It is located 2 min off of exit 272 to Kearney. It is on a business property but there is acreage to explore and the river views are a short walk from the cottage. (Just mind the cactus!) If you book during the work week you will hear some trucks in and out. :)
There is a front porch to relax on, though your view is mostly of the yard and fence constructed for your privacy.
Also trucker friendly! We have easy in and out access and parking for semis and RV’s!

As is listed, please no pets.

Other things to note
The couch folds into a double bed so if bedding is needed for that, please let us know.

Also the bed is not accessible from the sides as it’s built in. So you must access it from the front as it shows in the picture. There is a step stool but it’s a crawl into bed so that may be an issue for some people. It’s a double and if you’re over 6’1” it may not be suitable for a good sleep.

The family home of great American novelist, Willa Cather! Cather's parents purchased this home in 1903, leaving behind their little rented home at Third and Cedar Streets where Cather had spent her formative years. Owned and operated by the Willa Cather Foundation, the house is a retreat for guests as it was for Willa Cather.

The space
Each guest bedroom has a comfortable chair for reading and relaxing, throw pillows, armoires or chests, and personal robes. A main level shared bathroom contains a pedestal sink and walk-in shower. An upper level shared bathroom is quite spacious and features a claw-foot tub with shower extension and a large vanity. An additional shared half-bath on the second floor is situated at the top of the stairs.

Guests are free to use our fully furnished kitchen, including dishes, flatware and cooking utensils. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, teas, and condiments. A self-serve continental breakfast is provided. Guests may also prepare their own meals and are encouraged to enjoy dining at the large quartersawn oak table, which seats 6-10 guests.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A peaceful guest cottage located on the outskirts of Omaha and set on 2 acres that is shared by the owner’s 100 year old farmhouse and barn, you will relax and recharge at this charming cottage. The cottage is located down a short gravel lane shared by the owners. When it rains hard in the Midwest you can expect to walk through puddles. In the winter, if we have a heavy snow it may take us a couple hours to clear the lane. Welcome to Omaha!

Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast has the perfect blend of numerous, comfortable gathering spaces indoors and out yet still having plenty of private spaces to be on your own. The space
Our 6 acre, secluded property boasts 150 year old pine trees, flower and water gardens. Guests will be able to enjoy the Whispering Pines main house with its patio, wrap around porch, common areas and four bedrooms as well as the Roost in the Barn, our fifth bedroom.

Also included in this spectacular space is an outdoor grill, 7-person hot tub and fire pit, parlor, dining room and den with games and movie library, and a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, two refrigerators and every gadget imaginable. You'll have plenty of cookware and dinnerware.
