Currently, because of the drought the lake is down 50%. This is a newly remodeled 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin. It has a kitchen that was made for cooking as it has plenty of counter and cabinet space and is open to the dinning and living room. It includes basic dishes and cookware in addition to a deep fat fryer, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. The dinning room has a picture window and a table that seats 6 and a bar counter that seats 3.

While dinner is cooking, you can watch your favorite DISH channels on the 52" flat screen TV in the living room. WIFI is also available. A queen sized bed is available in one bedroom, and a bunk bed that has a bottom that folds out into a full sized bed in the other room. The cabin will sleep 5. The full bathroom has plenty of shelving storage and a bathtub/shower.

The covered patio is right off of the front door and has a new grill with a picnic table. The back yard has a fire pit with bundles of wood available for purchase near by.

This cabin is near some of the best hunting and fishing areas in North America for whitetails, mulies, pheasant, duck, geese, wild turkey, walleye, white bass and wipers. Wildlife preserves, such as Clear Creek State Wildlife Management Area and Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge, and historical sites like Ash Hollow and Oregon Trail are only a short drive away. The 960 sf cabin accommodates four guests very comfortably. There is a 120 sf concrete covered porch at the front door of the cabin where you can relax in the big wicker chairs. The 250 sf deck outside the dining area patio door has a gas grill and an umbrella table with four chairs. You’ll be amazed at the bird watching and wildlife viewing opportunities from your vantage point on the deck. The big backyard is the perfect place for your yard games -- be sure to bring them along!

A cozy cabin sitting on 3/4 of a mile of Platte River ground & directly on the sandhill cranes’ main migration path. These birds will put you to bed at night and wake you up early as they decide to leave the roost and head out to the feeding areas for the day. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin with a large loft & sleeping area will comfortably sleep 7 adults.

- "This is a spectacular cabin that is right next to the Platte River with huge window views of the river flowing by. Thousands of cranes fly by and overhead in the evening seeking their spot for the night and they erupt in the morning from a nearby, more shallow waterway to head back to the corn fields to feed. It really is an incredible sight, and the warbling and trumpeting of the birds is a chorus of nature. The cabin is close to perfect, very well-equipped and comfortable. So well constructed that a day and night of heavy winds felt cozy, not drafty. Looking out over the river in either direction, you cannot see any other houses or structures. You’ve got this beautiful setting to yourself, along with the deer, eagles (saw two), wading birds and Canadian geese, and wild turkeys (saw many, including a LARGE tom turkey with about 25 hens). If you want to witness the Sandhill crane migration from a well appointed cabin/lodge, this really is the place. And viewing platforms at the Audubon refuge and roadside stops abound. 5 stars for sure! Also recommend Adam’s Corner Market in Gibbon for provisions and Rowe Sanctuary for “crane lessons” and a nice, affordable gift store."

Welcome to The Pepper Shed! This is a unique utility, used as a dog house for our family dog Pepper. It has a built-in living quarters located next to our family home located along the Cedar River. Beds are located in open loft upstairs and bathroom is located on the ground level. This is a rustic cabin directly across the street from Chadron State Park. The property also borders Nebraska National Forest where guest have access to hiking trails and public hunting.

Turkey and deer frequent the property often as well as an occasional visit from a rare bighorn sheep or elk.

We have a horseshoe set added as well as a Corn hole game :) Games inside for all ages . Plenty of folding chairs and tables if needed . This only has a one bathroom and to make sure guests have plenty of hot water we added another 40 gallon hot water tank to the 50 gallon already in. 90 gallons of hot water should help guests with showers back to back. We also have added SAND VOLLYBALL this year located at the end of Pinecone Beach parking .

Outdoor space includes: wrap around deck/balcony overlooking the yard and scenic pasture views; outdoor patio access outside or via basement walkout- features high top table and patio furniture with wood burning enclosed stove. There is a three stall garage for safely parking vehicles in case of storm. There is additional patio space in back of the garage for cornhole, grilling, and hanging out. Gas grill located in garage. Other things to note
At this time, the wrap around deck/porch is missing some railings and rungs due to age of home. The deck is overall safe to use but if you are bringing small children please be mindful of gaps until we can complete this next big project.

The space
Our Cabin features a full kitchen with two kitchen tables, and a bar with two bar stools. It is open concept to the living room with a 1/2 bath located on main level. The Master bed/bath are just off the kitchen and stairs that lead to our two bedrooms upstairs are just off the living room.

Pets: Pets are not allowed. Small non-shedding dogs are a case-by-case approval, please include fur-babies you would like to bring for consideration. Due to protecting those with allergies, please understand we are not trying to be negative. If you bring a pet without approval or permission, we will charge you a $200 extra cleaning fee.

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in or around the Cabin. Any debris or smell found in or near cabin will result in a $100 fee plus any damage to the property.

Gas Grill: We do provide a Gas Grill and guarantee a propane tank on site, however we do not guarantee the tank is full or the grill is always kept up. It is up to the guests to exchange the tank if they need to for operation and expect our guests to clean the grill after each use.

Please do not move furniture in Cabin. If you need to move something, please return it to the original position in the cabin.

Ensure all doors are locked before leaving the cabin, all remotes are put back. Please turn off all lights.

Toiletries': We do provide a few rolls of toilet paper and a roll of paper towels and a few trash bags. If you are staying for a longer period of time you may need to bring extra supplies.

Condiments: We have some condiments at the cabin that include a variety of spices, salt and pepper. We also provide complimentary coffee (K-Cups) in a variety of flavors. We have a coffee pot as well but do not always have ground coffee in the cabin.

We provide Linens for beds extra blow-up mattresses and pillows.

Towels and wash cloths are also provided. We ask that you do not remove makeup using the white washcloths, we have black ones provided. If you do use the white washcloths and they get stained, you will be required to replace them.

Please wash your dishes, bag trash up, & pull sheets off beds used and put by the washer & dryer before checkout. This cabin is located near the Crane Trust Nature & visitor center as well as just miles from Husker Harvest days, the Nebraska state fair, Fonner park, state trap shooting, & many other activities happening in the tri-cities area of Nebraska. The Sand hill Cranes visit this area & can be seen right outside the cabin at certain times of year (especially Feb, March, April). Other wildlife such as turkeys and deer also frequently visit! You can enjoy sitting in the sand on the banks of the river or kayaking, swimming or fishing depending on river levels. We do host hunters as well & can offer hunting packages for additional daily costs which includes more acres to hunt in addition to your nightly stay but Hunters must contact owner before booking. Another amenity we offer for an additional cost is meal packages of our home raised beef and farm fresh eggs. Ask for further details if interested.
