- "These are billed as cabins but only the setting is rustic. Up to date spacious rooms that are airy and light. Clearly designed for outdoor living, eating and relaxing spaces are outside but the bathroom and main room are large and comfortable. Secure as well. The cabins are a bit remote but the directions from the staff are clear, and although we never met in person they were very responsive. The only disturbance, was the train traffic about a mile away but only a problem for light sleepers. "

The space
This is a cabin that is secluded and private on 38 acres surrounded by trees. We live a quarter mile away and are available most of the time. There is cattle on the property limiting access to all 38 acres with hot wire fencing. Please message us for any questions or concerns. NOTE: there is no storm shelter on the property.
Guest access
You will have access of the entire cabin and the fenced in yard. There is a cattle guard at the entrance. You can go for a walk down the driveway or sit outside watching our beautiful Kansas sunsets. Enjoy our large screened in porch or BBQ outside on the patio. At this time, the inside fireplace is not available for use. Parking is available on the North side of the cabin.
Other things to note
We are pet friendly and ask that you never leave your pet unattended in the cabin unless they are in a crate. I would caution leaving a small pet outside chained up for long periods of time due to the possibility of wild animals like coyotes or hawks. There will be no smoking inside or outside on the property. For safety concerns, no firepits allowed on property.

Ember Ridge Lodge offers simple farm living and a comforting way of relaxing. Located in Olpe, Ks (12 Miles south of Emporia). Our 2br 1 bath lodge is 600 sq ft and features a fully functional kitchen. Our lodge is nested right off of blacktop down our shared private driveway. Sitting on our small family farm, you will have views of our Dexter cattle and chickens during your stay.

This property was built with a lot of love. We used barnwood trim from our ancestors 100 year old barn, and added several finishing touches/photos that remind us of what the farm used to look like many years ago when our grandparents lived here.

The Bunkhouse sleeps three.

It has a queen bed and a single bed, microwave, toaster, sink, mini-fridge, dining table, en suite toilet and shower, television, high speed internet, and pellet grill.

It is a nice, private get away in the heart of nature. If you enjoy kayaking, hunting, stargazing, bird watching or just enjoy getting away from it all, this is definitely the place for you.

While breakfast is not offered on site, we do have an agreement in town with the local cafe to provide breakfast during their operating hours for guests who may be staying with us.

The cabin isnt the only space available to guests! The Hill itself is comprised of 20 acres, devided by a large pond. Wildlife is also a regular sight on The Hill. Whitetail Deer, Beaver, Bobcats, Ducks and Geese have all been guests on The Hill and you might just see them during your stay.

Enjoy a campfire during your stay around the fire ring. Our guests are welcome to bring their own wood or purchase a bundle from us for $8.

Unfortunately, We are currently experiencing an overgrowth of lily pads on the North pond, which has crowded the pond and may make fishing difficult. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We offer cabins off of 69 highway in Pleasanton, KS, near 2 lakes! We offer nightly, weekly, and monthly rentals. Each cabin is approx 250 Sq ft. Enjoy all the perks of outdoor living with a cozy full size bed and mini-split (AC & heat) in our Mini A-Frame cabins. We like to call it “comfort camping”. Each Mini A also includes a fire pit with grill plate, picnic table and porch front seating. Your Mini A is located on the back side of the 21 acre Base Camp property just a short distance to the modern shower house, restrooms, pond, kayaks, canoes and biking. Base Camp hosts 3 other Mini A-frames, 3 lake front cabins as well as RV hook-ups.

The space
Fireside chats under starry skies, s’mores, paddling around the lake, bike rides, and hammock hangs. Turn in for the night and wake up rested, dry and without the mosquitoes buzzing. We like to call it comfort camping. Each Mini A is a small one room cabin with full size bed, A/C and heat. It also includes a fire pit with grill plate, picnic table and front porch seating.

Our Mini As are located on the back side of the 21 acre Base Camp property just a short distance to the brand new modern shower house and restrooms.

Your stay includes access to all of our amenities:
-Quarry pond where you can fish and use any of our kayaks and canoes
-Bicycles. Borrow any of our bikes located in the communal Bike Barn. Enjoy a ride on the 60 mile South Wind Trail or ride into town to explore more of Humboldt. We also have a bike skills course located at the front of the property perfect for beginners and experienced riders alike.
-Wifi access in the Bike Barn.

Things to know:
-Basecamp is trying to become a vehicle free property. After parking in our new parking lot, you’ll find wagons to help get your things to your Mini A.
-Be sure to bring bedding for your full size bed and any towels you may need for the bath house. Toilet paper is provided.
- Please also bring everything you would as if you were going camping. The only difference between staying in our Mini As and camping is the shelter, bed and AC/heat. You'll need to bring everything else.
-Your first fire is on us! Firewood will be waiting for you at your Mini A. If you need more, there is firewood close by for $5 a bundle.
-Picnic tables, fire pits and hammocks are located all throughout the property for your convenience.
-Wifi is not available in your cabin, but in the Bike Barn.

Mini-A Frame Deveau is located on the 21-acre Base Camp property in Humboldt, KS. Spend your time around the property fishing, kayaking, biking or relaxing. Or take a very short car ride (or bike ride) into town where you'll find great coffee, breakfast and lunch (Wednesday-Sunday), the sweetest French candy shop, a local micro-brewery and the coolest local honky tonk around.

Other things to note
Mini-A Deveau sleeps a MAXIMUM number of 2 people. Please do not bring additional guests as there is not room in the cabin. If you need additional sleeping arrangements for your party we do have 2 more mini-As on AirBNB:

Located only one mile south from historic Yates Center, Kansas Square, within 30 minutes of three state parks and two city lakes. This bunkhouse is perfect for being close to town but experiencing the country life.

This sits close and on the same property to the Lodge of South Owl, our other Airbnb, which are both down a dead-end road.

Newly done 400 square feet bunkhouse that has two lofts with ladder stairs, twin bed downstairs, and a sleeper sofa (don't worry, it has a new memory foam mattress and support board to maximize comfort).

Donnie's Cabin is located just a few minutes from Cherryvale, KS and about a mile from Big Hill Lake.

You dont need an RV or tent, we have you set up for your family getaway or hunting/fishing trip.

The cabin is open floor plan living room and kitchen with twin beds set up that can accommodate up to 6 people. It has a full kitchen w/full length bar, 2 full baths, laundry area with a large yard and fire pit.

Take it easy at this hidden jewel and tranquil getaway. On top of a hill that you see nothing but nature and the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Cabin Chesini is located on the 21-acre Base Camp property in Humboldt, KS. Spend your time around the property fishing, kayaking, biking or relaxing. Or take a very short car ride or (bike ride) into town where you'll find great coffee, breakfast and lunch (Wednesday-Sunday), the sweetest French candy shop, a local micro-brewery and the coolest local honky tonk around.

The space
Disconnect from the stresses of life as you turn from the paved street onto our rustic gravel/dirt road. You will find the “Little Apple” A-Frame set back from the road with a spacious driveway area for plenty of parking. Enter the front door and discover a home that flows wonderfully with thoughtfully appointed updates and finishes.

As you come in the front door you will be greeted with a cozy sitting area to the right complete with an armchair and leather sofa. To the left sits a bar top area with two stools and an intimate dining table for two. These spaces make for the perfect setting to enjoy socializing while someone prepares beverages or a meal.

Enjoy the fun, retro themed appliances as you step into the fully equipped kitchen. On your right sits a coffee bar with the option for regular coffee or K-cups (included). We also provide you with a s’mores kit – sure to be a hit at the evening fire pit! The kitchen contains all the essentials such that you can prepare a homemade meal if desired. Additional features include:

Behind the coffee bar a set of stairs lead to the private top floor bedroom and deck. Guests looking for romance in a private setting away from the kids will find that this room provides just that. Enjoy an evening glass of wine with your significant other on the private deck while taking in lake views and starry night skies. The back deck area features a comfy outdoor sectional for lounging and a propane fire pit to help set the mood.

Back inside, the bedroom includes a queen bed with premium memory foam mattress and lengthy desk for getting any needed work done. A curated reading collection sits on the desk with works covering such topics as Kansas history, A-Frame living, camping essentials, and classics.

Back downstairs, as you continue through the kitchen you will enter a short hallway where you will see the downstairs bedroom on your right and the bathroom on your left.

The downstairs bedroom provides a cozy space with queen bed (also with premium memory foam mattress), Roku TV (bring your own login and enjoy any app!), and plenty of space for hanging clothing. The designer light fixture and natural wood ceiling with white walls combine to deliver a space that you will not want to leave!

The bathroom offers plenty of privacy in a newly updated setting. Enjoy experiencing the claw foot tub for a relaxing shower or bath. We offer premium bath and shower products to our guests from Public Goods, an eco-friendly and health-conscious company, including hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

The end of the hallway opens to the enticing main living area – a thoughtfully designed space that combines elements of purpose, fun, and socialization. The love seat and chair allow guests to gather around the coffee table and enjoy conversation by the warming electric fireplace. Another Roku enabled TV is also provided with an added sound system for an enhanced movie night experience.

The game area includes a foosball table, record player w/records, games, and guitar. Whether listening to a classic album (we’ve got something for everyone!), strumming out a few chords, or playing a game of table soccer you will surely find laughs and make memories. A sliding glass door and windows provide plenty of natural light.

As you open the sliding glass door and step out onto the downstairs deck you will be greeted by one of the best features at Little Apple – the hot tub! Our hot tub comfortably seats 4+ and makes for the perfect way to unwind while taking in the star lit evening sky. Additionally, to the right on the deck sits a dining area for guests hoping to enjoy an outdoor meal.

A short staircase leads to the yard area where a wood burning firepit sits surrounded by four Adirondack chairs and a near by a corn hole game. Here again, we have provided a space for relaxing in intimate and fun conversation while unplugging from the stresses of life.

Our community provides a few extras that guests are welcome to use. Disc golf and a community dock on the lake are fun features to round out your experience. We provide a disc golf kit for guests’ enjoyment.

✹ ADDITIONAL GUEST COST: The base price is set for 2 guests. There is an extra charge of $20 per additional guest per night. Up to 4 total guests total - including children.

✹ PETS: A maximum of three pets are permitted. The Pet fee is $100 for the first pet, $75 for the second pet, and $50 for the third pet. If you bring 2 or 3 pets, let us know, as we will have to send a request to pay those fees. Please note that pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. Additional cleaning fees will be imposed if pets have been allowed on furniture or beds.

You will have access to the entire home except for 2 small, locked owners cabinets. A lockbox with key is on the unit and the code is provided in your check in email.

Other things to note
There are minimal stairs to get into the main level of the home. Due to the uniqueness of A-frame construction the upstairs is accessible by a relatively steep staircase. Guests with small children will appreciate that the stairs are tucked behind the coffee bar and therefore not usually a focus of attention to little ones.

☆☆ BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS ☆☆

The property has two pods (cabins) located right next to each other, that are rented out together. The main, larger pod has two bedrooms each with a large en-suite bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed with a loft bunk bed above it. This is suitable for a child or teen up to 120lb.

The Annex is the smaller pod with two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a small en-suite bathroom.

In total, the property can sleep up to 8 adults and 1 additional child or teen up to 120lb.

The main cabin boasts the open-concept with elevated slanted ceilings and a clear view of the forest and lakes. The high-end kitchen and dining area offer plenty of room to comfortably host group dinners and are outfitted with all the cookware, dishes, utensils, dishwasher pods, and appliances you will need to prepare delicious meals. The textured granite island can seat up to four, and there are also four seats available at the tulip dinning table.

The living area in the main cabin is warm and welcoming, centered around a wood-burning stove that adds to the cozy, off-grid ambiance. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light and frame stunning views of the forest and lake. Sink into plush seating, gather around the fire, or enjoy a movie night on the large flat-screen TV.

In the Annex cabin, the lounge offers a more intimate setting with a stylish leather daybed, a smaller bar area, and seating around a chic tulip table. It’s the perfect space for a quiet morning coffee, an evening drink, or a relaxed conversation.

The outdoor spaces at the Butterfly Pods are designed for relaxation, adventure, and connecting with nature. Wrap-around decks extend from the cabins, offering multiple spots to take in the stunning surroundings. While swaying in the in-deck hammocks, sipping your morning coffee, or gathering for sunset drinks, the decks provide the perfect vantage point.

The solar-heated seasonal pool and wood-fired hot tub offer a rejuvenating escape. Take a dip during the day or soak under the stars for the ultimate off-grid indulgence. Down by the water, the private fishing dock invites you to cast a line or simply sit back and enjoy the peaceful lake views. For those looking to explore, grab one of our kayaks or the paddle board and venture out onto the lake for a tranquil paddle surrounded by nature.

For cozy evenings, the fire pit is the perfect gathering spot, surrounded by classic Adirondack chairs. Roast marshmallows, share stories, or just enjoy the crackling fire under the starry night sky. An outdoor lounge set, dining table and weber charcoal grill provide the ideal setup for al fresco meals, whether it’s a casual breakfast or a long, lingering dinner with friends and family.

Guest access
You will have private access to the entire 5-acre property and both pods (cabins) for the duration of your stay, including the pool, hot tub, multiple living areas, full kitchen, and outdoor spaces. The lake pond is semi-private but it is rare that anyone else is using it.

There is free parking available in the driveway.

Detailed address and driving directions are provided before your arrival date. There is a lockbox with keys to enter the gated property and pods themselves.

Other things to note
We're excited to offer you a peaceful retreat immersed in the great outdoors. By being mindful of our off-grid resources, you’ll help ensure a smooth, eco-conscious experience that benefits both you and the environment.

The pods are equipped with energy-efficient mini splits for heating and cooling, supported by triple-glazed windows and insulated walls that help retain comfortable temperatures year-round. In summer, the system maintains 72–78°F indoors even on ~95°F days. In spring and fall, little climate control is needed, and in winter, the pods stay cozy at ~70°F when it's ~40°F outside. Using the indoor fireplace can warm them up further.

Our remotely managed off-grid pool is a refreshing spot to cool off, and we work hard to keep it clean. The unusually heavy rains this summer have made it challenging to control, so water clarity may vary slightly during your stay.

We ask guests to not bring any electrical appliances. Our power supply is carefully balanced for off-grid living, and additional appliances (e.g. hair dryers, griddles) can overload the system.

We provide Starlink satellite Wi-Fi, which is great for checking emails, light browsing and streaming. As we're fully off-grid in very a rural, wooded location, the connection can be inconsistent, especially for video calls. We recommend downloading any desired entertainment or work files ahead of time and embracing the chance to disconnect, slow down and enjoy nature while you're here.
