We will be adhering to the following cleaning guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19

- Rooms will be ventilated before they are cleaned.

- Fresh air will circulate for at least 20 minutes.

- The cleaning crew will wash their hands thoroughly before and after each cleaning.

- The cleaning crew will wear disposable gloves while they clean. Gloves will be thrown out after each cleaning.

- The cleaning crew will clean first, then disinfect.

- All linens will be washed at the highest heat setting recommended by the

~Rustic, waterless, composting toilet, very easy to use and does not smell

*Please note: Climbing in and out of the loft bed on the ladder requires some agility and balance. Make sure you look at the pictures and decide if you are ok with the loft. If not the kids will love it, and you can sleep on the pull out bed

We love pets! Small pets are ok, as long as they can be around the Goats and Chickens and not stress them out. We ask you keep them out of the loft area and pick up extra shedding. We only charge $15. Please add them as a 3rd guest.

*********For those interested in staying in the tiny house in October-April, the water is fed to the house via a hose and once it starts to freeze then we close up the house for the winter, its just to hard to keep heated and water in the tiny house in the winter.****************

Our house is just up our private road from the tiny house so unless you want us we will not be bothering you.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our 1 person cabin is the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and enjoy nature. Although you are "in the woods," you will be centrally located between our Retreat Center and the Platte River. Our property is 25 acres with walking trails, a private 5 acres lake with paddle boats and kayaks for your use, and beautiful sitting areas throughout. If you want the great outdoors of camping without any roughing it, this is your place!

The space
Your private cabin for 1 has a twin sized bed, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. It is equipped with towels, linens, dishes and cooking supplies. Just outside you will find a private firepit, bench/table and a hammock.
You are a very short walk to the Platte river as well as our lake w/ beach area including kayaks/paddle boats/paddle boards. You are also only a few minute walk to a larger shared firepit area, a gazebo and prayer labyrinth.

Guest access
Our only parking area in in front of the main lodge. So you will NOT be able to park by your cabin. We will meet you at the main lodge for check in and deliver you and your items out to your cabin on our golf cart. It is not a far walk from your cabin to the main lodge/your car, so you will still easily be able to come and go as needed during your stay. It is about a 3 min walk.

Welcome to a home away from home, conveniently located in the "backyard" of Omaha! All of our guests have full access to the entire home, located on a large corner lot in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Less than 30 minutes from downtown (think Omaha Zoo, Century Link Center, etc.). Less than 20 minutes from I-80 and popular Omaha neighborhoods like Aksarben Village, and Midtown Crossing are only 15-20 minutes away. Only blocks away from some of the best restaurants around as well!

The space
This home is unique because it is specially set up for short term rentals in mind. Games, books, toys, dishes, linens, the list goes on and on! We have all new furniture, as well! If you need it , we most likely have it for you. And if we don't, just ask! We want to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire home and backyard. This includes a backyard fire-pit, grill, along with two cable televisions.

Other things to note
This home has an electric heating/cooling system, controlled by a thermostat. If there is ever a question with how the heat works, please contact us and we can help you out. You will find that it is comfortable because heat can be regulated for personal preference. There is also a fireplace that can be used if you want to make it even more cozy! Appliances include microwave, toaster, cook stove with double ovens, dishwasher, and keurig, along with a blender.
I also just purchased (December, 2024) a new queen size bed for the master bedroom.

It is ready for you with all linens, towels, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, cookware, toaster, full fridge, microwave, crockpot, pans, "hot plate"/ plug in double burner, cooking grate for firepit, Keurig coffee maker and tea pot.

Guest access
Our only parking area is in front of the main lodge. You will NOT be able to park right next to your cabin. We will meet you at the main lodge for check in and transport you and all your luggage to the cabin on our golf cart. It is only a short, less then 2 minute walk from your cabin to your car, so you will be able to easily come and go as needed during your stay. And we are happy to help to transport you and your belongings back to your car when you are ready to checkout.
