- "We LOVED our time at your cabin. It was perfect for us, the location, the views, the beds, amenities, the community atmosphere, everything. Being from Texas, the reprieve from the brutal summer heat was just what we needed. Getting to know Michigan was delightful. We are already talking about coming back next summer…maybe even find a way to stay longer. We’re not even to the airport to return home and we already miss it. Thank you for this sweet refuge of a place. ♥️"

*We have opted to offer Damage Insurance at the cost of $55 for your stay in lieu of a refundable security deposit. It will be listed under fees as "Damage Insurance".
*WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER*
Coming to beautiful Northern Michigan includes the possibility of wildlife encounters. We have midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies and an assortment of other insects. We spray regularly to keep them at a manageble level but we also don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem here. Note that where there is water, there will be spiders. They are very industrious and can build back a knocked down web within a day!
They are also great for controlling mosquitos and wasps, which we appreciate.
We treasure the wildness of the North and perhaps that is what attracts you.
Consider yourself lucky if you catch a glimpse of any of our other wild neighbors - black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine, skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.
We ask you to consider this before booking one of our cottages or cabins.
The presence of wildlife is part of the experience here and does not warrant a refund.
- "Property was perfect for my wife and I. Gorgeous views of Lake Huron and the bridge. Hosts had a lot of helpful suggestions and the homemade cookies were delicious. Location had easy access to Mackinaw City and the bridge to St Ignace and to ferry boats to Mackinaw Island." - "We loved our stay here! The view was great and the location was perfect." - "Enjoyed my mornings and evenings, looking out at the view with my beverage of choice. This was a central location to visit many areas in northern Michigan and the UP. The owners were very friendly and informational. The cottage was clean and comfortable and whatever you needed was nearby but you felt like you were very secluded because of the location near the lake. We definitely have this one on our list of favorites."

- "My son and his friends enjoyed this vacation! They made memories they will never forget. It was the perfect location!" - "This is a very nice place to stay, clean, quiet, beautiful setting, very peaceful with plenty of space and trees. I would stay here again. Thank you Calvin and Carol." - "This cottage was perfect for what we needed! Our daughter had a softball tournament in Cheboygan. The place was very clean and cute! Bathroom was very nicely updated. It’s a retro mobile home that’s updated. Perfect spot right on the river. The owners were amazing and have the house right behind the cottage. Great people. The neighbors on the other side were quiet. We were told by the owners that the neighbors aren’t very dog friendly. The lot is smaller so just keep that in mind if you bring your dog. You have to make sure that they stay on the cottage property. Also, if you plan on fishing right there it’s very shallow so no fish right at the cabin. The lake and dam aren’t very far away so you can go fishing there. We didn’t have time to use the kayaks but they were there and very nice. Bring sheets and towels, as those aren’t provided. Highly recommend this place for a nice get away!!"

- "Great weekend with the kids. They had a blast fishing almost non-stop. Each child caught at least one fish. Terry, or his son, was kind enough to show my grandson how to properly filet a fish, which was much appreciated. The reason I gave only 4 starts for accuracy of the online listing, is the swimming area was not very nice. There is a lot of seaweed that comes very close to shore, so the area for swimming was very small. Three of the four kids got in anyway and had a good time with the lily pad. Overall I'd definitely recommend this spot."

- "We had an amazing time in Cheboygan!! Excellent communication and had what we needed when we needed it!" - "It was a wonderful cabin for a weekend getaway for my friends and I. Our dog also came and had a good yard to run around in! The cabin had a game room, kayaks, a cute creek right behind the house, and a bonfire pit. The cabin itself was very clean. The kitchen was a huge plus for us bc we all love to cook! It had all your basics - pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, cooking utensils, microwave, and coffee maker. The cabin was in a nice and quiet area. Just about 5-10 minutes away from a couple state parks with beaches. Brandon was very communicative and friendly! Whenever i had a question, he would respond within a couple of minutes. He had an a/c put it during our stay as well! 10/10 would recommend!"

- "We enjoy our time at this property very much. The place is lovely, the view is gorgeous, nice and quiet. Communication was excellent. " - "Such a beautiful view!! Very nice cabin and so clean!!" - "A great place to stay and rejuvenate" - "The location is incredible. Couldn't ask for a better location. The winds, the trees, the sounds of the water, phenomenal! The downsides were that the bathroom toilet is fisher price toddler size. Besides being infant sized, it has a mind of its own when it wants to flush (even number 1) fully. Sometimes it fills the bowl with clean water after it decides to completely flush. Other times, it only replaces the water in the bowl with half fresh water, and leaves behind toilet paper. Yes, this is nightmarish when you have to actually "use the bathroom" more than just number 1. You seriously don't know if it will flush or not. Repeated flushes did seem to help. When using the kitchen sink, I banged my head very hard on the kitchen cabinet, as it is right in the way at head level for someone who is 6 feet tall. Other than the toilet issues, kitchen cabinets at face level, and the multiple spiders we killed because someone simply hasn't sprayed, the stay was nice. The location is terrific! We still enjoyed it immensely!"
