It is no secret that Drummond Island is 'The Gem of the North'. This is truly God's Country. The peace and serenity will have you longing for a return visit to our outdoor paradise.

From the moment you enter our cozy cabin, you'll feel relaxed. The knotty pine, the cozy fireplace, and the log furniture give the cabin it's rustic appeal. Do not be surprised when you look up into the open ceiling and find wildlife mounted on the log beams.

We are located on Potagannising Bay, one of the best fishing areas around. If you bring your boat it can be docked right in front of the property. If you would like to rent a pontoon boat (in town) you can go exploring other Islands, hiking the shoreline, and collecting rocks. We have a large deck overlooking the Bay and a screen in porch for enjoying the views. It's all up to you - this is your vacation.

The Island is located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and is approximately an hour's drive from the Mackinac Bridge. It is accessible by car, plane or boat. The adventure starts with a Ferry ride over to the Island.

- "We've stayed here at least 3 different times. We love the view, beautiful sunsets. The cabin did have dog pee smell when we arrived. I did buy some pet stain stuff and cleaned up the obvious stains. We had just camped the week prior, so it was great to have a cabin after living on the beach. We appreciated the dock repairs. It was not in the best shape last year but now it feels safe to dock our fishing boat & had a separate small platform to fish from. The satellite TV worked well to watch the all star game. The kitchen had all we needed & we used the grill for meals. The bathroom with laundry was great to have. Beds were comfy, which may be an upgrade too. Many nights were spent by the campfire. Many deer, muskrats, geese and frogs to see & hear. We did some 4-wheeling on the trails in our jeep or boating to harbor island by day. We hope to come back again next summer. Thanks again!"

Rent the entire island with two cabins to call your own! Howard Island is a two-acre, family-owned island, located just north of Drummond Island in the Potagannissing Bay, Lake Huron. It is one of the many beautiful islands that dot the bay. Howard Island is heavily wooded with Cedar trees, has puddingstone-dotted rocky shores (bring your watershoes!) and offers 360 degrees of breathtaking views. This kind of quiet, relaxation is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
The entire dock area has been replaced and upgraded as of May 2021 with shore power and water for your boat. We have also upgraded the water system and added a washer/dryer unit in the main cabin. It is a perfect home base for adventures or to hide from the world for a bit! Rent a boat from Yacht Haven or bring your own to get to and from Howard Island, along with cruising the beautiful bay. Harbor Island National Wildlife Refuge is just a hop-skip away for hiking and swimming!

Large windows throughout the main floor allows you to soak up the beauty that surrounds this home. We’re excited to share our lakefront cabin with you! Enjoy some of the best views that the Potagannising Bay has to offer. Relax on the wrap-around deck while viewing the water and it’s wildlife, sport fish the bay and many island shorelines, as well as experience some of the most amazing sunsets! Enjoy the lake during the day and end each night with a bonfire under the North’s best starlit nights.

The island is also a Jeep / ORV destination. Multiple trails and routes provide days of fun, sun, dust or mud!

The main floor consists of the living room, dining/kitchen area, (2) private bedrooms (one full bed in ea.), full bathroom and separate laundry room; overall you have all the space you need.

The upstairs loft sleeps 7 socially with(3) Queens and (1) Single bed.

The covered deck faces the lake as well as wraps around the side and back. It has a gas grill, outdoor picnic table, and outdoor seating to relax in.

Spend time sunning on the dock. Bring your boat to enjoy the waters around this fisherman's paradise.

Wi-Fi / streaming is provided and cell phone reception can be questionable. A landline is active if needed.

Big Bear is a Finnish built cabin that overlooks a beautiful marsh - the perfect setting for wildlife viewing and for hitting the trails in your SxS or ATV! Cranes, geese, deer and bear are common visitors. This two story home features 2 bedrooms and sleeps 8* comfortably. The main floor has the unique charm of the original Finnish cabin with a stone bread oven in the living room (not for use by renters). Historical artifacts from years past adorn the living room and dining room. Also on the main floor is a fully appointed kitchen along with the second full guest bathroom with shower. This little cottage is your destination treasure. It is a cozy home situated on a quiet Lake Huron bay on the south side of the Drummond Island. It is just a short ten minute drive from the ferry and another ten minutes to the Four Corners area of the island. You have breathtaking views of Lake Huron, Bootjack Island and Espanore Island. And don’t be surprised by the number of freighters that you will see cruise by. There are beautiful water views from both inside and out.

The space
Situated on a quiet Lake Huron bay on the south side of the island, this cozy home has 2 bedrooms (with queen sized beds), one bathroom and open concept kitchen, dining and living room space. The pull-out couch also offers an additional queen-sized bed. (Sleeps a total of 6) But the real appeal is the great outdoors surrounding! There is a large sliding door in the living room area that leads onto a spacious deck. You have breathtaking views of Lake Huron, Bootjack Island and Espanore Island. And don’t be surprised by the number of freighters that you will see cruise by. There are beautiful water views from both inside and out. We provide four kayaks (and life jackets) for our renter’s use. Depending on the changing water levels, water shoes are recommended for swimming.

Drummond Island is called the "Gem of the Huron" with good reason. It is a beautiful, northern escape. It is accessible only by car ferry and once you get here there are limited restaurants, gas stations, stores, etc. So it's best to have everything that you need when you arrive! But if you love, fishing, kayaking, hiking, Jeeping, 4 wheeling and other outdoor adventures.....this is the place for you!

Guest access
The entire cottage is yours to use and access to the cottage is by coded smart lock. The code will be sent to you to day before your arrival.

Other things to note
The kitchen is fully functioning with pots, pans, coffee maker, etc. And we highly recommend your first cup on the deck watching the ducks, geese and loons start their morning! There is not a dishwasher, but it’s hard to be bothered by doing dishes when you are looking out onto the lake while washing.

The cottage is “self-concierge” in that it is self check in and we will provide starter paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins) dish soap and hand soap. This may or may not be sufficient for your stay, so you are welcome to bring any desired additional products with you.

Located within Turtle Ridge Off Road Park. This log cabin features a bunk room with 4 queen and 2 twin beds. Amenities include a propane heater, wood fire cook stove, refrigerator, dishes, and a dining table. The cabin's rustic charm with handmade cabinets and lazy boy chairs. Restroom facilities are outdoor outhouses. Lighting powered by a 110v solar system, with running water only available at the kitchen sink. Please note, this cabin does not have a shower or A/C. Sleeps up to 10 guests.

The space
The Turtle Ridge Off The Grid Lodge is furnished and ready for your camp adventure with a propane heater, wood fire cook stove in the kitchen with handmade cabinets, propane gas refrigerator, dishes, large wood table for 8, lazy boy chairs and full of rustic charm.

Restroom facilities are located in an outdoor outhouse. Unit does not have a shower. Electricity for lighting is provided by a 110v solar power system. Running water only services the kitchen sink.

Guests enjoy the many activities of Drummond Island Resort including skeet shooting, paintball, golf simulator, putt putt golf, a 24 hour sauna, restaurants and bars.

This beautiful newly refinished log home is located within Drummond Island Resort & Conference Center. This home has 2 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms and sleeps 8.

The space
This beautiful newly refinished log home is located within Drummond Island Resort & Conference Center on East Timber Trail Drive. Quiet interior roads that are great for exploring by bicycle, walking or runs. This home sits on a small “beaver” pond at the front of the house. This 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom open concept home has vaulted wood ceilings, a fireplace and large sliders that access an expansive covered porch that features a log king post truss design. This quiet setting at the pond gives way to viewing wildlife from the home and porch. There is a large firepit and charcoal grill just off the porch. The galley style kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need to prepare your meals. The bar peninsula has seating for guests plus there is a beautiful dining area with a custom table. There is a washer and dryer in this home.

The downstairs Master has an ensuite, a jacuzzi tub and features a queen log bed. The upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds and ensuite. The living room sofa pulls out to accommodate 2 more. This home will comfortably sleep 8. If you need room for a couple more guests Hermitage Cottage is just a stones throw away and sleeps 2.

Resort comforts include: 2 restaurants, a fantastic golf course, a sporting clays course, tennis courts, a pool and beach.

This home does NOT accept pets.

Ideal for families and groups, the East wing offers a spacious waterfront unit with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It features a living room with a dining table, kitchenette, outdoor charcoal grill, and picnic tables. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The remaining 4 bedrooms each have full-size bunk beds (one room has two sets). This cabin Accommodates up to 18 guests. Please note, this cabin does not have A/C.

Newly built in 2000, this gorgeous vacation home comfortably accomadates up to 7 people. Three bedrooms with two full baths. A massive stone fireplace sets the tone for the tastefully decorated living area, featuring a separate dining area and a complete kitchen. A screen porch overlooks the beach. The log home includes WIFI, Sat. TV, 200 movies. NOTE: This home rents by the week in the summer season, Sunday to Sunday. Two-night minimum the remainder of the year.

The space
The log home rents Sunday TO Sunday IN THE SUMMER. A ONE WEEK MINIMUM IS REQUIRED DURING THE SUMMER. There is a two-night minimum in the Off-Season. The Prime Season runs from Mid-June to Mid-Sept. There is a five-night minimum for the Drummond Island Festival, which is the second weekend of October. There is a three-night minimum for Memorial Day Weekend, and for Thanksgiving.
