- "When we arrived we had to text to obtain the code which took a while, we found the sliding door was unlocked before the code was sent. When you flushed the toilet a gurgling sound came out of the kitchen sink and it smelled like sewer. Kitchen sink took forever to drain, many windows without screens and the sliding door did not lock nor did it have a screen. - "Very cute place, nicely decorated. Very clean except couch was sandy so was the bed. We stayed in #9. The porch is unsafe. Very small you can step off the side or front on either side of steps, if you are not careful. You cannot see the lake from #9. You can walk out down a small sidewalk, onto the sand, then down to the lake. Very peaceful by the water. #9 is close to the main road US23. With the door open and screen closed. The traffic was loud. If I stay again I will ask for front place facing the lake."

- "We booked this 4 day staycation for my youngest's birthday, so it was my Husband, two kids (9yr & 7yr), and myself. I'm so grateful to the owners tips with the driving directions, as we did in fact pass the cabins and turned back around. The lot isn't huge, but we still found a spot easily, and the walk to our cabin (we stayed in cabin #10 with the deck, definitely recommend the deck!) was short and quick. The cabin itself does have some wear and tear, a bit of siding damage, outdated electrical, small plumbing and floor issues...but IT'S A WATERFRONT BEACH HOUSE! Of course there's wear and tear. I found the staff did a great job at keeping things clean. The cabin is very cozy, I think 4 people may have been it's limit, and I got a good laugh squeezing into the small standing shower (for reference I'm only 5'5" tall, and I bumped my elbows, also my yoga came in very handy when attempting to shave lol). But it has great hot water. My kids came in for a quick shower after every swim session, and we never once ran out. The view here is absolutely incredible, honestly breath taking. So who cares if the cabin is on the smaller side, you should honestly be outside enjoying the beauty of this private beach. Visitors were in other nearby cabins, but everyone was respectful and kind. There was a small, open, central storage area with beach toys and chairs to share. I could go on and on about this cabin, but recommend you check it out yourself instead, I promise you won't regret it."

Things to take into consideration:

Being by the water is a beautiful experience, but it may come with outdoor bugs. Pack your bug spray in the warmer months!

The Great Lakes have a midge surge each year for about a week in late spring. While annoying, they are a sign of a healthy lake and are harmless non-biters!
Guest access
You will have access to the two bedrooms, kitchen, full bathroom, and half bath with washer/dryer. There is one locked room that is not available for guests. Outside of the living space you can enjoy yourself in the studio/game room and spend some time outside in the spacious back yard with fire pit and a patio.

Other things to note:

Our home away from home is child friendly. we have a baby monitor and pack and play for your use. We also have a variety of board games and cards.

There are three heating sources available. In the living room, there is a wall furnace, the master bedroom has an electric fireplace, and the bathroom and kitchen have controls on the wall for single room heat registers. The listed bedroom upstairs is heated perfectly by the living room furnace.

We will provide 3 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, two paper towel rolls for the kitchen, and a couple of boxes of tissue.
