The cabin includes all linens, paper products (tt paper, towels) pot & pans, basic soaps, shampoo, & basic spices are included along with coffee/creamer. Outside (summer months) offers a BBQ grill, picnic table, fire pit, outdoor chairs, porch bench & large driveway. We also offer wifi with a 50" smart tv that you can access Netflix or your other streaming accounts. Sunrise Cove is conveniently located near hiking & snowmobiling trails. fishing, canoeing, cross-country skiing, local restaurants, stores, gas & much more.

This cabin is my personal 3rd generation place. We have personal pictures of family memories. This is a rustic cabin with personal items. Many rentals are like hotel rooms - this is not . If you wish to rent a place that is only a rental on the lake, this is not it! It will not be perfect - toys from 3 generation are on display there. Most people love it! I don’t want you to rent my place and then complain because it’s not sterile enough. There are many renters who think it’s wonderful and try to return. If you are picky or finiky, wanting brand new towels and nothing personal left in our cabin, then please‼️ rent another Cabin‼️ We do not want another bad review because they expected differently or didn’t read the description. We very seriously considered discontinuing renting because of the 1 bad review. If this makes you think twice, then please go to another rental‼️ This cabin rents quickly so leave the opportunity to others who will appreciate it ‼️

Listing Information:
Lady Slipper Lake House is only 500 feet from Higgins Lake! We share a seasonal dock with other owners on Lady Slipper Lane, but no overnight moorage is allowed. In the summer you can use the dock to access the lake to swim, fish, and other water based activities. In the evening, fire up the gas grill, grab a glass of wine and enjoy a campfire in the backyard with our fire pit, six adirondack chairs and picnic table. In the winter, it is just a stone's throw away to enjoy ice fishing and snowmobiling on Higgins Lake.

Lady Slipper Lake House is located 2 miles from South Higgins Lake State Park where you can launch your boat in the summer and 1.8 miles from the Cross Country Ski Headquarters from wintertime cross country skiing. We are located an hour and a half from Mackinaw City and Harbor Springs, the start of Michigan's "Tunnel of Trees". It's only a few minutes to state land for hunting, or to enjoy hiking trails around Marl Lake. Within a 30 minute drive you can reach the beautiful old growth forest of Hartwick Pines State Park, and as well as world class trout fishing on the Ausable River. Boyne Mountain resort for winter skiing and tubing is one hour away as well.

There are two bedrooms and and one full bathroom (shower only). We can accomodate 6 guests with one queen bed, one full bed, and two twin beds. The bedrooms were just renovated and one bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds and a full size bed. If you need to work remotely there is also a desk in the bedroom with the queen bed. The house is cooled in the summer by window units (living room and bedrooms) and heated in the winter by a forced air furnace. Additionally, there are wall heaters in the bedrooms to make sure you are warm and cozy on cold Michigan winter nights.

Pets are welcome for a fee, but you must include them in the VRBO reservation.

We offer free Wi-Fi to our guests and a smart television so that you can access your Netflix or other streaming accounts. Live TV is available through our smart TV's "Youtube TV”app.

The kitchen is stocked with dishes, glassware, pots/pans, silverware, dishtowels, dish soap, sponges, paper towels, and various cleaning supplies. Toilet paper, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, towels, and washcloths are also provided. As an extra convenience, we offer a complimentary coffee and tea bar.

Went to Cut River Grille the first night, had the best grinders, you can split a half with someone. I don’t have to say anymore, many of the reviews were spot on. I would rent this property again."

This rental has two bedrooms and one full bathroom and can accommodate up to 6 guests. The fully-equipped kitchen features a microwave, a dishwasher, utensils, and dishware. The comfortable living area features cozy sofas, a fireplace, and smart televisions..

Outside, guests will find a beautiful deck with furniture, perfect for unwinding and watching the sunset over the lake and trees. Guests will also find a natural gas BBQ grill – this is a high-quality grill that will suit all your BBQ needs. There is also a fire pit that is shared with the "Master's Inn cabin."

This rental is furnished with cozy and comfortable furniture to ensure a lovely vacation stay for all to enjoy. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with all the necessities needed for an enjoyable stay, including a dining table for the whole group to sit around.

For extra warmth and ambiance in the colder months, there is a natural gas fireplace. In the living area, there is a cable TV with a DVD player. We also have kayaks and a canoe available for your use completely free of charge. There are two locations to launch your boat or pontoon within two miles of the cabin, the Public Access and North Higgins Lake State Park. You can moor your watercraft in front of the property using a "screw in type anchor."

This gorgeous site is in Roscommon, Michigan, and is surrounded by nature and woodland. Lake Higgins is right on the site's doorstep and is known for its deep and clear water that is perfect for fishing and swimming. Higgins Lake State Park is just a few minutes from the rental and is the ideal place for guests to explore the surrounding area. The Silver Dollar Restaurant/Bar is a short walk from the property if you'd like to "hit the town" for some food and drinks and not worry about driving.

While in Roscommon, guests are encouraged to visit the different sights on offer, including the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum, the Cross Country Ski Headquarters, and Campbell's Canoe Livery, where guests can rent kayaks and take them out on the lake for a fun day on the water or a fun float down the Ausable River. Roscommon Zoo is another great attraction and is ideal for a family trip for all to enjoy, especially the kids. Hartwick Pines State Park i Grayling is a must see for all!

Houghton Lake is less than 20 minutes from the rental and offers plenty more fishing and swimming opportunities for guests to enjoy. South Higgins State Park is another great park for guests to enjoy and is right on Higgins Lake. Huron-Manistee National Forest is roughly two hours away and is perfect for those looking for bigger and more challenging hiking trails, while they can retreat the comfort of their lakefront rental in the evenings. Traverse City, Petosky, Charlevoix, and Gaylord are all about an hours drive from the cabin where you will find lots of shopping, restaurants, and activities to enjoy. Grayling and Roscommon are also close by and have wonderful places to visit. If you would like to see the Mackinac bridge or Mackinac Island, you can drive there in two hours!

Silver Dollar Pub & Grill is at the end of the road for a bite to eat or drinks. Only 1.5 miles to North Higgins State Park.
