The babel of the creek will lure you to rest on the comfortable sectional and take all your meals at the traditional farm table. You may even nap there in the afternoon or sleep there under the stars with the twinkling of the fireflies and the chirping of the crickets. Party lights that dim have been installed to create the perfect ambiance and lighting needs.

The remaining part of the patio has additional seating and a gas grill. Guests with children and fur children will love the flat and .3 fenced in acre for safety, play, and convenience. In the cooler evenings, enjoy the firepit with seating for four with tiki and solar lighting for pests and safety.

Fightingtown Creek, itself, is nothing short of fabulous! Yes, it does have trout and we have an excellent spot. You can wade, play, sit in a chair or float with you toes in the always chilly, but refreshing, water.

Upon entering the cottage, the floor plan is open and one-story which is great for seniors and toddlers. The dining room, just off the kitchen, has a unique, live edge handmade wooden table and ceiling fan.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and everything you will need to prepare and serve meals. However, we have no dishwasher. Because of this, we will provide paper products and plastic utensils. Thank you for understanding.

The living area has a futon and sofa overlooked a charming, stone fireplace with gas logs. Above, is a 50-inch flat screen TV with cable. It’s the perfect place for watching football games or cozying in on a cold night. Washer and dryer are located in the hallway closet.

The three-piece guest bath (shower/tub) is conveniently located to the main areas and guest room. It has plenty of storage under the vanity. The guest bedroom has a large wooden handmade queen bed, ceiling fan, and ample closet storage and shelving.

The spacious master suite has a king bed, ceiling fan, dressing table and mirror, and a dresser for storage. The en-suite has another three-piece bath (shower only) with storage under the vanity.

I’m not excited to drive in the mountains but we found that Scenic Dr was the best and easiest way in and out of town with a short drive. We went down to Tammen Park (15 minutes) to check out more fishing and to watch the other fishers, floaters and kayakers. Walked through and shopped downtown one day. Overall this cottage location is perfect as well as the host! We will be back!"

It is less that 2 miles to downtown Ellijay, 10-13 miles to downtown Blue Ridge, multiple apple orchards within a few mile radius, many winery & vineyards, as well as many hiking trails / waterfalls that are within a 30 minute drive. Your kids will love the Noah's ark playground & swings that we built which will be sure to keep them busy! Loungers are located on property for you to lay out. Tubing and kayaking are nearby at the Ellijay River Outfitters or the Cartecay River Experience. Inside "The Cottage", you have 2 bedrooms (both upstairs) which sleeps 6 comfortably. One bedroom features a queen bed and the other bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds- 4 beds in total. There is a half bathroom upstairs for both bedrooms to use. Downstairs, you enter the front door into the open kitchen, dining room, and living room. Imagine cozying up on the couch in front of the beautiful gas fireplace, with a glass of wine. The dining room has seating for 6 and there is also a full bathroom (with stand up shower) behind the kitchen. Stay in a Sioux design authentic Tipi. Our Tipi is secluded down by a beautiful creek. Surrounded by 21.5 acres of woods and pasture. Enjoy the quite mornings watching the horses graze in the pastures and gaze at the deer and lightning bugs in the evenings. It doesn’t get any better than this. Other things to note; you will have all the luxuries of home with many extras! We provide fresh eggs, homemade muffins, butter, and pound cake. The treehouse features a large deck with a lot of seating options, a firepit, 2 hammock swings, a hot tub, a grill and of course - the views! Inside, the floor plan is very open and spacious, yet cozy. The living room features a gas fireplace - perfect for cozying up on the couch with a glass of wine, and a flat screen TV - perfect for a movie night. The living room does have a pullout couch, making this comfortable for 4 adults max. The fully stocked kitchenette features a sink, fridge, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and a 2 burner stove top (no oven or dishwasher). The dining room, just off the kitchen, has a high top table and seating for 4. The spacious, updated bathroom features a beautiful walk-in shower and a large vanity. Upstairs in the loft, is the romantic oasis featuring a king bed and a flat screen TV.



You are located just 1.6 miles from downtown Ellijay, where you'll have grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and shops, less than 5 mins away. You are 20-30 mins from multiple hiking trails and waterfalls. Ellijay is known for their apple orchards and have many within a few mile radius. Vineyards and winery's are also very popular in Ellijay and you have many to choose from 20 - 30 minutes away. Weather you seek adventure, a romantic getaway, a girls weekend, or pure relaxation, the treehouse is for you!

LATE CHECK-OUTS & EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM. Door codes do not activate until set check-in time. Early access will not be provided without prior approval. Guests who check-in early or checkout past checkout time will charged the additional fee of $50/hr.

- "We so very much enjoyed our tree house getaway. It’s secluded and very private. The cabin was just the perfect size and was very comfortable for two people. We found the driveway very challenging in our car, since we don’t own a truck or suv…. Coming and going was the most stressful part of the trip. Communication with prop mgr was excellent and she was very accommodating to our needs. One issue was the description on the website listed the property as having a washer-dryer….it doesn’t. Hopefully that will be changed. Though we loved our stay, unless we have a truck/suv.. we probably would not return to this particular cabin. However, if you are looking for a romantic getaway… this is it!"

Nestled in the forrest is The Cottage in the Woods in the famous Coosawattee River Resort! A large circular drive greets you and accommodates plenty of parking. Relax on your 56' front porch with rockers and porch swing. A a convenient 2nd fire pit lets you enjoy the evening sunset. A screened side porch features an outdoor sectional and outdoor bar.

Inside you'll find a large open space with beautifully designed living, dining and kitchen spaces. the living room features a large, deep comfy sectional and gas fireplace. Dining seats 6-8 and kitchen has plenty of room for prep and cooking and allows others to access drinks without interfering. Open shelving allows ease of locating what you need.

Two bedrooms sleep 6 people. The primary bedroom has a king and on-suite 3 piece bathroom with laundry. No sclepping laundry to the basement! The second bedroom features 2 queens. Each person has their own reading light and side table.

The expansive backyard features a fire pit with 6 adirondake chairs and plenty of firewood. Explore the winding paths that lead you to the teepee and horseshoe pit. Forage Chanterelle mushrooms in the summer and spice up your meals with our little herb garden.

He accommodated our last minute early check-in request when we arrived to town earlier than we expected. He was very responsive with all communications. The house was cute, clean, and close to everything we wanted to do. We had a great time, and would book this home again if we are ever in the area. The only minor suggestion I have is to add another hanging mirror in one, or both, bedrooms. There are only two mirrors in the home, which made it hard for all three of us to get ready at the same time. Again, we had an awesome experience with this host and rental."

Welcome to Shepherd's Run!
We love dogs and welcome all breeds and sizes! This fully renovated, cozy cabin sits on 1.6 acres surrounded by pastures, mountain views, and abundant wildlife. The grounds are covered in wild peppermint, filling the air with a refreshing, natural fragrance. Your furry family members will delight in two fenced outdoor play areas: one features a fire pit, seesaw, three truck tires to run through or jump over, a sniffari route with stones, hay, and posts to explore, jumping noodles, jolly balls of all sizes, a fillable pool (stored under the deck), and a huge sandbox for digging — fun for all!
Conveniently located just off Old Highway 5, you’re only minutes from Downtown Ellijay, outdoor adventures, restaurants, shopping, groceries, and within walking distance to the annual Apple Festival.
The 800 sqft cottage, built in 1940, was previously a free-range chicken farm with chickens, cats, roosters, bunnies, and turkeys roaming freely. After acquiring it in 2022, we completely renovated the bathroom, built a custom kitchen cabinet, updated closets, added new lighting, and installed a much-needed dishwasher. The shiny red roof perfectly matches the bright red doors!
The back porch was fully redone and gated for dog safety, with stairs leading to a small fenced area. The metal gate can be opened to access the large fenced yard.
Inside, you’ll find two king-size beds, nightstand lamps with charging ports, a butcher block kitchen table with seating for four, and a comfy leather sofa with plenty of blankets and pillows for movie nights or cozy evenings by the electric fireplace. Furniture covers allow your dogs to snuggle right alongside you. A large dog crate sits next to the sofa, and a variety of dog supplies are conveniently stored in the kitchen cabinet. We love this place and hope you and your furry friends have a wonderful stay!

You have access to all areas of the cottage except the locked storage cabinet and crawlspace.

There are hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, countless camping opportunities, numerous fishing spots located along the rivers. In the mood for tubing? So much to explore. ENJOY!

Located 7 miles from the downtown square of Ellijay, Noisy Creek is a very private one bedroom, one bathroom cottage on over an acre of flat creek front.
The cottage has one bedroom with queen sized bed and a full bathroom. There is a living room, kitchen and dining area. The cottage is not located within a resort so no gates to contend with.
Huge out door firepit, cornhole and grilling station makes this a wonderful spot for a family get away.
Guest limit and pet limit strictly enforced.

It feels homey and not like a blank slate hotel room or other VRBOs. The fire pit area and back porch area literally only feet from the creek are to die for! It had everything stocked we could’ve possibly needed and our stay was magnificent. Upon checking in I had saved a copy of the directions that were emailed to us as an attachment which had one door entry code on it, but the correct code was listed in the actual email itself(so just make sure to use that one…no biggie just a minor confusion). Our only critique would be that the mattress could be updated but we definitely recommend this place to stay!"

- "We picked Ellijay for a 3 day weekend for a quick getaway and somewhere that my husband could mountain bike. This was a perfect spot for us. The property is very well kept. The cabin is well stocked, had everything we needed, as is the RV camper. There is a large fire pit with plenty of wood. The little stream and bridge are a cute addition and you can relax in hammocks or the swing next to the stream. There's an extra building which I don't know what it is but it reminded us of a little old town store. There is also uphill hiking on the other side of the bridge. We brought 2 of our dogs and they loved running around, staying right near us, and playing in the stream. The MTB trails were only 6 minutes away which was very convenient. Downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge were very close by and we were able to enjoy both. We have stayed in the area many times and this is a place we would definitely consider staying in again."

This lovely French Country Woodside Chateau is in a private gated community on the side of a mountain and hosts 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, sleeping six (6) people comfortably. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, guest room w/queen size and the living room sofa becomes a comfortable queen-size bed in front of a romantic fireplace.

The large covered back porch overlooks the forest with an outdoor table set and gas barbeque grill. It’s the perfect spot for a glass of wine or enjoy your morning coffee while watching the birds, squirrels, deer, turkey, and an occasional black bear wandering through the woods. Commune with nature and gaze at the stars around the large outdoor fire-pit at night after a fun-filled day of exploring the Blue Ridge mountains.

Enjoy private access to the cabin via smart lock to check yourself in. The Woodside Cottage is handicap accessible, complete with a wheelchair ramp, central heating and air. Prime TV and Wi-Fi ready. Applicants must be 25 years of age. There is a strict quiet hour policy between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. This is a non-smoking, allergen free home. It is NOT a pet friendly home.

Located at the top of Georgia near the twin cities of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN, this comfortable, chic studio was completely renovated from the ground up in 2018. At 884 sf it is the perfect size for a couple's romantic getaway. A day bed is available for one child. Plenty of windows with custom plantation shutters to open and fill the room with loads of light. This is a strict No Pet home.

We believe you will love our studio home, come back often, and recommend to your friends and family. We have a security camera above the front door and one on the back corner of the home. They only record motion.

Although we have a Mineral Bluff address, the studio is only one mile from McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. This area has recently changed from two sleepy little mountain towns to an area with much to offer. The towns sit on opposite sides of the Toccoa and Ocoee River – the river changes names at the bridge in the middle of town. Toccoa in GA and Ocoee in TN. Both towns offer excellent restaurants, several craft breweries, and unique specialty retail shops. You won’t want to miss any of this. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway must think there is something special about the area since it stops in McCaysville after its journey from Blue Ridge, GA. While you are staying at Memory Maker, you’ll only be 10 miles from the most popular destination in the north Georgia mountains, Blue Ridge, GA. More on Blue Ridge on down this page.

As you approach McCaysville on Hwy 60, you will see multiple whitewater rafting and tubing outfitters as the river is a go-to attraction during rafting/float season. And on up the road, only 13 miles, off of US Hwy 64 in TN, is the Ocoee Whitewater Center where the 1996 Atlanta Olympics held their whitewater rafting competitions. The center is a great place to have a picnic and watch the kayaks and rafts maneuver the fast and rolling rapids.

Drive another 12 miles down US Hwy 64, along the Ocoee River, and you'll come to the entrance to the Chilhowee Recreation Area. You definitely want to visit this place. The road up to the parking area has multiple pull-offs so you can see the spectacular views of the river valley below and layered mountain views in every direction. At the top is a campground and 7-acre McKamy Lake offers a swim area with a sand beach, and fishing from the bank. Also, within the recreation area are approximately 25 miles of hiking and biking trails, and the scenic Benton waterfall is an easy hike and gorgeous. This is a day trip worth taking.

Now about Blue Ridge, GA. Stunning views, hiking trails, waterfalls, wineries and craft breweries, galleries, shops, u-pick farms, and friendly people. The town of Blue ridge is located in Fannin county which offers 106,000 acres of Chattahoochee National Forest, 300 miles of hiking trails and 100 miles of trout streams (Fannin County is the official Trout Fishing Capital of Georgia), Blue Ridge Lake, and so much more.

Blue Ridge and the surrounding area of Georgia-Tennessee-North Carolina can't be beat. A few days just isn’t enough time to see and experience everything we have to offer. Our area is an outdoor adventure seeker's dream.

We didn’t want a big place, and this place checked all the boxes for us. I really appreciate that the kitchen was stocked with basics, especially for making coffee. Nothing is more frustrating than not having the right filter or equipment to make coffee, and there were multiple options to fit your preferences. About the only points I could say were detractors is that the couch upstairs is a little small. There is more room for lounging downstairs, but its a little drafty in extremely cold temperatures. Upstairs was fine. Couple of minor points that may be of interest to a few. The house is literally on top of a ridge line, and nearly at the crest of this mountain. If you have inclement weather, I would plan for getting stuck up on that mountain for a while. It’s really a one lane private road and it can be very steep at times. Just be aware and plan accordingly. Another thing is that there were no outlets on the front of the house. I have an electric car and it would have been nice to just trickle charge my car at the house. All the power outlets where on the back of the house. The Ellijay visitor center had a level 2 and level 3 charger, but the level 3 was not working, so we had to sit in the parking lot there for an hour one day. Again, this may not be impactful to all parties, but its worth realizing if you are assuming it won’t be a problem. Really cannot complain. The host was incredibly responsive, and the cottage was great. Would definitely come back."

This cottage accommodates up to 6 guests (base rate for 4, additional charge for above 4) with 1 King bed and 2 Queen beds. Sleep quietly in the middle of the woods with custom blackout shades in each bedroom. We are a not pet property.

This cozy & chic cottage was completely renovated in 2022 and is close to grocery stores, shops, restaurants, bars, wineries, water attractions, hiking trails, and much more that the beautiful Tri-State area has to offer.

OTHER SURROUNDING AREAS

Although we have a Mineral Bluff address, our cottage is only one mile from the sister cities of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. This area has recently grown from a sleepy little mountain river are to one with much to offer. The towns sit on opposite sides of the Toccoa/Ocoee River – the river changes names at the bridge in the middle of town, Toccoa in GA and Ocoee in TN. Both towns offer excellent restaurants, several craft breweries, and unique specialty retail shops. You won’t want to miss any of this. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway must think there is something special about the area since it stops in McCaysville after its journey from Blue Ridge, GA. While you are staying at Normita's Cottage, you’ll only be 10 miles from the most popular destination in the north Georgia mountains, Blue Ridge, GA. More on Blue Ridge can be found below.

As you approach McCaysville on Hwy 60, you will see multiple whitewater rafting and tubing outfitters as the river is a go-to attraction during rafting/float season. Just a 10 min drive up TN 68, off of US Hwy 64 in TN, is the Ocoee Whitewater Center where the 1996 Atlanta Olympics held their whitewater rafting competitions. The center is a great place to have a picnic and watch the kayaks and rafts maneuver the fast and rolling rapids.

Drive another 12 miles down US Hwy 64, along the Ocoee River, and you'll come to the entrance to the Chilhowee Recreation Area. You definitely want to visit this place. The road up to the parking area has multiple pull-offs so you can see the spectacular views of the river valley below and layered mountain views in every direction. At the top is a campground and 7-acre McKamy Lake offers a swim area with a sand beach, and fishing from the bank (in season). Also, within the recreation area are approximately 25 miles of hiking and biking trails, and the scenic Benton waterfall is a gorgeous and easy hike. This is a day trip worth taking.

Now about Blue Ridge, GA. Stunning views, hiking trails, waterfalls, wineries and craft breweries, galleries, shops, u-pick farms, and friendly people. The town of Blue ridge is located in Fannin county which offers 106,000 acres of Chattahoochee National Forest, 300 miles of hiking trails and 100 miles of trout streams (Fannin County is the official Trout Fishing Capital of Georgia), Blue Ridge Lake, and so much more.

Blue Ridge and the surrounding area of Georgia-Tennessee-North Carolina can't be beat. We call it the Tri-State Adventure Area. A few days just isn’t enough time to see and experience everything we have to offer. Our area is an outdoor adventure seeker's dream.

OUTDOOR SPACE: Front porch has a large gas grill and 2 rocking chairs to relax in. Backyard has a picnic table for 6-8 under cover and a fire pit with seating for 6-8 as well. The front and back property is flat with plenty of space to hang out.

RESORT AMENTITIES: 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, gym, arcade room, mini golf, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts. We also have 3 parks on the river and a play ground. ALL included now in your reservation for 5 people.

INDOOR LIVING: 2 closed door bedrooms with queen beds and 1 loft with a full sized bottom bunk and twin top bed. 1 bathroom with shower in the master downstairs and 1 bathroom with tub/shower upstairs. The space
We've designed this space for large families like our own in mind. But it's also perfect for family gatherings and groups of friends. This cozy retreat comfortably sleeps a family of 6 all the way up to a large group of 16 people, making it the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and create lasting memories.

The Space:
This spacious cottage brings together everything you could need on your trip. When traveling, we're always looking for the best of both worlds: the convenience of a hotel and the amenities of a home.
We've stocked the kitchen with nontoxic cookware big enough for large parties. You'll find extra-large pots and pans, Caraway cookware, and a table large enough for everyone. We've thought of the kids too! You'll find toddler cups, a highchair and amenities designed with them in mind. Enjoy game nights and share meals around the large dining table or simply relax in the cozy living room next to a roaring fire.

Each of the four bedrooms is thoughtfully designed for comfort and privacy, with luxurious linens, soft furnishings, and ample closet space. Every bed is ready with organic cotton sheets.
