The area is a haven for wildlife and will suit those simply seeking relaxation, as well as being ideally located for those who enjoy fishing, walking or cycling.
The Stables cottage has been sensitively developed to retain the charm of the original building, yet is fitted and equipped to a luxurious modern standard to ensure that guest have a relaxed and pleasant stay. It has three bedrooms, and one en-suite bathroom and one shower room.
On the ground level the cottage has an attractive reception hall, a large living room with a solid oak floor, wood burning stove and flat screen TV. There is also an open plan kitchen/diner which is fully equipped with hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine, with French doors to the garden.

In the lounge there are two sofas and two armchairs with coffee tables.

A boiler room with drying facilities and the family shower room are also located on the ground floor.
Upstairs in the cottage there are three comfortable bedrooms.
A spacious master bedroom with a kingsized bed, en-suite bathroom with corner bath and shower over. French doors lead out to an attractive decking area.

Stables Cottage, located on the first floor, has a spacious, modern open plan sitting room with kitchen and dining area with a traditional log burning stove as a focus for relaxing.

The cottage has a double bedroom with a traditional style cast iron king size bed over looking the old walled garden. There is a twin bedroom with ivory traditional style cast iron beds. The bathroom has a bath with an overhead chrome shower.

Stables Cottage is equipped with a bean to cup coffee machine, Smart TV, DVD player; Roberts Revival Bluetooth Radio and WiFi, a selection of board games and books. Stables Cottage is eco friendly with the power being generated from one of the Estate's two wind turbines and the heating and hot water provided by a biomass boiler. The cottage has its own private garden, with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is also a tennis court large trampoline, with a safety enclosure, a zipwire, a climbing frame and a Wendy house in the Estate gardens for children to use.

We provide a welcome pack for guests on arrival including a jar of home-made Corsewall brownies, milk, bread, jam, butter, tea, coffee and fresh flowers from the garden (when in season). You'll find the cottage well equipped with the general basics too from washing up liquid, bin bags to washing powder and loo paper.

We've created a host of magnificent woodland paths and coastal walks around Corsewall Estate for guests to enjoy during their stay. There are lots different options for shortening the walks or lengthening them. Many guests comment that they love the new paths as they don’t need to drive anywhere to walk – it’s just a case of stepping outside and the walks are right on their doorstep.

Corsewall Estate has three pretty beaches on Loch Ryan - Boat Bank, Lady Bay and Port Beg - that Stables Cottage guests can explore. A pretty walk down one of the drives will take you to Boat Bank, which is the nearest one to the cottage. Both Boat Bank and Lady Bay are wonderful spots if you like collecting shells or pebbles. Bird watching down on the shores of Loch Ryan or in the woods is second to none. Lady Bay is ideal for paddling, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking.

The cottage is located in over 20 acres of gardens and woodland. In late January and February, the woods feature charming drifts of snowdrops followed by daffodils and in April and May the hue turns to purple with acres of bluebells. There is colour in the gardens throughout the year starting with camellia from January to March, followed by a riot of colour in April and May as the rhododendrons and azaleas come into flower.

There is oodles of wildlife to spot on Corsewall Estate from roe deer and hares to barn owls, woodpeckers and, most importantly, this area is one of the last bastions of the red squirrel.

The Blue Peter pub in the village of Kirkcolm is 10 minutes' walk away and does good pub grub.

Two dogs are very welcome at the cottage - there are lots of lovely walks for them around the estate and down to the shore. We charge £25 per dog per week/£20 per dog per short break and we ask that you let us know in advance to book them in.

We have a second cottage, Garden Cottage, about 50 metres from Stables Cottage, which sleeps 6 - so groups of up to 10 can easily be accommodated in both locations.

The Old Post Office is a cosy little cottage on the High street of Scotland's smallest Royal Burgh. It was built in 1835 and was one of the many homes the local Post office has enjoyed over the centuries. The Gardeners Cottage is set within the walled gardens of Corvisel House, built by Rear Admiral John McKerlie in 1829. We have restored the cottage in a vintage, quirky style with Donegal & Harris tweed soft furnishings & floral accents to reflect the glorious garden outside! It's located at the edge of Newton Stewart so very handy for evening strolls to the eateries in town. You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

The space
The cottage is a cosy & quirky home with lots of interesting bits & bobs artfully displayed throughout.

There is a super king bed in the courtyard bedroom & a double in the garden bedroom (this room is also roadside). We can easily add a single bed if a twin is required for guests, just ask!

Recently updated kitchen complete with slimline dishwasher, however if you don’t wish to use this there is a lovely window to look out of when doing the dishes...or even better just treat yourself to a meal out in town (4min walk)!

There are a plentiful supply of books to snuggle up with & we're totally happy for you to potter about in the walled garden if gardening is your thing!

The cottage is entirely for your use including the courtyard (we may need to pop through the courtyard to access our garage/get tools from shed however we'll knock first!!)

You are welcome to share the walled garden with us & make use of the forest.

Other things to note
The cottage is located just off the roundabout at Wigtown Road and as such the double bedroom has a window that is roadside. All other windows face into the garden or courtyard.

Small but perfectly formed one bedroom cottage located in a quiet village in the grounds of and Old Manse. We are one mile from the coast and the larger village of Port William where you can find local amenities. Ideal for a couple, we can also provide a cot/cot bed if required. We welcome dogs with well behaved owners!

The space
The cottage has one bedroom and one shower room with wc. The living space is open plan with a small kitchen complete with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine, fridge and all the pots and pans and crockery and cutlery you will need. There is a breakfast bar to dine at and the living area has a sofa and two comfortable chairs. There is a large wood burning stove which shall be set and ready to light to keep you cosy. There is a television with freeview, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and also an Apple TV box.

Located in the heart of the magical Corsewall Estate, beside Loch Ryan, Stables Cottage is a 4* two-bedroom cottage, with a log-burning stove, which is ideal for both romantic breaks or family holidays. It has a network of wonderful woodland walks and pretty coastal paths right on its doorstep and is only a 10-minute walk to the nearest beach.

The space
Located in the heart of Corsewall Estate and overlooking a traditional 19th century walled kitchen garden, the recently restored 4*Stables cottage is an ideal base for exploring Wigtownshire and rest of Dumfries & Galloway.

Stables Cottage, located on the first floor, has a spacious, modern open plan sitting room with kitchen and dining area with a traditional log burning stove as a focus for relaxing.

The cottage has a double bedroom with a traditional style cast iron king size bed over looking the old walled garden. There is a twin bedroom with ivory traditional style cast iron beds. The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower.

Stables Cottage is equipped with a De Longhi coffee machine, Smart TV, DVD player; Roberts Bluetooth radio and WiFi, a selection of board games and books. The cottage has its own private garden, with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is also a games room with ping pong and an air hockey table, a singles tennis court, large trampoline, climbing frame with swings and a slide and zip wire in the Estate gardens.

Corsewall Estate has three pretty beaches on Loch Ryan - Boat Bank, Lady Bay and Port Beg - that Stables Cottage guests can explore. A pretty walk down one of the drives will take you to Boat Bank, which is the nearest one to Stables Cottage. Both Boat Bank and Lady Bay are wonderful spots if you like collecting shells or pebbles. Bird watching down on the shores of Loch Ryan or in the woods is second to none. Lady Bay is our favourite spot for swimming and paddle boarding.

There are lots of wonderful woodland walks and coastal paths around the estate you can enjoy. In late January and February, the woods feature charming drifts of snowdrops followed by daffodils and in April and May the hue turns to purple with acres of bluebells. There is colour in the gardens almost all the way through the year starting with camellia from January to March, followed by a riot of colour in April and May as the rhododendrons and azaleas come into flower. The autumn sees the hydrangeas providing colour all the way through to November. There is oodles of wildlife to spot – from roe deer and hares to barn owls, woodpeckers and most importantly, this area is one of the last bastions of the red squirrel .

We have a second cottage, Garden Cottage, about 50 metres from Stables Cottage, which sleeps 6 - so groups of up to 10 can easily be accommodated in both locations.

Ardwall Lodge is situated on a working farm outside the beautiful village of Gatehouse of Fleet. It is conveniently located next to the A75 from which you can explore the whole of Dumfries and Galloway. The area has wonderful beaches, lochs and mountains which are all close by. We are 2 miles from Laggan Outdoor and GG's Yard. And close to many other local attractions.

The space
The cottage has two bedrooms - one has a kingsize bed and the other has a double. There is also a double sofabed in the living room. As well as this there a small box room which has been set up with a travel cot and night light.

Other things to note
There is small garden to the rear of the cottage. However as it is next to the main road and is not enclosed, please be mindful of your dogs and children.

Built in 1793 this detached holiday property has been tastefully converted and featured on the Home Show. Set adjacent to the owners’ home, its ground floor formerly housed cattle and the upper was the village Sunday school. This area of the Solway has beautiful beaches, especially Sandyhills. The area is renowned for coastal, hill and woodland walks, whilst horse riding, golf, fishing and bird watching are nearby, The Seven Stanes and National Cycle Network pass nearby for cyclists.

The space
The cottage has a very well equipped large kitchen downstairs along with toilet and shower facilities. Upstairs is a comfortable sized lounge/sitting area with both en-suite and twin bedrooms off either side of the lounge area.

Guests can access the entire cottage for their own convenience throughout their stay.

Curlew Cottage- a stunning retreat. Set in the traditional coastal village of Creetown, this immaculate terraced cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Creetown has friendly bars, restaurants, local arts and crafts, museums, a village shop , family butcher, lovely walks and wildlife on the doorstep.

The space
You will love the cosy living room with its beautiful open fireplace, the summerhouse gazing down the garden to the Balloch Burn and the woods beyond. The cottage boasts two bedrooms with king-size beds (one of which can be converted to two small singles for children), a relaxing Jacuzzi bath (with additional electric shower) and a fully equipped dining kitchen. Outdoors, you will discover a large enclosed garden with raised decking, the summerhouse with furniture , a patio with furniture and a BBQ. A locked shed at the rear of the property is available for bicycle/ equipment storage. Dog friendly.

This pretty cottage was once used as a Tearoom on what was then a strawberry picking farm. Set within 30 acres of beautiful pastoral farmland this quirky conversion is a peaceful rural retreat, but is ideally located for all that the region has to offer.

A stones throw from some of Scotland’s finest unspoiled and quiet beaches and within driving distance of all of the 7stanes mounting biking trails for those looking for a little more adventure.

The space
This spacious cottage sleeps 2 in an open plan layout. (Please note there is a small step in the bedroom area.). A separate bathroom offers a bath for soaking tired muscles or an overhead shower to freshen up after a beach walk!

The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook your meals. Several large supermarkets can be found less than a 10 minute drive from the cottage.

The cottage has access to a shared guest garden separate to the main garden. It is for use by our guests. Please note the garden is not fully enclosed and dogs need to be kept on a lead. For those warmer evenings there is a bbq and for the cooler evenings a wood burning stove in the spacious living room.

The area is a haven for artists inspired by the landscape and attracted by the quality of light. For great mountain biking, the acclaimed 7 Stanes at Mabie forest is virtually on the doorstep and for the less adventurous there are attractive forest walks. The stunning Colvend Coast is less than 30 minutes drive; the artists town of Kirkcudbright is to the west; an abundance of fishing opportunities and a superb choice of golf courses including a championship links course at Southerness and of course, some superb hill and coastal walks. The award winning Loch Arthur farm shop is only a mile from the cottage and has an excellent range of organic cheeses and fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs and freshly baked breads.

The property has a separate entrance and dedicated car parking space. It is a semi detached cottage. Please note that there is an external corridor to the rear of the property that links the main house with the laundry room. On occasion you may hear sounds of everyday family life whilst in your kitchen. We are very respectful of guests peace and quite whilst staying with us!
