At least outside the busiest tourist season, we had awesome, comfortable and very good time staying in these cabins. "

- "I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. It was really peaceful and it has its own private beach and a rowing boat plus a swing which I must admit I spent quite a bit of time on there. The centre of Kitee is about 20 minutes away in a car so if like me you do not drive order a taxi through the Menava app. It cost me €87 return trip but the compromise is the absolute stunning views. I visited the Nightwish Museum in the centre of Kitee. There is a Merimekko shop and others shops which includes an S Market and a K Market. I would stay here again and nothing was too much trouble for Passi and his mom."

Quietly located cottage accommodation in Siikalatva Pulkkila, just 2.5 km from the fourth road, surrounded by pine forest. 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and newly renovated toilet, khh, shower and sauna facilities. There may be riders on the road, please slow down. Approximately 3 km to the nearest shop.

The space
The house was built in the 1990s, but the interior has been renovated and the perfect sauna, shower, khh and toilet renovated in 2024 spring. The yard will be put in and the house will be painted in spring/summer 2025. We also have accommodation from Pulkkila 15 km north of Route 4 in Sipola B&B Rosenberg.

The entire house is occupied by guests.

Other things to note
One bedroom has 2 beds for 1 person and 1 1 person bed and 1 bed 120cm wide in the other bedroom. There is also a sofa in the living room for 1-2 people.
The fireplace is a wood fireplace. When heating, open the first damper on the top of the baking oven (left from the front) before lighting the fire. In the wood sauna, check that the damper is open before lighting the trees.
The baking oven is not available to customers.

Relax in privacy at this peaceful place to stay. The big yard is bordered by the forest, and there's great forest terrain nearby for walks, skiing, or berry picking. On a clear night in the yard, you can see the Milky Way and the Northern Lights with luck! Being here, it feels like time is stopping. In the wood sauna steam, your worries are washed away at the latest.

There's no complete isolation here either, the services of the Suonenjoki River are just a 20-minute drive away.

The space
A hundred-year-old log cabin that exudes a peaceful atmosphere. The cottage has a kitchen and living room, as well as two bedrooms with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There is a new yard sauna with a wood stove in the yard. The sauna provides carrying water from a nearby well with a pump.
The yard is big and surrounded by forest from all directions. Great jogging trails right from the yard of the cottage to the middle of the forest.
In the winter, there may also be unofficial ski trails available near the cottage, but at least with certainty, there are favorable conditions during the snow during the snow. This cottage is suitable for a person enjoying the peace of nature. When there's not much light pollution around, the different light phenomena in the sky can also be seen very nicely right away in the yard.
You can also ask us about a visit with the huskies, where we'll be there with our friendly Siberian husky pack. We have five dogs in our pack, each of which is their own personality. I'll tell you more about the herd life of the huskies, and these friendly dogs will then be scratched up. Or also ask for a little sleigh ride with a Siberian husk skimmer in the winter. A campfire coffee in the yard can also be combined with a visit or sleigh ride. Ask the host for more!

A warm cottage on the shore of Lake Kitkajärvi with all the amenities. The tap becomes pure spring water. Wood-heated sauna. Private beach (80 m. from cottage) electric outboard motor with rowing boat. Hot tub, sheets and towels by arrangement (extra charge). Snowshoes and children's sleds may be worn. Nearby: for example, ski resort Ruka from the cottage 19 km (about 20 minutes by car) , National Park Riisitunturi 11 km (about 15 minutes by car), also Valtavaara, Konttainen, Bear Tour nearby.

- Rental sheets (we use them in the laundry) and towels set 15 euros per person or your own. We ask to give advance notice.

-Hot tub 250 euros for the duration of the stay. Enjoy the warmth of a barrel under the sky whenever it suits you. We fill it once with clean spring water and preheat it. Electricity allows you to maintain heat, and if necessary, you can also heat more, firewood is included. We'll clear out and wash the barrel after you leave. You can ask the barrel in advance before your stay :)

For you who wants to have rest from daily rush and get back to basics. Cottage is located by private lake with plenty of fish. Cottage is handcrafted from logs and has a traditional finnish sauna.

The lake has a small sandy beach and a pier. There is a rowing boat you can use to explore the lake. In the autumn there is blueberries to pick right by the cottage. In the wintertime we’ll make a hole in the ice for sauna water and ice swimming.

The cottage has solar powered lights and gas operated fridge and stove. In the summertime you can make food also in the barbecue hut which also has a place for dishwashing.

Sofa opens for double bed and there is also sleeping loft for 1-2 persons. Nice fireplace keeps the cottage warm. We will offer you all the fresh drinking water you need for your stay.

Our cottage is on the edge of the "Old Town", a 12 min walk to art and culture, parks, river, cafes, and restaurants. It is a charming, traditional, renovated wooden cottage with a fireplace and sauna* located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood, on a tree-lined street, beside a park and playground.

The space
The Cottage has a large living room with a high ceiling, a fireplace, and a very effective heater / AC system.

The beds are in a spacious loft area, which has an A-frame ceiling (so it's a little above head height in the center, and gets lower to the sides). There is also a sauna (for an additional fee, please see below), a shower, a kitchenette, a small breakfast room, and a toilet. The cottage is completely self-contained, and entirely your own space to enjoy.

The main room overlooks a delightful garden with the main house with an apple tree.

Outside is a small lawn area with a garden table and 4 chairs.

This is a great place for families with children*. It's a very quiet street and neighborhood. Our street has very little thorough traffic. The property borders a lovely park with a playground for children. It also has a football area with goal nets (in the summer), or an ice skating area (in the winter).

*Note: there is a staircase up to the sleeping area. There is no child-barrier to block or close off access to the top of the stairs.

You will have your own on-street area to park your car.

There is a 4G/LTE pocket WiFi modem with adequate speed for general usage. It can be turned off and on as and when you wish to use it.

You have use of The Sauna incl. towels& birchbranches for an extra fee (listed below) payable to the Host on arrival.

You have full use of the cottage, which has its own access. There is a small yard with a small lawn area outside the front door of the cottage. There is a garden area with a table and 4 chairs. You also have use of free street parking, just meters from the front door.

The guest house is a free-standing building located on the same property as the main house. We use the same gate to access the property.

SAUNA FEE: 15€ / 2h. The Sauna fee is paid directly to the host if you wish to use it. It's an electric sauna that heats up in about 30 minutes. Sauna towels, seats are provided. Please let us know in advance if you wish to use the Sauna.
