Excellent Easton's Point location, just off Tuckerman Avenue. Charming cottage located on a quiet street walking distance to Easton's Beach, 2nd Beach, numerous restaurants, and Newport's scenic Cliff Walk. Only a short driving distance to downtown Newport, several historic mansions and Bellevue Avenue.

This studio style cottage is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood adjacent to an owner-occupied dwelling. It is ideal for a single person, couple or small family (max. 1 older child) coming to enjoy a lovely, relaxing vacation in the Newport area.

Due to the structural set up of the rental (stairs and loft) and the safety of guests we can only have older children, aged 12 and up traveling with their families.

Charming four season cottage in a spectacular location on Fogland Point. Large wraparound deck faces the Sakonnet River and features a gorgeous panoramic ocean view. We particularly enjoy cocktails on the deck or sitting around the fire pit at sunset. The sunsets on Fogland Point are unusually gorgeous.

The front yard leads to private rocky beach great for swimming, fishing, kayaking, shell collecting and exploring the water's edge. Located a short five minute walk from the town swimming beach (lifeguard on duty seasonally) and boat launch. Fogland Point is an ideal location for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and is one of the best windsurfing and kiting locations in New England.

This two bedroom cottage has a queen sized bed in the master bedroom, a set of bunk beds and a single bed in the child-friendly second bedroom, and a futon couch in the closed-in porch (where you can hear the sound of the water at night). The house is fully winterized with the exception of the closed-in porch. Maximum of six guests when porch is usable, and only four during the cold months.

The house is equipped with wi fi, smart TV, DVD player and a bluetooth/mp3 player. Though the kitchen is small, it is fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, blender, mixer, baking pans, etc. A front-loading stackable washer/dryer is located in the bathroom. All linens are provided.

The house is very kid-friendly and comes with beach toys, books, a few videos and a lot of games for family evenings or the occasional rainy day. The closed-in porch, complete with lobster lights, is great for enjoying sunsets and quiet evenings with the sounds of waves lapping on the rocky beach below.

Sadly our cottage is not animal-friendly. We use the cottage ourselves several weeks per year, and one of our daughters has a severe allergy to dogs. Therefore, the cottage is strictly an animal-free zone in order to protect the well being of our daughter.

The cottage is located less than 10 minutes from Gray's Ice Cream, frequently rated best ice cream in RI. Besides Gray's there are other businesses worth exploring in historic Tiverton Four Corners, including several antique shops and galleries, a toy store, gift and home decor shops, designer clothing shops, cheese and pate' shop, bookstore, library, restaurants and more. Tour Sakonnet Vineyards, only 10 minutes away. Great food abounds at local restaurants, fresh seafood markets, and country stands (in season) in both Tiverton and neighboring Little Compton. Local restaurants feature great home cooking and seafood specialties, like seafood chowder, lobster rolls, fried clams, clam cakes and homemade pies.

Water Sports:
The cottage is located a short 5 minute walk from one of the best windsurfing and kiting locations in New England. Rental equipment and private lessons are often available on the beach. According to a popular windsurfing website, "Fogland point is one of the most popular spots in the state. It is one of the windiest sites not on Cape Cod. There is a sheltered shallow cove area on the north side of the point (you can walk across except at high tide) and slightly more open sailing on the south side. Great area for all skills of sailors. The beach is nice... and not too busy. Pebbly, sandy beach, not very big waves... One of the most beautiful and scenic sailing sites also. There's a saltwater marsh, and some tidal pools with lots of sea life."

The sheltered shallow cove on the north side of Fogland Point is wonderful for stand up paddle boarding. Last summer we watched a SUP yoga class moored out in the cove.

Our daughters have loved playing around the marshes. When they were small they collected hermit crabs, as they grew they graduated to playing hide and seek in the marshes on surf boards and in kayaks.

Jolee Cottage is an architecturally designed guest cottage in walking distance to Jamestown Village. Short drive to Newport (14 min); Wickford (15 min); Narragansett (23 min); Block Island Ferry (38 min); Providence (40 min) and TFG Airport (38 min). The cottage is offered fully furnished and can accommodate two adults comfortably. The living room is on the first floor where there is a pull out sofa bed, desk, flat screen TV, and gas fireplace . A shower stall bath lies behind sliding barn doors. A spiral staircase leads you to the second floor where there is a comfy queen size bed, armoire, and reading chair. Off the bedroom, is a private deck with water views of Newport Bridge. AC, ceiling fans, WIFI, cable, mini-fridge and microwave available. Sorry ... no kitchen, no pets.

“The Cottage” is an ideal vacation home for that special time to reclaim your life for a week or two (or longer). It has comfortable accommodations for up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Available for shorter term in the off season and weekly throughout the summer. If you want to eat in, we have a fully equipped kitchen with cathedral ceilings and skylight, for laundry there’s a washer & dryer. 1 bathroom w/shower inside plus an outside hot shower at the spacious back deck with a Weber gas grill, a private back yard, nice covered front porch for morning coffee while the sun rises, Wi-Fi 5G fiberoptic internet for e time , bedroom cabinets & hanging closet for plenty of clothes space and wood floors throughout. The bathroom floor and walls have been recently re-tiled .The house is furnished with 1 queen & 1 full size bed and all kitchen utensils (some say enough for a banquet). There are several swimming areas and a small boat launch very close by. Golf course is 5 minutes down the road. Located in a quiet and private neighborhood, about a 10 minute bicycle ride to the town center, plenty of off street parking. Located at East Shore Rd. and Decatur Ave. This is a great place as a quieter alternative to a busier town but with very quick access to those types of areas. Jamestown's a great place for bicycle riding, boating, beaching / swimming, walking, fishing, golfing or doing nothing. Quality restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and parks create a genuine village feeling at the town center. Take an easy 10 minute scenic ride over the Newport Pell bridge to visit Newport for a day touring in the city by the sea or take the passenger ferry (bring your bicycle) to Newport. Guests can also catch a ride on the Block Island Ferry from Newport or the Martha’s Vineyard Ferry from North Kingstown . Both ferries will have you at their destination in about 1.5 hrs.

This isn't rustic, some may say it's quaint or cozy, but I call it a small, simply beautiful island cottage that can make your summer a truly enjoyable one to remember. Bring your bicycles, kayak, surfboards / windsurfers, golf clubs, books, fishing gear or yard games. We have the grill, deck furniture and island ambiance.
Book early as reservations start to come in early January.
This is a non smoking property and we do not allow pets for the comfort of all our guests.

Weekly rentals start at end of May and go to early Sept. Rental period must be made to go Saturday to Saturday, no exceptions for the summer period. Be sure to adhere to this when making reservation request. Spring and fall 3 night minimum and can be any days of the week as available. Also inquire about longer terms for the winter.

What more could you ask for in a vacation?" - "well situated, quite, easy parking and access, friendly neighbors, 5 minutes by car from the village" - "This little gem was perfect for my wife and me. It was exactly as advertised - Not a huge house but very well stocked, comfortable, in a quiet area but only a short drive to all types of activities. Only minutes from Narragansett and Newport. We had a great time wandering around Fort Wetherill State Park in Jamestown as well as the "downtown" area along Narragansett ave where there are plenty of nice places to eat. Another day we took a trip into Newport to do the Cliff Walk. Here is a great tip...Park at the Newport Transportation and visitor's Centre. The city trolleys are free during the summer and the driver will give you a voucher that will lower the parking to $5.00. If the driver has none, go in the visitors centre and ask for one. Host Marty was an absolute joy to deal with. All our questions were answered promptly and accurately. He even provided a big bag of ice in the freezer so we could enjoy a nice cold beverage after a long drive to Rhode Island. The front and back decks are spacious and great for relaxing with a morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks, Marty!"

The fourth of July is a big event in New England. You will see fireworks all across the bay and sometimes on our beach!

Please note the photos which show that there is a very short path of rocks to walk onto the beach and that it is a New England beach with some sand, small rocks and larger ones.

Maid service available. September and October are among the most glorious months in Southern New England and Rhode Island. Warm, breezy, sunny days, cool, star filled nights. If you have the time, this is a beautiful time to be at our cottage by the sea, on a quiet dead end lane.

Welcome to our cottage. We hope that you enjoy your stay. There is a lot to see and do for those of you who like to be on the move. For those who like to just sit, relax and watch the water, this is the perfect place.

During your stay, there are a few things that we ask…

• Please put all trash bags into the trash cans and use bungies to prevent critters from getting inside.

• If you brought a dog, please clean up after routinely so we avert any tracking into the cottage. And, please no animals on the furniture!

• Beach chairs are located in the outside shed all the way to the right. Please do not lock the shed door.

• You never know when a wind will come up plus there is the tide, so if you bring chairs down to the beach, please keep tabs so we don’t lose any.

• Checkout Day – vacate by 10 am
1. Empty the refrigerator and freezer
2. Wash all dishes
3. Put trash and recycling in outside bins
4. Lock the door and put the keychain on the hook and ensure the single key is in the lockbox and juggle the combination

Trash pickup is Tuesday morning early. Please position on the other side of the fence the night before for pickup.

Lawn Service is usually Saturday – They are quick!
