Our Maine cottage has hardwood floors, a fully-equipped kitchen with granite countertops & stainless steel appliances, including gas range/oven, dishwasher, & microwave, as well as a stackable washer/dryer. Each bedroom sleeps 2 people with 1 queen bed & 1 full & 1 twin bed. An AC unit in the living-room cools the entire cottage. The marble-tiled bathroom has a shower & pedestal sink. There is also an outdoor shower with hot & cold water to enjoy after a day at the beach or just for fun. The backyard deck has beautiful views of the ocean, including Nubble Light & Boone Island. Dine al fresco after using the outside gas grill or inside in front of the large picture window facing the ocean. Or dine out at The Lobster Cove restaurant, just a short walk away.

Great cottage on a quiet dead end road, located between Short Sands and the Nubble Light. Five minute walk to Short Sands one way and Brown's ice cream the other! First floor has living room, dining room, sun room, kitchen, bathroom with tub/shower and laundry room with full size washer and dryer. There is a small porch off the back and a patio with table & chairs, Weber gas grill and gas firepit. Upstairs has two bedrooms.

Large private yard, most of it on the side of the cottage; with enough room for a family cookout and parking for 3 cars.

There's a gas heater on the main level for those chilly off season nights.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We provide blankets and pillows but you **MUST BRING YOUR OWN BED LINENS AND BATH TOWELS**

This friendly, comfortable year round Maine cottage with knotty pine paneling tastefully and carefully updated. Strictly NO SMOKING OF ANYTHING on premises or in yard!
We are flexible with arrival and departure dates, and have a 4 night minimum.
We accept a dog, under 45 lbs, on a limited basis, you'll need to check with us and send a photo! Bring dog bed, crate. All meds, shots. Keep pet off furniture, leave cottage as if no pet was there. Always clean up after pet in our yard or when you're out on a walk! No barking or leaving dog tied out. Thank you!
Our cottage is 2 bedrooms, one with Queen bed, closet, the second bedroom has 2 twin beds on the porch. Kitchen has Refrigerator/Freezer, Stove/Oven, and eat in Dining area.
We have a full sized washer and dryer.

In2021 we installed 2 Mitsubishi minisplit airconditioner/heat, one in dining area one in living room.
Combination locks on the doors, no keys to lose! Outside there are 2 parking places, outdoor chairs and table. Sit outside and enjoy the quiet family neighborhood. The cottage is a 'stone's throw' to a rocky beach for tide pooling, swimming at high tide, star gazing, and views of Shorts Sands Beach! Hear the waves from the cottage!
Popular Short Sands Beach is a pleasant 1/2 mile walk on a tree-lined side street. Shops, restaurants, cafe, etc.
You'll find York's Wild Kingdom, The Goldenrod (world famous for salt water taffy made the same way for over 100 years), Funarama with games including skee ball, a wonderful beach side playground and the Gazebo for summer concerts. Walk on another 20 minutes to Dunne's ice cream and on to the Nubble Lighthouse, enjoying the rocky Maine coastline, and fabulous ocean views. Long Sands beach is another little walk or drive away.

Short drives open a world of sightseeing, shopping, hiking, boating, etc. Portland is 30 minutes away with ferries to the Maine islands; driving up or down the coast leads you to outlet shopping at Freeport, one hour away, or Kittery, 15 minutes away; a burst of driving to the heart of the New Hampshire White Mountains for a days junket is one and one-half hours away.

The location is in a lovely and quiet neighborhood, but is walkable to town reataurants, shops, and activities, and to the sandy beach. There's a washer/dryer in the first bedroom to take care of your swimsuits and towels and a Netflix-equipped TV in the living room for your evening entertainment. Find full-size appliances in the nicely equipped kitchen, a gas grill just outside, and a dining table for four in the sunroom. There is parking for 2 cars. There are 2 smart T.V.’s and Free Wi-Fi. For your beach-going convenience an outdoor shower is located off the back deck. This is a non-smoking property. The kitchen has a 2 person breakfast bar, small 4 person dining table, full size refrigerator and 4 burner propane stove and oven. Off the living room is a French door that opens up to a massive 400 Sq. ft. deck, perfect for barbequing, sunbathing, or just some Rest & Relaxation with family & friends. An outdoor gas grill is provided. There is also a hot and cold water outdoor shower for your after beach going convenience. It is our expectation that you bring your own towels, beach towels, bed sheets and pillow cases. 1 queen and 2 full beds. To access the oversized upstairs bedroom you will need to be able to climb very steep cottage style stairs. (I do not recommend anyone with toddlers or mobility impairments plan on renting this cottage to sleep upstairs). The bathroom is on the 1st floor and the stairs are quiet steep with no way to block them off from upstairs. We do allow 1 dog per booking with an agreement to follow basic pet rules and a separate payment of a nonrefundable pet fee of $250 per stay. Just One Block Back from beautiful Long Sands Beach, sits this adorable condo. Long Sands Beach has long been a destination for summer vacations. The water is clear and the beach is clean. Family friendly, this beach offers miles of sand and oftentimes, great waves for boogie boarding and body surfing! For your convenience, we offer beach chairs and a caddy to take your gear to the beach. There are adorable small restaurants, ice cream shops, tee shirt shacks and penny candy. Yes, it is a bit throw back, but just what your family will love and long remember. The cottage itself is newly renovated with bamboo flooring throughout, all new furniture, new wall mounted flat screen TV with cable, wifi, new bathroom with 4 foot shower, new range and so much more! This house is perfect for solo adventures, couples, and families! Great views are just 400 steps from your front door where you can literally see for miles over pristine blue ocean water! We provide hand soap, dish soap, dish towels, a bath mat, trash bags, basic cleaning products, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in a shower pump, light weight summer quilts, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 1 roll of paper towel. All 3 of the mattresses and all of the pillows are covered with pillow and mattress protectors. After renovating the entire interior, in 2021 we added new exterior siding and some new outdoor furniture. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic things you should need during your stay like a toaster, two kinds of coffee machines (see photos for types) pots and pans if you feel like cooking, plates and cups, and naturally...wine glasses! A seasonal vacation cottage located steps from the ocean waves at Long Sands Beach. The cottage is a tastefully furnished detached quaint 3+ room (& porch), sleeping up to 5 people. There is a full size bed in the master bedroom, a pullout trundle in living room &/or can be converted into a full size bed, and an extra over sized chair bed on the porch. The bath is 3/4 with a shower. There is a HD flat screen cable TV, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, a screened in porch for breezes, and a gas grill and lawn furniture to enjoy! This is a housekeeping cottage and guests will provide their own towels or request them. Sheets are provided.This is a very family friendly beach area.There is parking for up to 2 vehicles, tags will be provided. Please note: The cottage has been recently renovated to include open natural tongue & groove wood ceilings with fans in the living room & bedroom as well as bead board paneling & driftwood color laminate flooring. - "Property was as stated very clean and everything you need and a walk on the beach every morning ,would do it again in a flash!!" - "We were looking for a place that was near the beach and close to Kittery. This cabin is definitely within walking distance of the beach however the neighboring properties keep a close on you throughout your stay. It felt like throughout the stay whenever we looked out a window or went outside someone was watching us. We had read about the rules for the cabin community and were more than willing to follow (quite hours, no smoking, parking) however the other cabins do not follow these rules. Rules for thee but not for me definitely apply here. The spare key/ check in key is kept in a location that a few of the other properties know about and it definitely make you feel a little insecure when you leave or sleep. It is a nice clean cabin and the property manager had great communication but we would pass on staying here again."

Located in the heart of Long Sands Beach just .3 miles straight back from the bath house. THE GOOGLE MAPPING IS WRONG. Please note, The York Hut is a 7 minute walk or a 2 minute drive to the beach. This cozy updated cottage is an easy walk to the beach with all your gear using our included mega cart. After a fun day at the beach, you can relax in the private back yard setting enjoying the enclosed outdoor shower featuring a granite bench just steps from the patio, fire pit and Weber grill.

The York Hut offers 2 bedrooms. One full bed bedroom and one bunk room with a full bed and a single bed. Cottage sleeps 5 comfortably. There is also a queen sofa bed for an extra visitor or 2. One full bathroom with washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped including multiple lobster pots and all the accessories needed for the seafood lover. There are two TV's with DVD players and cable in the sitting room and bunk room. WIFI is included as well.

We require all renters to supply their own linens, blankets, sheets, pillows and towels. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your creations. For your convenience, we provide antibacterial supplies, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. Additionally, the cottage will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival given your preference of either all natural products or chemical based products. The York Hut is a pet free and smoke free environment with no exceptions.

There is a black, circle lock box attached to the house up the back stairs. This is where the house keys are kept. You will receive an email and text notification a few days before your stay with your activation code.

The cottage is tiny (800 square feet) and old (built in 1900!). However, we put a lot of time, work, thoughtfulness, and love into making it as updated and cozy as possible. We will continue to make improvements year after year. After all, this is our home and we spend a lot of time here too!

The York Hut is located in the center of Long Sands Beach just .3 miles straight back from the bath house. This cozy updated cottage is an easy walk to the beach with all your gear using our included mega cart. After a fun day at the beach, you can relax in the private back yard setting enjoying the enclosed outdoor shower featuring a granite bench just steps from the patio, fire pit and Weber grill.

The space
The York Hut includes today's essentials such as WIFI, cable, 2 TV's and 2 DVD players. We require all renters to supply their own linens, blankets, sheets, pillows and towels. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your creations. For your convenience, we provide antibacterial supplies, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. Additionally, the cottage will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival given your preference of either all natural products or chemical based products. The York Hut is a pet free and smoke free environment with no exceptions.

You can't get any closer to the beach than the Diane cottage as part of the York Manor. Come stay at our cozy York Beach cottage located on Short Sands Beach. Enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the rockers on the front porch of the main house. Spend your days in the sun at the beach only steps away or walk to the quaint down town.

Unfortunately because we are just a family run house we are not able to provide linens. Guests will need to bring any towels and sheets with them that they would like for the week. We have a recommendation for a linen rental service as well if that is preferred, just let us know!

Lil' Cottage Retreat

The open expanse of Long Sands Beach awaits just down the driveway from this darling cottage in York, where you'll have every essential for a classic summer in Maine. You'll swim, you'll sunbathe, and you'll be welcomed home each afternoon by a sunroom, a small deck, and a private gas grill.

Follow the narrow driveway from Long Beach Avenue to reach this single-level home, which you'll enter by way of the cozy front deck. Step inside to unwind in the window-lined sunroom. There's a washer/dryer in the first bedroom to take care of your swimsuits and towels and a Netflix-equipped TV in the living room for your evening entertainment. Find full-size appliances in the nicely equipped kitchen, a gas grill just outside, and a dining table for four in the sunroom. When it's time to turn in for the evening, there's even window-unit air conditioning in each of the two bedrooms.

No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval.

Located at the end of Long Sands beach in a quite neighborhood, we are just a 2 minute walk from the sand at your feet. The cottage is within walking distance to York Village, Yorks Wild Kingdom, and many many Restaurants. This cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. It also has 2 dedicated parking spots. We are a Saturday-Saturday rental.

Located in a quite family friendly neighborhood, this cottage is good for young couples or small families.

There is deck with outdoor patio set great for relaxing or dining along with a gas grill for guest use.
