This carriage house apartment is located in a very quiet residential area of York Harbor. It is very comfortably furnished with a king-sized bed in the bedroom and two single beds in the loft suitable for younger more agile guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a washer and dryer too. There is a spectacular view of the ocean from either the living room or from the spacious deck.

It is just steps away from the water. Watch the sunrise over the horizon interrupted only by the silhouette of the famed Boon Island Light seven miles off shore. The Nubble Light is to the north and its flashing beacon is mesmerizing after dark. If there is a foggy day you may hear the distant fog horns from up to three lighthouses. Roaring Rock, a large crevasse which makes a thunderous noise when the seas are running from the northeast, is only a couple hundred feet away along the rocky shore and accessible to those nimble on foot.

Unit is located on the first level of home - Entrance to unit is accessed from the back of house. **Please be advised that our family lives upstairs during the summer. As this is an older home, some sound from upstairs can be heard below. During the week it is extremely quiet upstairs, but on weekends there’s a bit more activity. We do our best to minimize the disruptions.

That's a nice feature especially if you don't want to go out to a restaurant. There are 2 tvs to watch. Both are Smart tvs and ready to use with your streaming accounts. This is great if you have a rainy day or you just want to chill and watch some tv. This is our third year coming to Maine for a girls getaway and this rental is simply the best. We rented a different one the first year and would never, ever, ever go back. Julie knows what renters need and want. Check this rental out, you will not be disappointed."

This is a cozy and quiet studio, just steps from Long Sands Beach in beautiful York, ME. Our studio is located at the end of a 5 unit condo- part of the Courtesy Condominium Association.

You can sit right outside the unit and enjoy sun or shade and ocean views.

Our clean and cozy condo is perfectly located with everything you need. There's a 3 piece bathroom and a full kitchen.

There is parking for 2 cars-one in front of the unit and the other in the back.
No smoking, vamping or marijuana storage in the unit or on the property

- "We packed more then we needed to (of course) but had a great time. It is a lovely small condo that is perfect for 2 adults (no kids with us) but with the pullout Im sure it could fit a couple of kids. They had beach chairs available (which we didnt use because we brought our own (but didnt use)), very cushiony twin beds, a box with local menus and things to do maps, toaster oven, microwave and stove, k-cup coffeemaker and frig. We didnt have any cell service at the condo but they have wifi which was perfect. We have T-MOBILE service. Other places in York were spotty, one minute you had cell and internet and then nothing which wasnt a big deal but it takes a lot to get used to not using phone these days. Anyway, we had a great week, friendly neighbors and not too far from little local markets or a short ride to the grocery store. This condo is at the south York beach area and to get to the beach you have to go over rocks once down the stairs which is a pain. Also, this beach area does not have any ramps for wheelchairs or walkers. Very disappointed in York for this issue but hopefully they will eventually add one without rocks for people to use. The sand is packed down (not fluffy sand at all) which I love! The cold water invigorates and we love it! Hopefully we will be back next year."

This freshly updated, cozy studio cottage is located just 200 yards from Long Sands Beach. This cottage has 1 queen bed & 1 full size bed, sleeping 4 people. It provides the perfect get away for a couple or a small family. It is a studio, so there are no walls separating the bedroom.

The kitchen has all the essentials for preparing meals. There is a Keurig so bring your pods. There is a dining area for four. There is a screened in porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a good book.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a shared yard which provides a nice outside area for the kids to play after a day at the beach. The yard includes picnic tables and a gas fire pit table. Gas grills are provide so you barbecue your favorite foods and enjoy your meal at the picnic table or on your deck.

There are 2 washers and dryers in the basement and are free for our guests to use. There are some boggie boards and sand toys in the basement for the kids to enjoy.

Our apartment offers more space, privacy, and amenities than local hotels. It features an open floor plan with a spacious layout, two bathrooms, and a bedroom on the upper level. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking inside or outside. The first floor has a kitchen, living room, and a 1/2 bathroom overlooking one of our many gardens. The second floor also looks over the garden and has a queen Tempra mattress for a comfortable night's sleep, a working space, a 1/2 bathroom, and a washer and dryer. You can also enjoy a large private porch surrounded by lush gardens that change weekly, complete with patio furniture, a table for two, and a gas grill. You can explore our gardens or visit the butterfly garden. We also provide a selection of books and games throughout the apartment for your enjoyment.

Your privacy and comfort are important to us. You have two private entrances and a porch surrounded by gardens. You share the driveway with the owners and can walk the property anytime. Please note that the main house and apartments share a wall; however, we are a quiet family of three. Sometimes you may see us working on the lawn or walking, but we do our best to give you a private relaxing experience.

Owner was very welcoming and gracious. Really the best ever . . ."

- "Looked for a small space for 2 beach side, and found it here. Very small studio with all the essentials for a short stay. Did have an issue with no where to keep outfits that needed to stay hung up, only two hooks next to the restroom toilet. If you don't mind bumping into each other this will work for you, don't overlook it!! Enjoyed breakfast and lunch on the bistro set and played cards one night listening to the band playing at the bathhouse just a short walk away. Covered parking for two vehicles and easy access from the back private alley. Wonderful stay with many memories walking the beach multiple times daily!! We'll be back for sure!!"

- "You never know whether you can trust a rentals propertys amenities list but this property went above and beyond the listed amenities. K cups, wood for the bonfire, femanine products, soaps, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath sugar cubes baggies, matches, extra foam cushion for the sofa sleeper were a bunch of extras that we found extremely thoughtful. Also there were 2 AC conditioners to keep the whole place cool and not just a bedroom. It was very nice, but a little too far from the beach to ride our bikes but otherwise a fabulous place and super duper comfortable king size bed."

- "We had a great time at this property. It is clean and surprising has a good amount of room. My only complaint is the bathroom. The toilet is SO CLOSE to the sink that it makes it very hard to use the bathroom. If it was replaced with a pedestal sink that would make more room. The beach is directly across the street but it is the rocky part of the beach which is fine if you are stable on your feet but if you have an older person with you it will pose a problem. Those are my only two complaints which seem minor to me so I still gave 5 stars for a great vacation."

- "What an amazing experience we had at the cottage/carriage house at Long Sands Beach during the end of August in York, Maine. Our family enjoyed beautiful ocean views, and a 12 second walk to the beach each and every day with a magical call experience while we surfed at Long Sands. We enjoyed every sunrise and every sunset on the picturesque deck, and enjoyed the stars by a beautiful campfire, which was private to us in our own backyard. - "It was right across from the beach" - "This was an incredible bang for your buck! Awesome location, across the street from the beach. Nothing’s better than waking up to the sound of the waves! The furniture was well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. I would ahave given 5 stars, if not for having to wash everything we used. The pans were still a bit greasy and there was food residue on the roasting pan. Otherwise I would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

- "The Playhouse was a great place to stay for a couple days over Labor Day weekend. It was so easy to get to Ogunquit and York and the place was perfect!" - "The Playhouse is a very clean, quiet, restful area. It was a pleasure to stay and experience the town York. The only infora to be careful of is, when I booked, the Playhouse the description stated room for 4 guests which is true. However, it is ideal for 2 adults with 2 children versus 4 adults, which creates an awkward moment of who gets the King bedroom versus who sleeps in the two twins, one of which rolls out from under the other twin bed. All in all, great place to stay."

- "Clean, modern and spacious. Breakfast nook had small counter with two chairs. It did have a coffee pot and microwave. Very spartan. Only plastic utensils. No plates or napkins. And no way to wash glasses and cups. No dish towel. But there was a wine opener. The check in process was far too long and complicated. You will never regret renting this lovely one bedroom apartment right on Long Sands Beach. Built in 2012, everything is still brand new! The deck, with it's unobstructed bold ocean front views will amaze you! Sit there and watch the sunrise over the Atlantic, walk across the street for fun in the sun all day, and then enjoy a glass of wine on the deck as you watch the sunset. This is such a wonderful setting to simply relax and enjoy all Maine has to offer. The unit features central air, cheerful kitchen and tons of windows to view the ocean. The glass enclosed deck allows you to sit and watch the waves splashing and the people strolling on the beach. The unit has one bedroom with a queen bed and a fold down futon in the living room. New kitchen and new bath means you do not have to worry about coming in to a rental only to find it is not updated and not clean. This unit is delightful! The house is conveniently located steps away from Long Sands General Store. Locally owned and operated, this is the gathering spot for your morning coffee, a great take out lunch or any last minute items you need for a picnic at the beach. Just a few more steps down the beach, enjoy a summer cocktail, light lunch or very nice dinner at the Stone's Throw Restaurant. Jump on the trolley or walk to downtown York Beach. There, you will find many more restaurants, bars, shopping, a great playground for the kids and York's Wild Kingdom. This is a zoo and small amusement park. Play mini-golf, ride the Carousel, see the animals and enjoy some cotton candy. There is a spiral staircase to access the apartment. Parking for one small car or small SUV only. Outdoor shower. We require a minimum stay of 7 nights during the summer and unfortunately, we do not accept pets. Finally, there is no smoking on the property, which means the balcony too. We appreciate your cooperation with this.

Step out the front door and the sunbathing, surfing, paddleboarding, and sandcastle making begins! Early risers will see the sun peek over the Atlantic Ocean. Late night strolls along the quiet beach under a million stars are heavenly! Shops, Nubble Light, York Harbor, and tourist attractions are just minutes away.

Three large picture windows bring the seascapes right into the open living/dining area. Whether relaxing on the sofa or enjoying a meal at the table, you have beautiful views of the ocean, the beach, the Nubble, and your friends on the beach. A fully equipped kitchen will make it easy to prepare meals, and a lobster pot, shell crackers, and clam knives allow you to enjoy fresh seafood. Napkins, basic condiments, herbs, and spices are provided, as well as coffee pods for the Keurig machine and assorted teas for the electric kettle. Cupboards are stocked with dishes, glasses, mugs, wine glasses, and flatware for 8. Guests sleep in 2 queen bedrooms equipped with luggage racks, dressers, closets, and ceiling fans. Bed linens, bath sheets, hand towels, washcloths, beach towels, throws, and extra blankets are plentiful. The bathroom has a single sink with a large countertop. Guests are welcome to use the shampoo and shower gel in the walk-in shower. A washer, dryer, and detergent, and first aid kit are also in the bathroom. The condo includes 2 parking spots in the rear private parking lot. 15 steps lead from the parking lot up to the kitchen door in the back of the condo. Three steps lead from the beachfront door to the sidewalk.

Guest access
Guests have the whole condo to themselves. Two designated parking spots will only be used by condo renters. Designated seating and a small table and umbrella belong to the Sea Snug on the beachfront patio shared with one other unit. A small locked storage room adjacent to the parking lot is ideal for storing surfboards and other large items. This storage room is shared with the other condo units.

Other things to note
A covered stairwell of 15 steps allows access to the Sea Snug from the parking area. If stairs pose a difficulty, you can briefly park in front of the condo on Long Beach Ave. to unload and access the Sea Snug from the front, where there are just 3 steps. Driving up and parking in the front can be difficult on weekends and during the busiest beach hours because of traffic, but it is possible. Herbs, spices, condiments, and some basic food items are available for the convenience of our guests. However, the owners are not responsible for any adverse effects experienced by the consumption of these items.

This studio unit is located just over 200 steps to Long Sands Beach. It is the perfect space and location for a couple or small family. There are 2 beds, one full sized and one queen, and a couch so it can sleep up to 4 guests. There is wifi, cable TV and a phone. The kitchen is fully stocked and a dining area that can accommodate 4 people. There is a deck outside the kitchen with a table and chairs to relax at.

Our place is very close to the Beach, it is just over 200 steps to Long Sands Beach. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids). Provides great outdoor space with privacy.

The apartment has a full sized bed and a queen bed, with a brand new matress, a galley kitchen, kitchen table with 4 chairs, a screened in porch with a sofa. Off the screened in porch is a semi private deck with an outdoor eating area. There is plenty of off street parking.

The space
Unit B is the 2nd and 3rd floors with 4 spacious bedrooms. Access to the unit is up a flight of stairs via the back deck into a mudroom, and then another set of stairs up to the main entrance of the unit. The 2nd floor has a large full eat-in kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms (one with bunk twin beds and another with two twin beds). A walk up the stairs to the 3rd floor to access two larger BRs, each with a queen bed, along with a full bathroom with tub & shower. The unit includes free Wifi, Smart TV, Washer & Dryer, beach toys, heat/AC, almost everything you could want/need for your stay. The only items that are not provided are toiletries, and replenishment of necessities (toilet paper, paper towels). There is plentiful off-street parking in back of the house via driveway for up to 4 vehicles (please just let us know if you have more and we may be able to accommodate). Please see House Rules section for further guidance on parking.

Guest access
Main entrance is from the back deck next to the garage. There are two sets of stairs to reach the 2nd floor unit and another to access the bathroom on the 3rd floor, which may be important for those that have trouble with stairs.

Parking: There is room for 4 guest cars without blocking anyone in, including the 1st floor tenants (2 cars). Please park tandem all the way in the back next to the white fence, one car in front of the white fence and one car in between the garage and the back deck (turn around spot). If you need accommodations for more than 4 guest cars, please send us a message and we can try and work something out. Please, no parking in the shared driveway as you will block all traffic including our 1st floor tenants.

If you’re looking for more space and amenities than staying in a hotel room, but still want the cleanliness and professionalism you’d expect from one, then you may enjoy staying here. Our spacious 3 room, 1,200 square foot historic (c. 1670) one bedroom apartment for two guests has exposed beams, wide pine floors, full bath, kitchenette, and is just a short walk to Long Sands Beach or a short drive to York Beach, York Harbor, or York Village.

The space
The Preble House is one of the oldest houses in America and our guests are welcome to guess its true age. It has been completely restored with a large "barn" addition which is sometimes available as an Airbnb, Comfortable Casual. Our guests have exclusive of the dining room with kitchenette, featuring a fridge, two burner electric cooktop, and microwave and all the cookware and service ware and condiments you'll need. The kitchenette is great for breakfast and lunch but it will not satisfy a gourmet chef! We will make sure the fridge is stocked with milk and waters. The pantry will have cereals and some snacks. (We do not, however, allow the use of the fireplace due to insurance restrictions.)

While there’s plenty to do in York and the surrounding area, in case you’re looking to stay in if the weather’s bad, there is a 65" plasma TV with Roku enabled access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. and a smaller TV in the bedroom. Switch to cable for major networks and more. You'll have your own secured wifi.

We've got a few beach chairs and towels so you won’t need to pack those bulky items for your trip!

There's a bridge at the end of Bayview for a short cut to the ocean and we'll give you our secret spots when high tide forces everyone off the beach.

We do charge a pretty hefty cleaning fee, not just because it's a big space to clean after each guest, but also to encourage multiple night stays. And sorry, we are NOT childproofed and unfortunately must decline to host guests with small children unless we are convinced it will be a safe and comfortable stay.
