Easy access, right of the road and near great places in MA and VT but you could just hang out here and escape it all. The road is close but still very private. Owner is super nice and communicative and Sandy the manager is just fantastic. And if the downstairs is anything like the upstairs, just know that the pictures are exactly what you get so I would trust the downstairs is as perfect as the upstairs. If you are bringing pets, they were so nice and accommodating. The rules are crystal clear and they even laid out sheets so our dogs could sit on one of the sofas with us! We'd absolutely come again!"

The main house is within view, but only as much as an average neighbor would be. The last three miles to the house have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's 10 minutes to the main road, but right there is a GREAT bakery/breakfast restaurant. - "There were multiple issues with this unit mainly pertaining to our access. There were multiple issues with the vacasa key pad and the code not working. When we arrived, the code was improperly regenerated and we were not able to access the house for more than 30 minutes. We were then given a temporary code (although not told it was temporary) and able to get in. On the second night we were also unable to get in to the house. We called again and were told that the new code we had been given had expired and we should have been given a back up key located in a lock box. The lock box was outside the door that was covered in ice leading up to it making it treacherous to access. This is apparently an ongoing issue with this unit and we had to wait another 30 minutes on the second night to get inside. The accommodations inside were nice overall, but there were a few issues. The designated parking space that we were given in the check in instructions was in use and the garage code did not open the other side of the garage so we had to park outside. The front door was covered in ice so it was dangerous to access. Additionally, there were not enough pillows and the toilet did not always flush fully. The wifi name that was posted on the wall was incorrect, but the password worked after guessing at which account it was. "

The space
As soon as you enter, you'll be greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The condo has been recently updated with all new furniture, appliances, decor, and all lofty, ethically sourced, hypoallergenic RDS certified down and feathers comforters, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Start your day off right by waking up to the delicious smell of freshly baked donuts from Willoughby's, just downstairs. Our studio apartment is located minutes from Bennington College, and sits on 7 acres of land in the Grn. Mtn. National Forest. It's on the second floor of our home (above the garage) through a private entrance with a personal deck and outdoor seating. Take an afternoon stroll to the Mile Around Woods, or day hike to the white rocks! Walk the Ninja trail from the college to see the historic covered bridges, or drive 20-30 miles N to enjoy Vermont's best skiing, and shopping at designer outlets!

The space
This studio apartment has a private entrance to the right of the house up a flight of well lit stairs. NEW STAIRS AND DECK JUST BUILT! NEWLY FINISHED WOOD FLOORS AND FRESH PAINT IN APARTMENT!! There is a queen bed for 2 guests, but also will accommodate an additional guest to sleep on the couch for a small nightly fee.

- Enjoy the plush bath towels and lux sheets. Extra pillows and blankets in closet.

- Fully stocked kitchenette- wine glasses, mini smoothie blender, baking dishes, utensils, food storage containers, microwave, toaster oven, dish cloths, olive oil, salt, pepper, seasoning, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc.

- There is a room fan available and 8 windows that can be opened to let in the fresh VT air! Please keep all windows and doors closed if it's raining or snowing.

- There is a TV, a Firestick and a "smart" DVD player for Netflix and Prime video, but no cable or basic cable TV provided at all.

- There is a drip coffee maker with a reusable filter basket.

- Our Wifi booster works great in the space- the latest speed test results: 144 mbps download. 11.7 mbps upload. Latency: 16 ms. "Should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, and gaming at the same time. "

- Bathroom does not have an outlet, oddly enough, so you'll find the hair dryer in the closet. There is an outlet in the closet near the vacuum, and a mirror on the inside of the door.

- We do have a septic system so please DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper!

- House rules:
1. NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY KIND INSIDE APARTMENT, OR OUTSIDE ON DECK WHILE DOORS OR WINDOWS ARE OPEN ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE.

The two bigger dogs have a wireless fence that should prevent them from entering the driveway and the guest space. Please do not come to our front door, as this is dog territory. This beautiful retreat is halfway between the ski slopes of southern Vermont and the cultural centers of Williamstown and North Adams, MA. The residence is a modern, spacious, basement apartment, part of an 1860 farm house. It has its own private entrance around the back of the house at ground level. Solar garden lights and motion detector lighting will illuminate your path to the apartment.

Guests will have full access to the entire downstairs level, which includes a fully equipped galley kitchen with breakfast bar, open floor plan living area, TV with cable and Netflix access and dining area with seating for 6, one bedroom with a queen size bed and cable TV . There are also two queen size air mattresses and a large sectional couch for additional sleeping options. The bedroom has an antique rope bed (made into a platform bed w/modern, firm mattress (soy!). The full bath has plenty of light & air.

Hot tub, newly installed, is for the private use of this rental's guests, and is located out of sight on a pergola adjacent to the private fire pit!

This is the guest residence of our former home and is actually a small portion of a 10,000 sf renovated barn complex which includes our former studio and gallery, both now closed, as well as ample areas for outdoor living with hot tub, pool, courtyard, and large yard.

The original barn was converted to retail in the 60's when US Route 7, a main artery from Long Island Sound to the Canadian border, was relocated.

There are sleeping accommodations for 6 people but we prefer to have no more than 4 adults as to not overtax the infrastructure. Guest apartment is a wholly separate space that can be accessed from its own entrance or, by special arrangement, through the service entrance.

Note to potential guests: 99% of our guests love staying here, return and/or recommend us to their friends. The other fraction of a percent have a problem with an occasional mouse "leave-behind", the proximity to a busy road, and any number of other farm-related issues. It is not some architectural masterpiece, just a cozy place to snuggle down in front of an inviting fire or maybe a movie you missed a few years back.

If these things bother you please do not rent from us! We do our best to keep certain annoyances like mice under control, but we depend on good reviews and a good rental season to cover the cost of owning this rural treasure.

Please arrange your approximate check-in time in advance. With advanced notice, very late arrivals can be accommodated.

Parking is in the lot in front of the building and can accommodate a dozen vehicles or more.

Local transportation is available by bus, Green Mountain Express; and Walt's Taxi, Uber, and Lyft (most likely evenings and weekends only.)

You do not share this apartment with anyone else. We give you the key to your own ground floor entrance and leave you alone to enjoy all the facilities according to the season and your preferences.

You may arrange for a luggage drop-off, handicapped entrance, or possibly just sitting by the pool when you arrive early.

The seasonal pool and yard are for both guests to enjoy.

The courtyard, while leading to the neighbor's second-floor entrance, is for your seasonal grilling and outdoor dining use.

This rental now has a hot tub reserved solely for the use of its residents located with the fIre pit on the east side of the building affording ultimate privacy. During winter month's the fire pit may be relocated to the courtyard for everyone's ease of use.

Airbnb is now collecting and remitting VT occupancy tax which is included in your total remittance.

please treat toilet with extreme care -- not too much toilet paper per flush and nothing unusual down toilet. Plumbing under concrete floor is very delicate!

The space
This apt, located right in Manchester, is the perfect space for those who ski and those who don't. As one of our more affordable properties it also provides a great space for those who need longer stays.
