Cute cottage in a quiet area close to all the action in the York Beach area. ¼ mile to Short Sands Beach and ¾ mile to Long Sands Beach and the scenic Nubble Light House. Restaurants, shops, arcades and entertainment are just a short walk away.
Cottage is nicely decorated and sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other has bunk beds. There is also a full futon in the Living Room for an overnight guest or two. Open concept living room and kitchen area. Large outdoor patio area has lots of chairs for hanging out and has a dining table and gas grill. Patio is tucked away in an area with a canopy of trees. There is also a small front deck on the cabin with chairs for enjoying your morning coffee. Sheets and towels can be rented for $40 per room/double occupancy ($20 for just sheets).

This off-grid cabin is the perfect place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle. It is located on a pond surrounded by 6 square miles of resource protection land, with miles of hiking and biking trails nearby. The cabin features a loft with a queen bed, a catwalk with stunning views of the pond, a 2nd story deck with a gas grill, kayaks and canoes available for use, and a picnic table and Adirondack chairs in the outdoor living area.

York Beach is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Maine. Long Sands Beach is a wide, sandy beach that is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles. Short Sands Beach is a smaller, more intimate beach that is perfect for families with young children. And Nubble Lighthouse Beach is a rocky beach that offers stunning views of the lighthouse and the ocean.
York Beach offers a variety of activities for families to enjoy. You can go swimming, sunbathing, and surfing at the beach. You can also go hiking, biking, and fishing in the surrounding area. And there are plenty of arcades, mini-golf courses, and amusement parks to keep everyone entertained.
York Beach has a variety of restaurants to choose from, serving up everything from casual seafood to fine dining. You can also find plenty of ice cream shops, candy stores, and bakeries to satisfy your sweet tooth.

The Cabin is a modern yet rustic getaway in York, Maine. Located on a private picturesque property next to our contemporary passive solar residence, we’re just minutes from beaches, historic York village, theaters, shops and museums as well as numerous opportunities for hiking and bicycling.
The space
Unique open concept, architecturally designed cabin, naturally lit by day, cozy and charming by night.
*NOTE The cabin has electricity but NO RUNNING WATER. There is an easy to use compost toilet and potable water provided from our well for filling up water bottles and washing. You’ll have access to an enclosed outside hot shower adjacent to the main house (50 feet from the cabin).
The camp style kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, electric induction cook top and is supplied with cold breakfast foods. We provide linens and towels and Dr. Bonners soap.
Sleep space consists of 2 short full mattresses in the loft.
Downstairs there is a futon couch that folds down into a full size bed. There is WiFi but it can be spotty. DO NOT expect to rely on the internet for work.
Guest access
A small private patio with fire place is just outside your door. Blueberries are plentiful late July to mid-August in front of the cabin. Guests should feel free to pick berries to add to their breakfasts. Red, our sweet tabby cat, greets everybody and loves attention.
Other things to note
Please bring your own refillable water bottles so you can avoid purchasing bottled water. We provide plenty of potable water from our well.
We ask that guests use the reusable grocery bags provided to reduce disposable single use bags.
The cabin is suited for 2 guests. An additional guest will be considered upon request for a $15 nightly charge.
