Nuestro hotel es el resultado de la transformación de una casa ya existente. Primero se construyó como una casa familiar y vio crecer a una familia durante unos veinte años antes de convertirse en la comisaría de Rincón del Mar. La idea era no distorsionar completamente el lugar para poder conservar su historia haciendo algunos recordatorios ligeros.
Se llama “ Nugeku ” que significa “aquello que perdura” en lengua Arhuaca. El nombre no fue elegido al azar porque nuestro hotel pretende ser sostenible en varios aspectos:
Máximo uso de materiales orgánicos, locales y sostenibles .
El uso de técnicas ancestrales como forma de proteger a la madre tierra manteniendo un cierto confort. Para ello colaboramos con dos amigos arquitectos apasionados especializados en bioconstrucción.
El deseo de trabajar con los trabajadores de la región por todos nuestros logros.
El deseo de resaltar el talento de estos artistas locales exponiendo buena parte de su obra en nuestro hotel.
El deseo sistemático de trabajar lo más posible en la recuperación de cada material previamente existente en la casa pero también de los residuos de materiales utilizados durante las nuevas construcciones, “todo se transforma”.
Educación continua mostrando las diferentes etapas de construcción de técnicas ancestrales como el uso de la tierra como construcción de muros por ejemplo.
Trabajando en colaboración con la estación de clasificación del pequeño pueblo.
El deseo de resaltar la artesanía local exhibiendo productos de artistas e invirtiendo en una familia Zenú para la fabricación de artesanías de caña flecha.
El deseo de poner en valor la cultura local organizando conciertos de música, canto y danza tradicionales.
El deseo de compartir un cierto conocimiento ancestral adquirido a través de un primer proyecto con una comunidad Arhuaca a largo plazo. Nuestro hotel fue nombrado así por nuestro amigo Mamo Duavico Chaparro.
Sientete Tranquilo, inspirado y queremos que toda persona que se aloje en Nugeku pueda disfrutar no solo de las tranquilas playas de Rincon, sino que además pueda, dar un pequeño paseo por sus alrededores de gran biodiversidad animal, conozca casa de oso perezoso, aprenda de los manglares, y las actividades de plancton Fluoresente, visita a las islas, cabalgatas etc.

Cabin surrounded by large trees, next to a countryside where cows and donkeys graze, in front of a mangrove reserve and five blocks from the sea. Ideal for healing from worldly ailments, pollution and recovering our wild essence.
The rooms:Van Gogh, Frida, Macondo, Titanic, Caracola marina and Mangle, a hammock to lie down and do nothing, an old library that is a tribute to the sea's playgrounds and a moon bath to play with nudity and night.
The space
The verses of Niña Zaira is a GREEN and BLUE space, where you can enjoy the peace and freshness of the green country life and the blue life of the sea.
It is the right of a homemade orchard where vegetables and flowers are harvested and borders on the one hand with a forest reserve of mangroves and on the other hand with a permanent paddock where cows and donkeys are permanently grazed, a privileged location allows the observation of diverse birds, crabs, iguanas, anteaters and raccoons.
But also just three blocks away on foot through the main entrance of the village is the most beautiful and natural sea in the world, with an extensive white sand beach adorned with many trees and lilies.

Casa Majanicho is ready to premiere, spacious, with natural ventilation and lighting. It is surrounded by vegetation, in a nature reserve.
It is important to note that this is a house in the countryside. Since the land is unpaved, to get to the house there is a small hill 40 meters long. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
The space
Casa Majanicho was designed for the comfort and relaxation of its guests. It is surrounded by greenery and all spaces have large windows with very nice views, as it is discreetly elevated from the other houses.
The rooms have large closets and full bathrooms.
The patio is spacious, with a barbecue grill option, an auxiliary bathroom, and a clothes hanger.
Dining room and kitchen in the same environment, recreate a cozy living room with enough space for several people, in different simultaneous activities.
Casa Majanicho is located on the top of a small hill, at the end of a single street, in the Los Campanos sector of Rincón del Mar, just 1.5 km from a beautiful beach, a fortunate distance for a quiet stay, with less noise and congestion, especially in certain more touristy seasons or weekends.
Guest access
The property is accessible on foot, transportation stops very close by, and street parking is available at one of the hostesses' homes.
Water is a very precious commodity in the region, so this service should be used consciously and in good faith due to the scarcity of this resource.
Upon arrival, you will have 1 bottle of 20L drinking water available for your consumption. When it runs out, you can notify the hosts to help you buy the additional ones you need from your account.
The house does not have a washing machine. However, if you need laundry service, you can ask the host for it as an additional service.
Other things to note
Barbecue utensils do not include charcoal, but we're happy to help you manage what you need if you want to have a barbecue on
the terrace.
The accommodation includes gas service for cooking and body towels. You'll need to bring your own toiletries and dishwashing soap.
