- "Serenity" - "The location and facilities are fantastic. The view and sunset is breathtaking, the pools and sunbeds are nice and not overly crowded and the beautiful flowers and trees all over. We stayed the first week in a 2BR villa with 3 adults and two children. It was nice and spacious with lots of privacy as the rooms were in opposite ends of the villa. We had the most lovely cleaning lady Mirela who met us with the biggest smile every day. The next week we stayed in an Island suite with a jacuzzi and sea view. Also a very nice room. The service on the hotel overall is not 5 stars which is such a pity. The reception is strict and not accommodating, and the hotel is clearly understaffed in the buffet, beach bar etc. constantly running out of stuff (ice creme, drinks etc), and the ala cart often also is out of stuff. I also dislike that there are no cocktails included in the AI (pina colada, mojito) - paying customers get nice glasses and AI get plastic cups all day. I really wish the hotel would staff up and stop all the unnecessary restrictions. The staff is clearly under too much pressure, which makes the guests unhappy and so it continues. The main buffet also needs more food and stuff, if you are not there when they open half of the stuff will be out (meats, desserts etc). A few people standout though: George and Minela in the Pool bar, Nick in the Payot, Jaruz in breakfast coffee, Abdul in the pancake stand, and Dora in the reception. "

My ocean view suite was spacious and well appointed and maintained. The private sand beaches are quite nice there are four of them. The resort is very large with plenty of dining options which they provide a 30 euro discount. Had dinner at the Peruvian/Japenese restaurant and it was great. The service was very excellent overall, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The lobby is dated and would truly benefit from a contemporary refresh, first impressions are important. There are very nice water sport offerings for an extra charge but reasonable. The gym is very nice there are a few, and you have quite a few pools to chose from. The location is paradise with sweeping views of the see and mountains. Upgrading your room is well worth it. Highly recommend for a relaxing time in Eastern Crete. A taxi into town Agios Nikolaus is 15 euros and 15 minutes. The town is very charming with plenty to do, shopping, dinning and bars. "

- "A beautiful week spent here - all staff wonderful,couldn't do enough to help, polite and pleasant, especially Maria our Mythica hostess and all of the Spa team. Everything/everyone is so relaxed and relaxing.... Yes, there are things to have a wee moan about if you want to (the All Inclusive is not totally all inclusive, which can be a bit tedious, the pool area is very small for the size of the hotel, but there is ample area down by the beach and seafront - we are late risers so not too fazed by it - a tip if you are, is to book a swim-up room). But everything good about this hotel far outweighs those factors - the location, the views, the staff, the food, the rooms, the Spa. Loved it."
