- "Serenity" - "The location and facilities are fantastic. The view and sunset is breathtaking, the pools and sunbeds are nice and not overly crowded and the beautiful flowers and trees all over. We stayed the first week in a 2BR villa with 3 adults and two children. It was nice and spacious with lots of privacy as the rooms were in opposite ends of the villa. We had the most lovely cleaning lady Mirela who met us with the biggest smile every day. The next week we stayed in an Island suite with a jacuzzi and sea view. Also a very nice room. The service on the hotel overall is not 5 stars which is such a pity. The reception is strict and not accommodating, and the hotel is clearly understaffed in the buffet, beach bar etc. constantly running out of stuff (ice creme, drinks etc), and the ala cart often also is out of stuff. I also dislike that there are no cocktails included in the AI (pina colada, mojito) - paying customers get nice glasses and AI get plastic cups all day. I really wish the hotel would staff up and stop all the unnecessary restrictions. The staff is clearly under too much pressure, which makes the guests unhappy and so it continues. The main buffet also needs more food and stuff, if you are not there when they open half of the stuff will be out (meats, desserts etc). A few people standout though: George and Minela in the Pool bar, Nick in the Payot, Jaruz in breakfast coffee, Abdul in the pancake stand, and Dora in the reception. "

The resort is very large with plenty of dining options which they provide a 30 euro discount. Had dinner at the Peruvian/Japenese restaurant and it was great. The service was very excellent overall, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The lobby is dated and would truly benefit from a contemporary refresh, first impressions are important. There are very nice water sport offerings for an extra charge but reasonable. The gym is very nice there are a few, and you have quite a few pools to chose from. The location is paradise with sweeping views of the see and mountains. Upgrading your room is well worth it. Highly recommend for a relaxing time in Eastern Crete. A taxi into town Agios Nikolaus is 15 euros and 15 minutes. The town is very charming with plenty to do, shopping, dinning and bars. "

- "A beautiful week spent here - all staff wonderful,couldn't do enough to help, polite and pleasant, especially Maria our Mythica hostess and all of the Spa team. Everything/everyone is so relaxed and relaxing.... Yes, there are things to have a wee moan about if you want to (the All Inclusive is not totally all inclusive, which can be a bit tedious, the pool area is very small for the size of the hotel, but there is ample area down by the beach and seafront - we are late risers so not too fazed by it - a tip if you are, is to book a swim-up room). But everything good about this hotel far outweighs those factors - the location, the views, the staff, the food, the rooms, the Spa. Loved it."

We have been to many all inclusive resorts and this may have been our favourite: amazing ocean view, updated rooms, buffet options, water park. We were given an upgrade on our room - from a deluxe suite with pool to a bungalow with pool and ocean view. The pool was so relaxing and beautiful, I would say we spent half of our time there. We did the all inclusive package and were not disappointed- the options at the buffet were plentiful, fresh, and delicious. However, all inclusive in Europe is different than all inclusive in the Caribbean - included drinks end at 11:30 pm, you can only dine at ala carte restaurants if you want to pay or if you stay a minimum 4 nights (one ala carte meal is included), not all the bars include your drinks (we were at the waterpark and got two bottles of water and were asked for our room number to charge them to, which was fine), 3 meals are served per day at designated times, and there is a small snack bar- but nothing crazy. The shuttle from the airport is not included and costs €85 each way by taxi and takes about 60 mins. Everyone was friendly and helpful! We spent an afternoon in town (€8 euro taxi from the hotel) and it was even better - the people, the shopping, cannot say good enough things about the people of Crete/ Agios Nikolaos. Nothing is crazy overpriced and they are happy when you are happy! Would love to return. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!"
