- "I had a lovely stay here and would come again. I will say that while the property is clean and the staff take care of it, it does need a little lick of paint here and there but overall it is a beautiful location and a true place to relax and recoup. I was disappointed that there wasn't yoga classes as posted, but I was able to book a private class with a teacher, who was great. Booked with their masseuse a few times as she was WONDERFUL (Rose if I remember rightly) Handy swimming pool right outside my room (salt). And a little general store on site which after realizing that Plakias is a 15min drive away, was good to have on hand. Scuba diving in the cove was gorgeous and there was a little spot you could jump straight into the ocean near the main pool. The cove is not the beach however, the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and up some very steep stairs. The view is amazing, but I'd recommend wearing solid walking shoes as there is loose gravel/rocks and the drop to the ocean is sheer. The entertainment was mediocre to be honest, and the location would benefit from a karaoke night in my opinion. All-inclusive does not include all drinks, beer and wine only. But the food was decent enough to not bother going into the town except for a treat. Great nudist beach nearby in Plakias, with regular beach down the road. Lovely little town. "

- "The hotel is smart, but nothing happens there. Eg. There is a rooftop bar and pool but no one uses it because it is not stocked and there is no encouragement to use it. The same with the bar and lounge on the ground floor. The rooms are comfortable and smart, but could do with Coffee & Tea making facilities. There is a small fridge but this could do with being bigger. The bathroom is a good size but does not have a shower screen or curtain so the floor gets wet. In our case the shower cable was to short to put the shower head in its wall socket. Not enough effort and thought has been put into the details of what it is like to stay in that room."

We arrived late and were still offered dinner, there was everything we needed in the room inclusive of coffee machine and coffee, waters and utensils, air conditioning a huge bonus, freshly clean sheets, a drying rack for putting our wet bathing suits on our private balcony, a table and two chairs to move out there as well. Sun blocking curtains, a mosquito net to the sliding door so we could wake up with the sunrise, in the post peaceful, quiet area at the foot of the canyon. A two minute walk to the beachfront where you can rent umbrellas and lounge, and also located is the base of the small hiking trail to get to the palm forest. We started this journey back in August 2022. Our hotel was named nerea after the sea deity of ancient Greece, Nereus, predecessor of god Poseidon. His name derived from Greek νηρός (nerós) meaning "water". In Greek mythology this was the name of a god of the sea, the father of the Nereids. Nerea is a brand new adults-friendly hideaway, infused with the honesty of natural materials and the traditional construction techniques found in Cretan Architecture, elegantly rooted in its seaside context. The spaces are enhanced with organic textures and crafted objects. The design result is an atmospheric experience that celebrates beach culture.
