This family owned 2 bedroom villa is licensed by the Greek Tourist Authority (E.O.T) and complies with all required regulations. The villa situated 50 metres from the beach and the centre of Elounda is beautifully decorated and furnished with air conditioning throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped if you do not wish to eat out. The open plan lounge and dining area offers flat screen TV with satellite channels, internet connection, selection of DVDs, books and a Bose docking station.The Villa has a downstairs cloakroom and both double bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. Outside the villa is a small pool and the patio is furnished with sofas, sunbeds, table and chairs.

Elounda once a small fishing village is now a growing modern town that still retains a certain charm. An appealing mixture of old and new. Sissi and Malia ,15 min drive away from the villa will encounter a lot of beautiful beaches with sand, a lot of big super markets, intertaiment , restaurants and cafes.
Half an hour driving will find the small town of Elounda, famous for its exclusive resorts. This town and nearby areas like "Plaka" grew even more famous following the release of the book “The Island” by Victoria Hislop in 2005 depicting life on the island of Spinalonga. Plaka has great pebble beach with crystal clear waters, and a lot of fish restaurants.
Agios Nikolaos 25 km from villa is a lovely small city with a vibrant cafe and bar atmosphere day and night.
Hersonisos, Ierapetra, Sitia, are also popular destinations with cosmopolitan life.
At Vai about one and a half hour drive from Milatos, will find the largest palm forest in Europe.
Inland close to Milatos find kritsa, Mochos, Lasithi plateau, Krasi , traditional villages, worth visit them.
Historic Knossos is an hour's drive near Heraklion.
Heraklion is the capital of Crete and the fifth-largest city in Greece.
For lovers of travel little longer distance for excursions, worth visit the other two major cities of Crete Rethymnon and Chania.
You make a small trip about three hour ride from Milatos and enjoy throughout northern or southern side an interesting route of the island.

WINTER
Villa is suitable for holidays almost all year round, having wonderful stay also in winter until 10 of January. The fireplace , the view of the rough sea and weather changes, leaves beautiful impressions not described with words. Provide from 1 November to 10 January firewood.
For heating oil pay a small additional charge depending on length of stay.
There is no use of swimming pool in the Winter, so the price of the villa is quite satisfactory from 1 of November until 10 of Jenuary. For more than 10 days stay is made a special offer. Suitable also for lovely Christmas celebrations.

Karfi is a detached 3-storey villa set in olive groves just outside the beautiful fishing village of Elounda. With private pool & garden, 2.5 balconies with sea and mountain views, 3 double rooms, 2 bathrooms, and full aircon, it sleeps 6. Less than 10 minutes' walk from the village centre, with its lively bars, shops and restaurants the villa also has a fully-equipped kitchen (including washing machine) and is perfect for self-catering. Villa Karfi is situated down a private driveway surrounded by olive groves, yet is only a (genuine!) 10-minute walk from the centre of the bustling fishing village of Elounda with its Blue Flag-awarded beach and many bars, restaurants and shops. The 3-storey villa has its own secluded garden with flowers, shrubs, and fruit trees, and its own private pool (6m by 4m, available from April to mid-November) with 6 sun loungers, large parasol, and outdoor shower. Elounda and the local area

Elounda and its local area has something to offer for people of all ages and interests, and Villa Karfi’s location means that many of these can be enjoyed without the need to hire a car. Elounda’s sandy Blue Flag beach is award-winning for its cleanliness, and offers inexpensive sunloungers and warm, calm shallow water ideal for swimming. Elounda is near to several important archaeological sites of interest, including the epicentre of Minoan civilisation, Knossos, which is an hour’s drive away, and the sunken city of Olous from which the town takes its name. Centred on a busy square with its church, 2 supermarkets (both of which stay open late), several cafes and bakeries, many bars and restaurants, Elounda also offers a wide variety of shops and holds its own weekly fresh produce market every Friday. One of the most popular attractions in Crete, the island of Spinalonga, is a scenic boat trip away, with boats leaving Elounda harbour every 30 minutes during the holiday season. The town of Agios Nikolaos is a 20-minute drive away - buses leave regularly from the village square. The Elounda ‘fun train’ takes visitors up the coast to Plaka (the village closest to Spinalonga) and then travels up into the surrounding hills for a fascinating tour of traditional Cretan villages. There are extensive walking trails all around the local area, many offering spectacular views of Spinalonga and the Bay of Mirabello. Other nearby attractions which are within an hour’s drive include two major water parks, the aquarium of Crete, and the Lasithi plateau. There are several travel agents in the village which provide reasonably-priced car, quad bike, scooter, mountain bike, boat and kayak hire as well as many tailored excursions, including scuba and snorkelling trips and all-day tours of Knossos.

During the winter months Elounda often experiences mild weather and number of restaurants and bars in the village remain open all year. The village supermarkets also operate year round.

Getting around

The villa is a short walk (9 minutes) from the main village harbour square with its many tavernas, cafes, shops and beach, with no significant gradients to negotiate (unlike many others in the area!) Cars can be parked in the village for free if required, and there is disabled parking provision very close to the major amenities. Heraklion airport is 65km (1 hour) drive on a high-quality modern road, and Heraklion itself, Crete’s largest city, is well worth a visit. Agios Nikolaos is 10km away, with regular buses from the village centre. A large number of small villages, some of which boast some superb tavernas, are all within a short driving radius of Elounda.

The price is fully inclusive of the €10 per night Greek Government tax.

- "Had a lovely stay at Villa Karfi. Location exactly as described and so easy to walk into Elounda, which we did pretty much every day. Not too steep a walk and took about 12 mins. Villa had everything needed, beautifully presented and the welcome pack was so much appreciated. Very quiet area but easy access. We have stayed in other villas in Greece before and some of the roads up to them have been much trickier to negotiate. The only mentions I would make is that it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the property is over three floors so lots of steps and probably not suitable for families either for the same reason. The gardens of the 2 villas are full of trees and plants, so the setting is really beautiful. There is some light traffic noise from the road, but the house is set back from the road, protected by trees and raised up the hillside, so the view is of the sea, and the road sounds are mostly drowned out by the sounds of cicadas! Would love to come again. " - "We stayed in Intron luxury villas in June 2023. It was the perfect relaxing break for my husband and myself along with our daughter who had just finished GCSEs. The lovely villa is in a beautiful quiet location and thoughtfully equipped, the private pool was a wonderful luxury and the sandy beach and bay was less than 5 mins walk. The local hotel also has lovely facilities available to those staying at the villas including the private beach with parasols and sunbeams that were always available. The location of the villa was perfect for site seeing and Crete has such a lot of wonderful history to offer. A car is needed as the grocery stores were a mile or so away but had everything we needed and there were plenty of restaurants within 5-10 mins drive. The local food was fabulous. We would love to return next year as a week was not enough."

Great house, great hosts, a great vacation!" - "This is a beautiful villa, in a fantastic location, up in the hills, looking down on the village below with superb wide ranging views of the sea and the hills and mountains behind There fantastic viewing and seating areas located all around the villa for everytime of day I'd refer to the pool as an infinity pool, once you're in, you look out to the sea beyond When you're sun bathing, yes it gets hot, but as you're up in the hills, you get a cooling breeze at times which is welcome There's loads of space all around, a fantastic music system, where you can hook up your music through a laptop which is provided, so you have your favourite music whilst your outside in the pool There's also UK TV, with every channel you can think of and want, table football upstairs Brilliant seating areas inside Brilliant kitchen with every gadget, untensil you'll ever need The owners are also fantastic, firstly in communication before we got there, arranging to meet us, so that we could follow them to the villa without getting lost, then they'd left us enough supplies, (milk, cereal, tea, coffee, orange juice, beers, wine, fruit) for us to not have to bother to go out shopping on the night we got there. There were enough supplied for a good day, meaning we could enjoy the pool the next day and then shop on the night. Plus the kitchen is fully stocked with herbs, spices, sugar, etc, the sort of things you need to cook, but never think of when you're out shopping (didn't need to it was there) There was also enough washing liquid, detergent, etc, to wash the clothes for an army, again something we didn't need to buy (we've stayed in lots of villas and never had this provided before) They also gave us great tips on where to shop, places to go, eat and drink Basically lovely people, who couldn't do enough for us - nothing was any trouble for them Milatos itself is a quiet village, there's a shop for basic supplies, but plenty of tavernas, for food and drink, and we found them all reasonably priced. The people running the tavernas were lovely,, talkative, again, couldn't do enough for us Then you have Malia a short drive away for supermarkets Milatos cave is worth a look for a couple of hours out All in all a brilliant holiday in a brilliant location. We would love to return No doubt I've missed off loads on this review, just take it that this place is brilliant (i like that word) and relax!!!"

- "just returned from a two week stay at the beautiful Villa Lofos. from the outset the service was beyond expectations. Nikos met us at the airport with the hire cars and we followed him to the villa. A godsend when arriving at night. Nikos also runs a very reliable taxi service. Audrey met us at the villa and nothing was too much trouble for her. The villa itself is beautiful and spacious. the outside area was particularly stunning with a fantastic pool area with bar, and a great bbq area perfect for lazy lunches. the villa is private but close to both Sisi and Milatos with plenty of tavernas to enjoy. Old town Malia is also worth a visit. A car is recommended to enjoy the surrounding area. All in all a fantastic trip and we hope to visit again"

Bedroom 2 has spectacular views of Mirabello Bay and boast a king sized bed (160x200), ample floor to ceiling wardrobe space with a very modern twist of grey shades throughout the room.

Bedroom 3 also has fabulous views of the Bay as well as the mountains and has a King sized bed (160x200) with floor to ceiling wardrobes.

Bedroom 4 is a small room and has a 110cm wide sofa bed with a memory foam topper and will comfortably sleep one adult. The room has direct access to the upper terrace through a set of French doors with shutters.

The family bathroom has a walk-in shower and a glass sink as well as mirrored wall cupboards for storage. This bathroom has stunning views of the Mirabello Bay

The ground floor has open plan living/dining room with a glass wood burning stove as well as a large ultra modern kitchen.

The kitchen is extremely spacious and is fully fitted with a Neff oven and microwave as well as a cooking island which is fitted with a Neff induction hob and extractor as well as top of the range American Fridge/Freezer, Miele Dishwasher, Bosch washing machine and Nespresso Coffee Machine .

The Dining room consists of a solid wood dining table with seating for 8 with large patio doors that allow you to enjoy the view of the Bay.

The Living room has two very large sofas (240 cm) and boast a high quality surround sound system which is linked to the 55" flatscreen TV, enabling guests to listen to music via bluetooth as well . There are large patio windows which gives unobstructed views of the Bay.

- "Fantastic villa. Easy walk to Sissi and the beach. We swam in the pool, picked our own vegetables and herbs, and collected eggs daily from the chickens. A wonderful stay for our family." - "Audrey was at the villa to meet us and friendly and very helpful - which was a great start to our holiday she even booked our transfer transport from the airport and gave us information about the villa and the local area - there is an informative folder about places to go and places to eat as well as other useful information. The villa was very clean and very comfortable - the children loved the pool and used it every day as did the adults 😎. The bathrooms both en-suite and family bathrooms were big having baths and walk-in showers. The bedrooms were very comfortable with a safe in each room. There is a bar area by the pool with an outdoor kitchen and bbq which was great and there was also a fire pit which was lovely. There was access to a vegetable garden and chickens which the children enjoyed seeing. A 10 minute walk to Sisi and slightly closer a beach/ cafe. Sisi has many bars, restaurants and gift shops as well as supermarkets ( although the best supermarket is in Malia) so transport is a plus which we had. Overall we would all revisit this villa in the future and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Audrey and her team were very helpful and professional."
