East canava can comfortably accommodate 4 guests in two vaulted bedrooms, a bathroom accessible through a corridor with antique furniture and mirror and an open plan living room with kitchen and panoramic views to the caldera.

The east canava main bedroom is carved into the rock with a comfortable queen size built-in four poster bed, secluded as a separate living area with its own indoor windows and door, in a fashion typical of traditional santorinian houses. With its inner windows open the bedroom can enjoy sea views while closing the inner windows and door creates a more romantic atmosphere.

The east canava guest bedroom has a double wrought iron bed that gives pillow view to the sea. Both rooms have access to a spacious living room with antique furnitures and a fully equipped kitchen. They share a large cave style bathroom with rainfall shower. There is a table and summer umbrella in the courtyard as well as loungers for sunbathing by the pool.

The Main canava can accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 separate bedrooms and is built between the east and west canavas.

A very spacious dining room, shed with ample natural light welcomes our guests with its large monastery style table which can comfortably sit 12 guests. The kitchen is carved in the rock and designed as a separate area with easy access to the dining hall. Two circular pits in the floor used for treading grapes during wine making have been preserved, covered with glass and are beautifully lit, adding to the special character of this place.

There are two high vaulted ceiling bedrooms in main canava, each with its own en-suite bathroom. One is especially large room carved into the volcanic rock, with a comfortable built-in queen size bed, dressing area with mirror and a large cave style bathroom with bathtub and rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has a comfortable double wrought iron bed, antique furniture, mirror and its own en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

A large Suite with high vaulted ceiling bedroom and living room is situated at the upper level.

The suite's living room enjoys uninterrupted panoramic views to the caldera, the volcano and the Aegean sea through its three large windows. It offers an open plan kitchen with double sofa-bed and connects to the main bedroom through a wooden door. Dionyssos Cave House is a recently renovated and very spacious cave house, partly carved in the volcanic rock face. It is located in Oia, on the cliff peak close to the Venetian castle, where everybody gathers to watch Oia’s famous sunset. Due to its unique location, Dionyssos Cave House offers unobstructed views of the caldera and the volcanoes and is only a 2 minutes walk away from Oia’s main street, where all the restaurants and shops are situated.

Dionyssos Cave House is a two-storey house that offers the ideal comfort and privacy to a party of up to 8 guests. The first level, which is the main part of the house, offers a spacious living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen that also features a Nespresso coffee maker. The two bedrooms are also situated on the first level. Each bedroom offers a double bed and an en suite bathroom. The one bedroom offers two built in couches as well, that can sleep two extra guests. Furthermore, the first level features a terrace with exquisite views over the caldera, which is the perfect spot for having meals while gazing at the view. The lower terrace also features a heated plunge pool, ideal for relaxing while admiring the dazzling sea views ( The plunge pool is not operational from November 1-March 31).

This bedroom is accessed only via the exterior staircase, which is quite steep, so we wouldn't recommend the specific bedroom neither for young children, nor for elderly guests.

There are public parking areas at the entrance of the village, but take into consideration that during high season parking can be challenging.

- "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Menia's cave. Harry and Elizabth were prompt in all correspondence and making sure we were well informed. Check in was smooth and the porter helped us with the luggage. We unfortunately had 4 bags so had to help with 2 of the bags which was understandable and doable (we have strapping 20-year-old boys) but something folks should be aware off if they have more luggage and may need more than one porter. The house is midway on the main Oia market stretch and probably halfway down the stairs which makes the location ideal. Very central. Lots of good restaurants close by. Sunset view just around the corner- though not from the house itself. Views from the porch of the caldera were spectacular. The house is cozy- 2 small bedrooms and a living room and kitchen. The second bedroom was too small for our two 20-year-olds so one used the bedroom and one the couch. But easily manageable. Only one bathroom (and we were aware of it) so that can be a challenge for some. Well equipped kitchen for making breakfast and tea/coffee. Elizabeth- the property manager was available on WhatApp and sent us things to do/places to visit/restaurants to try- and made bookings when we asked. Always available to help- not pushy-no commissions etc. Pure help! Parking in Oia is a bit of a challenge and we had some challenges here since we had a rental car and had to drive around a bit to find a place in some of the dusty/sandy parking lot. EXCELLENT OVERALL"

Santorini can be reached by air from Athens with two flights per day or by ferry from Piraeus with frequent departures through the year. During the summer period there are additional flights between Santorini and other islands, and charter flights from abroad. There are also nautical connections between Santorini and many other Cyclades islands, Dodecanese, Crete and Thessaloniki.
Santorini can be reached from most international airports via Athens. Athens is served by the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos and from Athens you can fly to Santorini airport (Thira). Travel to Santorini by boat from the Port of Piraeus:
For those participants having extra time, there is a regular ferry boat service to Santorini from Piraeus offering a relaxing, pleasant journey. The cost is reasonable and takes an average of eight to nine hours. In addition there is also the solution of the speedy boats, which make this journey in five hours. Advanced reservations are not usually required on the ferry boats. For exact times, call Piraeus port authorities at: + 30 210 422 6000.

Santorini Transportation:
There are 2 ways to move around Santorini, if you do not have a car or a scooter: the public bus and the taxi. There are connections for every village and on summer time there is a bus every 30 minutes, with the last one at midnight. On winter, the bus runs every 1 hour and the last one is around 9 pm. The central us station is in Fira next to the taxi station. Also keep in mind that the public transportation buses are green. Any other color you will see they are tourist buses. The buses here do not have automatic machines, so you have to have money with you to pay the collector. Maximum cost per ride is 2 euro per person, depending where you are going.
The taxis are available on winter, but extremely hard to find on summer therefore we strongly recommend booking your transportation before you arrive. If you want to try your luck you can try book a taxi, if you go to the central square of Fira.

The one thing that wasn’t obvious from the pictures and description is the layout. It worked really well for us. We used both spaces and we could shut the door between the lower level and main level to give the loft occupants privacy. We appreciated being able to order breakfast, lunch, and dinner to our place when we didn’t feel like going out. All the food was delicious. Although we did go the mini markets, it was helpful to be able to order some groceries to be delivered. This place made our trip to Santorini more memorable and we would definitely recommend it looking for a beautiful place to stay."

- "Everything about this place is amazing! This villa is in a resort; so food, drinks, massages, tours - everything can be delivered/ arranged. It was even nicer than the pictures. We had our own plunge pool and hot tub, along with access to two other community pools. It’s in walking distance to a super market, souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and the blue dome church. The walk is intense (up a steep 10min pedestrian walk way); so get a car if you have mobility issues. The resort coordinated a rental for us to be picked up and dropped off at the resort. We also had private transfers arranged. Around 5pm, you see crowds of people walking to stake out a spot to see the sunset nearby, while you have a front row seat at this resort with no crowds. The location is perfect. The staff here was amazing, especially Christopher! Wish we had more days in Santorini!!"

- "Everything about this property was spectacular. The views were amazing, the location was perfect, and the host was extremely helpful. The location couldn't have been better - a very easy walk into Oia, but just slightly removed from the noise and crowds of the center of town, and with spectacular Caldera views. There's a small but well stocked market just steps away that is open late, and many great shops and restaurants within an easy walk. The only thing I would say is that it is not suitable for those with mobility issues as there's lots of stairs to get to it (but this will be true of pretty much any property in Oia). We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and sitting on the terrace enjoying the views. The air conditioning units and being built into the hillside kept the unit itself nice and cool and comfortable, despite very hot weather. Last, but certainly not least - the hospitality of the hosting team (especially Armando) was spectacular. The fridge was extremely well stocked with food and beverages, and they were constantly on call to help with every need, including making hard-to-get reservations for us at local restaurants, recommending sights to see, and even hand carrying our luggage in and out on arrival and departure. When we arrived back late one night to find the power out, Armando even showed up on short notice at 11pm to fix it. I know the cost of this unit is expensive (it was definitely a splurge for us) but it worth every penny!"

Lydia's House, is an amazing villa of 93 m2, located among the last row of houses on the cliffs of Oia, offering a breathtaking view over the Aegean sea, the Caldera and the other cliff-edge villages either from the small causy front yard or from the private terrace above.
It used to be an old bioclimatic cave-house which Emmanouil Vasilakis, architect and owner, renovated in 2010, using high quality materials combined with the traditional methods of Santorini’s technicians. The outcome is obviously a dream house, completely adapted to the unique scenery of Santorini island, with excellent minimal aesthetic and fully functional interior spaces.

The house is designed as an open space (with open bedrooms) so that you can enjoy the astonishing view almost from every corner but also to create a visual contact between the two main areas of the interior. The lights placed on the white and colored dome shaped walls as well as the lights in the pool and the floor cavities, create a unique atmosphere.
The living room with the built sitting area, that can also be used as a bed, and a wooden monasterial dining table, is a comfortable and sunny space with an amazing view. A cavity shaped in the colored wall accommodates the television set. The white wooden ceiling is actually a cozy loft bedroom shaped in the dome (with a Japanese futon bed and a beautiful view to the sea), reached through a wooden stair next to the built sitting area.
An arched doorway, that divides the living room from the rest of the house, leads you to a small, heated, shallow pool with a built sofa bed, which is one of the most relaxing spots of Lydia's house. Next to the heated splash pool, simplicity and extreme elegance characterize the elevated open space master bedroom. A cavity in the wall, on one side of the built bed, is used as a walking closet and on the other side, a big cave with three cavities, form a luxurious bathroom consisted of a walk-in rain shower with white pebles on the floor, a separated toilette and a marble basin, taken from an old Turkish Hamam. Finally, considering the issue of privacy, a portable folding screen can be used to block the visual contact with the rest of the house, when needed.
Between the living room and the master bedroom, on the right side, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, a secondary bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, a dressing room and an engine room for the pool. On the left side, a cavity leads you to a stairway, descending to the old systern at a lower level, which is now used as a bedroom with two single beds.
The main pedestrian street (with all the shops, restaurants & galleries) is on the back side of Lydia's House, so you can enjoy the privacy you need but also have the easy accessibility to the central square (3 min walk) where you can find bus and taxi terminal. You can also take a walk at the “Goulas” area (1 min walk), which is famous for Oia’s sunset view.

An old Winery renovated and transformed into a very stylish villa with amazing oriental garden and a tiny swimming pool Situated in the peaceful and traditional village of "Finikia" in Oia The Winery House (main domain), part of the "Winery Villa" complex, was the last winery which operated in Fiinikia until the 70's. This impressive construction was built by Santorinian craftsmen using local materials like Aspa (volcanic ash), Poria (red volcanic stones) chipped around the doors and windows, gray and red volcanic stone stairs, traditional doors and traditional concrete floors. Iron railings in all windows were used as protection from the pirates. The building is composed by two interconnected large cave rooms (canavas) of a total 140 sq.m. surface. There was the winery production and the barrels. Both enter from the courtyard where the main entrance to the house is. These canavas with impressive proportions and domed roof, half caved and half external, follow the typology of a large church due to constructional and operational reasons. Build benches along the stone walls used to support the wine barrels. A crypt in the wall that separates the canavas is the "ratsidio" where took place the distillation of raki, is now used as a guard robe. The big open space (of over 80 sq. m.) of the eastern canava includes, the living room with build benches, the dining room, the kitchen and an (open) cave bedroom with a double bed. - "This villa was perfection for our family vacation on Santorini! A sanctuary away from the chaos with space to spread out, but still close enough to easily access Finikia and Oia. The staff at the house was incredible and took care of us like family. It was perfect for our 3 generations and Markos was extremely helpful in helping us to arrange our activities, rides and meals! First, the owner, Markos, was so accommodating and available even before we traveled to Santorini that when I met him I felt like I knew him already and we were old friends. His villas were immaculate. His father laid the red stone surrounding the property. And the whole family runs it together with pride. We were greeted by family and the beautiful sunset before they transported us to downtown Oia for dinner. We really didn’t need transport we quickly found out but requested it because we are an extended family of 12 of us including my 81 year old dad and didn’t know what to expect. As it turned out, even Dad took the 15 minute walk to town daily with no problem! Oia and surrounding areas were SPECTACULAR, but coming home to the privacy and solitude of the villas overlooking the vineyards and water was always a pleasure. There was nothing we could’ve requested that wasn’t received with a gracious smile. Food and drink was even delivered at all hours of the morning until night. Laundry done whenever we needed it. By the end of our time we all felt like family. The accommodations were spectacular with 5 huge villas with private baths in cave style and sitting areas and kitchenettes. Two of them had two sleeping areas while the other three had one queen bed in each, so 7 large beds in all. All had outdoor space of their own, including one with gorgeous rooftop access! We mostly gathered all together outside where there was plenty of room, large tables and glorious views. Of course we enjoyed the pool and sun lounges, too. I can’t express any more how staying at the Red Stone Villas enhanced our trip to Santorini 10 fold. I don’t think we could’ve had a better experience if we tried.
