The hosts were very responsive and checked a few times by text to make sure we had all we needed. The garden and gounds around the villa are also immaculate. The village of koutouloufari and neighbouring villages provided lots of dining choices within easy walking distance and were charming. The villa had all the utensils and dishes needed to make meals. The locationwas great not being too far from heraklion airport and was a good launching ground to explore the area. The villa is beautiful, spotless and very comfortable. The kitchen is available for any meals you choose to prepare yourself and does have a dishwasher. Our host (Anastasia's Father) gave us recommendations to restaurants and drove my husband around the area upon our arrival to show us where to go. We especially enjoyed the bakery he showed us and there was a very cute restaurant with amazing Christmas decorations with delicious food that we really liked. - "1st of all i would like to say that the owners Antonis and Anastasia were brilliant, nothing to small or too big if we had an issue or needed advise on where to eat, go etc. The welcome package from the owners is brilliant to, so you have the basics straight away and dont have to stress for milk, bread beer etc straight away. Also not forgetting Manos, who we liaised with prior to arriving, he couldn't do enough too and put us in touch with voyager car renatls who were brilliant. The villas is beautiful and the views are spectacular. The only down side, and let me stress this is only because Dad isn't the best with his knees as hes 73, it is very hilly and the drive way is very very steep. From my point of view, you definitely need a car as the beech as the crow flys is probably 1km, but if you had to walk, we are talking half an hour roughly and 7/8 minutes in a car. The villa has a great BBQ and pizza oven and the facilities are very good, the only advise i could give is bigger cups for tea and coffee. The pool is very cold, so if you like to chill in it alot, l would definitely advise to get it heated! This also is my opinion now, the pool should be heated or at least given the option, as you are paying premium for this villa and you should not be charged extra. Would have been a 10 but for the few small niggles we have given a 9. Highly recommended. All the best for the future Antonis/Anastasia, great hosts."

- "Very nice villa located high in the hills with great views of the town and sea. The villa is well kept and has something for everyone. The inside Great family space as well as the ability to have some personal space as well. The pool, bbq, wood oven and outside dining areas were a favourite. The villa has WiFi which covered the space well. In addition to a variety of fresh Rosemary, pomegranate, lemon, fig plants and trees on the grounds. Location wise it was great for us no more than 20 mins away from Heraklion Airport. Supermarkets also close by and town center, restaurants etc again no more than 20 mins away. Gournes beach was a favourite of ours as it was close by (by car). The Waterpark is a 5-6mins walk away which is a pleasant day out. The property owners were great anytime we needed anything they'd help and assist any way they could. Despite contracting covid they still ensured (via messages) our questions were answered. The villa is clean, plenty of utensils in the kitchen, bedding and towels provided with shower gel and shampoo. The gym, basketball and Cycles are are nice touch the equipment is basic but use able. For cycle enthusiasts you'll enjoy riding the steep hills and for those who aren't even the ride and breeze going down! We enjoyed our stay and liked to thank Stelios and his family for their great hospitality and would certainly like to return in the future!"

- "Wow! The Old Olive Mill is a gorgeous restoration, with a sun-trap courtyard for dining/reading/lounging and amazing views from the two balconies of the monastery across the valley. The village is tucked away, very quiet, with a little cafe and a great restaurant. Yet all this is only a twenty-thirty minute drive from Heraklion and Knossos. Impecably cleaned, very well equipped (incredibly well equipped kitchen!!!), a regularly cleaned swimmingpool, more than anough place for all of us to have our own privacy inside as well as outside, a very nicely built outside eating arrangement. Aristide and Birgit and theur daughter Chrissie were the best hosts ever, providing us with all the information and tips we needed, always prepared to help us. We were invited to help Ari with the grapes picking (he makes a very nice raki...)with all the other tenants of his other houses and share a big dinner at his house. Great experience! We loved Matala and it's atmosphere, the beach at Agi Galini, Delfinos restaurant at Kalimakis Beach, touring on the motor bike via the coastal road to Lendas, trips to heraklion and Rethminon. The girls (at 16) were perhaps a bit disappointed at the possibilities to go out to clubs and bars, but we happiky drove them to Chersonissos a few times (and they took the bus themselves from Pitsidia), so that was solved. We would recommend villa Thalassa to everyone! (no very little children tough, because of the swimming pool)"

- "Open Sky Villa is an absolutely outstanding property in a fantastic location. The property itself is a very modern contemporary design and is located a few minutes walk from the centre of Kamilari with all the wonderful Tavernas and restaurants. Kamilari is about 1 hour from Heraklion and a few minutes more to Water City water park. The beaches of Southern Crete are less busy and the whole area (in my opinion) is nicer than the north. But northern Crete is easily accessible with a car and we headed up that way a few times during our stay. We were there for 10 days during the heatwave of July 23 and despite the heat (>40C) we were very comfortable thanks to the modern and efficient AC and the amazing infinity pool. The pool is a salt water pool and the cleanest and nicest pool I've ever seen at a rental property. We spent hours relaxing in the pool and gazing out at the amazing views. Being salt water there are no chemicals or odour which was very refreshing. We were very well looked after with some great greek goodies on our arrival. We had fresh water melon and some traditional greek cakes delivered during our stay and the cleaner came in during our stay which was a pleasant surprise. They were fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. So thank you for the amazing memories of Crete and we will definitely stay again if you will have us!"
