- "What a great family resort. It’s a very large resort that did not feel over crowded. Lots of options for the family. The resort is really large, featuring several pools, a beach, a water park, and multiple activities throughout the day. The resort is spacious enough that it never felt crowded, and we easily found sun beds anywhere in the hotel. We mostly spent our time at the water park, which includes nine slides for grown-ups, a lazy river, and multiple slides for kids. We also enjoyed the playground with mini golf, which stays open until late at night. The food was very good, made with high-quality ingredients, and there were several restaurants to choose from. We especially liked the Asian buffet and the BBQ restaurant, which were smaller than the main dining hall. There was even a barista serving quality coffee, though the cocktails were a bit dull and weak. The employees were kind and helpful, and the premises were kept clean and tidy at all times. Additionally, this is a good base for short excursions, such as visiting the dinosaur park or the aquarium, which are just a 10-minute drive away. The owner, Koula, showed us to our room and around the complex, gave us complimentary drinks while our room was prepared, we were 3 hours early, and we played mini golf before heading to our room less than 20 minutes later. The food at the apartments was delicious all home grown and made, couldn't get enough of the olives, feta cheese and the tomatoes, ok the greek salads the made fresh were the best we had ever had! All the staff at the apartments were wonderful, we were made to feel like family from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, with the staff coming out to say good bye. Our apartment was clean and had everything we needed, the views from our patio were amazing too. The pool area was welcoming and there was more than ample space to relax on a sun lounger and to play in the pool. My family and I are looking forward to visiting again and we strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation."

- "Such a joyful place. In the middle of nowhere appears this beautiful house surrounded by a huge garden with green grass, olive trees, many flowers and a big swimming pool. It is excellent and lovingly furnished and well maintained. Everything is perfect equipped! Kostas is a great host - left food for half the week including a bottle of wine and raki! All our questions were answered at once. I highly recommend him! With our rented car we got to all the lovely places which Kostas suggested. A car is a must have! If you are looking for peace and quiet and not touristy areas go to Kostas house!"

The garden surrounding the rooms was one of our favorite parts - the plants and lemon trees were beautifully curated and cared for. We felt the listing accurately depicts the rooms, but we wanted to share more photos of the garden because it was too beautiful not to! It was conveniently located - a mere 5 minute walk to desirable attractions, shopping, and restaurants, but the hotel itself was located on a quiet street - it felt like the best of both worlds. • We arrived rather late our first night, but Manos was still happy to meet us, show us our room and the grounds. He recommended a small, local restaurant that was right up the street (turn left when you exit the gate, and it was a favorite. "

The Stone "House Potami" is over 100 years old traditional Cretan house, that was completely restored in 2008 and adjusted to serve as a holiday home. The sensitive restoration kept the original authentic spirit of this beautiful stone house.
During the winter of 2017 it undergone an extensive renovation and was upgraded to a "Boutique" level and style accommodation.
On the ground floor there is a cozy patio, that leads to a spacious living room with attached kitchen and bathroom. On the first floor is a fully equipped bedroom, attached to a large sunny veranda with great views of the village and the impressive Psiloritis mountains.
There are an outside steps and a door, that leads directly into the upper level and could serve as an alternative exit/entrance, if needed.
In addition to the normal equipment, there are a washing machine, dish washer, large fridge-freezer, free WiFi, smart TV with multi channel satellite and Netflix connections and also a Bluetooth audio device.

The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood, just a minute walk from the charismatic main square of the village with cafes and shops.
Vori is a lively and authentic Cretan village, situated in the Messara Valley. It has several traditional cafes (Kafeneio), an excellent taverna, bakery, pharmacy, mini market and some other shops.
It also houses a very good and quite famous Ethnographic Museum.
From Vori one can easily reach the beautiful sandy beaches of Kalamaki, Kommos, Agio Farago and the famous beach villages of Matala, Agia Galini, Lendas and Kokkinos Pyrgos.
The important archaeological sites of Phaistos, Agia Triada and Gortyn are just nearby.
As the village is located at the foot of the Psiloritis range, it is a good starting point for hiking, trekking, biking and mountaineering.

There is a huge balcony where you can sit and watch and listen to the waves. Renata has been the perfect host. She was very understanding and flexible during our covid challenges over the last two years, changing dates, duration, arrival time no problem at all. Renata stayed up very late to welcome us, and her communication throughout our stay has been great. The village is lovely if you are looking for a quiet beach holiday with great food options. If you are looking to explore the wider area (and it’s definitely worth getting up into the mountains) then a hire car is a must. I’m sure we will be back."

Exactly behind the bus station at Vintzezos Kornaros square there is a road between a bank and a kiosk.This is Viannou street. Then you will walk two minutes to find number 27.
lt is only two minutes on foot to the Grave Monument of the famous, worldwide known author Nikos Kazanzakis. Kazantzakis is the author of the famous “Zorba the Greek’ book.
j) It is only five minutes by foot to the city’s great “Oasis” park.
k) It is only two minutes by foot to the city walls (the longest defensive walls in all the Mediterranean area) for panoramic view of all the city of Heraklion.

From Vintzezos Kornaros Square you can take the bus for Knossos palace.The distance is about 6 kilometers.
If you go from the apartment to Vintzezos Kornaros square and turn left the main road you will see the church of Sant Minas on the right side of the road. Try to find behind the church the small pedestrian roads. There you will see ouzeri and taverns where you can taste Greek plates with good prices.
