The resort is spacious enough that it never felt crowded, and we easily found sun beds anywhere in the hotel. We mostly spent our time at the water park, which includes nine slides for grown-ups, a lazy river, and multiple slides for kids. We also enjoyed the playground with mini golf, which stays open until late at night. The food was very good, made with high-quality ingredients, and there were several restaurants to choose from. We especially liked the Asian buffet and the BBQ restaurant, which were smaller than the main dining hall. There was even a barista serving quality coffee, though the cocktails were a bit dull and weak. The employees were kind and helpful, and the premises were kept clean and tidy at all times. Additionally, this is a good base for short excursions, such as visiting the dinosaur park or the aquarium, which are just a 10-minute drive away. The food at the apartments was delicious all home grown and made, couldn't get enough of the olives, feta cheese and the tomatoes, ok the greek salads the made fresh were the best we had ever had! All the staff at the apartments were wonderful, we were made to feel like family from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, with the staff coming out to say good bye. Our apartment was clean and had everything we needed, the views from our patio were amazing too. The pool area was welcoming and there was more than ample space to relax on a sun lounger and to play in the pool. My family and I are looking forward to visiting again and we strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation."

Villa Marcyr, a small paradise situated in the beautiful village of Kamilari. Well located; because there are many beaches close ... Komos and Matala 3 km to 6 km. Matala, friendly village, frequented at the time by hippies and we always feel this "flower power" influence. Nearby, there are archaeological cites of Phaistos and many others. The olive tree of over 2000 years is 10 minutes walk from the villa. Minouines of graves to visit any meadows. And all those beauties are surrounded by beautiful oliverais!There are plenty of excursions to do if you want a little further; for example, the San maria Gorges, the great plain of Lasithi with its windmills ... all to find in the guidebooks. The villa is a separate house with private pool. Perfect to accommodate 4 people.

>Upper veranda above the indoor space taking up all of its footprint. Accessible from the main veranda through staircase. Also covered the same way as the main ground floor veranda but the sea view from there is absolutely breathtaking. The best place to enjoy morning coffee, swing on the hammock swing, drink afternoon aperitifs or listen to the sound of the sea amidst the quiet night.

GETTING AROUND
Our village is 60 km away from Heraklion airport & it is not accessible with public transportation.
Local bus stops in a previous village (Pyrgos) 16 km away, so a car is necessary.
The route from Heraklion passes through three villages of Heraklion prefecture: Archanes-Charakas-Paranimfoi and ends to Treis Ekklisies village. The last 4 km to the village is dirt road but it's flat and in a very good condition, suitable to be driven comfortably by a small conventional passenger car.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
-There is no cleaning service in between your stay. The house will be in perfect condition cleaningwise upon your arrival. There will also be available the house's full set of cleaning equipment (brooms, mops, detergents) so you can suit yourselves the same way you do in your own home.
-There will be 1 extra set of linen (sheets, towels etc) for every 2-3 days of stay.
-Village's grocery store is open from start of June till start of September. Outside this season groceries can be done on your way to Treis Ekklisies in the village of Harakas or Pyrgos where relatively large super markets are. The house is usually stocked with dry food, homegrown vegetables & fruit enough for 2-3 full days
-At least one beach tavern is open non stop from start of April till end of October. The other two open from start of May till end of September
-Due to the rugged landscape only one of the three cellphone signal providers in Greece (company name: COSMOTE) offers signal for cellphones. If (when you're in roaming mode) your national provider doesn't cooperate with COSMOTE, then your cellphone will be inactive. However communications can be made through the high speed internet available at the house. You can make phone calls via all internet VoIP services
-For hygienic reasons, there are no waste bins inside the village. There are two large containers at the village entrance. So put as many of your garbage as you can in the large garbage bags provided and when filled take a short 1 minute drive till the disposal containers.
-During August, there might be short temporary interruptions in water supply (2 or 3 total, non-consecutive days, one day at a time). The house is equipped with water reservoir capable to fill all water needs for 2 consecutive days. Dishes, toilet flushing, showers can be done as usual, only the water flow will have less preassure than normal

You will need a car if you want to do some exploring and there are several places of interest that are in reasonable driving distance such as Knossos and Matala. - "We were a family group of 5 adults all over the age of 50 and stayed a week in early May. This villa provided lots of space and all the amenities we could ever desire. The hosts were very responsive and checked a few times by text to make sure we had all we needed. The garden and gounds around the villa are also immaculate. The village of koutouloufari and neighbouring villages provided lots of dining choices within easy walking distance and were charming. The villa had all the utensils and dishes needed to make meals. The locationwas great not being too far from heraklion airport and was a good launching ground to explore the area. The villa is beautiful, spotless and very comfortable. The view is breathtaking and i would gladly have stayed put at the villa all week. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay here."

- "Our visit to Crete was over the Christmas holidays and we were warmly greeted by our host who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay on Crete. The home is in the same building as the owners which was nice if we had questions. It is very stylish and has beautiful décor and had lovely Christmas decorations, the beds were very comfortable, the area is quiet and within walking distance to the beach. The kitchen is available for any meals you choose to prepare yourself and does have a dishwasher. Our host (Anastasia's Father) gave us recommendations to restaurants and drove my husband around the area upon our arrival to show us where to go. We especially enjoyed the bakery he showed us and there was a very cute restaurant with amazing Christmas decorations with delicious food that we really liked. Our host family had special treats they made for us and other items we enjoyed throughout our stay. We appreciated their friendliness and generous, kind attitude throughout our stay. - " • The Lemon Garden Residence was a lovely place to land when arriving to Heraklion for the first time. Manos, the owner, went above and beyond and showed the most welcoming hospitality. We were able to text him throughout the duration of our stay, for recommendations, help, etc. (He was kind enough to print our tickets for our bus to Chania - just an example of how hospitable he was!) The hotel itself was lovely. We had a beautiful room. The mini fridge came stocked with cold water and fresh fruit Manos had grown on his Organic farm. The AC worked well, the shower was stocked with Korres products, and it felt plenty spacious for two people. Manos provided a map of the local area, with landmark sights and attractions, and gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities. The garden surrounding the rooms was one of our favorite parts - the plants and lemon trees were beautifully curated and cared for. We felt the listing accurately depicts the rooms, but we wanted to share more photos of the garden because it was too beautiful not to! It was conveniently located - a mere 5 minute walk to desirable attractions, shopping, and restaurants, but the hotel itself was located on a quiet street - it felt like the best of both worlds. • We arrived rather late our first night, but Manos was still happy to meet us, show us our room and the grounds. He recommended a small, local restaurant that was right up the street (turn left when you exit the gate, and it was a favorite. "

There is a parking garage that is at most a 5 min walk and is next to a grocery store. I arrived earlier than planned and was able to get a room even though checkin was at 15. Only minor downside was the number of light switches - I think there were about 10 or 12 light switches for a relatively small space! Secondly the emergency exit light was really bright - bright blue and green. There is no way to ignore it when you are in bed, other than facing the other side. Very well located - it was quiet in the evenings, even though it is mere steps away from several very busy squares with bars and eateries. Minor construction noise starting in the morning.
