- "This is a great place to stay and will now be our only place to stay in Estes! We loved it. We stay in Estes a few nights a year to hike RMNP, but this place has been the best for location, access to the park, amenities, space, and cost. They have free popcorn till 9pm in the lobby, an average but free continental breakfast with some good grab and go items for a hike (bananas, donuts, bagels, nature valley bars) and coffee and oatmeal. The amenities make this place though. A seasonal pool, a gorgeous and large hot tub, grilles and firestarter kits and smores kits (for a charge), vending machines and even some pizza can be ordered there, a wall of DVDs (all rooms have players) that are actually good and a wide variety, games from board/tabletops like Clue to outdoor yard games like cornhole, tetherball, bocce, giant jenga, etc. The layout is nice so no matter where you stay the fun amenities are in the center of the property, easy walking distance. Finally, of course, the rooms are great! We got a 2 bedroom jacuzzi tub suite and loved it. It was perfect for four people, and could even sleep six (it had a sofa bed, too, in the main room). Good price, clean, nice new beds (all updated apparently, great!), big windows, mini fridge and microwave, sizable bathrooms... very good for a couple nights. And it's walking distance from a good pizza place, a liquor store, and some other shops and such; or a short 4 minute drive to downtown; and 5ish minutes from RMNP. Super happy!"

Suite had a separate tv room sitting area and had two seperate chairs, now if that area had a more comfortable pair of chairs or recliners it would be perfect, it was hard to get comfortable on them when trying to watch a movie or show wile the kids had their cartoons on the main room. - "Stuff is very nice, room is very clean." - "First off, for the price, you cannot beat this very nice motel. The beds were comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, the refrigerator was cold and the TV had plenty of channels. The bars of soap were big and nice. I thought the simple breakfast was perfect, and the two guys we met at the front desk were professional and committed to our happiness. Beat that! There were a few things though that I'll point out here. The "dog building" had some big, noisy dogs that scared our dog. Getting to the dog building meant navigating an ice flow. The dog walk area had wood chips that got tracked to the astro turf outside the room, so that was a mess. But I'm nit-picking. It was a very comfortable place and I appreciated it's availability on our short notice trip."

Air conditioning keeps things cool on hot summer days (rare in Estes).

Located on the eastern edge of the Estes Valley, the space is positioned perfectly. It's away from the crowds in downtown, but still just minutes from Lily Lake, US Forest Service land on US119, Gem Lake Trailhead, and the rest of Rocky Mountain National Park.

The room provides everything needed for a restorative solo stay: a king bed with quality linens, a kitchenette with mini fridge and coffee maker for mindful morning rituals, and an electric fireplace. The bathroom has a rain shower and heated drying rack.

A small shared workspace offers a quiet spot to read or journal, and a shared hot tub (10 AM-9 PM) under starlit skies offers therapeutic relaxation. The Lodge also offers a small outdoor dining area with views of the Estes Valley and the Continental Divide.

NO SMOKING, NO FIRES

This building was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits. Charcoal BBQs are banned.

ROAD CONDITIONS

Estes has a great plow team and our parking area will also be plowed during storms, but if there's a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
