We felt very secluded/private with no one around us except for the animals. Beds were very comfortable and the front porch is very big. Cons: We came in late at night and had trouble finding the place in the dark because the GPS for the address did not work right. The after hours call service did not answer but we eventually found the place using the directions link on the email. No dishwasher. In 3 nights, there were 3 mice caught in traps. I couldn't sleep one night because the mouse did not die and kept clanging the trap against the walls. One of the bathrooms has a tub with a shower head that you hold with your hand so all 4 of us used one shower stall for convenience."

Rocky Mountain NP, Wildlife, and Dutch hospitality

Our modern cabin is located 1/2 mile from the Rocky Mountain NP. Stunning views of Longs Peak, and lots of wildlife. We have Elk and Deer right in our yard.
We also have snowshoes for rent. If there is enough snow in the Winter you can snowshoe from your room right into the National Park. Or you can bike to town ( 1 1/2 miles) year round. There are lots of hiking trails within very short distance from our house.

The space
You are renting a guestroom and bathroom. You are not renting the whole house. The guestroom has a private entry, with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and a bath tub. It also has a build-in Bluetooth speaker fan.
There are 2 USB outlets next to both sides of the queen bed.
Bedroom has a ceiling fan.
Both the bathroom and bedroom have radiant floor heating for your comfort. Control is on the wall. The bedroom also has a 3 speed ceiling fan.

Both Bedroom and Bathroom doors can lock for privacy.

This cabin comfortably sleeps two people, featuring pine paneling that provides a retreat in the stunning views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Relax in the Queen-sized bed or the comfortable couch in the living room as you enjoy a fire in the built-in, stone, wood burning fireplace or sit on the outside patio, grill dinner and take in the beautiful scenery. Make home-cooked meals in your fully stocked kitchen; just bring your own food, coffee, and condiments/spices.

The space
Welcome to Valhalla Resort! We’re nestled along Eagle Cliff Road bordering RMNP. You can hike directly into the park from your cabin. We have several hikes that take you through some beautiful scenery with abundant wildlife and views. There is plenty of space to spread out and relax on our forested, ten-acre grounds with a pool (summer season only), public hot tub for cabins that don’t have their own and a playground, clubhouse, volleyball and basketball. The vibe here is cozy, laid-back, and old-school, with a mix of historic rental quarters and newer, more modern dwellings to choose from. We’re five minutes from downtown Estes Park and just a few minutes from the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Necessities: Our cabins come equipped with all bedding, linens, towels, soap, paper products, pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, coffee pot, tea kettle, serving dishes and utensils you will need during your stay. We also provide salt and pepper; however, we do not provide any other spices, cooking oil, food items, coffee (we do provide coffee filters), shampoo/conditioner, or cleaning products including laundry detergent so please make sure to plan accordingly.

Before you book, read on to ensure our quirky property is the right fit for your getaway:

WiFi & Cell: Each cabin has its own designated WiFi router and we have a property wide Guest WiFi and separate WiFi in our clubhouse and at the pool (seasonal). Each cabin is also equipped with TDS Cable service. Cell service is typically very good at the property for both T-Mobile and Verizon, T-Mobile can be a little sketchy however in downtown Estes Park.
Parking: Our cabins have limited parking this cabin can accommodate up to 2 cars. We have overflow parking to accommodate additional vehicles. We do not allow trailers, motorhomes, oversized vehicles or OHV on the property.

All guests are required to present a valid ID and credit card at check in. We do not allow 3rd party bookings, the guest on the reservation must be present at check in.

The Town of Estes Park provides a seasonal shuttle from July to September that runs daily and picks up at the corner of Hwy 66 and Eagle Cliff Road with stops throughout downtown.

Safety: Please note our property is wild and rugged, with cliff features, boulders, slopes, uneven surfaces, and regular wildlife visits (bear, elk, wild cats, and more). Use caution around any natural terrain, understand and follow wildlife safety practices, and abide by our pet, fire, hot tub (if your unit includes one), and on-site rules as posted in your cabin guide. Hot tubs [if applicable] are for use at your own risk and not protected by a gate; the hosts are not responsible for injuries resulting from the use of the hot tub, pool or any of our other amenities. Guests shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner against any and all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from the use of the property, inclusive of but not limited to the house, hot tub, pool, clubhouse, fireplaces, etc., regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss.

Seasonal Information:

Summer/Early Fall: This is the high season! Note that certain cabins and condos can get toasty during the daytime, but at night typically cool off significantly. Fire season typically falls between summer and early fall in the area, so air quality may be unhealthy during this time, particularly among sensitive groups. Please check the local news for any active fires if you have anyone in your party with sensitivities.

Winters & Shoulder Season: Winter in Estes is magical, and we’re happy to make recommendations on activities! While US-34 east of the Park remains open and plowed, if you’re planning to visit during the winter/shoulder season, consider snow tires and any other supplies you may want for winter conditions. Trail Ridge Rd and other routes over the continental divide close seasonally every year, so access to Grand Lake and the western part of RMNP requires rerouting through I-70 to the south (which adds about 3-4 hours to the trip). During winter, watch out for snow shedding from roofs and icy/snowy walkways along our rugged grounds. We’ll send more winter info about a month before arrival.

This cute cabin is located right at the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park- hike right up into the park if you want! With a Double bed in each room and a bathroom with a shower/tub combo, offering a cozy retreat for up to four guests. The knotty pine interior adds rustic charm.
