The only thing we flagged was that the master bedroom doesnt have a private door from the room with twin beds, so if a person in the twin bed room goes to the bathroom or gets up, they have to pass through another persons room. Stunning, newly remodeled cabin nestled in a ponderosa pine forest minutes from Pinewood Reservoir & Ramsay Shockey Open Space, and a short drive to Carter Lake. Exclusively available only 100 nights a year! (Unless renting for at least a month) Walk or bike to the lake and trailhead straight from the cabin. Pinewood Reservoir is an amazing hidden gem of a destination not far from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park as the crow flies. At an elevation of 6580 ft, this is a must see local crown jewel of northern Colorado for hiking, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, mountain biking, and more with quick 20 minute access to town for restaurants, groceries, family fun, many breweries, nightlife, museum, galleries, etc. Carter Lake restaurant, general store and marina is only a 10 minute drive. At the end of a dead end road, Pinewood res is an amazingly peaceful and quiet mountain destination. Enjoy solitude and views of Blue Mountain from the deck and take in the scenery which regularly includes deer, elk, wild turkeys, and countless types of birds including humming birds in the summer.

Upon entry you will notice that the cabin is very close to the lake itself, however is also somewhat private. A large and open floor plan perfectly suits enjoying time with your family or friends. Enjoy relaxing on the leather furniture, or sipping complimentary coffee and tea by the fireplace. A large kitchen bar with swivel stools is central and can host games and even dinner for your whole group. The large dining room table can allow for a puzzle, board games and family meals. The cabin has all brand new kitchen appliances including washer and dryer. The primary bedroom has a very comfy memory foam mattress and is spacious with a dedicated workspace and computer monitor. There are 2 closets and an en suite bathroom that has a large soaking tub and basic amenities with direct access to the laundry and kitchen. Second bedroom has a beautiful locally made pine furniture bed set and nice view, with a closet. Second bathroom has the cabins only shower, however is spacious for a cabin and is accommodating for 4 guests. The gas fireplace is a warm and cozy place for the whole group to enjoy time together, playing the house acoustic guitar, board games, reading nature books, and planning the next days adventures.

Other things to note
In the snowier months all wheel drive, decent tires and higher ground clearance IS REQUIRED to access the cabin if snowy. The cabin is a short ways in on a dirt road. Parking is strictly prohibited off site and no refund will be given if you cannot reach the cabin due to an improper vehicle. Walking in is not allowed as there is no legal place to park overnight nearby. Please plan accordingly.

There are bears in the area! Vehicles must remained locked as some bears can open doors and rummage around in your vehicle. Garbage must remain inside and stored in the trash can. For excess garbage from longer stays, there is a bear box outside.

A straightforward and common sense liability waiver/rental agreement is required to be signed within 72 hours of booking.
