A well-equipped kitchen will make meal preparations convenient and you can also grill on the infrared BBQ. In the morning, enjoy using a traditional tea pot for brewing tea or, if you prefer, a fantastic cup of coffee with the fresh coffee beans we provide. Enjoy your meal or your morning coffee on the secluded deck to the sound and sights of hummingbirds, woodpeckers and songbirds, or you might appreciate exploring the short trail through the Aspens that winds up the hill behind the cabin. It will lead you to a bench and more mountain views for quiet contemplation.

- "Great mountain hide-away. The Aspen Valley Hideaway is just as advertised. It is the best stocked cabin we have stayed at in over the last 12 years! The cabin is fairly secluded, yet not hard to find or get to. Located less than 10 miles from both Divide and Cripple Creek and within a couple of miles of Mueller State Park. Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, and Old Colorado Springs are all an easy drive. We very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tub or out on the deck just enjoying the wonderful Colorado outdoors. We BBQ on the grill, enjoyed the star filled nights, and used the gas "wood stove" to knock the chill out of the early mornings (lower 40s in July). Cindy & Tim were quick to answer a text, but were in no way intrusive (we never saw them). While we were told cell service could be sketchy, we had very little trouble staying connected. As for TV, just sign into your home streaming service and you are good to go -just don't get sucked into any streaming holes, get outside and enjoy all Colorado has to offer! :) I would recommend the Aspen Valley Hideaway to anyone looking for a quiet get-away, or for anyone looking for a place that is close enough to all the "tourist" activities, but wanting a quiet place to debrief and unwind at the end of the day. The cabin comfortably sleeps, 4 people. The bedroom has a queen-size bed. There is a leather queen size sofa bed in the living room. There is also enough room in the bedroom to use our single blow up mattress for another guest. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We have an eat-in kitchen that seats 5.

The kitchen is fully stocked with beautiful dinnerware, glassware and a full set of quality cookware, pots, and pans. You will have all the utensils and serving dishes you may need for a simple meal or a gourmet romantic dinner.

Out back in the private patio area, by the waterfall, you can grill your steaks and burgers on the large propane grill with all the utensils and propane you’ll need. The fireplace, next to the waterfall, is a great place to have a romantic evening or a special family time. Firewood is not provided.

Your horses can stay in the two Horse pastures with covered stalls and water tanks. Parking is available for your Horse trailer. Hay is provided for a fee. This must be arranged ahead of time.

You are welcome to hike the property and explore the unique granite rock formations. Please use care and limit your exploring to the lower rocks.

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument Visitor Center is 2 miles away. This is a wonderful place for Horse trail riding and Hiking,

18 miles south is Historic Cripple Creek. There you will find Gaming, Steam Locomotive train rides, Gold mine tours and many dining choices.

Skiing is just a little over an hour away. Breckenridge or Monarch. Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Copper, and Cooper are just an hour and 30 minutes. and there is virtually no traffic!

Hiking our nation's tallest mountains. There are seven "14'ers" less than 1 1/2 hours away. Most of these are moderate hikes. You can easily drive to any of these, Hike, go to dinner and return home in a day. The largest granite, the freestanding natural arch is just 20 miles from here. Harmonica Arch is a great hike in the Lost Creek Wilderness Area.

Pikes Peak Highway and Santa's Workshop are only 30 minutes away. Or the Crags trailhead is 20 minutes from the cabin. There you will find a beautiful hike to Devils Playground and on to the summit of Pikes Peak.

There many places to go fly fishing, including several Blue Ribbon streams and the " Dream Stream". This area has some of the best Elk, Mule deer and Pronghorn hunting around.

• ALL dogs must be pre-approved. Dogs may never be left unattended in the cabin unless crated. Guests let us know that they are bringing their dog during the booking communications.

• There is a $25 charge for each dog or horse. Out of respect for the next guests, dogs may not be on any furniture, bedding or pillows at any time.

• Cats are never permitted.

Proud Owner wants to share the unique experience of a 1200 sq/ft Log Cabin nested in the Aspen trees of Colorado. 2- bedrooms and 1.5 bath, (with heated bidet). Home provides cozy comfort for a secluded romantic getaway. Perfect for the discriminating couple, or couples, looking to get away from it all. The covered outside deck provides plenty of room for relaxation, endless views, stargazing outdoor BBQ and dining,. Treat yourself to a relaxing soak in the comfortable 2-person Hot Tub. There is plenty of room to park your vehicle. If you are traveling with an RV there is space to park your RV that includes a 50 amp service, but no water or sewer is provided. The cabin has WiFi service through Starlink that includes Netflix and Amazon.

There are numerous places to visit and explore within an hours drive. Cripple Creek for gambling and dining is 20 miles away. Eleven Mile Canyon offers stunning scenery and offers Gold Metal fly fishing on the South Platte River is less than 30 minutes drive from the cabin. Other nearby attractions include Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Buena Vista, Co which also offers River rafting along the Arkansas River. The Dinosaur Museum in beautiful downtown Woodland Park is also a very interesting place to visit. Cave of the Winds and Garden of the Gods is a must-see when visiting Manitou Springs located between Woodland Park and Colorado Springs.

The cabin is located 12 miles back on a County maintained dirt road that can be wash board and dusty at times, but is definitely worth the drive.

Please keep in mind, the cabin is located at 9200 ft elevation so this can have an effect on people who may have respiratory difficulties or are sensitive to higher elevations. Drink lots of water.

Woodland Park is a small quaint mountain town with awesome views of Pikes Peak. It is with in driving distance to must see sites in the area such as Pikes Peak, The Dinosaur Museum, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, Santa's Workshop, Garden of The Gods, Cliff Dwellings, Cave of The Winds, Manitou Springs, Olympic Training Center, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and much more! Breckenridge is a beautiful 1 & 1/2 hour drive. Outside the Farmhouse are sidewalks for walking, riding bikes and absorbing the views of Pikes Peak. Memorial Park is 2 blocks away and is a small paradise with unforgettable views of Pikes Peak!

Once you arrive, you can park your car and walk to downtown where you will find shopping and dining. You can also walk to the Casino pick up area where you can catch the bus to Cripple Creek for some gambling or to catch a local theater show.

Pine Ridge, part of the Ridge Vacation Properties group, is a charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath, 900-square-foot mountaintop cabin. Nestled in the woods at an elevation of 9200 feet, you're away from it all but still close to everything! Our goal is to make Pine Ridge your favorite getaway, so we've furnished the cabin with everything you might need or want and have decorated it with a mix of new, vintage, and antique pieces with convenience and relaxation in mind. And even though your plan may be to disconnect from the world for a few days, you're always in touch with free Wi-Fi and internet.

The cozy furnishings include luxury bedding and mattresses, a variety of pillows, Turkish cotton towels, crisp cotton linens, and plenty of ambient lighting. We've also added many smart-home conveniences for your benefit, easily controlled by voice using the Amazon Alexa devices located throughout the cabin and on the deck. Play music, ask a question, control the lights --even adjust the temperature just by speaking. Of course, all the traditional switches and controls still work, and the smart features can be disabled for those with privacy concerns. We've tried to think of everything...we want you to be very comfortable here!

The cabin is all on one level and can easily sleep six. In the LIVING ROOM, the electric fireplace puts you in a relaxed frame of mind with the push of a button, so gather the family and wrap yourselves in cozy throws for a movie marathon on the 55" smart HD television, stretch out for a well-deserved nap on the cushy sofa, or watch the birds and wildlife out the large windows. You'll also have access to the queen sofa bed with memory foam mattress if you decide to binge-watch TV all night long.

You'll find that the roomy eat-in KITCHEN is fully stocked with plenty of pots and pans, glassware, dishes, all the utensils and gadgets you might need to whip up delicious meals and yummy treats, a microwave, slow cooker, a variety of bakeware, a blender, hand mixer, Cuisinart toaster, and a Cuisinart coffee maker that accepts single-serve Keurig-style coffee pods as well as ground coffee for making a full carafe. Basic pantry items such as spices, sugar, oils, condiments, paper goods, trash bags, all necessary soaps, kitchen linens, and some coffee and tea to get you started, are provided. A gas grill is conveniently located off the kitchen through the large sliding door. The antique dining set in the EATING AREA seats six and overlooks the wrap-around deck and the woods beyond. Gather here for a big breakfast before heading out for the day, or stay in and get out the games and puzzles for some memory-making time together.

Down the hall, the FIRST BEDROOM has a queen bed, while the SECOND BEDROOM offers two twin beds...the mattresses are plush and oh so comfy, and we use fresh cotton sheets and quilts so you can snuggle down for a great night's sleep in our clean mountain air. You'll always have access to extra blankets, comforters, and a variety of pillows, and both bedrooms have plenty of hanging and drawer space for your belongings. If you're traveling with little ones, you'll find a portable crib with appropriate linens as well as a highchair, sippy cups, and special kid-friendly dinnerware for your convenience --less equipment for you to haul!

The roomy BATHROOM features a full-size bathtub and shower, plenty of thick Turkish cotton towels, and all the toiletries, soaps, and paper goods you'll need to make yourselves at home. A separate LAUNDRY ROOM near the bedrooms contains a full-size washer and dryer, and laundry supplies are provided just in case your favorite hoodie needs washing before your next adventure.

Outside, you'll find a table and chairs for al fresco dining, along with comfy wicker seating on the WRAP-AROUND DECK, where you can relax with your morning coffee to watch the birds start their day. Listen to the hypnotizing sound of the seasonal rock WATERFALL while watching the chipmunks get a drink and wild turkey gather at the bird feeder. There are plenty of outdoor blankets so you can enjoy hours in the cool evening air around the FIRE PIT, and we provide all the necessary supplies for toasting and roasting over a crackling campfire. Unwind and feel every muscle begin to relax in the HOT TUB, where the view is nothing but mountains and trees. Stretch out in the hammock with a good book or initiate a tournament with one of our outdoor games. You may just decide to stay outside indefinitely!

Pine Ridge is located on a quiet gravel road just 2 miles from pavement, and the road is county maintained year round. The driveway to the cabin is also gravel, and a few guests have described it as being on the steep side. Those guests arriving in 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles will not have any problem. Even 2-wheel drive vehicles typically manage just fine in the summer, and additional access options are available when the weather is inclement. The space
My guests may use the deck, front porch and yard as well as the top two floors of the cabin. I use the lower level and garage for my personal storage so no guests are allowed in these spaces.

Guests will have access to the two upper floors of the house. The lower level is used for storage and is locked away from the rental space.

Other things to note
There will be a 1000 gallon weekly water limit. This house is on a cistern and water must be delivered by trucking it in to the tank.

The ceiling fan in the great room doesn’t work.

Cost of any pet damage will be charged to the guest. We are happy to host both you and your dogs!

Guests will have exclusive access to the entire property including the cabin, driveway parking, sauna (with signing of liability waiver), back porch, fire pit area and spacious backyard with yard games. Guest will not have access to a few closets locked for supplies.

Other things to note
FIREWOOD TIPS: While we do not provide firewood, you may find some left by previous guests that you are welcome to use. If you need firewood, Ace Hardware, located at 1920 Co Rd 31, Florissant, CO 80816, usually carries it, as do some of the local grocery stores.

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS: The cabin is open and accessible year-round, but the last miles are via dirt roads that are well maintained by the county and plowed after snow. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip, we kindly request that you travel in an appropriate vehicle, particularly during the winter months.

SAUNA: The sauna is available for you to use, but we keep it locked for child safety and liability. A brief liability waiver is required to use it, just scan the QR code onsite to sign the waiver, and you will automatically be provided with the code for the lock. The sauna is open year-round, but without warranty or guarantee or any kind.

DOG FRIENDLY: This is a pet-friendly listing at an additional fee for pets who qualify. Please message us before booking to see if your pets qualify. Certified service animals are not considered pets; please reach out to us with information about your certified service animal prior to booking. We will make a reasonable accommodation if at all possible. There is no fee for a certified service animal. We do not allow cats at this property.

FIRE RESTRICTIONS: Wildfires are common in Colorado, so we require all guests to check local fire restrictions before using the fire pit and grill. We require that local fire restrictions are honored out of safety for our guests, the forest and nearby wildlife. Violation of this rule may result in immediate termination of your reservation.

ADDITIONAL FEES: We have put so much work into making your stay perfect, and we value the time we have between guests to prepare for future guests. Please note that there are minimal fees for guaranteed early check-ins or late check outs to cover the expenses of reworking the schedule or adding an additional cleaner to the schedule to accommodate your request. TRASH AND RECYCLING: Trash and recycling are collected on Friday mornings. Bins should be placed out on the street on Thursday evenings. This cabin is semi off grid. We do have electricity and wifi. The toilet is a Nature's Head composting toilet. We do ask that you are mindful of your water usage as we are on a cistern. There is plenty of water for normal daily usage with the 1000 gallon cistern, but please do not do unnecessary laundry or let the water run for no reason, thank you! We highly recommend AWD or 4WD vehicle as you are on mountain dirt roads with a steep driveway.

There are stairs and the location is at 9400 feet elevation. Guest will travel dirt roads about 1.5 miles to reach house, but roads are well maintained and easily driven by any type of car.

Experience the charm of this 125 year old cabin overlooking a valley and surrounded by mountains.  Built in 1900, it is one of the earliest cabins constructed in this beautiful area.  We have maintained the look and wonderful design while adding modern features for your enjoyment and comfort.

The space
The cabin has vaulted ceilings, original brick exposed in kitchen, lots of windows, is tastefully decorated and inviting. Games and puzzles are available as well as a TV with Roku. Original wood siding is in bedroom that previously was part of the porch with sunroom type windows. The front, screened porch has seating as well as a porch swing to relax on. The bunk room features a window, sturdy bunk beds and a small kids play area.

Important info:
Parking: There is a carport in the back cabin. Taller vehicles can pull perpendicular to the end of the carport. The shared driveway (with neighbor) is very steep and made of gravel. AWD is recommended to access the cabin and 4WD during the winter months. There is a parking area below the cabin. You can fit a small vehicle on the West side. The East side is for the white cabin only. Only 1 vehicle please.

Neighborhood: This residential area is gorgeous in the midst of a beautiful mountain side. The homes and cabins in the neighborhood are naturally close together tucked into the mountainside. Please be respectful of both residents and other guests staying in the neighborhood alike. It's common to see deer, at times foxes, and occasionally a bear (early morning hours).

Green Mountain Falls: This community has coffee, ice cream, and restaurants. Fishing, a gazebo, a playground, and a gorgeous pond as well. A beautiful creek runs from Chipita Park (Cascade) into Green Mtn Falls alongside a walking trail. Ester's Trail, Ring the Peak Trails, and many other hiking trails are within driving distance. Skyspace: hiking trail to an art space.

Cascade is towards Pikes Peak and features the Wines of Colorado Restaurant, North Pole amusement park, the driving entrance to Pikes Peak, and shops.

Manitou Springs features the Cog Railway which takes you to the top of Pikes Peak, the Penny Arcade, lots of shopping and restaurants, the Manitou Incline hike, and art as well. It is a beautiful town.

Rampart Reservoir/trails are about 35 min. This is a good place to paddleboard, kayak, and fish. We've caught rainbow trout here.

Experience the easy mountain life of Victor, Colorado, a gold mining town founded in the late 19th century and nicknamed the “City of Mines.” Heart of Gold is located on a gorgeous hillside at the edge of town and features unobstructed views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Only five miles from Cripple Creek and 45 minutes from Colorado Springs, this 420-friendly two-bedroom, two-bath cabin is also walking distance to downtown Victor. Heart of Gold is a true miner’s getaway!

The space
Sitting at an elevation of roughly 9,700 feet in the foothills of Pikes Peak, Heart of Gold is one of our newest Rocky Mountain vacation rentals and is sure to become a fan favorite with outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Victor, Colorado, also known as “The City of Mines,” was established in 1894, and to this day boasts the original architecture throughout downtown, with many of the buildings dating back to 1899. As part of the Cripple Creek Mining District, the area was once the second-largest gold mining area in American history. A historic 19th century home, Heart of Gold was built in 1898, and fully renovated in 2023.

Gold mining ruins, relics of what was once a booming gold rush town, are scattered all along the Victor hillsides. Several hiking trails, lovingly deemed “Trails of Gold,” lead to old mining camps. A family favorite is the Vindicator Valley Trailhead, which features numerous historic buildings and spectacular views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad is a crowd pleaser for all ages, taking riders on a history-filled 45-minute, four-mile round trip featuring gorgeous scenery and an authentic narrow-gauge railroad experience on the century-old steam locomotive.

Heart of Gold is a 420-friendly two-bedroom, two-bath mountain cabin, perfect for couples or small groups who want to enjoy the mountains any time of year. Our home is a 10-minute drive to Cripple Creek and its casinos, a 20-minute drive to Woodland Park, a one hour drive to Colorado Springs, and a 90-minute drive to the famous Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center. A 4WD vehicle is recommended in all seasons, and required to access the home in the wintertime.

Heart of Gold can accommodate six guests comfortably, utilizing two king beds and two twin beds (not bunks). We do not offer sleeper sofas. The interior space is 883 square feet.

The main entry door is on the south side of the cabin. There is a lockbox mounted near the door. Guests will be given the access code to the lockbox prior to their arrival.

Heart of Gold is decorated with eclectic antique furnishings. The home’s windows open, allowing you to feel right at home with nature. Wake up to see wandering deer, elk, and foxes, or just watch hummingbirds as the wind whispers a morning welcome through the trees. Considering the cabin's secluded and private vibe, it's hard to imagine that you are still only minutes away from downtown Victor and five minutes from Cripple Creek.

Upon entering Heart of Gold, guests are greeted by a bright kitchen and dining area. This open-concept layout is perfect for enjoying time with friends and family. The living area features cozy leather chairs and a matching leather sofa, plus a flat-screen smart television. We do not offer access to streaming services or cable. Guests are to sign in to their own app accounts and are responsible for signing out upon departure.

The kitchen is fully stocked with more than the basics; pots and pans, a drip coffee pot, a K-cup coffee maker, a tea kettle, and ample utensils. If we have not stocked an item that is needed, please let us know. Please note that the home will occasionally have coffee, sugar, creamers, salt, pepper, and olive oil. However, we do not stock these items. If desired, we can arrange for grocery shopping and delivery prior to arrival. The dining table seats three.

There are two bedrooms in the cabin, each with a king bed, nightstands with reading lamps, and ample space to store your luggage. One of the bedrooms has direct access to the main floor three-piece bathroom. This bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway area off of the kitchen.

Off of the living room we have an open-concept flex space, which is ideal sleeping quarters for the kiddos. This space features a daybed with trundle, reading lamp, and luggage storage.

Underneath the house, guests will find the laundry room and the second three-piece bath. The full-size washer and dryer are for guest use. Although we offer a starter pack of laundry detergent, guests should always supply their own detergent for extended stays.

A 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended for all seasons, and is required to access the home in the wintertime. Please review our listing for more details on access. Remember to use common sense when traveling on our curvy (and often snowy) mountain roads.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home. The laundry room and second bathroom are downstairs. Guests do have to go outside to get to this space.

Other things to note
Heart of Gold is a 420-friendly cabin. As medical and recreational marijuana are both legalized in the state of Colorado, these items may be enjoyed in the house and on the grounds. Please be mindful of the laws of the state of Colorado. The closest dispensaries are located about 90 minutes away in Manitou Springs.

Like many cabins located in the higher elevations of the Rocky Mountains, Heart of Gold does not have an HVAC system–only central heating. However, due to the mild temperatures that Victor enjoys during the summer, simply opening a few windows should provide sufficient cooling for the space, and allow guests to enjoy the captivating sounds of nature.
