My husband and I love the community of St. Mary's - the history, the land, the neighbors, the views...it's breath-takingly beautiful! This is our vacation home with our 4 children, and we want to share it with you when we can't be there.

A little more about the cabin - it's a one bedroom (cozy and comfortable), one full-bath, a cool 'ladder-loft' that comfortably sleeps two (twin mattresses), a sleeper sofa in the living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a TON of extras including a Pack-N-Play for your littlest one, a fold-out toddler cot, an umbrella stroller to use when strolling through town, various size snow boots during the winter season , snow jackets in size small in women's and medium in men's, snow pants (if they fit, you're welcome to use them), super soft blankets for star viewing, and so many extras.

Step through the 'Looking Glass' and experience snow-topped trees and mountains in the winter and crisp, cool terrain and hummingbirds that whir by during the spring and summer. Spectacular views are what sets our cabin apart. We are 10,000 feet up, and our deck offers an unobstructed view of the mountains. We face the absolutely spectacular sunrises, and go to bed with cozy fires. Please be advised that you will need a 4WD vehicle during snow months (typically late October through April usually) to make it up and down the mountain.

If you'd like a little adventure while you're here, there is plenty to do right up on the mountain, down in Idaho Springs and within a short drive! For the outdoorsy, hiking is very popular (a hike to St. Mary's Glacier is a MUST), ATV tours are a five minute drive away, fishing (we provide 2 passes, poles, and a stocked tackle-box!) to fish in 2 private stocked lakes (catch and release only); horseback riding within 30 minutes, ziplining, white-water rafting, SHOPPING and DINING in quaint Idaho Springs...), but honestly, just buying groceries in town for dinners, watching some movies or your favorite show on satellite with a glass of wine or a local beer on the deck or by the fire may be just what you are seeking. We cherish memories and want this getaway to be 'that memory' for you!

Our home is located in St. Mary's Glacier, a subdivision about 10 miles northwest of Idaho Springs, and about an hour from the Denver Metro area. It sits at just under 10,000 feet so remember to drink lots of water. We have two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. There is a full bath upstairs as well as a small washer and dryer, a stocked linen closet, and plenty of storage for clothes. Downstairs we have an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area with a 2 person breakfast bar and all the comforts of home. Off the living room is a half bath, a selection of DVD's and books, Direct TV, Wifi, and our couch folds out to a queen size bed. A wood burning stove in the living room can heat the entire house but there are also electric baseboard heaters in every room.

We love animals and we do allow a maximum of 2 dogs for an additional fee of $75 per stay. Please make sure to indicate pets in your reservation.

We love to sit out on the deck in the morning and drink coffee while we wait for the deer to frolic by on their way to the creek that backs up to the property. During the summer, our feeders attract hummingbirds, moose are common, and at times black bears like to visit the neighborhood. 4-wheeling trails are abundant in the St. Mary's area and many can be accessed from our house. The Indian Hot Springs are just a short drive down to Idaho Springs which also has rafting, shopping, breweries, excellent BBQ, and the iconic Beau Jo's pizza. There were so many wonderful extras waiting for us as well, such as a bottle of wine, some beer, bottles of water, Keurig cups, cozy robes and slippers, snow shoes, outdoor blankets, games, etc. Everything was carefully thought out by the owners, including the booklets with all the information that could be needed or anticipated. We actually tripped a breaker and easily read the information packet and quickly located the breaker out back. Using the hot tub under the stars surrounded by snow was magical and the sauna was a fun treat and easy to use! This cabin is located in an area with other homes/cabins nearby but none obstructed our view and we felt like we were in complete solitude. It was wonderful ! The cabin sleeps 4 easily, however, we noticed a pull-out sofa in the living room can accommodate two more. I can't say enough good things about this cabin and our stay. We highly recommend it!"

REMOTE CABIN STUFF
- Our cabin has satellite Starlink internet and therefore the connection can sometimes drop for a few seconds every hour or so. Not noticeable unless work from home with lots of long duration video and voice calls. Use your time at our home to disconnect from technology and embrace the beauty of the Rockies!
- The Master Bedroom has low, sloped ceilings so please watch your head when going upstairs and walking around!

SNOW
- During winter / spring months, we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to be able to easily park in our potentially snowy / icy driveway. Please plan accordingly as we do not offer refunds due to road conditions and incapable vehicles. The driveway is short at only about 50 yards from a county-maintained road that is well-plowed. Guests may have to shovel out (snow shovel provided) the driveway if there is a large snowstorm during the visit. Large snowstorms occur 1-5 times/season. It is recommended to be able-bodied during winter/early spring months.

WILDLIFE
- Please do not leave trash and food outside as this will attract wildlife! Bears, elk, big horn sheep, and deer roam the area. However, encounters are rare.
WIND
- The cabin occasionally gets high winds, especially in the winter months, sometimes reaching up to 65 miles per hour. The noise from the wind can be quite noticeable. Ensure you and your guests understand that such conditions may exist during your stay.
LANDSCAPE
- The land can be uneven, rocky, and dangerous in the Rocky Mountains. Please be mindful of proper footing around the property.

During the day, we hiked St. Mary's glacier, Berthoud Pass, Echo Lake to Indian Springs Reservoir, and Square Top Lakes. We also went to Fall River Reservoir (4x4 required) and drove MT Evans scenic byway (timed reservation required). We saw mountain goats and bighorn sheep. My son fished in the neighborhood lake after dinner and caught 2 fish (worms worked but not power bait). Had a fun filled week! The cabin was a perfect place to hang out in the evening. The host Jenna was very responsive to any questions we had the first few days."

We visited Echo Mountain (45 min drive) and Loveland (20 min drive), as well as Indian Hot Springs (10 min drive) which we highly recommend. The spot was super clean, we appreciated the blackout curtains in the bedroom. There were some issues with the wifi, but management was swift and responsive. We came to unplug anyway so it wasn’t an issue for us. Communicating with the manager was really easy and pleasant. They were really helpful and accommodating when we had some timing changes. We picked this spot because it was pet friendly and it was perfect for our short getaway. We boiled water for tea in a pot but a tea kettle would have been nice."

This cabin is the perfect spot to rest after a day in the mountains! The main floor living room and kitchen are fully stocked, but please note that the fridge is a mini fridge. The upstairs loft is outfitted with a queen bed and a queen size pull-out sofa. The basement has a bunk bed!

One thing to note: our valley location limits our access to internet, so cell signal, WiFi and cable can be slow or non-existent at times. We recommend planning to be off-the-grid in case this happens during your stay! There is a DVD player :)

The space:

The cabin is ideal for 2-4 guests, and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Located at an elevation of 10,3000 feet, this is a true mountain getaway!

Area and neighborhood:

Guests are welcome to access two private mountain lakes, within walking distance from the cabin. The St. Mary’s Glacier trailhead is also just a short walk away - One of Colorado’s most popular hikes that leads to a beautiful mountain lake and the glacier itself that you can walk on!

This neighborhood is perfectly positioned for adventure. We’re just 30 miles from Loveland Ski Area and within an hour's drive to Keystone, Breckenridge, and Winter Park. Downtown Idaho Springs is just 10 miles away, where you can explore local shops, restaurants and the famous Indian Hot Springs. For live music, Red Rocks Amphitheater is 30 miles away. The Central City Casino District is within 20 miles. We are also conveniently located an hour from downtown Denver and off I-70 for easy access from Denver International Airport.

Working from home:

The cabin is equipped with Starlink internet, ideal for remote work (Wifi speeds often exceed 250+ Mbps). You can stream 4k videos, download large files and join video calls on multiple devices. Set up your workspace on the large dining room table or utilize the two desks found in the loft or front of the cabin.

Cabin details:

Sleeping - We have 1 loft-style bedroom with an ultra-comfortable queen-sized bed, a cozy quilt and of course - plenty of extra pillows and blankets! The loft also features a full-sized futon with high-quality memory foam that is comfortable for sleeping. The main floor has cozy twin bunk beds, making the cabin flexible for different sleeping arrangements. **IMPORTANT: Your must be able to manage a steep spiral staircase to access the loft.

Kitchen - The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and includes all essentials such as dishes, pots, pans, baking sheets, and silverware. Basic cooking ingredients like spices, salt and pepper, and olive oil are also provided. A fully stocked Keurig coffee machine, drip coffee maker, and tea kettle are available for your use. The space is anchored by an oversized dining table, perfect for enjoying a cozy meal.

Living room - The cabin’s open-concept design features vaulted ceilings, allowing natural light to fill the space. You’ll find a 47" HDTV equipped with Fire TV for streaming and a Nintendo Switch for gaming. There is also an electric indoor fireplace which adds a toasty touch. Whether you're curled up with a book, challenging someone to a game, or relaxing with a film, this living room is the heart of your mountain getaway.

Outside deck - The spacious back deck is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind after a day of adventure. It’s furnished with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a fire pit, ready for roasting marshmallows under the night stars. The backyard offers privacy and amazing views of the surrounding evergreen trees and mountains.

Bathroom - We have 1 bathroom that is well-appointed with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay, including fresh towels, toilet paper, and toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

** Please remember, this cabin is in a remote mountain area and is susceptible to inclement weather. 4-wheel drive vehicles with winter tires are strongly recommended from November to May.

Guest access:

Guests have access to the entire cabin and property, including a spacious outdoor area ideal for soaking in the mountain air and star-gazing. Guests will also have access to 2 private mountain lakes, Silver Lake and Lake Quivira.

Other things to note:

WINTER SNOW SEASON - During the winter snow season, St. Mary’s Glacier area can see very large snow accumulation. AWD/4WD vehicles are strongly recommended from November to April. If it snows during your stay, we have a plow service to clear the roads and a shoveling service to clear pathways to the cabin. ** We can not offer refunds for any of these conditions.

PARKING - The property includes a dirt pull-in driveway suitable for one car. Additional parking is available along the street on both sides of the house.

EXTENDED STAYS - The cabin is perfect for longer stays, as it’s conveniently located within 10 miles of downtown Idaho Springs. Nearby conveniences include a Safeway grocery store, Starbucks and a recreation center. The center offers daily passes for $11 or monthly for $72. It features a gym, 25-yard pool, sauna, basketball courts and more.

Our cabin is in a woodsy mountainside, at 10,000 ft in St Mary's Glacier, Colorado. This is a paradise for outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, sledding, hot springs, ATV trails and more! The famous St. Mary's Glacier Trailhead, known for its stunning alpine lake and glacier views, is just a short 5 min walk from our front door so you won't have to pay for parking. Let us be your guide to exploring the area's natural wonders, and we'll recommend the best places to visit.

We have a full-size kitchen with new stainless steel appliances but if you don't feel like cooking we're conveniently located 12 miles from downtown Idaho Springs where you'll find an adorable mountain town filled with many shops, restaurants, bars, and a grocery store.

Cabin Highlights:
Our goal is to make your trip as smooth as possible so we've made sure to include all the amenities you might need including a coffee maker (and coffee and tea), hair dryers, soap/shampoo/conditioner, fully stocked kitchen including spices and oil, pack and play, booster seat, board games, movies, and high-speed Starlink internet so you can stream your shows.

Bonus: we just upgraded to new stainless steel appliances so you'll have a full-sized kitchen for all of your cooking needs. Full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. We also have a propane grill outside.

THE MOUNTAIN CABIN is an authentic miner's cabin perfectly located in a historic area where Colorado Gold Rush began over 150 years ago. There is an actual mine at the end of the street you can visit to immerse yourself in rich Colorado mining history. The tour must be pre-arranged in advance.
The cabin offers mountain/hill views from the front porch and from the large deck in the back. The Cabin is located on a quiet street within a short walking distance of the historic district of Idaho Springs (restaurants, museums, hot springs, white water rafting tours, mining tours) and close to all other local attractions including LOVELAND and ELDORA SKI RESORTS.
The cabin has two private bedrooms furnished with a queen-size bed each. Each bedroom interior has been recently remodeled with beautiful natural pine panels and walls. It looks and smells as if you are in the pine forest!
The kitchen is fully equipped. New stainless steel glass top range and stainless steel hood over it. The breakfast area is adjacent to the kitchen. A recently remodeled bathroom with a shower is located between the bedrooms. There is a high-efficiency washer and dryer in the cabin for your convenience.
The great room has a gas stove for additional comfort and ambiance. It is beautifully decorated with a mountain/ski theme. You can see the old snow sleds, authentic ice skates, and other decorations mounted on the walls.
The cabin has a central heating system with a new furnace. The water heater is also new.
Enjoy beautiful mountain views and wildlife viewing (deer and foxes come very close to the deck). A new BBQ grill and new comfortable patio furniture are available for your comfort and relaxation on the wood deck in the back of the cabin.

- "We just finished a wonderful month at this property. Idaho Springs was the perfect location to split time between Denver and the ski areas along I70. Great little town with good restaurants and shops. Julia is a great host, and responded right away when we had a couple questions, and a small problem. (The problem was my fault) The house itself is comfy and cozy. While not luxurious, it is a great value for the money. The kitchen, laundry, and bedrooms are all very functional and nice. The gas stove/heater in the living room is nice after a cold day of skiing. If you want luxury there are plenty of $500+ a night places along the I70 corridor. However if you want a nice, functional place in a cool old mining town with room to sleep 5 for a reasonable price-This is the place."

The space includes a living/dining area with a fold-up table; a full bathroom with clean towels and toiletries; and a kitchen stocked with dishes, a fridge and microwave. Please note: there is NO stove or oven for guest use. There is also an electric kettle, toaster and small slow cooker. Our tiny house is located in an equally tiny trailer park perched on the side of a mountain. Our neighbors live in a diverse mixture of housing, including apartments, cabins, mobile and single family homes.

Getting around:
Getting around is easy with a convenient location right off of highway 70, in between Georgetown and Idaho Springs.

Other things to note:
There is NO wifi Internet. But there is a smart TV and Bluetooth speaker to connect with your personal hotspot.

Welcome to The Alpine Aframe, a charming cabin nestled at over 10,000 feet in the Rockies. For eight months, this cabin was our passion project. We thoughtfully remodeled the space to create a serene and elevated atmosphere. With two cozy queen bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and high-end yet simple amenities. The cabin is a 5 minute walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead and a 25 minute drive to downtown Idaho Springs. It's located in a quiet neighborhood but feels remote and tucked away in nature. This mountain retreat has everything you need for a relaxing, tranquil, and comfortable stay.

PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFO BEFORE BOOKING:
We recommend purchasing travel insurance in case you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances or events not covered in the cancellation policy. A four wheel drive vehicle is required from October 1st-May 31st, we will not provide a refund if the roads are open but your vehicle cannot make it. During these months only 1 vehicle is permitted since you will need to park at the base of the driveway and walk up the short driveway to the cabin. No additional parking spaces are available. You must be able bodied as the drive way and stairs are steep and can be slick when it snows. You’ll have to clear a path on the deck when it snows during your stay. Fire place usage is not allowed due to our insurance policy. Internet is satellite internet, it may not work during your stay due to weather conditions. Please note, this is our only internet option since this is a remote cabin in the middle of the mountains.

If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of the forest, that is very private, this is not it - as noted it is on a large property, but there are many other cabins on the property in addition to this one. Always contact us via the AirBnB app for assistance! By booking this listing, your access is for the Pebble cabin, and not the surrounding cabins.

Other things to note
We cannot guarantee that we can answer the phone at all hours of the day and night if you call. We have one phone, and the person who answers the phone cannot be awake 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you need anything whatsoever during your stay, you must message us via the Airbnb app. That is the only way we can guarantee a response. We have several staff members who monitor the messages, and can most promptly assist you in that manner.

Guests, please note that this cabin was built many, many years ago. Although it has had many beautiful updates done, it is an old building and is not ADA compliant. Some of its features may not be to current building code, but are consistent to its year of construction.

There have been sightings of bear, mountain lion, deer, elk, moose, and foxes in the area. This is their home too. Please make sure to bring all food inside at night. Do not sleep with the doors open. Animals can be curious!

Upon entering you are greeted with wooded views, vaulted ceiling and a well designed space. At 10,200 feet, you will feel like you're on top of the world! This cabin offers everything needed to relax and disconnect while keeping those modern amenities at your fingertips. You have access to WiFi, TV with the top streaming services (remember to logout before you leave). While plenty of fresh linens and towels/wash cloths/hand towels are provided, Washer/Dryer is provided for you to use, but detergent may be limited.

Bedrooms:
There are 2 bedrooms to choose from. Both are queen beds and on separate sides of the cabin. Remember, you're at 10,000 feet so the nights can get chilly, but don't worry, each bed has an electric mattress pad to keep you toasty warm.

Feel like getting out for some fresh mountain air? Hike St. Mary's Glacier Trailhead or Loch Lomond Trailhead, both within 5 min! Want to experience a snapshot of the gold rush, head down the mountain to tour Historic Argo Gold Mill. Coming in the winter and want to catch some fresh pow, you're about an hour away from some of Colorado's best skiing/snowboarding. If you're visiting in the summer months, the area has fishing, zip lining, or if you're a thrill seeker you can try your hand at rafting.

Located at over 10,000 feet in the Colorado Rockies, this cabin offers a stunning mountain retreat with some practical considerations. Access to the cabin from Oct-Jun requires a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, as roads can be steep, muddy and snow-covered. The thin air can make physical activity more strenuous, and temperatures can drop quickly, even in summer, so be sure to pack warm layers. While the cabin is connected to the grid, power outages are possible due to storms or heavy snow—emergency lanterns and one night of firewood is provided, but additional wood is recommended.

Our entire private home is available to guests, and self check-in instructions will be sent 24-48 hours before your stay.
We know that many guests like to check-in early and truly hope to accommodate all requests. We will attempt to message you once the cleaning crew has completed their work to let you know the home is available.

Other things to note:
If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck/pathway to clear a path. We have snow removal service after every major snow storm ends but it is likely you may need to shovel snow. Ice melt is usually readily available. 4WD vehicles are required October - May and AWD is strongly encouraged year-round. Please inquire prior to booking if you have questions regarding road conditions. If roads are open and you can't make it to the rental, no refunds will be issued.

Parking for 2 cars, please plan accordingly as parking on the county roads may result in a parking ticket or tow.

Exterior Cameras:
There is an exterior security camera on each of the doors (3 total). These allow us to monitor the weather, snowfall, and can assist with initial entry. Once checked in, all cameras are turned off!

Heating/AC:
Mountain climate is mild and most houses do not have central AC. Feel free to open windows as needed! There are floorboard heaters throughout the living space and bedrooms. You can adjust these as needed (they will heat the bedrooms up quick, I recommend keeping them low). There is a wood can be used with enough wood for your first night as well as a fire starter log to help get you going. Additional wood can be purchased in town at Safeway.

Parties or Events:
There are no parties or events allowed at the rental.

Pets:
We are a pet friendly rental; 2 pets max. We charge a $100 non-refundable accommodation fare during your stay.

If house rules are broken we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit and/or cancel your reservation.

Check-In and Check-Out:
After submitting your booking, you'll receive a thank you confirmation message, and within 48 hours prior to check-in you'll receive additional instructions for your arrival.

Travel Insurance/Cancellations:
We HIGHLY recommend buying travel insurance through your airline company, car rental company, or a travel insurance website. We cannot provide a refund for anything that falls outside of our cancellation policy and the dates that correspond with the policy. This includes date change requests as they are considered the same as cancellations (if the new requested check-in date is a later date than your original check-in date). We cannot provide a refund due to travel related issues or Covid. Please review the Airbnb cancellation policy if you haven't already. This can be found under your reservation, directly through our listing, or through the website that you booked. In most cases (but not all), you have a minimum of 48 hours to cancel your reservation to receive a full refund. Many reservations may have a longer period for a full refund. Last minute bookings are typically non-refundable.

Altitude:
Remember, you are at 10,000+ feet - the altitude means that your body will need to adjust to thinner air. Drinking plenty of water and taking frequent breaks if you feel winded/out-of-breath is recommended. Please check with your doctor before booking if you may have any conditions that may be adversely affected by a higher altitude. Our Property Manager does offer the use of Oxygen Concentrator (for a fee), if needed.

This cabin is the perfect spot to rest after a day in the mountains! The main floor has a living room and kitchen. The upstairs loft is outfitted with a queen bed and a queen size pull-out sofa. The basement has a bunk bed!

Our mountain location limits our access to internet, so the cell signal, WiFi and cable can be very slow or non-existent at times. We recommend planning to be off-the-grid in case this happens during your stay!

We do not allow parties.

The space
Enjoy 2 dedicated parking spots just steps away from the front door, and a second-story balcony. The back windows look over our family's reindeer pen!

You have access to the entire cabin!

Outdoor access is limited to the space directly in front of the cabin. The surrounding areas are private property. But there are tons of great hiking options just 8 miles up the road at Echo Lake! We recommend searching "Idaho Springs" on AllTrails.com to find options and ideas.

The creek runs behind the cabins but is not physically accessible. It runs on private land that we do not own and there is a steep bank preventing access.

Please respect our neighbors and do not attempt to access the creek. But please do open the cabin windows and enjoy the soothing sounds it provides!

Other things to note
Please note that flies and bugs cannot be completely eliminated from the cabin. We do our best to mitigate them while cleaning and with natural deterrents (peppermint spray, cedar blocks, ect), but ultimately they are part of the mountain life.

No parties of any kind are allowed at our properties. A maximum of 6 people are allowed in the cabin due to fire code. We cannot grant exceptions to this, sorry!

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any early check-ins (check-in is 4:00) because of our cleaning schedule.

Although the cabin is located just 4 miles from town (along a fully paved road), cell phone reception is limited on the property. Cable television is provided! However, our remote location limits our access to internet, so the WiFi can be very slow or non-existent at times. We recommend planning for a relaxing mountain vacation without cell service or internet, just in case technology is not cooperating when you arrive!

Bear Paw Cabin sleeps 5 comfortably in 2 bedrooms plus a living room day bed, and it features a newly updated kitchen, 2 fireplaces (wood provided!), updated bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, & laundry on-site. Highlights of your trip will be fishing on the 2 private ponds, the lovely deck from which to stargaze on 50 private acres, and the serene area that is West Chicago Creek. Choose to explore at the the Mt. Evans Wilderness area, just a short drive up the road. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound including wildlife viewing, fishing, and peaceful solitude shared with 2 other mountain guest cabins. Be sure to stop in the Idaho Springs Visitor Center and the USFS station for information on trails and outdoor opportunities.

Other things to note
1. This property is outside of ‘normal’ cell tower range. Please come prepared with directions & house rules in-hand as you may not have service once you arrive at the Cabin. Just a few miles away is the town of Idaho Springs with a grocery store, plenty of excellent restaurant options including breweries and distilleries, steak and seafood, saloons, shopping, and so much more. But while at our cabin, be prepared to power down. WiFi is available when you check-in. Basic cable is available.
2. By booking the Cabin on the Pond, you acknowledge that this property is in a high alpine environment which means certain risks could accompany your stay: you could vacation during a major Rocky Mountain snow storm; you must have proper footwear available for the environment; there is natural wildlife on the 50 acres of land including mt lions, bear, mice, fox, moose, and much more; there are two ponds and you agree to hold Owner and Realtor harmless from accidents that occur during your stay. NEVER walk or ice skate/ice fish on the ponds while frozen - it could be thin ice and injury or death could occur. No swimming in fishing ponds.

3. There are two guest cabins on this property. The 50 acres may be shared by others.

4. NO CAMPING OF any sort permitted; ABSOLUTELY NO RV’s ALLOWED, NO SLEEPING TENTS OR POPUP PARTY TENTS. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. THE CABIN IS CAPPED AT 5 total people including children. NO HUNTING, FIREARMS, SHOOTING, TARGET PRACTICE, AND NO ATV’ing. THERE ARE EXTERIOR CAMERAS AT THIS PROPERTY. You will be asked to leave immediately without a refund if you break these rules.

5. Pets are allowed with prior host permission. You must disclose the type and number of pets prior to booking. The fee quoted is PER PET, not one fee for all pets. So if you bring two dogs, the cost is $400 ($200 per pet for the stay). No exceptions.

The space
The main level of the cabin features a kitchen, breakfast seating for four, a bathroom, and living room perfect for playing board games, putting together a puzzle or relaxing with a great book!

The bedroom is located on the lower level and is accessible by a narrow set of stairs from the living room and also by a separate exterior door which leads to the driveway making it a breeze to load and unload your personal belongings. The bedroom has a plush queen bed. The living room sofa offers a fold-out full bed and there's a small bonus loft above the kitchen that has an additional twin mattress. Note: The loft is only accessible from a ladder in the kitchen and is not suitable for children.

This cozy mountain cabin is perfect for singles, couples, or small groups of friends! The ideal capacity is 2-4 guests.

Cabin recently upgraded with Starlink high-speed internet for video streaming and remote work.

Booking includes two private fishing passes to Silver Lake and Lake Quivira only one mile away!

Located 20 minutes from Idaho Springs & 45 minutes from Denver.

Upon arrival you will have full access to the cabin and immediate surrounding area. Guests will not have access to the detached garage on property.

Transportation:
- All-wheel drive vehicles are recommended year round and four-wheel drive vehicles are REQUIRED in the winter months (October-May). If the road is open and your vehicle cannot handle the weather conditions, no refunds will be given.

Weather:
- What makes this area beautiful is also what makes it dangerous. Weather extremes like high winds and snow are common!

- This is a high-altitude Alpine environment. The cabin is situated at 10,000 ft. There is much less oxygen at this altitude and every precaution should be taken to avoid altitude sickness. Basic steps include staying well hydrated, well nourished, and keeping physical exertion to a minimum for the first 24 hours until your body acclimates. Limit alcohol. Always consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

The space
Feel worlds away in a cozy lake side cabin ideal for a secluded family getaway or a romantic couple’s retreat. This cabin provides a quiet and private waterfront location combined with all the amenities needed for a relaxing high-alpine getaway.

If you’re feeling adventurous a 2-person kayak, 2 paddle boards, snow shoes, and fishing equipment is available for use. You can embark on a hike to year-round snow at St. Mary’s Glacier, the trailhead is only a 10 minute walk from the front door. After days outside, return to enjoy warm meals made in the well-equipped kitchen and nights in front of the wood-burning stove.

Guest access
You will have full access to all spaces in the unit. The space is yours while you're there. SkyLodge and its patio is for you to enjoy and is completely private. That being said, please be respectful and considerate of noise after 10pm. The washer/dryer, fishing equipment and life vests are all located downstairs which is accessed with a key code which is given upon booking. The 2-person kayak is located on the premises on the way to the lake.

Other things to note
Due to excessive winter snow, the lake may not be accessible until late spring/early summer.

4-wheel or all-wheel-drive vehicles (ideally with snow tires or cables/chains) are necessary to navigate to the property in heavy winter conditions. It is recommended to book a rental car through ‘TURO’ where you can request and be sure your vehicle will be equipped with snow tires.

There is no trash service at SkyLodge, so please plan on bringing your trash with you when you leave and properly disposing of it when you can.

The loft upstairs is accessible via a ladder/stairs. It isn't ideal for very young or elderly guests.

SkyLodge has limited cell service, but we've never had a problem making calls or sending messages.

Access to SkyLodge is only by stairs.

SkyLodge is located at more than 10,000 feet above sea level. Guests may experience altitude sickness. To reduce its effects, stay hydrated and take rests when feeling short of breath.

Just 3 minutes from downtown Idaho Springs, this tranquil getaway is on 4 acres with a creek & private trail. Enjoy shops, restaurants, hot springs, ski resorts & more! Located within 1 hr of several major ski resorts and surrounded by must-see scenic mountain towns. Also enjoy the city life? Denver is just 40 minutes away. Get the best of both worlds!

The space
This private cabin is on a shared property about 30 feet from the host’s house, which it shares a patio and parking area with. The property itself is 4 acres with plenty of outdoor seating, and a few play areas for toddlers (table, swing, playhouse). There is a private trail which is accessible from the parking area, next to the shed.

The layout for the cabin you’ll be staying in is like so: 1) A main living space that has a couch (or bed if second bed is needed), desk, kitchen, TV and fireplace. 2) A private bedroom with a queen size bed and bookcase. 3) A small, full bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower.

The beds are both queen-sized, firm foam mattresses. We have two mattress toppers: a down-feather fitted topper and 3” memory foam topper. The modular living room couch will be converted to a bed if you need two beds, otherwise will be left as a couch.

A/C: there is a portable evaporative air cooler that runs off cold water and ice packs to cool the space if you feel you need, but the location of the Airbnb keeps cool year round by shade from the mountain and trees.

Heating: the bedroom has an electric heater controlled by a temperature dial on the wall. The living room has a portable space heater and a wood-burning stove. Even on the coldest of winter days, our guests have said the cabin is cozy!

The space
Our Cabin is ideal for 2-4 guests. We've done our best to include everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. This is a true mountain getaway! We are located at 10,300 feet in elevation!

The neighborhood:

The neighborhood offers several great outdoor activities. There are two lakes in the neighborhood that are walking distance from the cabin. The St. Mary's Glacier trailhead is also just a short walk from the cabin. This is one of the most popular hikes in Colorado that takes you to a mountain lake and the St. Marys Glacier that you can walk on!


We are just 30 miles from Loveland Ski Area, 10 miles from downtown Idaho Springs, and 20 miles from the Central City Casino District. Come see a concert at one of the most unique venues in the world - Red Rocks Amphitheater - which is just 30 miles away. If you are looking for a place to do everything Colorado has to offer this is the place. We are located an hour from downtown Denver, within 1.5 hours of Keystone, Breckenridge, and Winter park. We are also conveniently located off I-70 for easy access from Denver International Airport.

Working from Home:
The Cabin is equipped with Starlink internet. I often work remotely from the cabin without issues, but bad weather can affect the speeds at times. Video calling and downloading large files works great!

Cabin Details:

Sleeping: We have 1 bedroom, aka "The Loft" (IMPORTANT: You must be able to manage a steep spiral staircase to access the loft). The loft has a queen sized bed with a cozy quilt and plenty of extra blankets! A full sized futon is also in the loft (The futon mattress is high quality memory foam, and is comfortable for sleeping). The main floor has a set of cozy twin bunk beds.

Kitchen: Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning, as you soak in the views of the forest and mountains. All basic kitchen essentials are provided: Including dishes, pots and pans, baking sheets, silverware, and brand new stainless steel appliances. The kitchen also comes with coffee and a coffee maker. Basic cooking ingredients are included as well, ie: spices and olive oil.

Bathrooms: We have 1 bathroom with all the necessities such as: fresh towels, toilet paper, and other toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

!!Please keep in mind this is a rustic style cabin and some features reflect this!!

Guests are allowed access to the whole house. The property is large and you are free to explore. Please be advised however that the cabin is located on a mountain and the terrain is rocky and steep.

Keep in mind this is a remote cabin in the mountains and is susceptible to inclement weather.
*AWD/4WD vehicles with WINTER TIRES are strongly encouraged from November through May due to our winter driving conditions.

* The cabin is located at 10,300ft in elevation. Altitude sickness is unlikely, but is possible at this altitude. I recommend researching the symptoms of altitude sickness before arriving.

* Internet provider is Starlink. It is the best available on the mountain! Speeds often exceed 200 MBPS. With any satellite internet, storms can interrupt the signal, but I generally have no issues even in inclement weather.

CHILD PROOFING: Guests understand that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any children/infants accompanying them!

This cabin is the perfect spot to rest after a day in the mountains! The main floor living room and kitchen are fully stocked. The upstairs loft is outfitted with a queen bed and a queen size pull-out sofa. The basement features a bunk bed!

Our beautiful mountain location limits our access to internet, so the cell signal, WiFi and cable can be very slow or non-existent at times. We recommend planning to be off-the-grid in case this happens during your stay!

You have access to the entire cabin!

Outdoor access is limited to the space directly in front of the cabin. The surrounding areas are private property. But there are tons of great hiking options just 8 miles up the road at Echo Lake! We recommend searching "Idaho Springs" on the AllTrails website to find options and ideas.

The creek runs behind the cabins but is not physically accessible. It runs on private land that we do not own and there is a steep bank preventing access. Please respect our neighbors and do not attempt to access the creek. But please do open the cabin windows and enjoy the soothing sounds it provides!

Other things to note
No parties of any kind are allowed at our properties. A maximum of 6 people are allowed in the cabin due to fire code. We cannot grant exceptions to this, sorry!

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any early check-ins (check-in is 4:00) because of our cleaning schedule.

Although the cabin is located just 4 miles from town (along a fully paved road), cell phone reception is limited on the property. Cable television is provided! However, our remote location limits our access to internet, so the WiFi can be very slow or non-existent at times. We recommend planning for a relaxing mountain vacation without cell service or internet, just in case technology is not cooperating when you arrive!

Beautiful Creekside, rustic cabin that sits on a historic mining site just outside of Idaho Springs. 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a large deck that sits up above Chicago Creek, surrounded by national forest where you can spend your time relaxing and enjoying all of the activities that surround the mountains. Idaho Springs is a hidden gem where the gold rush first began. Enjoy nearby casinos, hot springs, hiking, rafting, fishing, restaurants, breweries, dispensaries, shopping and much more.

The space
The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a full lofted bed with a workspace underneath. The bathroom has a 3/4 claw foot tub on a small step, with grab bars to help with the transition.

We are happy to host a max 4 people (adults), 2 in each bedroom.

The driveway and parking area is dirt/gravel and may be uneven.

The space
Our cabin is perfect for couples and families with small children. IT IS NOT IDEAL FOR MORE THAN 3 ADULTS, AND THIS IS FIRM. The loft has two twin mattress beds, lots of warm snuggly blankets and board games. The sofa in the main living space folds out to a full-size sleeper sofa. The best part is the mountain - get out and take a hike to St. Mary's Glacier (even little ones can make the hike - it's a must do year round, conditions permitting), fishing at either of two private stocked lakes, using our fishing badges and provided poles, or just enjoy a glass of wine or your favorite beverage on the deck as you enjoy the cool mountain air.

We own the lot to the left, right and behind us, so feel free to explore! Grab the walking stick in the hall closet or find your own behind the cabin to hike up to Nebraska Driver or beyond! Or take a walk down Harris Drive and enjoy the view along the quiet streets of Alice!

Other things to note
During the winter months, it is highly advised to have a 4WD vehicle to traverse through the snow. It's fun, but in a vehicle that is not made to get through snow or steep terrain with snow, your 'fun' might consist of shoveling snow to free trapped tires! Also, remember you are at 10,000 feet - the altitude means that your body will need to adjust to thinner air. Drinking plenty of water and taking frequent breaks if you feel winded is recommended. Please check with your doctor before booking if you may have any conditions that may be adversely affected by a higher altitude. Otherwise, enjoy the clean, crisp air and serene setting.

This charming, open layout and sunshine filled log cabin is at 10,200 ft in St. Mary's, yet only one hour from Denver. The ceiling to floor windows offer amazing views of Chief Mountain and Mt Evans and are enjoyed from inside the cabin and on the deck. Hiking, biking, fishing, snowshoeing and so much more are accessible from the front door. The neighborhood is very quiet and offers a very relaxing place to kick back and enjoy the view.

Enter into a cozy living room on the first level from our patio surrounded by a half-acre private wooded lot. This space features a smart TV, sound system, separate workspace and new Living Spaces sectional & chaise with pull-out memory foam mattress. Moving upstairs a Great Room with high ceilings and soaring windows bring gorgeous mountain and pine forest views, complemented by a raised hearth and fireplace and adjoining deck. A large fully stocked galley kitchen, ample Island and pantry with elegant quartz surfaces open to the Great room and deck. A complete appliance suite supports all of your meal prep plans. From morning coffee, prepped using Drip, French press or Keurig appliances, to support for more elaborate menus, we have you covered.

Off property experiences include non motorized watercraft, Paddle Boarding, Canoeing and Fishing in our community's two private Lakes. Activity on these lakes are not open to the public. However, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) regularly stocks fish in these high-alpine lakes to provide angling opportunities. We provide all Saint Mary's POA licenses and gear! Lake Quivira is catch and release, Lake Silver allows 2 fish per license per day.

This property is part of a larger property with many cabins. The rest of the property is off limits at all times, as all other cabins have either long or short term tenants living in them. Please do not disturb them. If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of the forest, that is very private, this is not it - as noted it is on a large property, but there are many other cabins on the property in addition to this one. Always contact us via the AirBnB app for assistance! By booking this listing, your access is for the CountryRock cabin, and not the surrounding cabins.

Other things to note
We cannot guarantee that we can answer the phone at all hours of the day and night if you call. We have one phone, and the person who answers the phone cannot be awake 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you need anything whatsoever during your stay, you must message us via the Airbnb app. That is the only way we can guarantee a response. We have several staff members who monitor the messages, and can most promptly assist you in that manner.

Guests, please note that this cabin was built many, many years ago. Although it has had many beautiful updates done, it is an old building and is not ADA compliant. Some of its features may not be to current building code, but are consistent to its year of construction.

There have been sightings of bear, mountain lion, deer, elk, moose, and foxes in the area. This is their home too. Please make sure to bring all food inside at night. Do not sleep with the doors open. Animals can be curious!

Enter the creek at your own risk! We are not responsible if you injure yourself by going in the water. We do not recommend that you enter the creek, as it could be unsafe.

Choose to explore at the Mt. Evans Wilderness area, including the majestic Hell’s Hole hiking trail, just a short 2 miles up the road. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound including wildlife viewing, fishing, and peaceful solitude shared with 1 other mountain guest cabin. Be sure to stop in the Idaho Springs Visitor Center and the USFS station for information on trails and outdoor opportunities.

Other things to note
1. This property is outside of ‘normal’ cell tower range. Please come prepared with directions & house rules in-hand as you may not have service once you arrive at the cabin. Just a few miles away is the town of Idaho Springs with a grocery store, plenty of excellent restaurant options including breweries and distilleries with eclectic dining options, mountain saloons, shopping, museums, and so much more. But while at the Cabin, be prepared to power down. WiFi is available when you check-in. Basic tv options are available.

2. By booking the Moose Jaw Cabin on the Pond, you acknowledge that this property is in a high alpine environment which means certain risks could accompany your stay: you could vacation during a major Rocky Mountain snow storm; you must have proper footwear available for the environment; there is natural wildlife on the 50 acres of land including mt lions, bear, mice, fox, moose, and much more; there are two ponds and you agree to hold Owner and Realtor harmless from accidents that occur during your stay. NEVER walk or ice skate/ice fish on the ponds while frozen - it could be thin ice and injury or death could occur. No swimming in fishing ponds.

3. There are two active guest cabins on this property. The 50 acres may be shared by others.

4. NO CAMPING OF any sort permitted; ABSOLUTELY NO RV’s ALLOWED, NO SLEEPING TENTS OR POPUP PARTY TENTS. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. THE CABIN IS CAPPED AT 5 total people including children. NO HUNTING, FIREARMS, SHOOTING, TARGET PRACTICE, AND NO ATV’ing. THERE ARE EXTERIOR CAMERAS AT THIS PROPERTY. You will be asked to leave immediately without refund if you break these rules.

5. Pets are allowed with prior host permission. You must disclose the type and number of pets prior to booking. The fee quoted is PER PET, not one fee for all pets. So if you bring two dogs, the cost is $400 ($200 per pet for the stay). No exceptions.

The space
We've made sure to provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, such as hair dryers, fresh linens/towels, coffee, tea, and plenty of games, movies, and puzzles.

Bedrooms: Our cabin features two bedrooms, one on each floor, each with a comfortable queen-sized bed. Additionally, there's a queen sized sofa bed in the downstairs living room for extra sleeping space.

Kitchen: We supply plenty of coffee and tea, along with basic cooking ingredients such as spices, olive oil, and more. Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, including pots, pans, plates, and silverware.

Entertainment: There are two TVs in the cabin, one in the family room on the main level and a smaller one in the living room upstairs. You can log in to your streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, or watch any of the DVDs we've left on the game shelf.

Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms in the cabin, one on the main floor and one upstairs, both with a shower. The upstairs bathroom also features a tub/shower combo.

Exterior: Our cabin has a beautiful outdoor deck with chairs, where you can relax and enjoy the scenic views. During the summer, you'll see lots of hummingbirds enjoying our feeders. Additionally, your rental of Glacier Ridge Retreat includes access to two private lakes down the road, and we'll provide two fishing badges for you to use.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire cabin excluding the loft and one locked owner's closet. You’ll also have access to both private lakes nearby. If you plan to fish you are allowed to borrow our fishing badges in the summer. There is a driveway to park your vehicle (2 car maximum).

We are at 10,300 feet. We recommend not overexerting yourself on the first day (especially coming from sea level) and drink lots of water starting two days before your visit. Most will start to acclimate after a day or so, but our property manager does offer the rental of an oxygen concentrator to assist with any symptoms.

From Nov through May, AWD or 4WD and snow tires are required for all stays. If your car is not equipped with snow tires, chains could be necessary for travel. We need written confirmation from you at booking that you will have AWD for stays during the required dates.

Welcome to The Alpine Aframe, a charming cabin nestled at over 10,000 feet in the Rockies. For eight months, this cabin was our passion project. We thoughtfully remodeled the space to create a serene and elevated atmosphere. The cabin is a 5 min walk to the St. Mary's Glacier trailhead and a 25 min drive to downtown Idaho Springs. The space
Our Aframe is tiny but mighty! It's 670 sq ft. but feels spacious due to the high ceilings and large windows throughout the front. There are two queen bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and a dining area for four. The living room has many options for getting cozy and a stunning view to admire while relaxing. We also have board games and a smart TV.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance in case you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances or events not covered in the cancellation policy. A four wheel drive vehicle is required from October 1st-May 31st, we will not provide a refund if the roads are open but your vehicle cannot make it. Be advised this is a high elevation cabin and snow storms can occur. During these months only 1 vehicle is permitted since you will need to park at the base of the driveway and walk up the short driveway to the cabin. No additional parking spaces are available. You must be able bodied as the drive way and stairs are steep and can be slick when it snows. You’ll have to clear a path on the deck when it snows during your stay. Fire place usage is not allowed due to our insurance policy. Internet is satellite internet, it may not work during your stay due to weather conditions. Please note, this is our only internet option since this is a remote cabin in the middle of the mountains.

REMOTE CABIN STUFF
-There is no cell service at the cabin as well as a couple of miles away from the cabin. Please plan accordingly and have all check in details ready before arriving onsite. WIFI calling does work.
- Our cabin has satellite Starlink internet and therefore the connection can sometimes drop for a few seconds every hour or so. Not noticeable unless work from home with lots of long duration video and voice calls. Use your time at our home to disconnect from technology and embrace the beauty of the Rockies!
- The Master Bedroom has low, sloped ceilings so please watch your head when going upstairs and walking around!

SNOW
- During winter / spring months, we highly recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to be able to easily park in our potentially snowy / icy driveway. Please plan accordingly as we do not offer refunds due to road conditions and incapable vehicles. The driveway is short at only about 50 yards from a county-maintained road that is well-plowed. Guests may have to shovel out (snow shovel provided) the driveway if there is a large snowstorm during the visit. Large snowstorms occur 1-5 times/season. It is recommended to be able-bodied during winter/early spring months.

WILDLIFE
- Please do not leave trash and food outside as this will attract wildlife! Bears, elk, big horn sheep, and deer roam the area. However, encounters are rare.

WIND
- The cabin occasionally gets high winds, especially in the winter months, sometimes reaching up to 65 miles per hour. The noise from the wind can be quite noticeable. Ensure you and your guests understand that such conditions may exist during your stay.

LANDSCAPE
- The land can be uneven, rocky, and dangerous in the Rocky Mountains. Please be mindful of proper footing around the property.

This home is only steps away from Mt. Evans Trout Fishing (Grandma and Grandpa's Fishing Pond)! And downtown Idaho Springs is only about 7 minutes down the road, with many restaurants and shops.

The space
You will have the entire cabin to yourself. On the ground floor you will find the living room, kitchen and full bathroom, with a large soaking tub -- perfect for your sore skiing/hiking muscles! Next to the living room there are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Head up into the loft (via ladder) for 2 twin beds and a kids/teen hangout area.

Please be prepared for limited-to-no cell signal and internet connection at the cabin. Cell signals and our satellite internet both come and go due to our valley location.
