Whimsical Hollow is a darling full log cabin that is nestled among some of the highest mountain peaks in Colorado. The views are absolutely amazing and the home is surrounded by spruce and pine trees. It is a serene and very romantic location. The home has all new furniture and amenities of the highest quality.

The romantic living room has a wood burning fireplace for cozy nights around the fire (you may want to bring extra wood!). There is a dining room with a table that seats 4 and a fully equipped kitchen. There is additional seating at the kitchen bar also. You will find everything you need to make your family chef happy.

There is a bedroom with a king size bed on the main floor. It has beautiful mountain decor and furnishings. It is next to the full bath which has a walk-in shower. The decorations throughout the home are exquisite. Everything reflects the cozy romantic atmosphere of a luxury mountain cabin. Upstairs there is a second spacious bedroom which also has a king size bed. It too has new furniture, linens and amenities. You will love the views from the bed. You can look right out of the two story windows and see the beautiful white capped mountains. What a way to wake up!

The property is on a dead end road with very few properties. It is not a busy and crowded location. You will most likely not see anyone during your stay except an occasional visitor such as a moose or fox. There are also deer and bears in the area. If you watch closely you may even see some elk. The front porch runs the length of the front of the house and has comfortable seating where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee and take in the gorgeous mountain views. There is a gas grill provided behind the home.

The area is know for it's unlimited outdoor activities. Almost anything you can think of is within minutes of the home. You can hike and explore the National Forest right behind the home. There is a road just above the location of the home that you can hike to the end of and be right in the National Forest. Many of the famous 14'ers are located in this area where you can hike or climb. Horseback riding is just a few minutes from the home at the Platte River Ranch. They have hay rides, hour long rides, and even evening steak rides. If you like white-water rafting, the Arkansas River is only a few miles away. You can raft at Buena Vista. They have a variety of trips from safe photo floats to wild rapid trips. ATVing is also great in the area. There are multiple locations where you can ATV. One Trail over Mosquito Pass takes you right into Leadville where you can enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants in the restored mining town. This is a fabulous place to shop for antiques too!

Our adventurous spirits lead us to purchase our cozy log cabin in 2015. This is a place to get away and unplug from the noise of the city, recharge and be rejuvenated by the awesome surroundings. (It is only a 95 minute drive from southwest Denver on 285. We avoid the crazy I-70 traffic and congestion). Through our front window, we have the spectacular view of Mt. Sherman, which is a 14"er". Enjoying a cup of coffee from our welcoming and relaxing porch and watching the sunrise burst above Mt. Sherman is a wonderful way to greet the day.

This beautiful area and our cozy log cabin are just too special not to share. The fellowship of family and friends is what has inspired us to open our home and hearth. This is a great log home in a beautiful location. NO CLEANING FEES. Located 4 miles south of Fairplay in a gated community, Warm Springs Ranch, that borders National Forest land. This property is a Convenant Controlled Community which is a Gated Community. Due to drought conditions in the West, Fires Will Not Be Permitted. You are liable to see elk, antelope, deer just outside the entrance to this area. At night, the stars seem to jump out at you and views of beautiful mountains abound. The changing seasons brings surprises of beautiful aspen and great snow, while you are cozy in the cabin with a welcoming propane stove and all the amenities of home. All roads are well maintained but four wheel drive is required in the winter months. Skiing in major ski areas can be found at Breckenridge (29 miles), Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, Monarch, Loveland and others. There is some thing for everyone and stocked fishing ponds located within the subdivision with no fishing license required. Lovely Rec Center in Fairplay.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms - one rather large loft concept upstairs and one downstairs both with baths. Main floor has the kitchen/dining and living area with plenty of natural light. Lovely front porch which allows one to sit on and admire the scenery or eat outside on a large wooden picnic table.

Aspen Acres is an adorable cabin nestled in the woods south of Breckenridge in Park County. The location is perfect for skiing and boarding in Breckenridge, ATV-ing, hiking, or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful solitude. The great room and kitchen were just renovated in early 2023!

The home has 2 bedrooms and one bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a Queen Bed with a set of bunk beds.. There is a bath with a shower/tub combo. The bath also has a washer and a dryer. There are two family rooms. The upstairs has two comfortable sofas and a television with satellite programming as well as a DVD player, so bring along your favorite movies. The main floor has a cozy wood stove that adds to the charm of the home and seating area to relax and chat. The floor to ceiling windows give you a fantastic view of the mountains.. The kitchen is well equipped with all dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. You will have everything you need. There is a dining table for 6 and extra room at the counter if needed.

The home has a large deck on the back of the house with great views. In the summer and fall months, there is a picnic area with table and lounging chairs nestled in the aspens. As a bonus, there is a shed that can be used for guest storage (e.g. skis, etc.)

Breckenridge is only 25 miles from the home. Other Aspen Acres ski venues (Copper Mtn Keystone, Vail, Monarch, Ski Cooper) are roughly 40 miles from the home. Other winter activities nearby include cross country skiing, snowmobiling. During the summer, there's white water rafting, hiking, ATV trails, biking, fishing, hunting, and camping. You can relax and just enjoy the natural beauty or head out to the nearby towns/resorts/parks, and enjoy the unlimited winter and summer activities the area has to offer.
In the summer you will be in the center of all activities including old mine ruins, Montgomery Reservoir, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Bross, Mt. Quandry and many more. Fairplay (just 5 miles away) is the activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and is often referred to as the Base Camp for all activities some of which include hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding, ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, 4-wheeling, ATVing, mine exploring, canoeing, kayaking, and much, much more. The only complain I would have is that it would have been nice to have a dedicated cleaned area for the dog to use the restroom and the hot water ran out very quickly. Private, beautiful, cozy log cabin located in Fairplay, CO. Our cabin is approximately 1,400 square feet, 2 floors with 2 bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed), 2 full bathrooms and a large deck on 10 acres backing the Pike National Forest.
