This beautiful, newly remodeled, Cabin is NOT part of a larger commercial complex of cabins (like Lemmon Lodge or Columbine Cabins) but it is a stand alone family-owned cabin. It is located in the quiet part of town where wildlife is louder than humans, and we love to keep it that way, so please no partying:)! The hill is nicknamed, Wood Pecker Hill, and it is located in the Historic Town of Grand Lake with walking distance to the sandy beach, the boardwalk on Grand Avenue and the classic hiking trails of Rocky Mountain National Park. The original part of the cabin was built in 1903.

Take in the stunning views of Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Mount Baldy through the cabin’s open floor plan and big picture windows.

Breathe in the fresh mountain air and catch the Colorado sun on the large new deck and don’t forget to gaze at the Milky Way at night.

Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace after a long day on the lake or in the mountains.
And experience the precious wildlife all around you. Moose frequently graze around the cabin, and we have seen Elk, Bears, Foxes, Owls and Eagles in the area.

Nestled into the corner of Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake is an ideal location for a weekend (or week long!) getaway.

This cabin is conveniently situated in downtown Grand Lake, just 300 feet from private lakefront and a two minute walk from downtown.

We are located in the community of historic Lemmon Lodge, which offers exclusive access to a private beach and dock, five wooded acres and private lake frontage, as well as access to private fishing on the North Inlet. The cabin is one block from the historic downtown “Boardwalk,” providing walkable and convenient access to all shopping and dining in Grand Lake.

We do not have a direct lake view, but walk 300 feet in either direction, and you have your choice of enjoying private beachfront at the Lemmon Lodge beach or the Grand Lake public beach. We are located next door to the Grand Lake Yacht Club and a short walk from The Wake at The Marina and Myauchi’s - our favorite places to enjoy our morning coffee and lunch or ice cream runs during the summer months.

This is a two bedroom, one bathroom cabin. It has a full kitchen, which allows for cooking any meals, as well as an outdoor picnic area. The main living area has a fireplace, and ample room to enjoy cozy nights playing board games and cards (provided!) at the cabin. There are two decks with seating and a peekaboo lake view from the master deck during the winter months, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. The master bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom has one queen bed and one twin bed. The unit comfortably sleeps up to five guests.

The main floor of the unit is the original cabin, built in the 1940's. The top floor was later added, giving this cabin historic charm, perfectly paired with modern conveniences.

If you have children, please note that a pack n' play, baby blankets, a booster seat-style high chair are in the second bedroom closet. A wagon for trips to the beach and town are included during summer months. We also have a basket on the main floor that includes a selection of children's toys, puzzles and books.

The stairs are steep, and a baby gate is NOT installed. Our small children navigate them easily, but please consider this, if you are travelling with small children or ANYONE with a disability or trouble with stairs. Please do not stay in our cabin if steep stairs concern you.

No dogs or pets of any kind are allowed. Our youngest son is allergic to cats and dogs, so this is of particular concern to us. The HOA will assess a fine of $100-$350 per offense, per day. The offending guest will be responsible in full for the fee payment.

There are two dedicated parking spaces in front of the unit. Trailers, RV's and tenting are not allowed. The HOA will assess a fine of $100-$350 per offense, per day. The offending guest will be responsible in full for the fee payment.

Please - NO SMOKING of any kind - either inside OR outside of the cabin on the decks. A $250 deep clean fee will be assessed if the appearance of smoking inside or on the decks of the cabin is apparent (cigarette butts, ashing), or if any smoke smell in the cabin is detected by our cleaning crew or property manager. If you are a "smoker," please do not rent our cabin.

We have 1-2 kayaks with paddles and life jackets available for your use from late May through late September. They are stored behind the house and can be carried to the Lemmon Lodge beach, just a short walk from the cabin. Please do not leave the kayaks on the beach. They must be stored behind the cabin each night.

We also have a wagon for hauling beach gear (or kayaks!). Please note that the kayaks and wagon are placed in storage from late September through late May.

Boat slips at our private dock are available for rent for $50/day, based on availability. If you have a boat, the public boat launch is less than a mile from our house. You may leave your trailer and car for up to three days at the public boat launch. From the public boat launch, the Lemmon Lodge docks are just around the corner! You may rent a boat slip for the duration of your reservation, pending availability.

We have a gas grill just outside of our back kitchen door during the summer season, available for your use. We share a picnic table with Cabin 3 (the table is located between our cabins). Cabin 3 rarely uses it, but please note that it is shared space.

We fell in love with this property because it is within a two minute walk to all things needed for an ideal getaway: private beach, private dock, some of the best fishing in Colorado, spectacular hiking and snowshoeing trails, public beach and marina (where paddle boat and boat rentals are available), cafes/coffee shops, restaurants, a large public playground and more...these are all just steps from our front door! And when sitting on the front porch or in the back at the picnic table, it is nothing short of serene.

And Grand Lake isn't just for summer getaways! The town is known as the snowmobiling capital of the US. Snowmobiles are available for rent just a few blocks from the cabin, and can be driven throughout town (snow conditions permitting), as well as on hundreds of miles of trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. Grand Lake has world class ice fishing, and the nordic center is located appx. one mile from the cabin, boasting miles of trails, along with a sledding hill. Ski Granby Ranch is a 25 minute drive, and Winter Park is 45 minutes away.

Whatever the season, with the spectacular scenery and year-round activities that Grand Lake offers, there is no better place to book a vacation.

The cabin is located just 3 miles south of Grand Lake, only a 5 minute drive into town. Venture into Rocky Mountain National Park, located just 6 minutes away or be at the slopes in Winter Park in just 35 minutes!

Our 256 sq ft cabin is perfect for couple or a family with a small child. The cabin is a studio layout featuring a queen bed and a futon couch that folds out. The cabin has a full sized kitchen that is stocked with all of the cooking essentials you could need to prepare meals in during your stay. The bathroom boasts a large walk in shower, heated floors and a vintage wall mounted sink that was found on the property and restored!

One parking space is provided per booking. If you plan on bringing a boat/trailer, please inform us ahead of time so we can accommodate a parking space nearby for you.

Things to note: Because of the cabin's easy access to roads, this cabin will not offer absolute silence and seclusion and may not be the place for you. You will hear highway noises during your stay. In winter, this proximity is appreciated by guests because of the snow. Like most mountain homes in this area, there is also proximity to neighbors.

The cabin has a key-less entry lock. A code will be provided upon booking.

We recommend having a car to get around during your trip. There is phenomenal hiking, wildlife, skiing, and hot springs all within a 30 minute drive (or less) of the cabin!

If you are traveling during the winter months, December through March, we highly recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle so that you don't have any issues getting over Berthoud Pass. Winter weather can start as early as October and go as late as May. Please check the weather and plan ahead!

For severe weather, we do have a strict cancellation policy as defined by Airbnb. However, we are sensitive to those traveling in the mountains when the weather is capable of shutting down the roads. If highways are closed due to severe weather, we will provide at minimum a partial refund for the night(s) affected by closed roads. If the highways are open, the remaining nights will still be charged full price. Typically, roads are not closed for more than 24 hours at a time.

There is a $300 deposit for the cabin. It is not charged to you upon booking, only reserved in the case of damage or theft. If something gets damaged or broken, please let us know and we will figure out a solution.

**There are two main routes into Grand Lake if you are coming from the East. The quickest way is to take I-70 to Berthoud Pass. Denver to Grand Lake is a 2 hour drive. The second route, over Trail Ridge Road through RMNP is more scenic and costs $25/car. If you drive from Denver, over Trail Ridge Road and into Grand Lake it is about a 3 hour drive.
**Please note that Trail Ridge Road is closed throughout the winter as most of the road is above treeline. Please visit their website for daily road closures.

The original living area of the home was built over 65 years ago and still utilizes the original stone fireplace constructed in the1950's. The warm, rustic living area is perfect for family game nights, an afternoon book, or a cozy night by a crackling fire. The corner dining nook is the perfect space to gather the family while cooking in the kitchen. Just off the living area is full bathroom complete with a shower. The first private bedroom off the main living area offers a twin-size bed with a quaint reading desk, great for working remotely. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We had to leave a few days earlier than planned because of the snow storm but we definitely want to come back!" - "The description of this property was accurate, met our vacation needs, and the host was very friendly, responsive and helpful. We (me, my husband, adult son, and our 25 pound dog) wanted to stay some place centrally located in Grand Lake with easy access to the water and downtown but that was in our budget. This property met all those needs and more since it also came with the use of 2 kayaks and a paddleboard. Lake access was very close and convenient, downtown was a 10 minute walk away, and check-in and out was a breeze. This is a very compact cabin and the 3 of use felt like we fit without much room to spare. It can sleep more people which I think could work if part of the group were small children and most time was spent outside. Great location, great lake access!"

The cabin is located just 3 miles south of Grand Lake, only a 5 minute drive into town. Venture into Rocky Mountain National Park, located just 5 minutes away or be at the slopes in Winter Park in just 35 minutes!

The cabin features a big yard with an outdoor fire pit and seating that may be used in the summer/fall (typically May-October) when there are not burn bans. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom with a walk in shower. The living room features a TV with access to Hulu & Netflix. The cabin is stocked with all of the essentials you should need during your stay including basic toiletries, towels, linens, and cookware. There is also a small beverage station featuring coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Two parking spaces are available in front of the cabin. If you plan on bringing a boat/trailer, please inform us ahead of time so we can accommodate a parking space nearby for you.

Things to note: Because of the cabin's easy access to roads, this cabin will not offer absolute silence and seclusion and may not be the place for you. The cabin is located right off of the highway, so you will hear highway noises during your stay. We provide ear plugs for you if you are sensitive to the noise at night. In winter, this proximity is appreciated by guests because of the snow and plowed roads. Like most mountain homes in this area, there is also proximity to neighbors.

The cabin has a key-less entry lock. A code will be provided upon booking.

We recommend having a car to get around during your trip. There is phenomenal hiking, wildlife, skiing, and hot springs all within a 30 minute drive of the cabin!

If you are travelling during the winter months, December through March, we highly recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle so that you don't have any issues getting over the pass. Winter weather can start as early as October and go as late as May. Please check the weather and plan ahead!

For severe weather, we do have a strict cancellation policy as defined by Airbnb. However, we are sensitive to those traveling in the mountains when the weather is capable of shutting down the roads. If highways are closed due to severe weather, we will provide at minimum a partial refund for the night(s) affected by closed roads. If the highways are open, the remaining nights will still be charged full price. Typically, roads are not closed for more than 24 hours at a time.

There is a $300 deposit for the cabin. It is not charged to you upon booking, only reserved in the case of damage or theft. If something gets damaged or broken, please let us know and we will figure out a solution.

**There are two main routes into Grand Lake if you are coming from the East. The quickest way is to take I-70 to Berthoud Pass. Denver to Grand Lake is a 2 hour drive. The second route, over Trail Ridge Road through RMNP is more scenic and costs $25/car. If you drive from Denver, over Trail Ridge Road and into Grand Lake it is about a 3 hour drive.
**Please note that Trail Ridge Road is closed throughout the winter as most of the road is above treeline. Please visit https://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/road_status.htm to check daily closures of the road.

Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. I picked this property because we were staying for an extended period and wanted to be tucked away/out of the fray, have room to relax, and still have quick access to activities. It was just right for that -- close to trails and the lake, and the patio/decks were enjoyable and had lovely views. Getting into town was a quick bike ride or drive.

The property was great and worked very well for our family of 6. The location was perfect as it was a only a15 minute walk to town. Great views from every room. Our only suggestions are some instructions for the two showers and how to operate the two TVs. We figured both out but would've liked some help. Thanks for a great stay and would recommend this house for winter or summer trip.

Spectacular Views and Ideal Location overlooking Grand Lake!

We felt as if we were truly sitting on top of the world. With 360 degree views of the mountains, lake and the valley below, this location was definitely one of our all-time favorites. The home is stunning, clean, filled with amenities and comfortable. We will be back!

We had the best time celebrating my 26th birthday here. The views are incredible. You will spend the entire time staring out the windows, pictures simply don’t do it justice. The snow made it even prettier than I could have imagined. The actual cabin is so cute and it was very clean. This was the first vacation rental that I have stayed in that the bed was SO comfortable. They have pretty much everything you could ever need here. The town is so cute and fun to explore! I could go on and on about this place. We will definitely be returning in the summer!

This cabin is from the 1940s. It is cozy, rustic, and very romantic, and it is located in a quiet neighborhood directly in the village. A front/side yard has a BBQ grill, table/chairs, and firepit dedicated to our guests for this cabin!

**Please note that the mountains are a host to MANY types of wildlife. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, unwanted wildlife such as chipmunks or mice can sometimes find their way into mountain cabins. If you are uncomfortable with this possibility, this vacation choice may not be the best for you.

Built in 1961, our tiny cabin is located in the heart of Grand County just outside the charming and picturesque town of Grand Lake between Lake Granby and Shadow Mountain Lake. Our 2 BR, 2 BA rustic cabin has basic modern conveniences to make for a wonderful mountain vacation experience. WiFi is now available, but we encourage you and your family to enjoy the simplicity of the cabin, unplug & get away from it all. The natural outdoor environment is perfect for relaxing & viewing local wildlife.

The space
Enter the cabin and enjoy a cozy living space with an open floor plan, including a small family room and kitchen in one main room. Enjoy our well stocked kitchen with spices and condiments, while watching the hummingbirds from the kitchen table. Two small bedrooms with blackout curtains are separated by a ¾ bathroom – one Queen bed and one Double bed. A second full bathroom with Washer/Dryer is located off the mudroom for a little extra privacy or traffic overflow.

To truly appreciate the mountain experience, gather around our gas fire pit for an evening under the stars. Outside there is a gas BBQ grill on the deck and a gas fire pit down below. Grab one of our cozy throw blankets and sit on the deck to take in the fresh mountain air. Alternatively, snuggle up with a fire in our wood fireplace inside and enjoy the large windows looking out the front, perfect for viewing local wildlife.

We take great pride in offering a family friendly cabin. Our cabin offers a natural outdoor space. From our deck, our cabin is sure to provide the perfect mountain getaway for your family. The family room includes a small sofa bed and two swivel chairs, WiFi , a TV with basic channels and a phone. There is a small library of DVDs or you can use your login credentials to access apps like Netflix on the TV. You will find toys, puzzles, movies, games and books to entertain the kids. For the older kids and adults, you will find plenty of games and DVDs to select from to gather as a family and enjoy on evenings or rainy days.

Our tiny 788 sf cabin is set on a tiny 1/3 acre wooded lot. The driveway can accommodate three vehicles, or one RV/Truck & Trailer and one vehicle for your outdoor adventures.

Our neighbors behind us, next to us and across from us have additional wooded acreage that creates a beautiful (relatively) secluded environment welcoming elk, red fox, chipmunks and the like. Our immediate next door neighbors are kind, and often not here.

You're welcome to explore the area immediately surrounding the cabin. As you do, please respect our neighbors' privacy and the neighboring land around us. Relax and enjoy the breathtaking beauty and quiet fortitude of the woods. Smile, wave and say hello!

Other things to note
As like most Colorado hosts, we are 420 friendly (outside only). Please be sure to extinguish carefully and properly. Don’t stub anything out on a log or tree stump, or flick it onto the ground. Our main concern is fire safety.

There is a double bed, shower, kitchenette with toaster, range top, coffee & tea, and small refrigerator and plates, silverware, pots/pans and glassware in a studio layout. No oven or microwave. You should have everything you need to cook a full meal. There is a small area in front of the cabin for picnicking and lounging in the sun.

You have full access to your private cabin as well as a small semi-private outdoor area. There is a communal backyard with a fire pit and Hot Tub. Over the winter the back yard is more of a snow mound but we provide shovels and some wood if you're adventurous and would like to roast marshmallows.

Other things to note
We've just purchased this property and are so excited to share it with our guests. The property has a hobbit like feel with trees, stone walkways, and cabins all nestled in a charming location. If we're not on the property message or call anytime and we can be there soon to help with anything at any time. We've loved sharing our little cabin in Pine with Airbnb guests and are excited to share our new little rental cabins and want you to feel right at home. Our lodge is 3 miles from the charming town of Grand Lake & 7 miles from the Western Gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Cozy up to one of our 12 themed cabins nestled up to the canal. Enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of the mountains by our 2 communal fire pits. Year around fishing, hiking, and new Gameroom. MLL was built in the 1950's; these authentic rustic cabins are the perfect retreat. Onsite are 3 outside security cameras for your safety. One camera is located in detached Gameroom.

This cabin comes with a small kitchen, double cook burner, counter top oven, table, shower, amazing courtyard for all guests to gather. Come in the Winter or Summer you'll feel right at home in the "The Tack Room" cabin is a studio, 1 bathrooms. Spectacular mountain views of the canal with amazing trout fishing in our backyard.

Enjoy our eclectic decor you get the impression of cows everywhere & there's a huge frying pan as decoration. At Mountain Lakes Lodge we provide exceptional hospitality with sparkling clean cabins that have been updated with modern amenities. These adorable rustic themed cabins at Mountain Lakes Lodge come with several amenities onsite. In the middle of the lodge there's a huge courtyard with a big communal fire pit several picnic tables & bbq grills for the perfect Rocky Mountain getaway.

Our property has two huge wild raspberries bushes to pick fresh. Also the cabins nestles back to the canal were you'll find horse shoes, corn hole, & another communal fire pit. The guests are welcome to fish from our backyard in the canal excellent trout fishing. Our game room is currently under construction till summer of 2020. We are a family & dog friendly establishment we have a rustic park on site for all guest & kids to enjoy comes with swings, slide, & a little rock climbing wall. During the summer don't miss our fresh herbs we grow on property the perfect finish to your dinner cooked right on one of many bbq grills. No breakfast on site or in cabins however we do have coffee, tea, & some snacks.

Other things to note
Remember being so close to RMNP means there's a ton of wild life in the area. On the property you can see elk, moose, fox, chipmunks, & black bear! Observe at a safe distance, please dispose of your garbage responsibly & never feed the animals.

Our pet friendly property has individual private fenced in back yards with decks. We'll allow well behaved dogs with a $25 pet fee for each dog please see rules for details. We love to here any feedback to help make your stay as comfy as possible.

Our property has a very big lot for boats, trailers, & big equipment please let us know in advance if you'll be bringing these items. Upon request we can offer monthly rates we'll charge the price listed plus 15% discount. Thanks for considering our cabins for your Grand Lake visit. Reminder Grand Lake is known for the largest natural lake in Colorado.

***NOTE: Our area can be assessed year around via I-70, & during the summer via Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park. It's open approximately from Memorial Day weekend in May through Columbus Day in October. Please visit National Park Service for any updated road conditions. Please note Trial Ridge Road is CLOSED in the winter. Keep in mind you can still drive 10 minutes into RMNP with access to trails & visitor center in the winter.

One final comment looks can be deceiving this place looks different from the outside then the inside. These cabins are adorable themed cabins 12 onsite with years of love from local artist. Come inside before you make up your mind & check out the mountain views.
