The biggest negative for me was the property management. We booked prior to COVID-19, so we had to consider the possibility of cancelling or rescheduling our trip (which involved several different property stays) and this was the only location that gave us a hard time about possibly having to cancel. Considering the worldwide pandemic, I felt that they should have been a little bit more considerate and flexible with us. We still went on our trip and had a fantastic time...communication with the property management notwithstanding. I would recommend the property with the caveat that I hope you never have to contact the stubborn management team."

Our house was built in 2017 and has 3 bedrooms and an office upstairs. We are easy access to Woodmen road, a main thoroughfare, and 15 minutes to I-25. New restaurants are popping up less than 10 minutes away, including Sushi, Mexican, and The Skirted Heffers. The Air Force Academy and Garden of the Gods are a mere 20 minute drive. Hiking and trail systems are easily accessible as well including the Manitou Incline. Perfect for nurses and business travelers!

We live in a 2 story house, with the main living area on the first floor. Guests have access to the living room, washer and dryer, internet, barbecue grill and kitchen. We have 2 Labrador Retrievers who are 5 years old and the sweetest most lovable ever! They do like to greet you at the door.
We have a queen size bed for two adults and a private bathroom. Perfect for a quiet getaway with gorgeous views!

Enjoy living in a turnkey two story haven decked with unique stone, sparkling porcelain, rich walnut and hickory wood throughout. Decadent layered cotton bed linens and marvelous thick towels provided, at your preference. Access to the bedroom is on the main level (upper level) and straight down the hall to the right when you come in the front door.
On the main level, a chefs dream kitchen fully stocked with all of the items you will need, just bring ingredients! You will have cabinet, fridge/ freezer space for food in the kitchen. A comfortable dining area which doubles as a workspace a workspace in your room as well. Two comfortable living areas with large smart TVs including several media apps and super high speed WiFi. Smart Tv in your room too, at your preference. Mobile laptop/ tablet desk available on request. Access to games and books for entertainment beyond screens.
Perfect for a traveling professional. The seldomly shared sparkly clean bathroom is steps away from your bedroom door.
On the main level you will find great room living with access to a backyard seasonal garden oasis, shaded by an enormous apple tree (edible-best in fall) multiple stone patio areas, multi-layered decks, a propane fire bowl, BBQ, dining table and loungers.
Shared Laundry is downstairs. A surfer beach theme greets you in a bright lower level living area with adjacent work out area.

I have beautiful, friendly, professionally trained and well behaved husky dogs. They will give you love if you want or leave you be if you prefer. They do not bark much except to say hello. They are pretty mellow around the house. They come in and out of the dog door which is located in the patio door to the back deck in the kitchen.

One bedroom with one queen bed called the "Bear room" since my life long collections of bears fill the room when guests are not in the room. Some make great pillows for relaxing reading. Two adults and two young children have slept in this room. Two adults best fit. Use of the kitchen, porches, and dining area are also included for your use part of the time during your stay. Please check with the host to arrange the times you would like to use shared areas . Creek area to enjoy. Balcon. I bed.

The space
There is now one queen bed with electric heated dual control mattress pad in this upstairs bedroom of a Colorado State Historical society house built in 1919 that was originally purchased from Sears catalog. There is a unique small porch on the east side of this room that allows guests a view of the sunrise while sitting outside . A closet, dressers and large small and large roll desks are also part of the room. A grandmother, her daughter and two young grandkids aged one and three stayed in this room. We recommend it for 2 adults and one small child that can sleep in a porta crib that we usually have available. A child or young adult could also sleep on a pad on the floor that we can make available but it would be crowded. Our last guest like it so much he stayed over a year.

Kitchen, dining area, fireplace room with firewood. Three old fashioned porches with furnishings that make them very useful. Approximately eight acres to explore between house and creek. Porch like balcony attached to the bedroom.

During your stay
We try to stay available via text or phone and are usually sleeping right in the next room and if really needed immediately you can knock loudly on the bedroom door. Please understand that sometimes we trust our guest to come while we are away and not immediately available. We expect guest to come right in when this is the case and go upstairs to their room. This room has little stuffed teddy bears hanging on the door.

Other things to note
We do want to make sure you know that the 1.5 bathrooms are shared with the host and other guests when there are other guests. Our guests have been great so far about working this out well together. One is large with a new shower and the other is extremely small and on the main floor of the house. There are a flight of stairs up to the second story bedroom. There are also four steps to get in the front of the house. We do have a housing development going in across the street from us so come as as soon as you can before all the houses go in and you can still see part of the old Alfalpha field out of the east window. It looks like they are going to have a pond and the elm trees are growing around the pond. Canadian geese and hawks are claiming the pond and often seen in it and in the creek to the west of the house along with many wild Turkeys just seen near the house today in Dec. 2022. Blue Heron also nest and travel through this area often. White tailed deer have been seen in the pasture and at the front corner of the house.

Welcome to our airbnb, perfect for travelers seeking comfort and convenience during their stay! Our home is nestled in a tranquil neighborhood with a beautiful mountain view in South Colorado Springs. There are abundance of restaurants, cafes, groceries, parks, attractions nearby within 5 minutes drive; 9 minutes to Fort Carson Gate 20; 12 minutes to the airport; 24 minutes to Garden of Gods, etc.

The space
We have our fully-furnished first floor available for guests only, offering three cozy guest rooms, a spacious living room with a workspace, a dining area with a coffee station (a microwave and a mini fridge are provided, but cooking is not available), a convenient laundry room and a clean full bathroom on the hallway that you may share with any other fellow guests, so please be considerate. This guest room has a comfortable king bed, fresh lines, a private workspace and ample storage space. The bedroom door can be locked from inside by a door chain or outside with a padlock that is provided. You may check the cabinet on the hallway for any other extra essentials you might need.

We are a family of five with two delightful girls and a baby boy living on the second floor. I hope their playful energy would bring warmth to your stay, and we strive to keep any disturbance to a minimum. You may hear our kids playing around, practicing piano, baby crying and our neighbors’s dogs barking sometimes during the day but generally very peaceful during our quiet hours when we are getting ready for bedtime. I don’t recommend our place for people who are light sleepers or prefer really quiet place to stay but the earplugs are provided if you don’t mind. We are a family-friendly household and welcome guests of all ages. Meanwhile, I kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation with the noise level. Our quiet hours are 9pm to 7am. Also, smoking is not allowed in the house including yard and driveway. We love to host you and hope you’ll all have a fantastic stay with us! Thank you!
